Messed up free icloud account

I blew it. On my latest iPhone upgrade, I got iCloud. When I went to set it up, I messed up the config. First I used an email account that is fine for making purchases but wasn't the account I wanted to use for iCloud. So I deleted it. Then I tried to create a new iCloud ID but mistyped in the email address...twice.  I deleted those iCloud accounts from my iPhone too.
However, now iPhone won't let me create a new free iCloud account because I've used up the three "3 accounts" for my iPhone.
Since I don't actually have active iCloud accounts, how do I clear them so I can start all over from the beginning?

You can create an alias at iCloud.com
Open the mail app there, choose the settings gear, select accounts, then create an alias with whatever name you want

I had the same issue on my iPod touch 4th Gen, I noticed the issue after updating the device to 6.1.5. I dont know what device or IOS your running but if it is similar then I think this ma be the cause. My solution to you is to create a free apple ID on their website, https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/wa/createAppleId. Hope this helped and good luck!

  • I got this iPad as an open box deal on bestbuy, it says the device is no longer eligible for creating a free iCloud account. How do I fix this?

I got this iPad as an open box deal on bestbuy, it says the device is no longer eligible for creating a free iCloud account. How do I fix this?

You cannot fix it. Nobody can. There is a limit to how many free iCloud accounts that can be created on one iOS device and the limit is three. Obviously, this device reached that limit which means that this open box iPad was most likely owned by someone else or customers that used theiPad in the store got cute and created iCloud accounts on it and then deleted them.
So that's why deggie is recommending that you return the iPad to Best Buy and get your money back. You bought a device that should have never been sold to you.

Guess we're stucked and live with it. I hate this policy of limiting accounts to use on a device but the good thing is I just logged in using my account and asked my daughter what are the apps and music she wanted to download on the device. After we load everything she needs, I just deleted my account in the device and disassociated it from my iCloud account. It's still works as intended but the only caveat is she cannot use the find my ipad application.

  • Device is no longer eligible for a free Icloud account

This Ipad has been passed down by 2 others, and now person 3 can't set up an Icloud account because "This device is no longer eligible for a free Icloud account". How do I go about this?

If I create one at https://appleid.apple.com/account, would that work when I try to sign in?

  • This device isn't eligible for creating a free iCloud account

I have already created an Apple ID for the iCloud and I'm trying to sign in from the phone in the iCloud menu. It says this device isn't eligible for creating a free icloud account.

  • Can't create apple id this device is no longer eligible FOR CREATING A FREE ICLOUD ACCOUNT

I am not able to create a new i cloud apple id apple phone showing this error (can't create apple id this device is no longer eligible FOR CREATING A FREE ICLOUD ACCOUNT). So i requested please help us.
    Thanks

Any one device can create only three iCloud accounts; if your phone has already created three then it can never create any more - this is tied to the hardware, not the user account. You can create an iCloud account on another iOS device or a Mac and then you will be able to sign into that on your phone.

  • I bought an iPhone 4s from someone, this person used all the free iCloud accounts,

I bought an iPhone 4s from someone, this person used all the free iCloud accounts, now is it possible to delete this accounts without getting hold of this person? If not, is there a way of getting another

Open Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings, so the phone will be wiped to start with your Apple ID and set up iCloud

    Hi Alisson.Oliver,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
Are you asking about email aliases for your iCloud account?  If so, the limit is three.  This article will explain how to manage them.

  • How can I get a free icloud account. so my device are not allow me to create a free icloud accoun so far , THEY DONT LET ME TO DO SO. HELP ME PLEASE THANK U

So far I'm not using ipad cos I really confused about it, my ipad is not eligible to create free icloud account I been reached the maximum limit of account could somebody help this matter pls

You need to use an Apple device to make an iCloud account - iOS device or Apple computer.  Once you make it though, you could delete it from that device and login to that new account on your other device.  The account is tied to the AppleID used when you create it, not to any particular device.
The limit on new accounts on devices is to keep people from endlessly making iCloud accounts (since that is often done by people looking for many free accounts to use for sending SPAM mail and all sorts of other undesirable uses of Apple's free service)

  • Is there another way to get a free iCloud account with an iTunes account

We are an educational institution and we have a 1-to-1 program with our 7th and 8th graders. This was started last year but recently we started to run into issues where the devices (that are recycled at the end of the year to go to the incomming 7th graders) will not allow us to create iTunes and iCloud accounts. I've discovered that I can create an iTunes account for free via appleid.apple.com but it does not create an iCloud account.
This is far from ideal for us as we need all of our students to have iCloud accounts as well and we do not have the money to keep buying new devices just so that we can have iCloud accounts for each student.
Does anyone know of a way to create free iCloud accounts? There must be a way and there must be other school districts with this problem that have solved this issue. This could taint our entire 1-to-1 program if not resolved. iCloud backups are how we handle replacements when the students break the device accidentally.
    Thanks in advance.

I don't know if it's possible, but you might want to ask this question over in the iPad in Business and Education forum: https://discussions.apple.com/community/ipad/ipad_in_business_and_education?view =discussions.  They may know the answer.

  • HT4759 I just bought an ipad and it says that it is out of free icloud accounts?

How can i create an icloud account? Ipad is out of free accounts?

You won't be able to create a new account on that iPad as the previous owner(s) have already created the maximum number possible.  (You also can't delete an existing account in order to create a new one.)
Your only options are to either reuse one of the accounts previously created, or create a new account on another iOS device (running iOS 5 or higher) or Mac (running OS X Lion or higher), if you have one.  (Or use a friend's device to create the account.)

  • This device is no longer eligible for creating a free icloud account

After using it for a while an iPad 2 that was given to me by my Boss, I restored this iPad and gave it to my daughter. She encountered the error above during her set-up while creating her own iCloud account to the iPad. What shall we do?

Import them to your computer as discussed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083, then either delete them from your phone or exclude the camera roll from your iCloud backup by going to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your phone under Backups, then turn Camera Roll to Off under Backup Options.
Also check Settings>General>Usage to see how much availble space is on your phone.  If you have to delete apps in order to take photos, you may be out of space on your phone.  If so, you need to delete something in order to create more space.
