Messed up my adobe flash shortcut (dock)
I messed up my shortcut on my dock. I accidently deleted it and when i tried to replace it i did it the wrong way and made a mess of things. duplicates, extra icons in places i didnt want, ect. Now that i got it in my dock it wont open. I'm missing the " AuthPlay DLL/Lib" from the configuration folder. I emptied my trash and probally deleted something important. Is there a way to fix this or do I have to uninstall/reinstall? I don't have access to my disc right now and can't reinstall off my original disc. Can i do that from the website?

Adobe Flash Script Error in Safari
I recently installed (like an idiot) a Font program used to load some fonts in Adobe Photoshop. Not only did it not work at all, my computer has been going bonkers when streaming video now.
I'm no computer wiz, but I'm smart enough to know that whatever application I downloaded had also snuck in some annoying additional things.
First off, I keep getting these "Save Keep" ad's that pop up over videos that counts down from 10 before I can watch a video.
Furthermore, an error message pops up every minute or two saying "A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 9 to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script? Yes/No"
I deleted the application, reinstalled silverlight, and the problem still persists.
Before I go messing with uninstalling and reinstalling adobe flash player, I thought I might consult some experts.
I feel like my computer is loaded with vestigial junk at this point, and I'd like for it to go back to the way it was. Thank you.Klaus1:
You also asked if I had installed the latest update to iPlayer. I assume that you mean the Desktop iPlayer, but this is a whole different issue! When I first tried to download the movie using Desktop iPlayer I was presented with a button to install it. This surprised me as it was already installed, but maybe it was really just offering an update. As it wasn't optional, I clicked the button. It then tried to install AdobeAIR (which was already installed) and failed as it couldn't get permission to write to the disk.
I thought I'd make things simple and uninstalled AdobeAIR and Desktop iPlayer. I then tried to reinstall. Again it tried to install AdobeAIR and failed. So I tried downloading and installing AdobeAIR direct from Adobe. The installer loads into the dock but that's it. I've spent many hours trying to resolve this without success.
Hence I'm just trying to use the browser version of iPlayer.
I thought I'd get the Flash Player thing resolved first and then start another thread about AdobeAIR! I thought Adobe products were solid but I'm now seeing lot's of differing opinions on that. -

Firefox has suddenly gone wrong. I was successfully running both Firefox and Internet Explorer 8 on Windows 7. My laptop is new and has plenty of RAM and HDD. I auto-accept upgrades including the most recent Firefox upgrade and the suggested upgrade to Adobe Flash 10.1. But after this, Firefox stopped working and does not work when I re-load Firefox 3.6. Also IE8 now works very slowly and does not locate major websites like Microsoft without a 'can't find the website message' and having to pressing Return a second time. When I do get to the Mozilla website and click on the button to try to download Firefox 3.6.6, I get this message "Oops! Internet Explorer could not find mozilla3.snt.utwente.nl". Can you help with what has gone wrong? As it stands, I can't use Firefox at all. Note: because Firefox did not work after the upgrade, I've downloaded the IE8 version of the Adobe Flash 10.1. What I really want is to be able to use both Firefox and IE8. But is this possible if they use different versions of Adobe Flash?

After upgrading to Ffx 3.6.6, the program asks you to upgrade to Flash Player Plugin 10.1. I download and installed 10.1 only to find videos weren't loading.
In my case, the problem is the previous installation of Flash Player (9.0.47) was somehow messing things up. To fix this, because I already had Flash plugin 10.1 installed I had to uninstall 10.1 using the uninstaller from adobe and then manually remove any files related the old flash player plugin 9.0.47
Here is a run-down of my process:
0. To check if you have a previous installation of the Flash Plugin lurking around, in Firefox go to Tools -> Add-ons -> Plugins (tab). At this point you may seen both Flash plugins.
1. Proceed to uninstall Flash Plugin 10.1. Adobe provides an uninstaller here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
( you have to make sure you have nothing running when you execute the installer).
2. On my Mac (sorry I don't know what it is in Windows) I searched the hard drive for any files/folders with "Shockwave". I found a folder called "Shockwave 10". It wasn't removed by Adobe's uninstaller. For safety I deleted it and then emptied the trash.
3. I then went to My HD -> Library -> Internet Plugins.
Remove the file and folder named "Flash player.old"
4. Restarted; ran the Adobe Flash Player 10.1 installer. Restarted again.
5. Opened up ffx and double checked the plugins list (see step 1). Version 10.1 is installed and available. Went to problem sites to test it out and Success!

My problem is that everything that uses flash player, does not work at the moment and says that I need the latest version. (I cannot see a video on you tube for example.)
I downloaded AFP 10.1 several times (install-uninstall-reboot several times), I even checked the "Add-remove programms" and the "Adobe Flash Player 10 Active X" is there, but when I get to see a youtube video it says again to get the latest version. Each install was successful, but it still doesn't work.

Adobe flash player crashing my whole computer could anyone please help?
Is this just a win vista problem or something?

This is my problem:
The newest flash player crashes everytime I open certain web pages like failblog or tinychat which requires a webcam
I'm not sure what is causing it but it's only when i'm on those webpages that it crashes...
I can go on youtube kongregate steam and I can play tons of games the only thing I cant do is go on certain websites that messes with the newest version of flash for some reason...
I can use ANY other version of adobe flash and it won't crash at all but the problem with using the older versions is that I can't use my webcam on certain sites.
Will there be another update release for adobe flash that will fix this problem? The previous version was fine I don't know what was changed but will it get fixed?
And yes I have also been into the error logs but it doesn't show anything and the codes that it does show, people don't know what the hell it means lol just a bunch of binary number like data...I could post that but I doubt it would be of any help it's just a few short lines of numbers on each crash...I have purposely crashed my computer about 2 times to check if error logs popup and to see what is crashing the flash player but nothing changes in the crash log..
So to sum my problems up into a short paragraph....newest flash player crashes my computer when I go on webcam/webchat/certain websites with flash videos on it, also if I right click and try to tamper with the settings it also crashes my computer...I would like to know if there's a possible fix for this or will there be another update released anytime soon?

In the event viewer all it says is that there was an unexpected shut down.
I have checked and updated everything on both computers I tried to disable hardware acceleration and that still didn't change anything.
Sometimes when I try to just right click on a flash player and change the settings it crashes, if I try to load certain pages it crashes, if I try to use a webcam chat on a webcam site it crashes. Though I can still view other people's webcams in chat ex: tinychat I could be in there chatting away with some friends from across country and nothing will happen until I click webcam and flash player asks to allow, it will crash if I try to right click anywhere and that little flash settings popup it crashes.
All of this happens when I use the most current version of flash player any other previous version will not crash when doing any of this although I can't use my webcam since the website is running an updated version which is why I would like to get this problem fixed.
The new firefox update didn't help at all it still just freezes. There is no blue screen, no crash error report, no event log. The event viewer just says it was shut down unexpectedly.
I also tried uninstalling all webcam applications unplugging my webcam and that didn't affect it at all. I've done everything that people have been doing on here to solve there problems, I used the search button and tried options from various threads but none work for me.
I can do everything normally that requires flash player like play games, watch videos, and other stuff but it just crashes when I do those certain things as stated above. It's weird that there is no log, no anything just a freeze and I can't do anything to the computer i've tried letting it sit for about 15 minutes but it didn't respond. I used ctrl alt del after a while, alt tab, alt f4, holding down certain keys, holding the power button in for a while and nothing will happen. It just sits frozen untill I unplug it.
Is there anything I can do to get an error log of the crash since event viewer isn't working? -
After updating my system to Mountain Lion 10.8.2 I can no longer view videos on Facebook or other sites. The only one I can view videos on is youtube. I have downloaded Adobe Flash player and still no luck. I cannot even open Preview on my computer anymore. Any ideas would be helpful thanks
Merely clicking the Preview icon in the Dock doesn't cause it to open anything, unless you had one or more windows open the last time it quit.
If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test.
1. If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, triple-click the line below to select it:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu. A folder should open. I have administrative prviledges.
I obtained the latest version from the Adobe website.
When I double click on the .dmg file I receive a message that I need to close open browsers which I do.
Then I get a message stating that Adobe will be installed when I reopen browers.
Finally when I check the Applications folder I find a file titled: Install Adobe Flash Player.
This same application is shown in the dock.
When I click in the file in either the Applications folder or the dock, the complete installation process starts again.
Any suggestions? -

You should not be downloading Adobe Flash Player from anywhere but Adobe's official download site.
Once you download it, it will go into your logindir/Downloads folder. Quit all browsers, and System Preferences (if it is open). Next to your Trash icon in the Dock is an alias to your Downloads folder. Click once, and the bottom item will be the just downloaded Flash Player installer. Single-click this installer. The Adobe Flash Player Installer will mount to your Desktop and open a window. Double-click on Install Adobe Flash Player. When done, right-click on the mounted Adobe Flash Player Installer Desktop icon and select Eject...
In the future, use the Flash Player preference from System Preferences to update itself. Once the installer mounts on the Desktop, close System Preferences, or Flash preference panel will not get updated correctly. -
How do I Install Adobe Flash Successfully?
I have Vista and Firefox. I've downloaded v. 11.4 several times and each one is a bad installation. Same thing with the plug-in. I have to keep it uninstalled or else I can't upload work files. But I constantly get prompted to install the damn thing until finally the sw says, nope you're not doing another thing until you download me. I get messages like host debugger, as if I know what to do. I get messages like Flash Player has stopped working, and this happens right after it has been installed. It's a vicious circle. I have Flash Player installed, not the content debugger. But I get popups asking about content debugger and the host (these are options, you're supposed to select), but the popup is non-responsive and is hard to get rid of. I have to recreate the debugger popup. Which means I'll have to install Flash which messes with my online tasks. I'll have to wait until the end of the week to do this, it takes up so much of my time. I've taken a ss of your last post for safe mode. I'll check in when I can get these issues researched. There is a procedure of Manual Installation of Adobe Flash Player on Ubuntu, follow these steps :
Open http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
Choose Linux 32-bit on Step 1
Choose Flash Player 11.2 (tar.gz) on Step 2, download the file
Once download is complete, right click on the flie (tar.gz) and click on "Extract here"
Launch Terminal (Keyboard Shortcut : Ctrl+Alt+T)
Go to that location where you extracted the file
Run this command : sudo mv libflashplayer.so \/usr/lib/firefox-addons/plugins
Launch Mozilla Firefox and check do you have Adobe Flash Player

Adobe Flash Player not working with IE 11 Active X
After successful installation of Adobe Flash Player 11 Active X, there is no shortcut to it but the program is found in the Control Panel (under uninstall).
Tried re-installation and all help on internet forum and Youtube, the videos at yahoo.com.sg still prompts to download latest flash player. Why?This is a known problem with Internet Explorer 11, which Microsoft has been aware of since October 18 when they released their latest "untested" browser. The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.

Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in. -
In Adobe Flash CS6, I have a blue box appearing around lines drawn with the line tool (and other tools like brush etc). Whenever I try to use a tool, a blue box appears around the line and I have to double click it to manipulate it, which opens just that line in a semi burred screen where all the other objects are semi-grey in the background. I can manipulate this line in this screen but nothing else at that time which I could do about 5 minutes ago. For exampe, I no longer can join up 2 lines drawn by the line tool together. For some reason this started randomly (probably due to a accidental shortcut combination) and I just can't put it back to what it used to be. I have inserted a video hopefully showing what I mean. Any help would be appreciated.

How to fix conflicting version of adobe flash player 4.6 on CS6 installation?
I am basically just wondering how I go about fixing this issue. I am installing the trial of CS6, on top of CS5.5. When I start the installation of CS6 I get an error for Adobe Flash Player 4.6 saying it is conflicting with a previous version. How do I fix this issue? I have seen references to a CS Tool Cleaner, but I do not want to mess up my previous software versions.
Anyone? Can someone please help me. It seems the only way to get this to work is to delete and fully uninstall and clean out my computer of all previous adobe softwares. This is incredibly stupid and such a hassle, but if this is the case maybe someone could chime in and help me in doing so? That would be much appreciated. How do I go about backing up my actions and brushes and workspaces, and plugins, on my CS4 an CS5.5 before I uninstall them all?
