Messed up videos- AGAIN!

All I want to do this watch videos with sound. I downloaded the updates, unfortunately. When I came to this forum and one of the topics said restore your ipod and reinstall the original software. I did that.
Nothing Changed.
Every time I watch a video it plays then freezes and then continues without sound. It is annoying and someone needs to do something about it. Something that DOESNT need me to pay any extra money.
On another note,This doesnt happen with my music videos only with movies. I tried putting a movie under music videos but It still did the same thing. My guess is that it only freezes with videos over a certain lenghth or something. Any extra help will ge greatly appreciated.

SOLVED: Openbox Problem: Messed Up Video

In my new Arch install, I'm using OpenBox for the WM/DE. It looked fine before, but today when I booted and right-clicked for the menu, it was a mess. You can view the mess by clicking on this link: http://www.drlanelester.com/menuprob.jpg
After I log on to the terminal, I'm starting X with this command: xinit /usr/bin/openbox-session
As I understand it, if I use startx to start X, it will read the commands in .xinitrc. I would like that in order to start some other things. This is the .xinitrc I have:

exec /opt/StartStopConky.sh

your call to your WM should be the last call in .xinitrc. Start all the apps you want first and then at the end call your WM.
Thanks, that got X started, but messed up video similar to that shown in the top link in this thread.
I am now going to start a new thread in the Installation forum. I just made a fresh install in a separate partition and cannot get X to start.

Ipod update messed up video

i just updated my ipod to 1.1
before the update..my videos were running fine, i could watch a full length video without running into any problems.
after the update..the ipod plays the video for about 30 sec then pauses and then resumes. Not only does it pause but it does not have any audio after..only video.

Hello, the same thing it happened to me when I upgrade my firmware. you can download a software called ipodwizard and follow the tutorial on the link below... it will help you to downgrade firmware. it worked for me...someone in ipodwizard forum told that apple release that update before it was done...so they messed up with us... I've heard of more issues (backlight problems), anyway..try this if you want to:

Disk mode messed up videos?

i have a 30 gig black ipod and i have had it like a month and i converted my videos in the right format and iv watched them blah blah i know they work. This weekend i was on my dads labtop and i was messing around with his itunes (which is blank) and i was trying to figure out how to copy my files from my ipod to his itunes. but any i hit the enable disk mode or watvever that message about disconnecting of watever came up but i didnt think much of it anyway i tried watching a movie later but i went to movies and all my song files where there. the video ones where there too but the only played as audio. so today i copied my dads blank library and then hooked it back up to my computer here and it only copies my music files to my ipod not my video can someone help because i dont know what is wrong.

Magic mouse messing with video playback

Hi,
I have a really REALLY annoying problem which i can't remember ever happening until a few days ago.
If i'm watching any sort of video on youtube for example, as soon as i use the magic mouse 1 finger up/down swipe gesture to scroll the page up or down it starts interfering with the video playback, as if its trying to scroll the video. the video trys to scroll forwards/back then just stops/crashes.
Any ideas as this didn't happen before.

I have adobe premiere element 9. I have never been able to upload a clear video to youtube, always a pixel mess. the video is great before, crap once downloaded. I never found anyone to help me...Thanks in advance

Hello, I have adobe premiere element 9. I have never been able to upload a clear video to youtube. Great before, a pixel mess once uploaded. I have try all the different set up, some are a bit better but far from being nice to watch. I have a gopro, movie are taken in HD and a fairly new panasanic video, also HD. If I upload straight from the gopro movie (not using adobe) the video is great on youtube. I try to save the finished video (from adobe) on my computer, then upload it (not using adobe) still a pixel mess. I am not an expert but I have seen some nice and clear video on youtube and I would love to be able to do the same. I recently downloaded "handbrake" and make my finished video through it...still a pixel mess. I am not sure what to do, something maybe with my set up, the rendering....I have no idea.....
Any help will be very appreciated

What is the file size and duration of this upload to YouTube from within the Premiere Elements project?
If you export the Timeline to a file saved to the computer hard drive and then upload that file to YouTube at the YouTube web site, what are
all the Premiere Elements export settings for the saving of the file for uploading later to YouTube?
That is a lot to be asking. But the answers will be in the details.
Please review and consider and then we will decide what next to solve this issue.

New 160 GB iPod messes up videos!

OK. I recently had to buy a new computer because my old one was well...old. I updated from Compaq to HP which means I went from Windows XP to Windows 7. I still have a 30 GB iPod which plays my videos wonderfully. No problems at all. Then I bought a 160 GB and my videos transferred to the newest iTunes available and my videos played but they had glitches where there were no glitches before. Like as if bad weather hit the video but there was no bad weather, you know? It plays perfectly in my old iPod but not in my new and improved? iPod. This really is making me mad because it works perfectly in my old one and in my new one it doesn't! The quality of the picture in the new one is great but there's the glitches that happens in a lot of videos and plus some are slow in places where they're not in the other one. These aren't Apple-related videos they are ripped off of YouTube but they played like a dream in the old one and are MPEG4 videos which are supported by iPods. If this can't be fixed I'm thinking of just buying another 30GB but I don't know if Windows 7 and the newest version of iTunes supports it! I have more gigs of video on my iPod than music so I'm obviously just looking for the video quality here! Please help!

Have same problem which should not be a big deal. I have a 80g and recently upgraded to a 160g. How do I transfer content from the 80 to the 160? Am surprised this matter is not addresses in basic operational info. Would think Apple wants to this to happen and would facilitate the upgrading. I need to buy a 3rd party application?

AME Messes up videos audio in conversion

Hi, I'm using Adobe Media Encoder CS6 and Ive been having a problem. Usually when I use it It's to convert around 20 videos from usually AVI to MP4 so that I can use them with iTunes and Quicktime. My problem is that the audio in the output file will be delayed and dowsnt sync up with the video. Any ideas?

Suddenly Can't Play You Tube Videos - Again

You Tube was working just fine, and then it wasn't. I'm using Lion 10.7.2, Safari 5.1.2 and it all works find on my 11" MacBook Air. But YouTube won't play on my 24" iMac Intel Core2 Duo. I recently downloaded MPeg Streamclip and downloaded a bunch of YouTube videos and it was fine. But not anymore. Any suggestions?

This happens every once in awhile. Just give it some time and it usually fixes itself. If it still doesn't work, try deleting the cookies in your web browser. Post back if it is working or not please.

Quicktime player messing up video visual

Used to be able to view any video file from my digital camera in Windows Media Player, then downloaded Quicktime and all my existing video files converted to say Quicktime Movie under file type. Now cannot play any of them properly in WMP, just get audio with wavy pink & green screen, and same happens even with the latest Quicktime. Any ideas how to solve? Please tell me I haven't lost all those precious videos forever!

QuickTime Control Panel / Advanced tab.
Check the box for "Safe mode".
Quit and relaunch QuickTime.

Messed up iphone again.

I recently had my iphone replaced and got a new one. I had problems with it right away but I just restored it, but now I'm having problems again. Once the screen goes off I cant turn it on unless I get a phone call or plug it in. Any tips on what to do, besides the restore thing? If apple replaces it will I get another 1st gen iphone or will I have to pay the upgrade price to get a 3g?

If a Restore does not resolve it, I suggest calling AppleCare (800) 694-7466, or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

Iam a firefox user but suddenly my computer crashed watching youtube I loaded everything back up when I go to watch yt videos again it restarts my computer everything else works So i reinstalled firefox tried viewing videos but my computer keeps crashing

yeah dude ! same happened with me before but now it's been solved out with upgrading to latest version of Flash player so you have to make sure that you using latest version as well :(

Ipod Messing Up Videos and Album Artwork

My ipod is switching my album artwork with other songs and even videos and when I plug it into my computer it shows the correct artwork.
With one of my videos in the middle of it the movie stops and plays the sounds of the begining for a few minutes, then it continues the movie.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been using the pop out way of downloading youtube videos and now it doesn't seem to work anymore. Has there been a change and can anyone tell me the new way to download?

hello tjh1211, yes firefox 21 now makes use of the codecs that are included in your OS that enable it to directly play mp3 files. in order to disable that, enter '''about:config''' into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named '''media.windows-media-foundation.enabled'''. double-click it and change its value to '''false'''.
