Messeges won't load on Macbook Air

I will open messeges and it will sit there and give me the spinning color weel. This is also happining with my freind who also has a macbook air. If any one knows how to fix this please help!

Hi,
If you have no accounts set up in Messages so far make sure it is allowed through the Mac Firewall.
System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Firewall.
If ON go to the Firewall Options button (you may need to Unlock first)
Check it is allowing signed Software and that IMAgent and Messages are in the list.
Also check system Preferences > Network > Advanced Button > DNS tab lists a Public DNS server.
Check System Preferences > Date and Time
In the Date And Time tab set the Automatic Time server
You will probably need to check it is set to the "right" Time Zone as well.
Check your router is set to the same Time Zone and Date & Time as it effects the data packets that are time stamped.

I am on a wifi Network. Girlfirend's Macbook got no problem with Facebook on the same network (she got snow leopard installed)
Facebook WILL load when i connect my computer directly to the the modem, bypassing the router.
Facebook will load when i use Windows 7 on VMWARE.
What i already tried:
1- Reset the router
2- cleaning caches on all the browsers i'm using (Chrome, Firefox, Safari)
Never had that problem with 10.7
Mystery, don't know what i should do except reinstalling Mountain lion...

Edge Inspect desktop has no UI and only Inspect icon will be visible in the menu bar. Also, you need to be logged in with Adobe ID in the app.

Audiobox usb interface won't mount on MacBook Air

PreSonus AudioBox USB (2in/4out) when attached to either USB on mid 2013 MacBook Air 11, won't show up in garage band, garage band preferences, apple audio system preferences, apple midi system preferences or even in the 'about this mac' system report. The device is totally unrecognized and supposed to be totally compliant plug and play. I'm runnin OS 10.9.1 with all updates. The AudioBox interface shows red power light and a light on the 48V phantom power button. All cables are good, Microphone functions and MacBook air is connected to a power supply. (Macbook, condenser microphone, AudioBox and all cables are new.) Any experience with this out there?

The best idea is to drop that noisy and hissy squawk box and get a ZOOM H6 which has USB interface with MORE options, LESS noise, and far easier to use
phantom power from the H6 is from 4 AA batts, and not via USB. (have and use same myself) with these Mics:

Nothing loads on Macbook air since updating new software?

Hi everyone
Sorry if this has already come up but there is heaps of stuff on here and not sure where to start.. Just briefly, since I have update my Macbook Air with new software (yesterday) my mail won't load and just crashes, I can't even open imessages and most websites just crash after loading a little bit - they are the most common ones i use. Maps won't work either for example. I wouldn't mind but it was working fine all day yesterday.
I am wondering if I have done something??
Any help would be appreciated!

I find the iphone 5s photographs and videos very difficult to copy into my PC after upgrade to ios 7.1.2. Previously I was able to open it in my computer (Windows 8.1 loaded on macbook air 13" July 2013) model, within iphone ikon - DCIM. Why not now

Is your phone unlocked when your importing the pictures.
This sound more like a window 8 issue.

Photoshop CC not loading on MacBook Air with Mac OS 10.9 (Mavericks)

Photoshop CC is not loading at all after updating my 2013 MacBook Air with Mac OS 10.9. The error message (in German as I am using the German version) says "Konnte Photoshop nicht initialisieren da ein Programmfehler aufgetreten ist" ("couldn't initialize photoshop since a program error occurred") . Application launcher is updated to the latest version and deinstalling and re-installing photoshop CC didn't change anything. What can I do?

IPhone 4 address book won't sync with MacBook Air

I've been Googlin' my butt off, and called support three times (in which they won't help me because they say it's an iPhone issue)... Anyway, just purchased a MacBook Air; and my iPhone contacts will not sync with the address book.

So I kept looking for another answer and found this answer in another thread:
"It is called "sync" for the reason it not called a transfer. It wants and is designed to "sync" make each other match. If it deleted all on the phone it is because you just had zero contacts in the address book on the computer (which on first sync is considered master copy). If you put one dummy contact into address book on computer then try to sync it will see it needs to "merge" to get the sync process coordinated."
I tried it out and it worked. I originally already had one contact in my address book, but it was me and apparently I don't count as a human being, so I added the dummy contact and it worked after I clicked 'Merge'. Hope it works for you too.

Youtube won't load on macbook

I have a MacBook, Mac OS X 10.5.2, and youtube won't load on my computer. I never used to have this problem but in the last two weeks or so it just stopped loading. In other words, the pictures don't show up on the webpage. The videos themselves work but I can't view the pictures that are next to the title of the video.
Does anyone know how to solve this?

I'm only guessing but here are a few suggestions that might help:
1) Empty the Safari Cache. Safari menu > Empty Cache
2) Clear out any YouTube cookies. Safari > Preferences > Security > Show Cookies.....
3) In YouTube, ctrl-click on a running movie, choose Settings.. and increase the amount of local storage used.
4) Use a tool like Onyx or Leopard Cache Cleaner to clear out ALL system and user cache files.

App won't run on MacBook Air

Hi, I am trying to run an App on my Itunes (MacBook Air, latest model) but although the App has downloaded, i can't get it to run. It is a childrens' App which, when running, allows me to download the individual videos/songs (Gigglebellies). As my Ipad won't connect to the wifi for some unknown reason, I want to download them into my computer and then sync them.
Any ideas on how to get the App to run on my Macbook Air?

You can't run iPad/iPhone apps on any Mac - it's a completely different operating system and you have to use applications designed for it. There is no equivalent app in the App Store which is available in your Applications folder, which is one way of obtaining Mac applications.

Proxy settings won't save on Macbook Air (Moutain Lion 10.8.5)

Hi -- would love some help. I've been trying to configure proxies on my Macbook Air (Web Proxy and Secure Web Proxy) in order to connect to a specific network, but every time I make any changes in the proxy pane, and click OK, the changes are lost when I come back to it. I have been unable to connect to any networks that require a proxy. Would love some help! I'm quite puzzled. Anyone having the same problem?

Wifi won't turn on macbook air

ok.. somethins really messed up.. it's a 2012 model but when after i've tried installing a new SSD card, it won't let me turn wifi on (boot from external Hard drive) also, SSD isn't showing up...

It sounds like you opened up your MacBook Air and tried to install a new solid state drive in the machine. Is that right? if so, you have voided your warranty, as the MacBook Air is not supposed to be opened by customers.

Just to be sure we're on the same page.. You connect the iphone via USB cable to your mac's USB port, then invoke itunes on the mac. In the left panel of itunes, under the "Devices" section, does the iphone not show up after a short while?
What OSX version is on the mac? What version of itunes (should be 11.1 in order to communicate with iOS 7)?

IPhone 4 won't tether to Macbook Air 11"

I've been all over the web trying to find a solution to this problem. Hopefully someone clever can help!
I have an iPhone 4 and want to use it as a modem with my Macbook Air 11". I have also subscribed to an iPhone data bolt-on plan with Vodafone UK (£15 per month for 3GB of data).
When I attempt to connect the Macbook Air using Bluetooth to the iPhone the Bluetooth pairing on the Macbook Air appears to complete after you enter the codes on both devices, but whilst the Macbook Air appears in the iPhone Bluetooth menu, it isn't paired and says that the Macbook Air 'isn't supported'.
Please help!

IPhone 4 Bluetooth won't connect to MacBook Air 11"

As the title says, I have tried pairing my MacBook Air 11" to my iPhone 4. The MacBook sees the iPhone right away, produces a passcode, but that's where it ends.
The iPhone's Bluetooth is ON, as it connects to my car every day.
After doing searches here for a definitive answer to this problem, I can't seem to find one.
Any suggestions why my iPhone 4 can't connect via Bluetooth to my MBA?

Load balance MACbook Air

We have two 5508 and 1130 and 1140 AP's with agressive load balancing enabled and it works well with our laptop PC's with CCX supported WiFi cards. Now we have included 200 MACbook Air and WCS show them as not CCX supported and they dont load balance. Sometime we have 30 Macbook on one AP. Anyone got a solution? Without installing double AP's everywhere.
