Messenger en mac

Hi, I have a macbook unibody, But I still need used some windows aplicacion, like microsoft money and microsoft messenger, I really dont like messenger for mac, because I Need used the web cam.
Now I have installed paralle desktop on my mac, but I cantn used the macbook web can.
Will I need buy a new web cam?
or Will I need install some driver?

i just wanna know how to run a mac version of yahoo messenger. im a new user of mac thats why i dont know how to run ym using mac. i already downloaded mac version of yahoo and i can sign in as my yahoo id, but the problem is i cannot make a call, play a games, share a photo and even my cam cannot be viewed and i also cant view the cam of my chatmate. there are many features of yahoo messenger in windows version that mac version doesnt have. i also cannot connect to a chat room. do i really need to install a parallel desktop for me to run the yahoo messenger smoothly.

I just tested Messenger for Mac, which I just downloaded because of your question. I had no problem getting my recently bought Macbook laptop with Leopard to engage and send a webcam picture to a Yahoo messenger account using Windows XP yahoo messenger on the other account's computer. I did not test all the features, just typing an IM and sending a webcam picture from my built in laptop webcam on this Macbook over to a computer with Windows XP. All I had to do after installing and logging in was go to WEBCAM / Start Broadcast etc. It worked fine.
I used the Mac Leopard OS on the Macbook and do not yet have windows added to my macbook but am thinking about how to get it because of the need to occasionally use Internet Explorer on certain websites.

Messenger on mac problems

Just want to know how i go about adding a display pic onto my messenger account. I can log in and out no problem but for some reason cannot open any pic to use as my display pic. Unable to quit Messenger for Mac

Hey there,
I hope this is the right forum for this question.
I am running Mac OS X 10.6.3 but I'm pretty new to Mac's so even basic stuff seems difficult to me apparently - like software-updating. To install the software-upgrades I need to restart the computer, but when I try that it tells me that that is impossible because MSN Messenger for Mac is running. Now the problem is, that I can't shut down that program. I've tried closing it - doesn't work, just freezes. I've tried uninstalling it by dragging it to the Trash-bin which doesn't work because MSN is open. Most recent I've tried AppZapper to uninstall it, with same results as every other try.
I'm running Messenger for Mac version 8 Beta.
Is there a way for me to uninstall it that I haven't thought of? Or any other way to deal with this problem?

Hi,
That error message means that you are trying to download the file to a folder that you don't have access to write files to. Try changing the default Downloads location (via Safari Preferences) to your Desktop and retry the download.

Leopard 10.5.5 - Download Messenger for Mac

Hi everybody,
I have got the last mac's version, I tried to install Messenger for mac, mercury messenger, and amsn, and none works ! all refuse to login in.
What can I do?
Is it a problem with all 10.5.5 mac?? Because skype works well, so I don't understand why msn doesn't work...

What are your Firewall settings? (System Preferences -> Security -> Firewall)
If the firewall is set to Allow Essential Services, you will need to change the settings to _Set access for specific services and applications_ and then add those applications to allow incoming connections.

This message may not belong in this forum...but I have been trying to download Messenger for Mac from the Apple website for months and it always sends me to an error page. Has anyone successfully downloaded this?

Problems with updating MSN Messenger for Mac

Install the MSN Messenger for Mac from Application. When I signed in, a message pop up asking me to get a new updated version or else I could not continue to use the MSN Messenger. During downloading, another message pop up saying that the Messenger.bin is neither compressed .... and I could not go any further,and as such could not use MSN Messenger. What's the problem here?
