Messenger Invite keeps returning even after delete

Hi,
Problem regarding BBM.
A friend of mine added me as a contact and we chatted with no problem. He added me using my email address.
A few hours later I got an "invite request" from him again, even through he was already my contact so I accepted it again not thinking anything of it. It stayed as pending. All this time I was able to chat to him no problem.
Then a few hours after that it came through again. And again. He confirmed that he was not "re-inviting" me each time.  We both deleted eachother as contacts. But still I get this invite request.
It is highly annoying. Ignoring (and checking the ignore all future invites does not help as the BBM notifier remains visible with 1 new notification which won't go away).
We are not contacts anymore so why is the invite request periodcally returning???
It's as if the invite message is caught in a queue somewhere and my accepting it does not work....perhaps due to an ecryption issue?
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Info:
I am using a Bold 9700 with BBM v5.0.0.57. I have 1 email address set up using BIS on O2 (UK) service provider.
I do not know what phone my mate uses but he most probably goes through his company's BES.

I upgraded to 8.3 and that's when all of my troubles began...my phone is now constantly stating the memory is full...I've deleted ALL apps other than the standard apps that apple forces you to have...I've deleted ALL pics and videos...I can't use my camera...I can't send or receive text msgs or emails...every time I even attempt to open my email it crashes...I've hard re-booted at least 50 times and it still says i have no storage and I basically can't do anything with this $600 pos!!!! I'm so heated right now i want to throw this phone as far as I can across the room! And oh yeah...the wait at the Apple store is 2 hours...guess i don't have the only POS in town!
Does anyone have any suggestions please!!!!!!!!

  • IPhoto Keeps Quitting Even after Deleting Plist Files Repairing perm Files

When I try to launch iPhoto The page seems to begin to load then I get a box saying " The application iPhoto has unexpectedly quit". I tried to troubleshoot by deleting the iPhoto plist files and then I repaired the permission files. There is still no change.
What else can I do? Thanks very much for your help!

Glad to help, but I think you worked the magic Sally. Deleting photos from the Desktop is harmless to iPhoto, and doing the same again should not be a problem. Maybe it was the overfull disk that initially caused iPhoto to think, 'I don't have enough space here to open, so I'll crash.'
It works like this. If you connected a camera and imported them into iPhoto, then that is the only place those photos reside and to delete any of them afterwards would have to be done in iPhoto where you would select a photo, then Move to Trash. This would keep the index straight.
But if you had some photos on your desktop and imported them into iPhoto, it makes a copy of them inside the iPhoto Library. If you were to delete one of those photos from the Desktop, it would still show in iPhoto because its copy still exists in the iPhoto Library.
So when you reported the problem arose after your deleted some photos, it made me think along the lines I did. But as you didn't muck about with the iPhoto Library folder's contents, you could not have damaged it. So you haven't done anything to wreck things. Maybe iPhoto was just choking from a lack of space.
It's great your photos are still all there. Now, with that copy of your iPhoto Library - put it on a CD for safe keeping. Games, software, info from websites, even songs can mostly be replaced if need be, but one's photos are unique and deserved to be backed up, to either another hard drive or burnt to an optical disk.
A tip: I suggest you create a new folder in your Pictures folder called say, ExtraShots (name it what you like) and put your photos there instead of the desktop. Doing so is not crucial, just tidy, and there is a slight advantage that your computer will run quicker if the Desktop is uncluttered.
Not a tip: Do keep your hard drive down to less than about 90% full / at least 10% "available free space" as Macs like room.
All the best, and I hope you take some great photos.

  • Emails keep downloading, even after deleting

    Help please.
I install new IO7 on my Iphone 5 and it has downloaded around 15k of my work emails taking up massive 6GB space. Is anyway possible I can change setting to keep latest 50/100 emails only.
I can not delete my work emails from server. The server is provided by GoDaddy.
I have tried twice to delete older emails but it immediately download again. It is frustrating and seems I have to change phone if it is not resolved soon.
I wonder what apple was thinking about business people when designing this new IO7 ?

My machine has just developed this problem too.
The answer that's usually given is to remove the "MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded3" files in /User/Library/Mail/V2/MailData but this only seemed to work temporarily - the problem recurred and every few hours, hundreds of emails (deleted from the web server, deleted from my machine) re-appear in the in-box.
It's a webmail POP account (eircom.net) and the behaviour started right after Mail asked for the password again - was this some kind of hacking going on? Why would Mail suddenly require the password after years of not asking?

  • USERS tablespace keeps expanding even after deletions.

I am using version 9.0.4.0.0 of CMSDK with a 10.1.0.3.0 database.
Whenever I store files on the tablespace and remove them afterwards the tablespace does not seem to be cleaned.
I have checked the logs for activiations of the agents (which I set at 10 minute intervals atm), and they seem to be running like they should, but the tablespace remains just as large is it was before.
(I can see returning entries for the ContentGarbageCollectionAgent, FolderIndexAgent, DanglingObjectAVCleanupAgent and ContentAgent)
How do I reclaim the free space? For space considerations I would need to know the exact numbers when I look at the "Used MB´s"; and it will be kind of hard to figure this out if the tablespace keeps expanding.
Reorganising does not work on the Advanced Queue parts using our current software versions.
If I am asking for a bridge too far, is there any other product I could use to create a database which functions as a fileserver, operating with SMB/HTTP/WEBDAV and FTP support?
Thanks a LOT in advance for any info!

That is an internet explorer issue (see the MSIE 6.0 part). Microsoft labels their User Agent Mozilla/ x for website compatibility, for it isn't related to Firefox at all. You can see a list of all the Internet Explorer user Agent strings [http://www.useragentstring.com/pages/Internet%20Explorer/ http://www.useragentstring.com/pages/Internet%20Explorer/]. Unfortunately, there isn't much I can do to help you, but you can try to reset Internet Explorer, [http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737].

If you have a backup, you can restore the e-mails. Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Library/Mail/V2.

  • SMS Inbox full, even after deleted tons of messages.

It says my SMS inbox is full even after I deleted TONS of conversations. What should I do!? I already did reset all settings.
    Help please! =(

for some reason it has to do with the iOS5 update that was released yesterday that I upgraded my 3gs phone on before buying a 4s today.  i've been frustrated with it but just figured it out or at least got mine to work.
i had spent a good bit of today deleting messages thinking that would do it.  i spoke to AT&T (clueless) where I got my new 4s phone today and did some research here on apple's website and was put on hold by an apple rep for an hour today.  from googling i found that your phone supposedly holds 75,000 messages but it must be less than that or have a different way of calculating it than you might think.  here's why.
you have more messages than you think.  a lot of my conversations went back to 2008.  there was one person in particular that i had exchanged a good number of messages with but i wanted to keep those so after deleting messages all day and getting nowhere i decided to figure out how to export SMS messages that i wanted to save.  there is an app called SMS Export and that did the trick.  I ran it and was suprised to see that after all of my deleting today i still had 61,000 messages.  so i exported this one person I had exchanged 20,000 messages with and deleted her messages from my phone leaving me with 41,000.  i restarted my phone and when it booted back up the new texts starting flowing through, 17 in all missed today.
    back in business!

        Hi Hallry,
Let's free your device! It's important to have a properly working device. Have you attempted an alternate Hard Reset on the device http://vz.to/19r2DOO? If the alternate Hard Reset does not work, then the device would need to be replaced. How long have you had this device? Any liquid or physical damage to the device? Keep me posted

For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
    That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now.  They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.
    Thanks for listening,
    Melissa

  • Why is the number of earlier visits so high in the security tab of the certificate information window when visiting a https protected site(in my case 13.400) even after deleting cookies?

When you go to www.gmail.com and I rightclick on the gray coloured "google.com" showed left next to the address bar then it shows you the certification details. Whe you click on "more info" and then go to the security section it show you how many times you visted the site before. In my case it say`s none, but thats not the case with my friend, his nuber of earlier visits says 13.400 even after deleting cookies/history.
Can someone tell me what this means, and if maybe someone other than himself is watching his email because he`s a bit worried now.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

    No.
You got 2 more basic troubleshooting steps left before you make an appointment with the Apple genius bar for an evaluation:

  • How to delete a junk mail that keeps coming back after deleting it from the junk box?

I have a junk mail from February that I really want to delete but it keeps coming back after deleting it several times. It comes back in the junk mail as 'read'.
    How should I remove it?
Thanks for your help in advance!

If the email provider is Google, try going to the gmail web portal, (log on from a computer or your iPad using safari), and manually delete the contents of your junk and trash.
I did this today, and the reappearing junk has not (as of yet) reappeared.  Knocking on wood.
