Metadata not uploading
I inserted metadata into a file using iTunes, then uploaded the file into iTunes U. When I checked in iTunes U, the metadata is empty except for Name, Artist, Album, and Comments. (Comments worked only after changing Edit Track Preferences). I was told by our Apple rep and our Apple Systems Engineer that we should be including keywords for searches. I have read in several places that the keywords go into Grouping. That is where I entered the keywords, but Grouping is blank after I upload. I looked at numerous files in several other schools' iTunes U, and noticed that Grouping is blank on each. My question: How do we get the keywords in Grouping to upload?
I found out from the iTunes U folk:
One thing to know is that there are some field that iTunes U doesn't preview in get info prior to download. This is true of the grouping metadata field. This means that you if you do a "Get info" on a track prior to downloading it, it will not display the information that you entered (though it is searchable). However, if you download the content then do a "Get info" on the track in your Library the information will be there.

Metadata not uploading properly?
... so I'm trying to use the web interface to upload a few files for a demo, and it's not quite working. I've brought the files into my local version of iTunes. I've edited the metadata there. I've tried uploading the files through the web interface, but every time I upload the files, the data I've entered in the "grouping" field doesn't get carried over from my local install of iTunes to the iTunesU system. Is there something here I'm misunderstanding?
I'm trying to upload a few files for a demo, and I want the info in the "grouping" field to be used as keywords by iTunesU - am I misunderstanding how the metadata works here?

IOS, how to add Arabic in "Metadata and Uploads"
I want to add Arabic language in my app's "Metadata and Uploads" besides default English language. I clicked "English (Default)" drop-down list, but could not find Arabic there. Is it because it's a right-to-left language?
I've added Arabic localizable.strings in my app, now I need this language be added in itunesconnect page, so that my app can be listed in Arabic.
Any idea? Thanks.You should change language in Localization native development region, but I have seen that's limited to few country.
You can use this function to change default language, but i don't know if Arabic is done... (sample is to Portuguese)

Can not Upload PDF in MDM data repository
Hi, expert,
when I upload the PDF in MDM data manager, the system error log is :
Unable to open Adobe Acrobat.
See your administrator about installing Adobe Acrobat.
But, when I upload the image, the status is success..
I do not know if it is Adobe Acrobat installing problem or I miss some configuration or it can not upload the PDF into MDM repository..
Your help would be really appreciated.

Can not upload anything when Finder window pops up on Mavericks
Running Mavericks here and just can not upload anything anymore on Facebook for example, it also happens on other webpages too where the finder window pops up to select a file to upload. The browser freezes and I have to force quit it, tried Safari, Chrome and Firefox... all the same, this leads me to believe it's a Finde issue. Don't know what to do! Bellow the crash report:

I finally found this article which helped but when I completely quit Firefox i continue to get the error. I then go back in, double-click to toggle from false to true again, quit Firefox and the problem goes away again. I do not understand anything further to this problem and do not want to continue to repeat this process every time I quite Firefox. Any suggestions or other help?

Can not upload image of larger size in jsf
i had some issues in file uploading. File uploading is working fine in my local machine and when i am using the www.mywebsite.com:8080/fileUpload.jsf
but i can not upload images by using the following www.mywebsite.com/fileUpload.jsf
Ie: without the port. I am using windows server and tomcat 5.5.27

Index.htm will NOT upload . . . desperate : /
This is my own site which I've run for 3 years. Same
computer, same program, didn't touch site set up, firewalls or
anything. This morning I make a few quick text changes to the
homepage and the file will not upload. It has in fact wiped out my
entire homepage because once it did kind of upload but some "files
were skipped during the operation". Yeah. Some files. Like, all of
them. (

The error is "no response from server" However, I created
this file:

and it uploaded just fine.
I can also connect to other sites on different servers and
upload fine.
It appears to be just index.htm. I have tried to change the
name to default.html, still will not upload
(Made switch to CS3 last year so all newer files are html and
old files are htm, has never caused a problem as long as the links
are right everywhere)
Please, any ideas? This is a online company web site, a blank
homepage is not okay. And it's killing my saturday . . . I just
wanted to post a quick note to the site :(

I have added photos to My Photo Stream on my PC (Windows 7). They appear in the Uploads folder instead. They do not upload to iCloud. Am I doing something wrong?
Unfortunately, photo stream on a PC is iffy at best. Many people have problems getting it to work properly, including myself. A work around would be to use an app like PhotoSync on your PC, which can send photos wirelessly to the camera roll on any of your iOS devices on the same wifi network. Once in the camera roll, you iOS device will be added to your photo stream.

Data is not uploaded from the dso to the cube
Dear Experts,
In one of my process chains the data is not uploaded from the dso to the cube .
I have tried to upload the data month wise also but still after certain data records the data gets stuck up.
I have recreated the indexes also.
When I am checking in DB02 the table space is shown as 18491 MB.The used space is 97%.

I didn't get your point........what have you mention that you have recreated the index before loading....
Basically.the process should be........Delete index --> Load --> Create index......
You have mentioned that 97% of the memory space is in use........please check with the basis team once......
Also, in SM37 check if any such job is there which is running for a long time but not progressing......or which you think you don't need......then kill that job......

I have a problem.
I bought Pages and Numbers for my iMac and so far everything was OK.
Suddenly i have a problem with connection to iCloud.
Dokuments created on iMac in Pages or Numbers are not transfered to iCloud. Not uploaded to iCloud. There is a sign (small shape of iCloud), that they are waiting to be uploaded to iCloud.
I think the iCloud is OK.
i can see and manage documents in iCloud. i can create them on iPad and see them and delete them in iCloud.
But not on iMac.
i dont know what has happened and I am not abble to find the solution. It was OK till some days ago….I have a similar problem! Everything stopped working after upgrading to Mac OS 10.8.4 through the App Store. Help!

FTP as remote destination not uploading - why?

I can't get the Remote FTP destination to work in Compressor 3.1 - anyone able to help?

If I submit a job with a FTP destination, the job creates the compressed file but does not upload to the FTP location. Each and every time when I view the Batch Monitor it shows 'error' and tells me...
Status: Failed - Failed to upload to ftp://users:••••••@mydomain.com/home/mydomain/public_html/downloads/-29-10-2007. m4v, encoded file is in: /var/tmp/1E668CBD-50D2-4019-AAD1-1CB58C3CE0A7-local--29-10-2007.m4v
I have tried entering the 'standard' path (usual root address) for the remote destination e.g. /downloads and also the full server path e.g. /home/mydomain/public_html/downloads and it doesn't work with either.
I use the same settings in an FTP program and it works fine. Not with Compressor. *Anyone know why?*Yes, I have checked it. Its ok.
And if I run this program in foreground it is working fine and posting a file in the FTP remote server.
I would like to explain the logic which I have used here.
I pick the data from my program logic and place the data in the application server.
Now I will pick this file and send it to the remote FTP server.
This process is working when i do it in foreground.
But failing in background job.
My file till application server is ok.

When uploading my formatted resume to my Apple Jobs profile, I am always presented with a c:\fakepath message and the resume does not upload. How can I rectify this?
Add this one to the list of thinks that don't work on the Apple Job Board. It looks like Apple is using ADP's VE (Virtual Edge) technology to run this system, and I've been stupified by the number of features that are just broken, or so poorly thought out by ADP as to be unusable, (certainly for webkit and mozilla browsers at least: I didn't bother checking IE.)
Here are a few highlights:
"My Job List", list of jobs applied for, seems to max out at three. You can apply for more than that, but you can only see the first three.
"Search Using Your Resume" feature yields few or no results, even when the pasted text contains only common, exactly matched words like 'Design' or 'Engineer'.
The missing resume upload, described in this thread.
"My Job Agent" seems to never flag anything, at least it hasn't ever for me despite pretty loose criteria.
Agent's created using "My Job Agent" eventually just disappear, which is fine because they don't seem to work.
When updating a profile, acknowledging the 'Terms' happens twice in a row.
Job seekers can only supply one cover letter despite being able apply for several jobs.
Pagination for search results only appears at the top of the page, so it's necessary to scroll down through each page, then up to the top again to proceed to the next page.
Well, I'm sure there are others, but you get the idea. I hope the Apple folks can fix this, (or twist ADP's arm to fix it,) so it better represents the quality of experience that Apple is so respected for consistently delivering. -
Someone made a purchase from my Apple ID to a device that was not mine – I received an email stating that this occurred, yet the only solution that Apple gave me was to change my password. When I look at my account, I can see the $20.00 purchase of music volumes that I did not purchase myself and was not uploaded to any of my devices; however, I cannot find a solution to getting my money back or to file a complaint against the unknown person that did this. Additionally, how do we prevent something like this from happening again, especially when I have an iPhone? What can I do in this situation?
Thank you for the suggestion. I did change the password; however, I generally will purchase gift cards to link to the account so that if something like this ever happened it would not be taken out of a credit card or bank account.

My ipod Touch is NOT uploading info to my computer when syncing
I have had this iMac in the genius bar TWICE in 24 hours...and of course they just did their "job" by just reinstalling the OS..I could have done that at home and saved me all that trouble...a corrupt file was picked up online and it messed with everything,not opening Safari(I do not like it anyway)...but now I am doing just the SIMPLE things to get back my computer & iTouch....and it is not uploading data I input on the iPod to the computer when syncing. I have had an Apple computer(s) for over 20 years...and this is the worse one ever, even thinking of switching brands, it's that BAD!

can you sync your purchases from the ipod to iTunes? Try to download a free app using the ipod and choose "Transfer purchases" in the File menu in iTunes when you have connected your device. Disable autosync first. Also make sure your iMac is authorized in the Store menu and you did a reset of the sync history in iSync/settings. Make sure to have at least one contact set up in your address book on your mac before you sync your contacts. -
I purchased an audio book from iTunes store. It successfully downloaded to my iTunes library< but will not upload to my ipod Touch, even though my computer is authorized. Any suggestions? Any and all are greatly appreciated.
If your iTunes is set on manual sync, then you have to manually drag and drop. Otherwise every time yousyncyou'll get all changes even if you don't want it.
