Metadata template created in Bridge can't change "Copyright Status" property

If I create a metadata template in Bridge CS4, select Copyright Status and set it to Copyrighted,
any other metadata changes in the template will be applied, but "Copyright Status won't change.
I can't even manually set the Copyright Status from within Bridge.  If I try, I get an error message,
"This property cannot be modified."
Here's the workaround — create the template in Photoshop or Illustrator, not Bridge.
Open one of the images in Photoshop or Illustrator, select File Info, enter the metadata,
and select Export.  The resulting template will be available in Bridge,
and it can change the Copyright Status.
A fix for this in the next incarnation of Bridge would be greatly appreciated.

As with almost all my problems, there is apparently no solution, so I am going to try reinstalling photoshop. So can someone at least tell me what is likely to be overwritten so that I can protect it.  And where they are stored? EG Web Gallery templates?  Keywords?

  • In which transaction can I change the status of a field?

    Hi,
In which transaction can I change the status of a field?
In transaction FB75 (enter customer credit memo) on the Details TAB, the G/L account is defaulted.
How can I change this field, so that I can enter a new G/L account?
    Thank you for your feeback.
    Kind regards,
    Linda

    hi Linda,
this is the reconciliation account of the customer. As another commenter already pointed out, you can change this in the master data of the customer (tcode FD02, Company code data).
From Release 4.7 (and up) there is another option: in the master data of this G/L account you can set up, if you can change this G/L by posting. This is a checkbox in the G/L master data (tcode FS00). If you tick it, you'll be able to change this reconciliation account it in FB75 (and elswhere by customer postings).
"I see that in transaction Fd02, the reconc. account is also grey (cannot be changed)."
You have to check the field status settings in SPRO!
    hope this helps

  • Can not change the field property - 10gR2 reports crashing on Linux :(

All I want to do, is to change one field's property from NUMBER to DATE in the property palette. It does not allow me to do it (not east like forms). I can not change the field property - 10gR2 reports keep crashing on Linux :(
I don't know if this is a Linux specific iDS issue, or a generic one.
What are the proper steps to change one field (in my query, the field name is ptime, it was defined as a number field originally, and now I need to change it to DATE and apply the proper format mask). The matching database field definition was modified from number to date.
    very frustrating...
    Any input is appreciated.

nop, did not change anything in the select statement at all. Just selected the related query under the data model (in the navigator), then selected the related query from within the property panel, connected to the db, then from the related navigor menu selected compile all, when the related query was highlighted (selected). Then I saved it, checked the groups, and bingo - the datatype was changed from number to date. Then I went to the related object under the page layout and applied the format mask (that was another funny story). And it worked. It is not as flexible as the forms for sure - pain in the a.. And I still don't know why Reports Builder keeps crashing on Linux - have no problems with Forms Developer on Linux at all. It is a certified RH platform with all the required libs, rpms, etc installed. I am certain it is not an installation issue. Maybe I should check Metalink and apply if an iDS 10gR2 patch exists for reports.

  • Create Metadata Template Bug in Bridge w/ Vista 64

I recently installed CS3 on a new 64-bit Vista PC.  When I go to create a metadata template in Bridge, it only comes up with a gray dialog box instead of displaying any options or checkboxes (see attached).  Can't figure it out.  If anyone knows a way to fix this, please let me know!
    Thanks!

You can also hold down the Ctrl key and then start Bridge and still get reset window.  Helps with the tricky timing issue of clicking on Bridge icon first, then trying to press Crtl key before Bridge starts.

  • Where does the "Submit Form" button get created and how can I change the associated email address?

I've created a pdf form using Adobe Live Cycle ES 8.2 and it has been working fine.  Now I need to change the email address it gets sent to when the user clicks on the "Submit Form" button.
How can I change this email address?
    Thank you in advance

    Yes, that is correct.
I did not manually add this button, so I am assuming it was somehow automatically created.
It worked great up until now that I need to change the "To:" email address.
I've look through the XML code associated this this email address and changed it every where I could find it, but it still hasn't changed my results.  So, I have no idea how to change this and as stated above, if I create a new form it automatically sets it up to be sent to the wrong email address.  Not sure why or how to change it?
Let me know if you need further info to help me out.
    Thanks again

  • How can I change the status of refund order to complete from CRMD_ORDER?

I can I manually (Force) change the status of a refund order from within CRMD_ORDER?.
    Jason

When doing that from the order's Status screen against User status I only get the dropdown status of 'Request Payment' that can be set. Hence the reason for thinking that there's more to do to correct this problem.

  • On a previously created form, how can I change the color scheme?

Our business has a previously created application form that has the title of each section in a purple bar and we would like to change the color of each divider bar. How do we change this?

You would normally make revisions to the source document (InDesign, Word, etc.), create a new PDF, and in Acrobat replace the old pages with the new. Any fields, links, bookmarks, code, etc. will be retained. The point is changing colors of things in Acrobat is not something it's intended to do.

  • Scanning into iphoto 08 creates single events can I change that?

When scanning photos into iphoto 08 with my epson flatbed my individual scans show up as single events, so if I scan 100 pictures of Dad I have 100 separate events. Is there a way to pre-select creating one event before I begin the scan process? Also is there a way to target the event I want a scan to end up in?

But once you scan several you can select all the events you just created and click merge and merge them into one event
Or scan to a folder on the desktop and then import that folder into iPhoto (probably want to turn off the option to split items imported from the finder into events)

  • Please make "Copyright Status" an editable option in creating metadata templates

I'm new to the Adobe eLearning suite, including Bridge CS4.  I've found a workaround in the forums for this issue already, but I really think this is something that Adobe should fix in the Bridge software itself.  Apologies if someone else has already posted this as a feature request in this forum, but as it seems I'm unable to search within just this forum, I gave up looking.
In a nutshell: "Copyright Status" should be a field available when choosing what IPTC Core metadata to include in a new metadata template.  And it's also not an editable field when looking at the metadata for an image!  The whole point of metadata templates is to make it unnecessary to edit a single field (like "Copyright Status") one image at a time.  Yet even with the new Bridge CS4, the Copyright Status field is not an option you can include in a new metadata template.  Surely it wouldn't be that big a deal to make the 3-item pick list of "Unknown," "Copyrighted" and "Public Domain" available on the Create Metadata Template checklist.  Or if having a pick list is too tricky to code on that form and it must be just a checkbox item, do that, and let us populate the text in the field ourselves.
Currently, it's necessary to tweak the metadata on a single image to include the "Copyrighted" status, then Export it and save it as a new metadata template, just to have that one field populated by default.  Supplying copyright status as part of a template is a fundamental need for anyone creating or dealing with large numbers of images, and it shouldn't require a workaround to create a properly inclusive metadata template.
    Thanks!

In Bridge CS4, highlight your thumbnail, go to the File Menu and select File and then File Info.  There you will be able to choose your Copyright Status under the Description tab.  What a pain in the butt!  Mine kept coming up "Public Domain!"

  • Metadata templates - changing titles

    Hello,
I'm not sure if it is possible or not, but when adding metadata in photoshop/bridge, can you change the photoshop settings for what each item is called? i.e. when it states Author..... Can i change the title Author to Photographer instead?
Also, the images have been shot on film, I would like to add this information into the metadata, am i able to write in 120 film, and the camera type/settings etc?
    If so how?
    Thanks

In general it is a bad idea to change a world standard to my opinion. Under
the section IPTC you can fill in that you are the creator as well as your
job title and address. The section Author should also contain your name if
you are the one that writes the description and other IPTC data.
Also, the images have been shot on film, I would like to add this information
into the metadata, am i able to write in 120 film, and the camera

There are some scripts that let you alter Exif data or erase those Exif
data. Again in general it is a bad idea to change standards.
However you can add this info in the description field or also as keywords
so you can easily find those files back using the filter panel.
