Meteo application by default with too poor informations
Hi,
Before using iPhne 4S, I had replaced Meteo application installaed by default with another one (WeatherPro) wich delivers far more informations on the weather.
But now, with the 4S and Siri and the new notification center, we are supposed to use the Yahoo Meteo application if we want to see it in the notification center or if we want to ask Siri about the weather...
But informations delivered by this application are very poor ! There is even information about wind speed and wind chill !
Will it be replaced in the future by a "real" weather application ?
thx

Set Open Documents in Client Applications by Default with SharePoint 2007
I have activated the excel service with sharepoint 2007, but some excel files can't be opened well for unsupported features.
Therefore, I have to set to open excel file by client application avoiding the above error.
I have done bellow settings but no effect:
1)Change the advanced settings in document library to
Open in the client application;
2)Set authentication providers to Enable client intergration;
3)I 'd like to activate the feature of
open documents in the client application but I can't find it in features.
Please kindly guide me how to make it.
Many appreciations for your support in advance!Hi,
Please try the solutions that provided in below threads:
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/919e102c-923b-4eee-b89c-631c0d557709/how-to-mandate-excel-2007-document-xlsx-to-open-in-excel-2007-client-instead-of-excel-web-acess-in?forum=onlineservicessharepoint

Then, this issue is not controlled by Office client, we need to config it with SharePoint. Thus, if you have further question, I recommend you post it SharePoint forum:

Hope it's helpful.

I want to open a domain.site2 file outside the default folder (User/Library/Application Support/iWeb) with iWeb11, but iWeb only opens the domain file in the default folder. If I delete the default domain file, iWeb wants to create a new site. Does anyone have the same problem or know how to fix it?
In Lion the Finder folder is now invisible. To make it permanetely visible enter the following in the Terminal applicaiton window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
For opening your domain file in Lion for the first time or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an applicaiton.
Just launch the applicaiton, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
do shell script "/usr/bin/defaults write com.apple.iWeb iWebDefaultsDocumentPath -boolean no"delay 1
tell application "iWeb" to activate

Open CC applications to default preferences with no user input
I am searching for a way to open CC applications to default preferences with no user input. I understand there is a key board short cut (command/option/shift on start) but I am hunting for a way to have the preferences always revert to default. In the past I have written a script to delete the preference files upon computer start up but once again, it needs to be rewritten. Is there a method that does not require KLUDGE?
Try:

Over the years I have had many ISP and email addresses - but now we have finally gone almost fully virtual...
I have a live login and MS ID 4 my SkyDrive account but I only use my MS touch with 8.1, SkyDrive and office 365 for mobility.
And I still like to backup to my own server!!!
What would be good is if I can put all the software licenses and product keys of the software and keep a record of my mac addresses for hardware and even static IP's in a file or a secure location within the MS online store.
That's where MS wants me to get my computing needs from in future and I will always be able to retrieve it in future but what about the $$$$$ I have spent on software, hardware and applications prior to now???
I know u guys love 2 collect data 4 marketing analysis,
4 example I have an old PC that is still running a server from last century - if you knew about it a simple script would allow you to offer upgrades or at least relevant MS products - UNLIKE the rubbish adds I just turn off or tune out
now...
Why cant I add products previous online email purchases into the 1 MS live ID account where I can keep it together? If you make that available I don't have to have separate steam accounts, EA game accounts, ASUS and adobe accounts etc
etc.
What has brought me 2 this is I was looking for my office pro 2007 disks to rebuild a HOME USE ONLY windows 7 laptop (NO touch screen so 8.1 is no benefit at all)
I HAVE 4 Genuine PRODUCT KEYs for Office 2007 BUT EVERY TIME I WENT TO DOWNLOAD the software - regardless of the key I used - I got the error message: We are sorry, but we are unable to complete your request.•The Office 2007 Product Key
provided is already associated with another user on this site. Please log in with the user information originally used with this Office 2007 Product Key.
That's crap - This is a clean brand spanker install of Win7 and there was nothing b4 I put the oem drivers from Toshiba back on.
I looked at dozens of support pages and forum blogs and tried for hours to get a copy to download - including incognito and other logins but because my default PC name is also my MS Windows live ID the same error was repeated.
I keep away from the non MS sites for these things and with good reason - there were heaps of similar users with the same issue or very close to it that had downloaded from a supposed MS copy from eValue or digital river etc and the next
thing was total corruption of the OS.
EVENTUALLY I found a LIVE MS chat on a support site in the US and she gave me a link to a slightly older version which will need updating and some reg edit changes but so far, so good.
The point is - what a crock !
I should be able to just keep all my software, drivers, updates, service packs, and versions that I have upgraded in the MS store.
If Microsoft aren't going to support XP or Office 2003 and eventually 2007, vista & Windows7 not far behind??? then that's still no excuse for them to put these restrictions and limits when I OWN my copy of the software!!
Unlike office 365 and SkyDrive space which is described in the T&C (that we all read before ticking that radial button to agree of course) as ONLY under a leased licence.
IF Microsoft can support AND develop software that supports SQL2000 Servers, why is it so hard to archive and keep the same info for everyone???Over the years I have had many ISP and email addresses - but now we have finally gone almost fully virtual...

Hello everybody,First of all I have to say that I'm not a Netapp expert as you will see.After some time without receivng the autosupport, with the help of NetApp support we solved that problem.Now I receive daily one mail with performance data and one mail fron each storage. Each mail contains about 20 files. Some of them compressed and some plain text files. Too much information. Also I supose ver complete information. But I can't analyze daily those files.The problem that I have is that I'm not an expert.In our IT Dept we are two people and we receive similar information from other resources: Backup copies results, VmWare chenges of status, and so on.When we receive those mails we only check if in the boy of the e-mail some error is metioned.I wonder if NetApp (our storages) is capable to send me an e-mail only with relevant error messages. Please undestand me. All this information is very useful to solve problems and know the storage status, but is too much information if I need only to notice that "there is a problem". Excuse me for this "simple" problem and my poor English. Thank you all. Daniel
Hi Daniel, What you need to do is divert your autosupport to Netapp ASUP DataWare House instead of your email id . Any support can help setting up filer configuration for the same. For getting notified for failure messages , you can use "myautosupport" tool. it is available for any one who has purchased storage system from Netapp The flow is1. Login to http://mysupport.netapp.com/myautosupport/2. Search for System by Serial Number, System id, Host Name3. Select Notification 4. Select appropriate error messages for which you need asup For errors refer below sections : "Section:Error Messages"5. Enter email id and submit

How do I open photoshop? I have it downloaded and only the Adobe Application manager shows with the list of other software. I clicked on photoshop, but not responding.
Nobody can know. Your information is far too vague - no system info, no other details. Just saying that it doesn't work is not conducive to providing assistance...

Hi All ,
I am working on one custom Order Mangement ADF Application which integrates with EBiz R12.2.3.
We are trying to get the Ebiz userid ,username,Responsibility ID and Application ID in ADF through below Code
public HashMap checkEBSSession(HttpServletRequest request,
HttpServletResponse response) {
System.out.println("In AMImpl.. checkEBSSession1");
Session session = null;
HashMap hmap = new HashMap();
try {
Connection conn =
getDBTransaction().createStatement(1).getConnection();
System.out.println("In AMImpl.. checkEBSSession2");
EBiz ebiz =
new EBiz(conn, "012E7E82CD8852BBE053860F6E0AD63413191049361744553610276495342217");
System.out.println("In AMImpl.. checkEBSSession3");
AppsRequestWrapper wrapper =
new AppsRequestWrapper(request, response, conn, ebiz);
System.out.println("In AMImpl.. checkEBSSession4");
session = wrapper.getAppsSession(true);
System.out.println("In AMImpl.. checkEBSSession5");
Map columns = session.getInfo();
System.out.println("In AMImpl.. checkEBSSession6");
String respId = (String)columns.get("RESPONSIBILITY_ID");
String currentUserId = (String)columns.get("USER_ID");
String currentApplId = (String)columns.get("APPLICATION_ID");
String currentOrgId = (String)columns.get("ORG_ID");
System.out.println("In AMImpl.. checkEBSSession7...respId : "+respId);
System.out.println("In AMImpl.. checkEBSSession8...UserId : "+currentUserId);
System.out.println("In AMImpl.. checkEBSSession9...APPL_SERVER_ID : "+currentApplId);
System.out.println("In AMImpl.. checkEBSSession10..OrgId : "+currentOrgId);
logger.info("respid: " + respId);
//System.out.println("In AMImpl.. checkEBSSession8");
hmap.put("RESPONSIBILITY_ID",respId);
//System.out.println("In AMImpl.. checkEBSSession9");
} catch (Exception e) {
System.out.println("Error: " + e.getMessage());
return hmap;
By using this code I am Getting all the Information Except the Application ID.
If someone have any idea how to get the application ID please share it .
Thanks in Advance !!
Thanks & Regards

I upgraded to Yosemite, and now Safari will not even load. It immediately goes to the "quit unexpectedly" error window, with the following information (which means nothing to me, of course). I've seen others posting issues like this, but have yet to see a solution. Apparently I cannot just reinstall Safari, so do I need to figure out how to uninstall the upgrade and try again? Is this worth it, or should I just uninstall and go back to my prior OS until Apple can provide a clean upgrade? Anyone know the answers?

I am having problems saving documents back to SharePoint when any of the document properties (metadata columns) are set to be "managed metadata". The check-in/save fails with error:
The document could not be saved. The server said:
“The operation failed because an unexpected error occurred. (Result code 0×80020005)”
Please ensure you have completed all required properties with the correct information and try again.
I have seen similar threads that suggest this is a known issue with this version of Acrobat but I would like conformation from Adobe that this is a known issue and whether it is fixed in a newer version?
Adobe Acrobat version 10.1.13
SharePoint 2010Hi quodd,,
We are sorry for the issue being faced by you. I need some information from you so that I take further steps:
1. Which Adobe product are you using Acrobat or Adobe reader- what is the complete version?
2. How are you opening and saving the PDF, the exact workflow?
Are you doing it from within Adobe Reader/Acrobat application or opening it from browser, doing changes and saving it using browser itself.
3. Can you try to save a PDF to library with Custom template and managed metadata columns using browser directly.
4. Please verify that columns name do not contain spaces or some other special characters.
Can you try to save PDF to library with Custom template and just a single managed metadata column with a simple name
Thanks,

Using X11 application as default for file type?
Hello,
I wanted to know if it's possible to set an X11 application as default application to open a certain file type.
I tried the "open with" option on a file type, but the X11 application I wanted to associate to was unavailable (impossible to select) in the file explorer window.
Thanks.
-- PaoloUnix executables are not usually "visible." "Standard" OS X applications use the ".app" extension, but Unix executables do not. I suspect that's why you are having the problem. Making the association through OS X may not be possible.

Using a LabVIEW application as default program for opening files
Google has returned nothing useful on this. I want to use a built LabVIEW application to open data files from the Windows desktop. It is easy to edit the Windows registry to set the application as default program - but I'm not sure how to set the event in LabVIEW to open the file. Any suggested reading?
Solved!
Go to Solution.I have done this before...I have a small LabVIEW .exe which looks at the version of a VI and selects the appropriate version of LabVIEW to open it with if available. It also adds explorer context menu items for allowing you pick a specific version of LabVIEW to open the file with.
This is a rough idea of the registry keys for adding a program to handle specific file types and to add items to the shell menu in the installer:
Add your own 'LabVIEWOpenWithVersion' key and then add the key name to the OpenWithProgids for the file extensions you want to be able to open with your application. The command part looks like this:
Look at the Windows/MSDN help for what the different keys mean and how they are used, I think you can also set a key to make one of your handlers (e.g. Open, openWithLV) the default for the file type.
For getting the file that was opened 'with' your application, use the App.Args property, ignoring the first item (which is always LabVIEW) in the array.

Run Webdypro Java application by default
Hi ,
Is that possible to run a Webdynpro Java application by default when User logs into Portal?
Actual requirement is that we need to assign Users with different ume groups once User login to portal depending on some User attributes.
I am thinking adding the developed WD application to default frame work page will that work?
Many Thanks
Chandra.Hi Chandra,
You can always modify the login page. So, when a user logs into a page, you can write custom code to be implemented - jspDynPage for login is modified.
Now, to implement sync between UME and Corporate LDAP, you could have a scheduled program in background(Java Scheduler) which runs everyday to sync the UEM data with LDAP data.
Now the tricky part. To trigger a background process as and when the user is managed in UME we need to find a way to alter the standard UME page. Not so sure if SAP allows us to do it.
Simplest option, alter the login page. On the first time login(something your code should be able to determine), call the Java EJB/web service which will send this data to your LDAP.

Cloning Oracle Applications Release 12 with Rapid Clone
Hi,
I was going through metalink doc 406982.1 Cloning Oracle Applications Release 12 with Rapid Clone.
I couldn't understand a few points.
I would appreciate if someone can guide me regarding the following queries.
There is a statement in the doc
1)An important principle in Oracle Applications cloning is that the system is cloned, rather than the topology ....
--What is meant by topology in this description?
2)The Cloning methodology posted on this document requires full Autoconfig complience.
--didn't get this point.
3)Note: In the copying tasks below, UNIX/Linux users should ensure that the symbolic links (soft links) are preserved when copying. On most UNIX platforms, this can be accomplished with the cp -RH command. Consult the UNIX man page for the cp command to check the parameters available on your platform.
--what soft links are being talked about?will the regular cp -R command not preserve the soft links?
4)For patching AutoConfig on the E-Business Suite R12 instance, AutoConfig needs to be enabled on both the applications tier and the database tier. (387859.1)
--HOw do I check if AutoConfig is enabled or not?
5)Why do I need to synchronize appsutil on database tier from application tier?
6)Why do we need to maintaain snapshot information?
What does snapshot actually do?
Thannks,

after executing adpreclone on db tier I got the following message in logfile.
error while preclone on db tier:Attempt to remove existing adcrdb.zip failed
What could have been wrong?
Is the message normal and can it be safely ignored?
As a pre-install task of patch 9239089,I executed adgrantsall.sql
which gave me a prompt Enter a value for 1:
I entered apps (apps schemaname/username)
Is it ok?
