Method for Server Start Time

Does anyone know of a method that returns the server start time?

I'll answer myself for this one....
import weblogic.time.common.internal.TimeEventGenerator; //undocumented class
Date lt = TimeEventGenerator.getLaunch();

  • Meals Per Diem by time for trip - start time & End time of the trip

    Hi,
    Please let me know if the Meal per Diem by time for trip -  - start time & End time of the trip is active or Inactive in SAP 6.0 .
    Can Meal per Diem by time for trip (not by hours) be configured in SAP Travel management.
    Please let me know how it can be configured - please provide an insight & details how it can be configured.
    We are trying to implement Meals Per Diem by time to European countries .
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Sekhar.

    Hi,
    Yes Meals per diem can be configured based on time of trip.. (V_T706H)
    Following help would be helpful for you..
    Regards,
    Muhammad Umer
    Define Per Diems for Meals/Time
    In Travel Accounting you can do accounting of meals per diems for exact times.
    The meals per diems/time are distinguished using the following control parameters:
    trip country
    trip region
    enterprise-specific trip type
    These three control parameters are active during accounting.
    For every possible combination of the allowed entry values of the control parameters defined by you in the section Control parameters for trip costs, a meals per diem/time must be defined.
    statutory trip type
    trip activity type
    statutory reimbursement group for meals/accommodations
    enterprise-specific reimbursement group for meals/accommodations
    For each trip provision variant, you can determine how these control parameters influence the determination of reimbursement rates for meals per diems.
    If these control parameters are active, you have to define a meals per diem for each combination of all active control parameters.
    day
    The meals per diems/time can be scaled according to the total number of trip days. The valuation of the trip duration is carried out according to time, the entries are to be made correspondingly.
    For first/last trip day the following is required:
    number of days 1: time interval in which the meals per diem is                 reimbursed.
    Example:
    08.00 - 09.00 75.20 ATS
    If a trip starts before 8.00 a.m. and ends after 09.00 a.m., a meals per diem of 75.20 ATS is reimbursed.
    For entire trip days you require:
    number of days 99: complete time interval from 00.00 hours to 24.00 hours.
    For entire trip days with stopovers you require:
    number of days 98: Point in time up to which per-diem amount is                    reimbursed.
                       In general, an interval of <Zone
                       minute is enough.
    Example:
    08.00 - 08.01 100.00 ATS for destination France
    For a stay in France from 00.00 hours to 08.30 hours, a meals per diem /time of 100.00 ATS is reimbursed.
    For a stay in Germany from 8:31 hours to 24.00 hours, you access the corresponding  meals per diem/time for Germany.
    Validity interval in minutes
    The meals per diem/time are defined for a specific time in the system via the control parameters, a validity interval in minutes, via a validity period and the reimbursement amounts.
    Note
    If the reimbursement rates in a meals per diem/time are changed, you do not need to create a new meals per diem/time, but rather you can delimit the previously valid meals per diem/time in regard to time using a delimitation date. When you do this, a new identical meals per diem/time which is valid as of the entered date, is generated. For this new meals per diem/time, you need then only change the reimbursement amounts.
    Requirements
    You need to have defined the control parameters which you intend to use for modifying the meals per diem/time in the section Control parameters for trip costs.
    Recommendation
    SAP recommends that you set the end date of the validity period of a meals per diem/time to the date 31.12.9999, since the end date cannot be changed at a later stage.
    In this way no restrictions are placed on delimiting.
    Activities
    To define a meals per diem/time, proceed as follows:
    1. Choose the trip provision variant you require.
    2. Assign control parameters according to your requirements.
    Note that you cannot change the control parameters at a later date.
    3. In the field Time from, enter the time that you wish to define as the start of the exact (to-the-minute) validity interval.
    4. In the field Time to, enter the time which you wish to define as the end of the exact (to the-minute) validity interval.
    5. Define a validity period via the fields Start and End.
    Note that you cannot change the end date at a later stage.
    6. In the field Currency, assign the required currency for the reimbursement amounts.
    7. Enter the tax-free reimbursement amount in the field Tax-free amount.
    8. Enter the enterprise-specific reimbursement amount in the field reimbursement amount.
    9. Enter the reimbursement amount which you charge a customer in the field Amount for customers.
    Note
    At present, this amount is not evaluated by the standard programs.
    To delimit a meals per diem/time, proceed as follows:
    1. Select the required meals per diem/time in the overview screen.
    2. Choose Goto -> Detail.
    You are now in the detail screen.
    3. Choose Edit -> Delimit validity.
    4. Enter the new validity date in the field Valid from.
    5. Press the function key Continue.
    6. Check the tax-free reimbursement amount in the field Tax-free amount and change it if necessary.
    7. Change the enterprise-specific reimbursement amount in the field Reimbursement amount if necessary.
    8. If necessary, change the reimbursement amount in the field Amount for customers.
    Note
    At present, this amount is not evaluated by the standard programs.

  • How to know portal server starting time

    Dear gurus
    How to know the portal system or portal process's  (server0/server1/SDM/dispatcher)  starting time or stopping time. like in Tcode: ST02 it will show the server started time
    as i want to know when it has restarted...
    Thanks in advance

    You can use the SAP MMC (windows application) or Java MMC online : http://server:port+13
    e.g. if your port is 50000 then the Java MMC is on port 50013
    Is there you can have what you need.

  • Trying to execute a method for a set time

    Hi all,
    Propably this is easy for most of you.
    How can I try to excecute a method for a set amount of time before giving up.
    For example with the URL
    Try to open a connection to this URL
    If we can not get a connection going within the time limit eg. 5 seconds
    abort trying to connect
    Thanks Oscar

    long millisToTry = 5000;
    long startedTrying = System.currentTimeMillis();
    boolean connected = false;
    while (!connected && (System.currentTimeMillis() - startedTrying < millisToTry))
        System.out.println("Trying...");
        // do your voodoo
        try{ Thread.sleep(1000); } catch (Exception e) {} // try once per second...

  • Best Method For Server Variables in Multi-Developer / Multi-Server environment?

    In addition to having a development environment on my laptop and my desktop, we have a staging server and a production server. Furthermore, we have one or more developers and contributors who may have one or more development environments of their own.
    Each of these environments may have their own copy of ColdFusion (developer, standard, enterprise - whatever is needed) and their own copy of SQL Server / Express / whatever, their own data source name, data user name, data password, names for CF Mappings, and so forth.  So, while the SQL tables and directory structure of the code is all the same, there are many things different from one to the next.
    Certainly, we need to have a large number of variables so when someone uploads via SVN commit they don't screw everyone else up because they shove their own local names into place.
    How do YOU handle that?  XML file?  CFC? some form of .INI file?   Looking for a solid way to handle this for a myriad of developers and environments, so I welcome seeing YOUR solution.
    Thank you!
    RLS

    BKBK,
    Thank you for the response.
    We considered a databased-solution, but if we keep all of the variables in a database and our datasource in CF contains the user/psw, then it's increasingly easy for any hacker to reach into our bag of jewels.  If you don't store the user/psw in CF, then all of your developers have easy access to the db user/psw and that's not easy to change when each one leaves.
    One of the most compelling solutions we have found is http://code.google.com/p/configcfc/  By using an XML file and designating it as do-not-upload in the svn local files for each developer, each developer can maintain their own list of variables with the values customized to their environment, and when they push updates they don't have to worry about flipping switches or making changes to what the source or destination location is.  Furthermore, being an XML that actually ends with ".cfm" means that it cannot be read by the typical hacker.
    BTW, for anyone who hasn't discovered SVN in conjunction with Dreamweaver when working in a multi-programmer environment, man, you're missing out.  The one place that Adobe needs to finish this, though, is the final step -- migration from your staging server to production.  Anyone with clues on that will earn my undying gratitude (for whatever that's worth!).

  • EjbActivate() and ejbPassivate() methods are called million times!!! :(

    Hello All,
    Am I missing some thing here?
    We have a project with many Entity Beans, and all of them have relations with one another. The simple example I can give is Entity A has one to many relation with Entity B.
    i.e There could be one Entity A and for this there could be many Entities B these two entities are managed by CMR fields.
    Entity A has a PK, this would act as a FK in Entity B.
    In the EJB Post create method of Entity B I am trying to find a suitable entity A and trying to execute setEntityA(suitableEntityA), while this method is getting executed here is the things that happen
    the container tries to find all Entity B (if there are 10,000 records in B table then ejbActivate() of B is executed 10,000 times) then it sets the relation with Entity A, then at the end of the Transaction the container will call ejbPassivate() method on Entity B 10,000 times!!! oh god what is happening here...!!!?????
    can some one tell me if I am missing some settings?
    The same thing happends for all the other EJBs which have one to many CMR fields, i.e ejbActivate() and ejbPassivate() of each of these Entity Beans will be called for those many number of times for as many records found in the Datbase of the corresponding Entity.
    I have the follwing setting in my orion-ejb-jar.xml file
    <entity-deployment name="EntityA"
    max-tx-retries="0"
    max-instances="-1"
    location="EntityA"
    table="A"
    data-source="jdbc/oracleDS"
    exclusive-write-access="false"
    locking-mode="optimistic"
    update-changed-fields-only="true"
    delay-updates-until-commit="true">
    similar xml construct for Entity B also!!!
    If some one knows more about this please let me know.
    Thank you
    -Mallik

    Found one more thing for this CMP-CMR relationship and ejbActivate() and ejbPassivate() process of CMP Entity's.
    In this above example if say
    Entity A (Dept) ------ Entity B (Employee) (1:M) has one to many relationship
    Employee holds a FK value which is PK in Dept (dept_id).
    Suppose asssume that there are 10,000 employees working for a dept_id = 5.
    (i.e there are 10,000 records in Employee that references Dept table with dept_id =5)
    Now I want to add one more employee to this dept_id = 5, then I create an Employee entity and in the ejbPostCreate() method of Employee entity I lookup Dept Entity with Dept_PK=5, until this every thing is fine. Now I call setter method with in Employee Entity to set the dept such as setDept_dept_id(detpEntity5), at the execution of this method EJB container calls starts calling Employee Entity's the ejbActivate() method for 10,000 times this equals the number of references Employee table has to Dept table with Dept_ID=5, then at the end of the transaction the container calls ejbPassivate() method 10,000 times to passivate all those ejbs that it activated.
    Did some one experience the same thing with CMP EJBs? please let me know what I have to do to avoid such things?
    Thank you
    Mallik

  • Server start up error

    I have configured two applications on two different domains belonging to two different instances of my weblogic server.Now I am getting the following error:
    While starting the second instance of my weblogic server ,I am getting the error-' Server cannot be launched within timeout '.The first instance is starting properly.
    My weblogic server version is 10.
    Please help!!

    I have weblogic10 server installed on my workstation.In that I have created two domains base_domain and dest_domain,in each domain I have created one server instance and both are named AdminServer.In each server instance I have deployed one seperate Application.
    The server instance that is starting is having a cmd window opened with the script responsible for server start up running in it successfully.
    But when I start the second server instance it does not open any such window.
    And yes I see the server log for the server instance getting started and do not see any such server log for the instance that fails to start.

  • Initial Bounce start time still "broken" in L9

    When you choose Bounce from File menu, the Bounce window comes up with an initial Start and End time. It is this initial Start time that I am concerned with. What is NOT broken is the Bounce actually starting at the time shown in the Start area. That works just fine whether I leave it like it is or change it by hand. When IS "broken" is what Start time Logic 9 chooses to automatically fill in when you open the Bounce window, forcing me to manually change it every time I bounce.
    When cycle is off and you have nothing selected in the arrange area, the initial Start time in the Bounce window is supposed to be your project start time. This is broken for project start times BEFORE 1 1 1 1. For instance, when I set my project start time to 0 4 4 1 and open the Bounce window, the time Logic 9 automatically selects for the start time is 1 1 1 1. It should be 0 4 4 1.
    Also, when cycle is off and you have a region (or regions) selected in the arrange area, the initial Start time in the Bounce window is supposed to be the beginning of the earliest region. This is broken for regions that start before 1 1 1 1. For instance, when I have selected a region that starts at 0 4 4 81 and open the Bounce window, the time Logic 9 automatically selects for the start time is 1 1 1 81. It should be 0 4 4 81.
    Logic 8 did the same thing. Is there anything I'm missing about this that would show that this is expected behavior verses a bug?
    Message was edited by: Will Rees

    Yes, it's a confirmed bug, in L8 at least.
    However, you should always think twice about using the space prior to 1.1.1.1, because a) Freeze files do begin there and b) MIDI Clock and MTC are being generated only at and after 1.1.1.1.

  • Question: Best method for mounting drives at log-in time?

    I would like to know what others consider the best method for mounting drives at log-in time is? I can see a few methods such as start-up items on the client, start-up items on the server to managed users and possibly a start-up script. One wrinkle in the scenario is that users can log-in directly to the server so the method should allow that to happen gracefully. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Bigsky,
    You are asking some really fundamental questions that require quite a lot of explanation. Luckily Apple has some great documentation on their server software.
    You will be able to find your answers here by diggin in a bit:

  • Not able to start SOA managed server first time with node manager by WLST

    Hi all,
    I have created a SOA11g domain. Then using WLST utility I have started the Node Manager.
    Then from WLST prompt I have connected to the Node Manager & started the Admin Server successfully.
    But when ever I am starting the SOA manager server using WLST it's throwing the following error in WLST page : -
    Error Starting server soa_server1: weblogic.nodemanager.NMException: Exception while starting server 'soa_server1'
    In server log file I am getting the following error : -
    Server subsystem failed. Reason: weblogic.security.SecurityInitializationException: Authentication for user denied
    weblogic.security.SecurityInitializationException: Authentication for user denied
    I am getting this problem only when I am trying to start the domain for the first time after domain creation using WLST/nodemanager.
    If I start & stop the SOA managed server from EM console & then try to start it aging from WLST/NodeManager then it's work fine.
    Can anyone please tell me what can be the issue?
    Thanks in Advance!!!

    Hi,
    I am getting this problem only when I am trying to start the domain for the first time after domain creation using WLST/nodemanager.
    If I start & stop the SOA managed server from EM console & then try to start it aging from WLST/NodeManager then it's work fine.When you a server for the first time by using console or startManagedWeblogic.cmd, a file boot.properties is created under %DOMAIN_HOME%\servers\soa_server2\data\nodemanager...
    The WLST/Nodemanager approach doesn't create the file so it won't work for the first start... But it will work just fine from the second on...
    I've never tried, but you can try and create the boot.properties manually in your script with the following content... Password should be encrypted after the first successful start...
    username=type-the-username-here
    password=type-the-password-here
    Cheers,
    Vlad

    Hi,
    There are services in Content Server that will allow you to create revisions of existing items. For example, CHECKIN_UNIVERSAL service will check in a new revision of an item if that Content ID already exists. You can also checkout a document if needed using the CHECKOUT service. Please refer to the services reference guide for more details (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e11011/toc.htm).
    Regarding conversion and watermarking...
    You don't have to call a service to convert or watermark a document. These features have to be configured on the server. If you configure the content server to convert Word documents to PDF, then whenever a Word document is checked in, the content server will automatically convert it to PDF. In addition, if you have PDFWatermarking enabled and configured, watermarks will be applied automatically as well. All you have to do is ensure the product is configured correctly for the formats you want, and then check in the document. When you retrieve a document (using the GET_FILE service for example), you can ask for the PDF version by passing additional parameters.
    Please review the Application Administrators Guide (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e10978/toc.htm) for info on enabling and configuring PDF Watermarking.
    The doc links referenced above are for UCM 11g. The same docs are available for 10gR3 at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10316_01/ouc.htm.

  • Change default scheduled defrag start times on Server 2012

    I think it's great that by default Server 2012 is going to defrag all my drives on a weekly basis.  But how can I access the scheduling portion?  Is it possible to change start times, or give a window that it can start in?  I have some drives
    where the data on them is only not used during certain hours, so it would make the most sense to have it start the defrag during that window.

    Hi,
    The ScheduledDefrag Properties as below:
