Metric Migration tool from XI R2 to XI3.1

Hello,
To Migrate Dashboard Metrics from BO XI R2 SP4.5 to BO XI3.1, is there a tool available or will have to recreate the metrics in BOXI3.1?
Thanks,
Ashwin.

Make a copy of the R2 PM repository and then use this copy in your 3.1 environment.  Once you create the connection and add it on the Dashboard and Analytic setup page you'll get a prompt to upgrade it.

  • Forms and reports migration tools from oracle and other vendors

Can someone through some light about the migration tools available on the market for the migration of oracle forms 10g to 11g?

are there any tools for doing this activity like oracle recommended tools?
Your question is unclear.  As IK mentioned, the only tool you need is a new version of Oracle Forms/Reports.  Open your v10 modules in a v11 Builder and select Save.  You now have a v11 module.  Doing a "Compile All PL/SQL" before saving is a good idea, but not required.  The Builders and utilites provided with the version 11 installation are the only supported tools for upgrading your application.  If you are trying to do the conversion of many Forms files in a scripted manner, you can use the Forms compiler in a script.  Generating new "X" files will also update the source modules (fmb, mmb, pll).  See MyOracleSupport Note 955143.1
Also included in the installation in the Forms Migration Assistant.  Although it is more useful to people coming from older versions, it can also be used to move from v10 to 11.  It allows you to select more than one file at a time.  Documentation for this utility can be found in the Forms Upgrade Guide.

  • Migration tool from AD LDS to AD 2008

    Hello,
In my enterpise we need to migrate Users and Groups from AD LDS (1 instance with OS : Windows 2008 R2) to AD 2008.
I can do that with LDIFDE but we have to migrate the user password also (LDIFDE can't extract the userpassowrd).
Is there a tool that can do that (like ADMT with PES "Password Export Server Service") but it works only with AD (not ADLDS) ?
    Thank you for your help.

So far I know password change notification service (PCNS) that ILM/IIFP/FIM relay on for sync passwords only applies to AD DS.
How ever what I'm 100% sure on is that passwords are not extracted and synchronized, instead they are captured by the Password Filter when a user changes the password. So even if it would have applied to AD LDS all users had to change their password before
they would be picked up, with other words there is NO way to extract the password from AD LDS or AD for that matter (un less you turned on reversible encryption e.g. the storage of clear-text passwords)

  • Any information of the migration tool from RSP?

Adobe has promissed a tool for converting the setting in RSP to as close as possible look in LR. This would be an excellent start to my migration to LR.
Any info on how this tool is going to work?
Will it be availble next week together with LR v1.0?

But that's not the point. It doesn't matter how much lightroom costs.
We have not asked adobe to buy pixmantec what lead to the discontinuation of RSP. The conversion-tool along with the free LR license was obviously promised to keep the RSP community calm.
    > I've had very, very expensive software (>$40,000) delayed by more than a year from original planned release date.
Well - that's bad project management as well. Let me assure you, I'm resposible for it-projects much larger than what you mentioned. And high on the list of my goals is not to annoy my customers. This goes along with transparent planning and sticking to promises, schedules and budget. And if - for what reason ever - I have to postpone a milestone transparent information politics is most important and is the only way thay might lead to understanding on the customer side.
    But maybe that's just me.

  • Error while installing Migration Tool kit for SAP BPC7.0

    Hi all,
We are implementing SAP Business Planning and Consolidation Migration Process to BPC 7.0.
We are trying to installin Migration Tool Kit. In this kit we are having two set up files - one for BPCMigrationClient and another for BPCMigrationServer.
When i am trying to install the BPCMigrationServer set up file it diaplays a screen which says - Enter the service type accounts.- it has the following items - 1. System Admin ID, 2. password, 3. Admin ID, 4. Admin Password, 5. User ID, 6. User Password.
    1. System Admin ID already has the id ( through which i have logged on to the system). This option is non editable.
    2. password: gives option to type in the password.
3, 4, 5, 6 options are disabled and are blank. we are not able to edit them or write anything in them.
After entering the password when clicked on next , it gives us message saying Invalid Admin ID (3). But the problem here is that the 3,4,5 and 6 options are disabled. We cannot write anything in them. We are not able to install the migration tool kit because of this.
Can anyone help us out in solving this issue.
    Thanks,
    Madhav

CAn you precise also what Migration tool are you using?
Migration from 5.1 to SAP BPC 7.0 NW?
In that case when you are speaking about the installation about what part are you speaking?
I think actually you are speaking about the migration tool from 4.2 to 7.0 Microsoft version .
In that case you can install the mIgration tool just with SAP BPC sys admin users and you have to input the password for that user. Sys admin user for BPC is usually the user used for installation of SAP BPC server.
Any way I suggest to follow the Migration tool training document and there you will find all the information necessary.

  • Migrating WLC from existing WCS to another WCS

    Dear tecahers:
We support a campus with 8 WLC with 600 APs managed by our own WCS.
Recently we are going to support a new site. They have 4 WLC with about 250 APs managed by another WCS.
What we want to do is migrate 4 WLC with 250 APs from their WCS to our own WCS, thus we can use our own WCS to manage all the WLC and APs.
My question is How can we migrate these 4 WLC from the existing WCS to our own WCS with the configuration and maps?
Any help would be really appreciated.
    Regards,
    Steven

Do you have enough licenses on the new WCS for the additional access points you plan to add ? As for migration, I recall there arent any migration tools from wcs to wcs. I recall there being tools for WLSE to WCS. Depending on how many maps you have, it shouldnt take all that long to import maps and place aps.

Any recommendations for mail migration tools from GroupWise (2012) and Lotus notes into Google mail (or) O365? Few comments from experiences and tips would also be nice.

I do not think that (permissibility, etc.) was the original statement.
The original statement was that, in one person's opinion, it's kind of
    tacky to do this.
The irony in this is probably that of all the products of all the
companies out there, Novell's GroupWise has been one of the easiest
proprietary products to migrate from, and Novell made it easy by providing
connectors to other tools which were almost exclusively used for migrating
    to competing products.
Still, I agree with the original sentiment. Asking the old vendor for
tools to migrate to the new vendor seems (IMO) tacky, and if I was ever in
that position (migrating to a new vendor) and the new vendor did not
provide tools to help with that migration, I'd have to wonder about either
the logic of my plan or the logic of my choice of new vendor to implement
    the plan.
Step 1: Migrate stuff to new vendor: Fail
    Step 2: ???
    Step 3: Dust off resumé.
    Good luck.

  • Party migration tool

We are trying party migration tool for first time.
Am facing many issues regarding these tool. I have few issues
1.Is it mandatory to run these tool from cd?
2.In the document it was there to create a temp db or migration db do we just need to create a empty temp data base or do we need to have anything?
3.where should i run these tool in source machine or in target machine?
4.Do we need to have same domains on both machines?
I need help in making these tool work me.

    Hi,
You must run the Party Migration Tool from the CD. You should not copy the tool executable to a separate location and then run.
You must run the Party Migration Tool from the same computer where you inserted the CD or copied the CD locally. You should not run the tool over the network share of the CD drive.
You must run the Party Migration Tool on a computer that has BizTalk Server Administration console installed.
As a best practice approach, Microsoft recommends that you create a temporary database and not use an existing database to which the Party Migration Tool will copy the migrated EDI application settings. You need to
    create a new database.
    For all other consideration. Refer:
Considerations Before Using the Party Migration Tool

  • Tool to migrate configurations from Dev to Prod

Is there a tool to migrate configurations from one Oracle environment to another? For instance, to move a flexfield setup I created in Development environment to our Production environment. Both systems are the same version. I just didn't want to re-create configurations we have done in Dev into Prod by hand again.
    Thanks.

We use Mercury Deliver for our migrations. It used to be called Chainlink, then Kintana and now Mercury. Its been purchased by HP so it is probably due for another name change.
We use it for all types of migrations that can be done with FNDLOAD and WFLOAD. It is also used to migrate packages, forms, reports, 'C' code, etc. It is completely customizable so when it didn't have a migration object for OA Framework extensions, we built one.
It is very powerfull (also expensive). Takes a bit to setup but once it is configured it is very usefull. I would not recommend it for a small installation with only a few migrations but in envionments where there is a great deal of change it does pay for itself rather quickly.

  • How to migrate Master Data (Rule set etc.) from GRC 5.3 to 10.1 without using the "Migration Tool"

    Greetings,
We are currently on GRC 5.3 SP 18 (Java ONLY) and migrating to GRC 10.1. I referred the Migration Guide which outlines that GRC 5.3 needs to be upgraded to SP 20 as pre-requisite for using the "Migration Tool" . Our BASIS team is reluctant to perform this upgrade from SP 18 to SP 20.
Having said thus, I'm exploring options of migrating data from 5.3 to 10.1 without using the "Migration Tool:.
    Rule set Migration:
I'm in the process of preparing the 9 different files (listed below) and later utilize the "Upload Rule" option for migrating the Rule set data from 5.3 to 10.1.
While I'm able to gather data for most of the files I'm not sure how can I obtain the data pertaining to the two files (Function Actions and Function Permissions) underlined and highlighted in Red below.
    1. Business Process
    2. Function
    3. Function Business Process
    4. Function Actions
    5 .Function Permissions
    6. Rule Set
    7. Risk
    8. Risk Description
    9. Risk Rule Set Relationship
    10. Risk Owner Relationship
Can someone please enlighten me and share their experience with regards to this exercise. Really appreciate your help !
    - Janantik.

I have done this successfully before.  Because you are having issues, I would NOT recommend using the migration tool to move the ruleset.  Instead:
    1. Download the ruleset files from 5.3
    2. The 5.3 tcode-permission file, which defines which tcode permissions from SU24 need to be checked during risk analysis, needs to be split into the two files you mention above in red.
FUNCTION_ACTION : this file represents S_TCODE objects and TCD fields mapped to each function (Function to Tcode relationship).  In the 5.3 file, you will filter on object S_TCODE and field TCD, and you will get a complete list that now represents "FUNCTION_ACTION".  BUT instead of having all the jumbled permission info, you will just have 3 columns: Function - Tcode - Status.
    3. The remaining permissions that are left over, after taking out the S_TCODE -TCD items, represent the "FUNCTION_PERMISSION" file in GRC 10.
    4. Manually create the excel spreadsheets for each file.
    5. Copy and past each sheet to a unique .txt file.
    6. Upload the ruleset manually through SPRO-->GRC-->Access Control-->Access Risk Analysis-->SoD Rules-->Upload SoD Rules.
    7. Select each file and then upload to the correct Logical Group.
This is a huge pain, but it works.  Let me know how this goes and if you need any assistance.
    -Ken

  • When using the migrate tool to migrate from windows to mac, can you use ethernet to connect the computers to each other?

When using the migrate tool to migrate from windows to mac, can you use ethernet to connect the computers to each other? In the Migration tool, I was only given the option of choosing the computer when it appeared on the same network, and didn't see an option to connect them to each other. Even though they're both connected to the same network with a wired connection, the migration is painfully slow.

Yes. The following quotation is from About Windows Migration Assistant
These are the preferred network connections, in order:
Use a CAT6-certified Ethernet cable that is in good condition to connect the Ethernet port of the PC directly to the Ethernet port of the Mac or Ethernet adaptor (USB or Thunderbolt). You shouldn't use an Ethernet cable that has any kinks in it or is missing connector tabs.
Use CAT6-certified Ethernet cables that are in good condition to connect the Mac and PC to your home network router/hub/switch. You shouldn't use an Ethernet cable that has any kinks in it or is missing connector tabs.
For wireless, use the fastest wireless signal possible (802.11n 5Ghz). Try to have the PC, Mac, and the wireless access point all in the same room close to each other.

    Hi Krishna,
As you are not upgrading your version but you are migrating from one BPC platform to the other, you need to follow all the rules of installing fresh SAP BPC version. As you have not specified from which version you are migrating and to which version, you can refer to the following link for installations and upgrades (You need to login using your S-user ID):
