I am not able to refresh a metric twice in a day. Say i have a emp table n a analytic of sum on sal. When i insert one more row of 500 . When i refresh my metric it is not relecting the increase. Please help me

This seems to be caused by the screen being warmer than your finger tip when the phone has been in your pocket.
Solution: quickly blow on the screen and then slide to answer!

I have a daily calendar setup for the finnacial year 01/04/08 to 31/03/09 set up in Time Config.
When setting up my metrics i selected the option to stop at current period, which only gives values up to yesterday.
Taking off the stop at current period creates values up until 31/03/2009, most of which are blank. When these are displayed in IMT's etc you get all the blanks on the report and a little bit of data for the beginning of the year. A complete purge and refresh needs to be done to get new values each day.
Does anyone know of a way of getting it to run up to and including today?

The idea is that until the period actually ends why would you want to refresh the metric - and thats why it defaults to stop at the last completed period rather than "current".To get around this you need to play about with the "stop metric calculation" part and use the rules engine to mess with the CI_PROBE table.You create your daily metric with Stop at Current Period turned off and set a fixed end date to allow the metric to refresh "today". when you refresh, it will back fill and obviously refresh until today. Thats great but of course if you click refresh tomorrow nothing will happen.So what you then do is schedule rule to refresh a metric refresh daily at the desired time, and add an action before the metric refresh action that uses the Execute sql action. in this you connect up to the EPM repository tables (all the CI_* stuff) and update the CI_PROBE table by adding a day to the stop field... think its called end_date - or possible stop_date...I recall doing something similar for a customer that wanted a metric to be refreshed every hour (hence overwriting the last hours value and only sotring the value of the last hour of the day in the metric history) obviously EPM isnt designed to work houry but using freesql rules did the job. The other option is to mess about with the servers clock of course - but thats a bit hacky for most

Problem on scheduling metric refresh

Good day everyone:
I have a problem with dashboard builder, the problem is this, I was trying to schedule a metric refresh but when i see the history of the schedule i see that the status is "Failed" and when i review the detail, the message is this:
"The administrator has disabled the execution of this kind of programs" or something like that in spanish is "El administrador desactivo la ejecucion de los programas de este tipo"
I looked for a solution and i found this:

But the solution mentioned there is for BOBJ R2 and i am using BOXI 3.1 SP3 so i couldnt solve my problem.
Can anyone help me to solve this problem??? i need to be able to schedule a metric refresh as soon as possible.

David Mau you are my savior, i have fixed the problem (almost) but now im getting this message:
Error to initiate the application because cpi18n.dll file could not be found. (or something like that)
Do you know something about this???
The schedule runs successfully but the error appears every time the schedule finishes. this means, if i schedule a metric refresh to run every hour, after 4 hours i will have 4 error message windows on my server so imagine what hapen after a few days U_U
I hope you can help me with this, but if you don't, anyway i really appreciate your answer.

Hi All.
I managed to fix the problem by re-deploying the ASFScheduleProgram. I did this
by deleting the AFScheduleProgram from Public\Performance Manager directory.
I then went to Dashboard and Analytics->Dashboard Builder->Schedule and this then
recreated a new version of the AFScheduleProgram.
Obviously i had to re-create all the scheduled tasks again but luckily we have this
documented well in our environment.

Why would I have to download latest verison adobe flash player twice in one day when I already had?

   I play a game called Castville and I play on Zynga.com on mozilla firefox. About a week ago after
going into and playing castlville dozens of times I got a message saying I needed to download the latest verison of adobe flash even though I just downloaded it with no message or problem just moments before. I had to leave and then went back in that is when I saw the message about the download. The problem was I had to download it twice in one day one right after the other. I downloaded and I still had the same message well I downloaded again but I should have never had to download it all since it was already oin my computer now there are problems with the game and at the bottom of the screen I see
on occaison the abode flash sign flash or perhaps flicker once or twice and this it. Since I downloaded it twice abode had been crashing I get this picture of a plug in unplugged and a line above that says that I have to reloaded the game.   So can someone please tell me why I had to download abode flash player twice in one day when I already had it and 2 why it is now causing the game I have been playing for a couple weeks before I downloaded twice to start sicking and sometimes crashing.     Please help

   Should uninstall waterfox and adobe flash player then reinstall? I like waterfox better than google chrome.

Need to schedule PC twice in a day

As per new requirment i need to run my process chain twice in a day, for this i can do manually but i want run automatically. so how to do this/

This could have been easily acheived, if only the requirement is tweaked a bit.
The current timings that u mentioned are like 6:30:00 and 18:00:00, the difference is 11 hrs 30 mins.
If you can make the difference to 12 hours, i.e make the first shcedule at 6:00:00 so that the difference would be come 12 hours. or change the second schedule to 18:30:00 by having the first schedule still at 6:30:00 even in this case the difference is 12 hours
Case1: 6:00:00 and 18:00:00
Case2: 6:30:00 and 18:30:00
If you can change the shcedule runs to any of the above cases, the solution is simple.
As, i said in my prev post maintain the value in Other period as "12" hours. and schedule the process chain with the time 6:00, so that the process run the second time exactly at 18:00 and again at 06:00 next day.
This simply means the process run every 12 hours and as per our timing requirement. There will not be any need of manual intervention and the chain runs exactly twice a day. You don't even need to reschedule manually. Just schedule once and the cycle continues...
As far as i'm concerened this can be the easiest way to implement the requirement.

I'm having a similar issue with my 4s. I did the update yesterday, restoring as a new phone. That afternoon, immediately after finishing the update, the battery was draining at about 1% a minute, with the only usage being listening to an audio book through my bluetooth headset for about 15 minutes, and simply carrying it in my purse for about 30 minutes.
I tweaked all the usual battery maximizing settings, charged it back to 100% and it was behaving normally the rest of the evening. I did not charge overnight, and it was at 47% this morning -- typical for when I forget to put on airplane mode and it spends the night searching in vain for a cell signal.
While driving to an appointment I charged it on my car charger. It got to 97%. While waiting at my appointment for ~ an hour I listened to an audiobook through the headseat and played a couple of games. Battery got down to 5% in that time, and the phone was hot. Not excessively so, I don't think, but definitely way above normal.
Given that I installed the 7.1 update by restoring as a new phone from the get-go, would your recommend I do it over, or try something else?

My Z10 shut off itself almost twice in a day and its happen everyday....

Hi guys,
I just wanna share and say that I'm totally dissapointed with this new product, its not common for gadget that we called smartphone. My Z10, after about a month usage, it started to get trouble and error every where which are :
- The screen always goes dreary slowly and then its shut Off, and I must remove the battery more than three times, then the device start again.
- BBM offenly restart by itself, and Re Invite again in all groups BBM I have.
- the Camera suddenly stop working and the device goes Off
- The signal is totally unstable
- The battery is suck, twice until three times a day I must charge
- etc.
That is really annoying and not worthed for a gadget that we called smartphone, actually I like with the new style "peek to see the hub motifications" but all that problems above really annoying.
Please is there anyone that can help me with that issues. Thanx.

OS 10.1 is the process of being released this week and over the next few weeks.
I'd upgrade to that, or if you cannot do so now, I would recommend wiping and reloading the most recent available to you.

Multiple Charges. Twice on different days and one is pending with a Trial Fee

I have been charged not once, not twice, but three times for the month July. All charges were deducted on different days. It is impossible for my card to be charged for multiple accounts, for this is the only account I've created.

I am creating a Sliced Metric based on some dimension define in setup.
While defining dimension in setup i found two things
1)object for dimension name
2)object for dimension code
can anyone please tell me the significance of each with respect to created dimension or metric based on that dimension or on the result set.
one thing more i am not able to refresh the sliced metric as my calendar start from 5 april 2007 and i am refreshing the metric on 6 april 2007 but then also it is not able to refresh it can please anyone tell me what can be the possible reason for that or where i am getting wrong with.

use deski or webi and build a query using the meausre (and if applicable) filter object from the metric universe your using to build your metrics. chances are this will show you why your metric is generating invalid SQL based on your universe design.if this doesnt help you may also want to try turning the trace file on for the metric engine and hitting refresh again - this should also help highlight where the problem is.

Display a metric differently only on last day of the month.

Have a Daily transaction fact where unit cost of product is stored at a day/part num /business unit level.
When we drag and drop date column and unit cost in the report like below we will have
Date      cost
Sep29     $10
sep30     $12
Oct1       $12
Oct2       $14
..........ans so on
The source sustem program runs on last day of the month around 8pm for setting up cost to reflect on 1st of every month
But the nighly OBI load ( Runs at 2am every day) when incrementally updating Sep30 data picks up $12 from the erp and populates in OBI.
But actually speaking, on Sep30 the cost was $10.
There is no way of running the ERP program to run afer OBI load. Hence we need an expression in the RPD (not answers) saying
when last day of the month (any month) the standard cost must be a previous day value.All other days the same value should be returned.
Is this possible without impacting report performance ?
So, when we drag and drop date and cost value the above report should change as
Date        Cost
sep29     $10
sep30     $10
Oct1       $12
Oct2       $14
Oct30     $12.5
Oct31     $12.5
Nov1      $13.5

You can achieve the above requirement for current month alone with below steps:
The solution requires to have a union report
First part of the report will have Date and Cost fields with a report level date filter, Date NOT IN (TIMESTAMPADD( SQL_TSI_DAY , -(1), TIMESTAMPADD( SQL_TSI_MONTH , 1, TIMESTAMPADD( SQL_TSI_DAY , DAYOFMONTH( CURRENT_DATE) * -(1) + 1, CURRENT_DATE))))
Second part of the report will have Date and Cost fields with a report level date filter Date IN (TIMESTAMPADD( SQL_TSI_DAY , -(1), TIMESTAMPADD( SQL_TSI_MONTH , 1, TIMESTAMPADD( SQL_TSI_DAY , DAYOFMONTH( CURRENT_DATE) * -(1) + 1, CURRENT_DATE))))In the second part of the report,
Change the column formula for Date to display only Current_Date
Change the column formula for Cost field with FILTER(Cost USING Date = Current_Date-1)

Reports in EPM version 16 to be refreshed twice to see the values in the Report

Dear All,
We are on BPC 10 and EPM version 16. When we try to refresh the Reports in EPM 16, the first time, it does not bring any values, but when we refresh the second time, we get the values in the Report. Has anyone faced the similar issue like this, please let me know how it can be solved? When i execute the same report in EPM 13, the report gets the values in the first refresh itself.

Thanks for your help but as per the Note, I would like to check if this will help for my Report. As per the Note it says,
Resolution
A solution is to select the member Context(XXXX) in the 'EPM - Member selector' for the dimension initialized in page axis for the input schedule instead of referring to Sheet1 in the EPMOlapMember formula.
Another solution is to implement a macro via a button in the second sheet that contains the input schedule as follows:
Point 1: I have 6 sheets in this workbook, The Input Sheet which you see below is created by using a MACRO. Going to each sheet and changing the context would not help our users because they need to just refresh from the Input sheet.
Point 2: It says, to go to each sheet and create a MACRO which is also not feasible for our users. They require to have it in the Input sheet only.

AP Checks printed twice on different days

Good Morning Gurus-
I am stumped on this one. My client discovered that a payment run from a week before printed twice however cannot determine how when this happened. The original payment run happened on June 13 and we believe it reprinted over the weekend or on Monday because we got another batch of same checks. Our checks are printed offsite.
How can I research this because I see our spool from Friday but no duplicates since.
