Metronome change while recording question...

I can't seem to figure out how to change the metronome from clicking in 1/4 rather than 1/16 while i'm recording. How can I adjust this? Also where can I adjust the volume of the metronome?

I've messed around a little with the metronome before and am fairly efficient with it, however, I still haven't figured out how to change the timing for it. For example, if there's a time change in the middle of the song. Like if a song started in 4/4 and then switched to 3/4. Is there anyway to switch a metronome's timing like that?
Well, if the metronome is only sounding downbeats, 4/4 to 3/4 wouldn't evoke any change necessary, per say. And inside the metronome settings, there are velocity level parameters, so, for instance, all "beat 1's" could have a louder hit than the other subdivisions.
This is how I have mine set, and in the case of 4/4/ to 3/4, the beat on bar one is accented, so even when the time signature changed, beat 1 would still be felt, or easily identified.
That being said, when I need a metronome that has specific attributes beyond the capabilities of KlopfGeist, I simply load a custom made CLICK exs instrument, and create a MIDI click. That way, I can get as customized as necessary.

  • Playback while recording question - help!

    Hi, all!
Just started using GB, so forgive me if this has been addressed, but I'd really appreciate the help. Say I have two tracks - I record one guitar track, then I want to record vocals while listening to that guitar track (to sing along). However, when I do this, obviously, the microphone for vocals picks up the guitar track being played on my computer, thus making the guitar louder and the vocals buried beneath what is essentially now TWO tracks of guitar. Is there a way to play back a track only in headphones while recording a new track to it?
    Thanks so much!

Yes. Plug headphones into the computer, just like the pros do it. Just make sure the built-in output is selected in GB Prefs>Audio/MIDI.

  • How do I turn the metronome off while recording and playing back?

    It's quite annoying ... And I am a newbie.

Use the spanner/wrench tool to set options. You can disable it altogether, use it for count ins only, or even change the tone/instrument.

  • Changing Chords while recording blue and green loops with Logic Express 9

My question is if it is possible to change Chord of the loops while recording them. Thank you in advance for answering this question

    hi,
    yes you can.
    Global>Chord.
i've found it works OK, within the limits of the ALs.
but, occasionally, it would misbehave and do weird transpositions, wrong octaves,
    etc.
this was in LP8, haven't tried it in LP9.

VSTS load test QUESTION : While recording the webPerformanceTest, is it is possible to clear / force to clear cache without stopping or closing the IE on recorder?
I am facing issue, while recording the webtest, our application first time loading any screen calls some requests and 2nd time when browsed the same information if it is available at cache then it will not
    call the requests again.
How can i force the VSTS to clear cache while recording, so that i can record those requests which gets called at the first time.
    Regards
    SatishK

    Hi SatishK,
    Thanks for your reply.
    >>but my question was while recording (During recording using web test recorder) i want to clear cache.
    Based on your issue,
I did some research about it,
but I still find the official document about it. Generally, I know that if we want to clear the web performance test by the
Cashe Control properties, so I think that it is not possible to clear the cashes when we are recording the web performance.
If you still want to this feature for web performance test, I suggest you could submit this feature request:

can send your idea there and people can vote. If you submit this suggestion, I hope you could post that link here, I will help you vote it.
    Thanks for your understanding.

  • Buffersize question while recording

    Hi
my buffersize is set to 1024, because this is good for my LiquidMix while Mixiing. But, how is it, while recording. Should I lower my buffersize setting therefor? Or is it enough to push the Low Latency Button?
I almost record first everything, and then start mixing.

You may be misunderstanding the function of buffer/buffer size.
There's one main reason, and two main applications you would want to use a low buffer setting.
To reduce latency (delay) when playing soft synthesizers from a MIDI controller.
To reduce latency when monitoring using Logic's software monitoring feature.
If you're recording using a 1024 buffer size I would venture a guess you're doing neither of the above... in which case, using the "Low Latency Button" will make no difference at all.

  • Labview software locking up while recording data. Code has not changed and used to work fine.

I am using labview 5.1 and DAQ 6.6. While recording data, which seems to work fine, the real-time plots simply stop and labview seems to lock up after about 30 seconds of reading data. The VI I am using I have been using for a long time and I have never had a problem like this before. I am really stumped as to why this happens.

    Yes do the jpg thing.
If I understand you correctly, the data makes to the file.
Double check the data in the file to make sure you are getting good values. Who knows, you may have a bad channel that is ggofing with you scales such that just can't see the data.
It start to plot and then suddenly it just goes away huh?

    Hi Anamika,
If you are running your query in Web Portal, it seems your web portal is not defined in RFC connection with system. Ask BASIS to connect it.
Also, You can run your report in RSRT with ABAP Web option and check if it is working on ABAP engine.

  • Changing The record in a Standard Table

    Hi,
I need to change the record which i had entered in the standard table.I can able to delete it by going in to the debugging mode but my question is how to change the record.
    Regards,
    Vijaya Lakshmi

To update the data of any table, go to transaction SE16N, type u201C&SAP_EDITu201D. It will activate SAP editing function.
    Esle.
Opern any record in SE16.Double click on the record so that all the fileds will be displayed in vertical format.
    start debugging by /H
change the value of "code" to "DELE" and execute.
Moreover if you want to do this in PROD environment, I would NOT use the SE16n way, due to dependencies, which can have unwanted effects (database inconsistencies). Although in this case (only Name of customer), it might not be as bad as it normally would be.

  • Change the recording level for recording with Thunderbolt-Firewire-Mixer

    Hey,
I just bought a PHONIC Helix Board 24 Universal for recording some music via Firewire.
Because my IMac has no Firewire-slot, I am using a Thunderbolt-Firewire-Adapter and a Firewire 400-800 cable.
If I try to record some music it sounds really horrible.
It seems that the reason is the recording level which can be changed while using the internal micro but not with firewire-Thunderbolt.
The recording level is set on max, resulting in overmodulation and noise.
Is there any way to adujust the recording level?
    Thank you in advance!

    Hello Jshen6,
Have you tried looking at the examples in LabVIEW under Hardware Input and Output>>Synchronization? The Analog Input-Synchronization.vi example shows you how to synchronize AI across multiple devices in various configurations and for various types of hardware. Would you mind listing what hardware you are using? Are all three devices taking the same data (voltage, strain, acceleration, etc)?

  • Change Data Capture: Unsubscribed column results in new change set record

I have an installation using Oracle 11g Change Data Capture in synchronous mode. As of writing, I have a single publication and a single subscription. The setup is pretty basic:
    PUB_TABLE
    PUB_ID*
    PUB_NAME*
    PUB_USELESS_FLAG
    * columns are included in both the PUBLICATION and the SUBSCRIPTION. The final column is of no consequence and is excluded from both the PUBLICATION and SUBSCRIPTION.
My problem is that any time PUB_USELESS_FLAG gets updated (even if no other columns are changed), a record is written to not only the change table but the change table view. The table in question has a significant number of transactions logged against it, but only a subset of those changes are of note to the subscriber (which is why the subscriber does not listen to every column). However, since the subscription is receiving records for every change to the source table, the result is an enormous amount of overhead as the subscriber is forced to sift through numerous records that are of no consequence.
I read the Change Data Capture manual for Oracle 11g; I could not find any reference to the observed functionality. Is this a consequence of using synchronous vs. asynchronous modes of capture? Is there an option to only receive changes on subscribed columns?
    Thanks in advance

Bring this to the top because I have the same question. This website (http://www.bikinfo.com/HTML/CDC/CDC_Article.html) makes it sound like this problem is unavoidable.
