Meu macbook air está lento e travando bastante. Preciso adquirir um antivírus melhor e um programa que faça a manutenção adequada. Qual serviço devo adquirir?

Alguém pode me indicar um antivírus para o macbook air OS X 10.7.5?

Can I mirroring my Macbook Air in to a Apple TV?
Posso espelhar meu Macbook Air no Apple TV?

Thanks for the reply John.  Checked ATV settings and the strength is 5 bars and everything is hitting 5GHz.  I turned off the bluetooth on the MBA because I did read that it can sometimes interefere with Wifi but that didn't make a difference.
I should also note that I have an Airport Express in the Living Room to extend the wifi network so the signal strength should be excellent.  But she only gets a fast wifi signal when she's in the room with the Airport Extreme.  Just doesn't make any sense.  My MacBook Pro has no adverse effects at all.  So it's definitely something to do with the MBA.
I'm going to run an update on everything and see if that helps.  If it still happens I'll do a hard reset on the Airport Extreme and reset the router as well.  We just added a landline with Comcast and wondering if that is effecting it.  It's a Panasonic DECT 6.0 Plus with bluetooth.  Maybe that's conflicting with it as well.

  • Meu macbook air parou de reconheçer USB apos instalação do OS X 10.8

Hello, after installing OS X 10.8 the only port of my Macbook Air has stopped working, for example if you connect a mouse he ascends more lights not working, if I put a cell phone he carries the battery pack does not open the memory card, ie nothing works, it just seems that ernegia works and not the data. I use Boot Camp and windows is the same thing, tested the peripherals on another computer and work normally.

I've found the solution by myself!!! However I'm not sure what was wrong from the very beginning... Maybe what was wrong was to manually copy the /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist file from one computer to the other.
Looking at the dmesg outputs I realized that en0 is asigned to the wifi and en2 was asigned to my old laptop usb-ethernet adapter. Then, looking at the preferences.plist file, en1 is something with bluetooth. So I thought... maybe the new laptop it is getting troubles because I didn't copied another file to assign the adapter to the en2 port (I presume now that this file is /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist, but not checked).
    So I did the following:
    - I took the new laptop and connected both usb-ethernet adapters with two live cables.
    - Incredibly, looking at the System Preferences > Network, it appeard the "cable disconnected" USB Ethernet in the list, but also it automatically created a new USB Ethernet connection as a Plug&Play behavior, but with the "cable connected". However this didn't work before by simply clicking on the "+" to create a new connection (always showed cabled disconnected).
    - Erased the old USB Ethernet connection and configured manually all the ip **** in the new one.
    - Disconnected both adapters, then connecting only one adapter works with the new automatically created USB Ethernet connection.
Technically speaking... the OS automatically created a new port en3 that is assigned to any of the adapters attached to the new laptop. The dmesg output looks ok and it doesn't show the considerRebuildOfPrelinkedKernel prebuild rebuild has expired message anymore.
I guess that I should erase the preferences.plist and NetworkInterfaces.plist and start again to confirm that the problem was to be lazy and try to copy the configurations from the old laptop to the new one by copying the file and not to write them manually... but well... another day.
    Hope it helps somebody else...
    ciao,

• I have Lightroom 5 installed on my MacBook Air but when I try to open the program I receive the message "An error occurred when attempting to change modules".  I uninstalled, emptied trash and re-installed but I continue to get the same message.

I have Lightroom 5 installed on my iMac which I downloaded (uploaded?) to my MacBook Air (via wi-fi) but unlike the iMac, I'm unable to use the program on the MacBook Air.  When I open the program on the iMac and click 'file', (as people using the program would know) there are 21 options - import pics, export, etc, etc - however, in the version on the MacBook Air, opening 'file' gives me four options - New Catalogue, Open Catalogue, Page Setup and Printer - and with that comes the pop-up message "An error occurred when attempting to change modules".  Any ideas please?

A forum thread from 3 years ago talking about LR 1.x which had this problem seems to need permissions fixed or new folders created with the corrected permissions.  You might try doing a repair permissions for your user and/or run LR as an administrator user.  I am a PC person so cannot tell you exactly how to do that.

  • Should I buy a MacBook Pro or a MacBook Air

I am currently going into high school and have saved enough money to buy a macbook. However, I am debating to if i should buy a MacBook Pro or a Macbook Air. I would use the laptop for these things
    1. Basic Microsoft programs(Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. for school)
    2. I will also be Parallels on my mac
    3. Light amount of gaming (League of Legends)
    4. Websurfing/Research ( usually with an abundance of pages open)
    5. Studying ( as any student would do)
    6. Video Watching
    7. Music
I am willing to upgrade the internals of the macbook but have a budget of about 1,250 dollars. Advice about which laptop to pick as well as what upgrades may need to be made for the internals will extremely help. Thank you

In addition to what Japib wrote
You might be able to shave $50 or so via education pricing at online Apple Store
Parallels has education pricing, ditto MS Office. Your school (district) might have some education prices for software.

  • How can I improve performance of macbook air

My MacBook Air seems ti be running slow:  Slow to start up, slow to start new programs, slow when running multiple tasks at the same time.
Here's how my machine is set up:
Processor  1.86 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory  2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
    OSX 10.8.2
Any suggestions or is this what i can expect?
    Thanks for any help.

Things You Can Do To Resolve Slow Downs
If your computer seems to be running slower here are some things you can do:
Start with a visit to: OS X Maintenance - MacAttorney.
Boot into Safe Mode then repair your hard drive and permissions:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions Pre-Lion
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
Repair the Hard Drive - Lion
Boot from your Lion Recovery HD. When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. If no errors are reported, then click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Restart your computer normally and see if this has helped any. Next do some maintenance:
    Suggestions for OS X Maintenance
For situations Disk Utility cannot handle the best third-party utility is Disk Warrior;  DW only fixes problems with the disk directory, but most disk problems are caused by directory corruption; Disk Warrior 4.x is now Intel Mac compatible.
OS X performs certain maintenance functions that are scheduled to occur on a daily, weekly, or monthly period. The maintenance scripts run in the early AM only if the computer is turned on 24/7 (no sleep.) If this isn't the case, then an excellent solution is to download and install a shareware utility such as Macaroni, JAW PseudoAnacron, or Anacron that will automate the maintenance activity regardless of whether the computer is turned off or asleep.  Dependence upon third-party utilities to run the periodic maintenance scripts was significantly reduced since Tiger.  These utilities have limited or no functionality with Snow Leopard or Lion and should not be installed.
OS X automatically defragments files less than 20 MBs in size, so unless you have a disk full of very large files there's little need for defragmenting the hard drive. As for virus protection there are few if any such animals affecting OS X. You can protect the computer easily using the freeware Open Source virus protection software ClamXAV. Personally I would avoid most commercial anti-virus software because of their potential for causing problems. For more about malware see Macintosh Virus Guide.
I would also recommend downloading a utility such as TinkerTool System, OnyX 2.4.3, or Cocktail 5.1.1 that you can use for periodic maintenance such as removing old log files and archives, clearing caches, etc.
For emergency repairs install the freeware utility Applejack.  If you cannot start up in OS X, you may be able to start in single-user mode from which you can run Applejack to do a whole set of repair and maintenance routines from the command line.  Note that AppleJack 1.5 is required for Leopard. AppleJack 1.6 is compatible with Snow Leopard. There is no confirmation that this version also works with Lion.
When you install any new system software or updates be sure to repair the hard drive and permissions beforehand.
Get an external Firewire drive at least equal in size to the internal hard drive and make (and maintain) a bootable clone/backup. You can make a bootable clone using the Restore option of Disk Utility. You can also make and maintain clones with good backup software. My personal recommendations are (order is not significant):
      1. Carbon Copy Cloner
      2. Data Backup
      3. Deja Vu
      4. SuperDuper!
      5. SyncTwoFolders
      6. Synk Pro
      7. Synk Standard
      8. Tri-Backup
Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQs on maintenance, optimization, virus protection, and backup and restore.
Additional suggestions will be found in Mac maintenance Quick Assist.
Referenced software can be found at CNet Downloads or MacUpdate.
    Additional Hints
Be sure you have an adequate amount of RAM installed for the number of applications you run concurrently. Be sure you leave a minimum of 10% of the hard drive's capacity as free space.
Add more RAM. If your computer has less than 2 GBs of RAM and you are using OS X Leopard or later, then you can do with more RAM. Snow Leopard and Lion work much better with 4 GBs of RAM than their system minimums. The more concurrent applications you tend to use the more RAM you should have.
Always maintain at least 15 GBs or 10% of your hard drive's capacity as free space, whichever is greater. OS X is frequently accessing your hard drive, so providing adequate free space will keep things from slowing down.
Check for applications that may be hogging the CPU:
Open Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder.  Select All Processes from the Processes dropdown menu.  Click twice on the CPU% column header to display in descending order.  If you find a process using a large amount of CPU time, then select the process and click on the Quit icon in the toolbar.  Click on the Force Quit button to kill the process.  See if that helps.  Be sure to note the name of the runaway process so you can track down the cause of the problem.
Often this problem occurs because of a corrupted cache or preferences file or an attempt to write to a corrupted log file.

  • Advice: How to speed up Macbook Air (2010)

Under Lion my 2010 (HDD) Macbook Air has been intolerably slow. It could take 10 minutes to start a program. When connecting to a projector, it could likewise take 10 minutes for it to resize windows during which it was unresponsive. I have been about to hurl it in the trashcan because this computer was just such an impediment to my work. But now I found the solution: don't run Safari. I had long suspected 2G ram combined with a slow HDD was the culprit. I tried to minimize the number of programs open, but let Safari run permanently. But it turns out Safari uses enormeous amounts of memory, and it has a tendency to just grow and grow its memory grab. Now, I quit Safari when I want to run other programs, and after this the computer is merely slow, not intollerably so. It is annoying to always have to quit Safari, but at least it makes the computer useful.
Any better suggestions than always quitting Safari?

The fact is that Mac OS X is good at of taking care of itself, if there are performance issues, there are a couple of things you can check:
Check your Login Items under System Preferences > Accounts to see what you have automatically launching. Also check /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Users/yourusername/Library/LaunchAgents/ for items launching at startup
Launch Activity Monitor and change "My Processes" at the top to "All Processes". Then see what may be consuming your OS X system resources.
Check the System Memory tab at the bottom of Activity Monitor to see if you have excessive "page outs", a sign that you may benefit from more RAM.
Check if you are running any poor Mac anti-virus programs as they may take large resources.
If you don't want to do these manually or the above checks still won't help, let the MacBook speed up tool http://www.speedupmacbook.com/ perform a health check of your Mac and fix relevant issues.
    Best regards!

  • Youtube video speed-up with Macbook Air 13"

When i am watching a youtube video, but go into another program for a few moments, as soon as I go back to youtube, the video hasn't kept up with the audio, and the video has to fast-forward to catch up. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
    Thanks.

Why in the f uck is no one answering me. I pay 1300 god **** dollars for a macbook air and I can't even go into a youtube video, go into another program, and not have the video f uck up? Jesus Christ even my ****** 400 dollar ASUS I had before my mac didn't have this f ucking problem. Steve Jobbs croaks and now no one can answer my question?

  • New macbook air (2008) hinge installed; is this new hinge the same or a revision to address the problem? What should I afford to prevent a repeat of this?

I recently had my first macbook air (2008)'s hinge replaced by Apple after I found out about the quality program apple had for the supposedly weak hinges (had no idea until a genius happened to tell me about it while discussing my newest purchase (the new MBA); I use my old air as a backup anyhow).
My concern is whether or not this replacement Apple installed has been revised to address durability issues (i.e. a redesigned hinge) or simply the exact replacement hinge that originally shipped with the air in 2008?
Also, while we're on the topic of macbook air hinges; how should I make sure this does not happen again to either of my macbook airs (I recently got the i5 revision)? More specifically how far should I open the lid.
    Thanks!

My understanding of the hinge issue is that the primary reason for the issue was the barrel assembly enclosure couldn't handle the constant repetition of opening and closing past the acceptable usage angle for the lid. Over time and with enough force applied it would just give out and then the tension coils inside would break out through the relatively thin plastic enclosure.
I do not believe anything was changed with the design or materials when the machines are serviced. The newer models with the "2nd generation" body styling fix this issue more than anything. Not to mention Apple shifted the exhaust vents for the fan to a more suitable place than the bottom of it.

  • Help! Can't add MacBook Air as managed client

    Hi,
Running 10.6.8 Server, with just a few managed clients, all of them running Lion now.  I manage things like TimeMachine, Printer settings, and Software Update.  Managed computers include a 2009 MacBook Air and a 2009 Mac Mini.  Works nice.
We just bought a brand new MacBook Air and when I try to add it to the ComputerGroup that is managed, it won't boot. I identify it by its MAC address as a Computer.  It gets stuck during bootup and doesn't get it out of that mode.
I need to force it to shut down, remove it as a member of the managed ComputerGroup, then restart it.
Why would my others boot up OK and not this machine?
    Thanks
    Alain

I haven't trained on Lion Server yet, but I do know that they've changed the way computers handle profiles and management in Lion.  Both client and server.  It wouldn't surprise me if that's part of the problem.
That said, I'd weed out hardware failure as well.  Boot the Macbook Air with the Command and R key pressed.  Run the disk utility and check if the hard drive is working properly.  Do a disk first aid check etc.
If all checks out, then likely it's a problem with the managed prefs.  Try and reformat the main drive on the Macbook Air and try to duplicate the problem with the same result.  In otherwords, from a fresh install, bind the computer to the server and try to set up the managed prefs agian.  If the problem is duplicated, then it's indeed a compatibility issue with Lion Client and SL Server.
