MF imageclass 4350 (black &white laser printer) compatible with WINDOWS 8.1?

MF imageclass 4350 (black &white laser printer) compatible with WINDOWS 8.1?   WINDOWS 8.1 recognizes I have printer attached, but it says flatly "No driver!"  I have run all the drivers from CANON and then attached the printer.   But, still it doesn't work!   Nothing from CANON sez" SETUP...........

Hi mybrojer.
I will be glad to assist you.
The file that you download from the Canon website is .ZIP file.  When you select [RUN], it unpacks the setup folder.  Please disconnect the printer from the computer and follow the instructions below to install the printer:
Open your [Downloads] folder.
You will see two icons with the name: MF4350_MFDrivers_W64_us_EN.exe. Double-click on the yellow folder icon with this name.
In the folder you will see two listings for [Setup].  Double-click on the [Setup] that has the type as [Application].
The "MF Drivers Setup Wizard" will open.  Proceed through the steps and restart the computer.
After restarting the computer, connect the USB cable and allow the installation to complete.
Print a document.
I hope that this information is helpful to you.  Should the error persist, or your need further assistance, please contact us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666).

  • Recommendations for wireless mono laser printer compatible with OS 10.6.7?

I am looking for a wireless mono laser printer compatible with Snow Leopard OS10.6.7. This is to be shared by 4 Macs in a small office. We are connected to the internet via DSL modem (2 wired, 2 wireless), and communicate with the Bonjour network. We have a Time Capsule, but are not using that for a server at this time. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

How long is a piece of string?
There's a myriad of compatible printers that meet your given criteria, but that's mostly because you haven't been very specific about your needs... 'compatible with 10.6.7' is just one of many considerations.
For a start, what's your budget? That may narrow the field considerably.
Then what's your expected print run? If you're printing tens of thousands of pages per month your needs are way different from someone printing one or two pages a day (or week!). There's a reason why printer manufacturers list a 'duty cycle' on their spec sheets - it tells you what they think it's capable of handling so that you don't under or over-spec your printer.
And 'duty cycle' is way more than just the speed per page - it's how quickly the components wear out and need replacing. If you print 10,000 pages per month then the manufacturer has to build using higher-grade components that can run for hundreds of thousands of pages before servicing/replacing (and I'm talking here of things like fusers, belts, and the like, not consumables like ink and toner).
On the other hand there's no point in the manufacturer using high-grade components that can handle 1,000,000 cycles in a printer that's printing 100 pages a month - the printer, your computer and probably even you would be obsolete way before those components wore out.
Then you need to consider input capacity. If you're printing a lot you'd probably appreciate high-capacity input bins (so you don't have to walk over to the printer every hour to refill the tray).
What about duplex? Do you want to be able to print double-sided (either now or in the future)?
Since this is a small office, do you want other multi-function features such as fax/scan/copier?
These questions (and probably more) will go a long way to identifying the 'right' printer for your needs. As it stands, though, there really isn't enough data to offer any advice.

  • Printer compatible with Windows 2000 and Windows 8 operating system?

My office needs to access a terminal server hosted offsite.  The terminal server uses Windows 2000.  My laptop is Windows 8.   Since I upgraded my laptop I am no longer able to print.  Do they make a computer that is compatible with both versions of Windows?  Is there a fix?  I should also mention, I purchased a new HP and it wouldn't work either.  augh!

Windows 2000 has been successfully tested with the AT interface card. The file: "Win2000Issues.rtf" (located in the "nifbus" directory) illustrates how to install the AT-FBUS interface card under the Windows 2000 platform. However, the PCMCIA-FBUS card is not supported at this time. In order to use the software under Windows 2000 the "MFC42.dll" file must be in the same folder as the Configurator, otherwise display problems may be experienced.
Windows ME has also been tested with both the AT and PCMCIA interface boards and appears to work well. Additionally, the Configurator software has proven to be stable under ME.

  • Is Photosmart A532 compact printer compatible with windows 8?

I recently purchased a new computer that came with window 8 OS and I am unable to install my HP photosmart A532 compact printer. I have visited the HP Support site and downloaded the driver that matched my computer settings, but when I run the .exe file I get a pop-up message that says download the latest driver. When I click on it, it sends me back to the HP Support site driver page where I originally installed the driver -- an endless loop. I have downloaded other versions of the driver just to see if it would work and it doesn't. I have also downloaded the doctor software to help resolved the issue and it doesn't detect my printer (I have checked that all cables are connected). My only deduction is that even though HP says it has windows 8 drivers, it really doesn't.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello wolfgrimm
    Welcome to the forums!
First off you do want to start off by uninstalling the any printer software that has been installed. Please check Program and Features, for anything listed for the printer, right click and uninstall.  After this with the USB cable still plugged in, you will need to remove the entries from Device Manager. I have included the steps below for you.
    Go to device manager.
    1. Open up the Universal serial bus controllers list
    2. Right click on USB printing support, and click Uninstall
    3. Right click on each USB Composite Device, and select Properties
    4. Click on the Details tab
    5. Change the Property to Hardware Ids
    6. Look for any composite device the has a VID_03
    7. For the ones that have a VID_03, right click on the composite device, and uninstall
    8. Unplug the USB Cable
After this you will need to try install the software again. I have included the link 'HP Photosmart Full Feature Software and Drivers'. Please download and run the installation software. Only plug the USB cable in, when the installation software informs you to.
Please let me know if you are able to successfully install the software, thank you.

  • Printer compatible with Windows 98

I have a computerized embroidery business operating on Windows 98 and cannot upgrade operating systems with my embroidery program, unless I start my entire business over again; not willing to invest the time and money to do so; love it the way that it is, but my printer has issues.  I get an error message that says "The print cartridge cradle cannot move."  I cannot see anything that would obstruct the movement.   If I fool with it long enough, I can get it to print one page and then the same message appears.  Suggestions or ideas for what I can do?    If the problem cannot be rectified, is there a printer that I can get that will work with the Windows 98 system I have?

    Hey @EISUE,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you are getting the message 'print cartridge cradle cannot move' when printing from your Windows 98 computer to your HP Deskjet 932c Printer. I would like to assist you today with resolving this issue. Now I see that you have already checked inside the printer for any obstructions that could be causing this error, to no avail. At this point I am going to run you through some additional carriage troubleshooting steps.
To start, can I please have you click here. Once the website opens, please follow Solution two, Solution three, Solution four, Solution five, and Solution six. This includes any sub-steps under the listed Solutions.
The error that you're encountering is a hardware issue. It is not related to your Windows 98 Operating System. Therefore, the troubleshooting steps that I am having you complete are all hardware based.
Because Windows 98 is an obsolete Operating System, should this Deskjet be defective there are no printers that are supported on Windows 98. The earliest Operating System that currently has print drivers is Windows XP.
Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

I have an HP 940C working successfully on a Windows 7 64 bit OS computer.  I am using an adapter to go from the 25 pin connector on the printer to USB on the computer.  However, the 940C does have a (somewhat hidden) USB connection which should work as well.

  • Looking for a good black and white laser printer

I am sorry if I am at a wrong place, but  I would like to get some recommend for a good black and white laser printer.  Maybe some of the user in this group have some good experience
    Thanks in advance - Frank

The Brother HL-5340D is an excellent choice. It's much cheaper to operate in the long run than others. I did a cost breakdown between it and an HP printer here.
However the HL-5340D is discontinued. We paid $170 for ours new, and new ones that remain are at a price gouging $530. The current nearest model is the updated HL-5450DN for $185.

  • The Best HP Black and White Laser Printer with e-print

Please could someone let me know the best HP Laser printer (Black cartridge only) to use in an office environment that has the e-print facility. It will be used frequently and will be printing multiple page PDF attachments from e-mails. Anyones guidance as to which e-print machine to buy will be most appreciated. Many thanks Simon

The only Black and White Laser Printer that supports e-print is the HP LaserJet Pro M1536 Series Multifunction Printer.  Here is a link to the support site:  http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=3974279&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us
Other color LaserJet products that support e-print are the HP LaserJet Pro CM1415 Series and the CP1525 Series.

can anyone recommend a Multi-function black and white laser printer for that works with Mountain Lion?
The MFP can be either 3-in-1  or 4-in-1 i.e with fax

I bought an epson xp650 a couple of months ago and cannot fault it. It does everything I require and it is the wifi model so I can print directly from my ipad/iphone. Not sure if you are asking about the colour of the unit or just to be able to print black and white, Obviously all printers will print black and white but just to give you a little more info the printer I bought is the white version and it looks really nice sat next to my imac 27''
    Hope this helps.

  • Black & White photos printing as purple

My wife was copying some historical black & white family photos.  Six or so printed fine, then one photo changed from black & white to a purpleish tone at the 90% complete phase, only the bottom edge had changed colors.  We loaded another black cartridge believing this was the cause, but to no avail.  Now all Black & White photos are printing in purple.
    Standard printing is fine.
    Copying is fine.
    Scanning is fine.
But photo printing of black & white pictures results in the copies being 100% purple toned.
    Why?
HP 6510 printer, only two onths old.

The printer uses color ink to print black when printing on photo paper because the pigmented black ink is not compatible with photo paper.  It appears you have run out of yellow ink.  I would suggest the troubleshooting steps in the document here to resolve the issue.  Be sure to check the vents on the yellow supply as shown in solution two.
