Mf tool box 4.9 freezes on install win 7 64bit

I installed the software using the provided disc about a month ago.  Running mf4770 laser printer.  I moved and can not find the disc.  The reason why I tried reinstalling the software was I got an error message in another language.  I uninstalled using the drivers from the canon website.  I unplugged the printer.  Reinstalled drivers after uninstall then tried to reinstal tool box. 4.9.  I get a box saing processing installation and it freezes.  The whole progress bar is empty.  I would try the disc but I cant find it.  This is really frustration.  The printer works fine.  The scan did work until somewhow the error message for scan was changed.  I have searched online and I only see problems with win 8 and toolbox 4.9. Any help with reinstalling this software?

We're glad to hear that you were able to resolve the scanning issue. 
Please note that the imageCLASS machines are designed so that you will need to select a scanning option at the machine.  There is no way to set a default scan option on this machine.  You will need to select [Remote Scanner] or [Computer].  This is to ensure that your device handles the scan project properly.
Although an extra step to perform, a benefit of selecting the desired mode for a respective scan can ensure that a scanner miscommunication does not occur if it were programmed to a different mode.

    Hi Folks,
    I'm new here and have already searched for solutions.  I have P7-1240 Desktop purchased new in June 2012 with Jasmine MSI-MS-7778 motherboard, AMD A10-5700 quad core, 10 MB ram and Windows 7 64-bit.  I'm trying to install a graphics board so my son can play some games that he currently must play on low resolution using the integrated graphics.
    I updated my PSU to 600 watt Corsair and tried GTX 750 Ti and GTX-660 cards to no avail (the computer won't boot past HP splash screen).  I've also tried AMD Radeon R7-265 card but couldn't even boot to the HP splash screen.  As I understand, HP offers no BIOS updates for Windows 7 (I read here that one guy loaded a BIOS update for Windows 8 on his Windows 7 machine and it worked, but I am too chicken to try that).
    I just want to put this issue to rest.  So my question is simply this:  Does anybody know of ANY graphics card series that will definitely work OUT-OF-THE-BOX in my machine with the stock BIOS and PCI-Exp 16 Gen 2 slot?  I was going to try a GTX 500-series card next.  But I wanted to get some advice first, since I won't be able to return it if it doesn't work.

    Graphics card compatibility with the BIOS levels in PCs is not the only factor.  PCI-E slot version compatibility both upwards and downwards would be another factor.  Manufacturers will at times view standards differently and hence design their graphics cards to function differently compared to the same card being made by a different manufacturer.  Manufacturers may also design graphics cards to only work with their motherboards.  Bottom line is that not every graphics card will work in every PC.

  • Installing win 7 64bit is a no go on 2011 15" macbook pro on 10.6 or 10.7

    I've been struggling with this for 3 weeks or so since i got this brand new quad 2.3ghz 15" macbook pro. it has 8gb ram, but i have attemped the installation with 4gb as well without anyluck.
    upon boot all i get is a blinking cursor and then nothing - forever.  it sees the disc, but nothing happens.
    on macrumours some people also had luck setting their screen res to 800 x 600 but it didn't work for me.
    i have tried every rumour i have come across, including resetting the smc and pram, but this machine will not install a fresh OEM official disc of windows 7 pro 64bit onto clean installs of snow leopard or lion.
    I have also attempted this with most up to date versions of 10.7.1 and 10.6.8
    is there anything else i can try or is this machine a dud?  Any help would be greatly appreciated guys.

    OEM as in really OEM? or just what is called "System Builder" and will install universal hardware.
    Burned ISO or shipped as physical media?
    A lot of schools and others offer electronic versions themselves or off MSDN. Burnikng is an issue.
    Doesn't matter what version of OS X you use, other than it has to be able to download drivers for after Windows is installed. The MB Air needs USB-DVD support driver for the install.
    Rumors are just that. What you want is someone that it worked for. Forums are usually those it doesn't and had trouble. Hopefully not the norm either.
    3rd party RAM has been blamed once or twice, not compatible with Apple's.
    Truth be told, you should not need anything other than poip in the DVD, hold the Option key down so you can get to the Apple boot manager to select the optical disc, and install. Anything less and either the Mac, the optical drive, the DVD.
    Burning ISO electronic versions: slowest burn speed in Disk Utility.
    Also, you have your Windows partition, that should be 50GB.... or more.
    You could try VirtualBox and seeing how that goes and install Windows in a VM.
    Just to test. A VM is forgiving. Most can be installed off an ISO as well.
    If Paragon CampTune 9.5 (latest, supports Lion partitions, Lion now has its Recovery partition etc) supports resizing partitions between Mac and Windows, but I think can also be used as quick assist with the install process. Most of their products have good demo and $19 to resize etc isn't bad.
    If you just bought Windows 7 then it should also be "SP1" already included rather than the old original version which is now a full two years old!
    Can you exchnage the DVD etc? I'd go that route, there are reports of bumb DVDs. And hope it isn't the optical drive, which happens but less often.

  • How to install Application Tool Box in HFM

    I have a requirement to just install Hyperion Application tool box on a client machine (say Windows 7)  for Hyperion 11.1.2.2 version. I have tried installing via HFM Utilities installer available on OTN but I get Active X error and I am not sure if that will get the required software. On HFM server I see that the tool box exists.
    Please let me know if someone has already installed this or faced similar issue.

    None if these crash reports seem to have been send.
    Do you have crash reports with a "bp-" prefix that were submitted and that show a crashing thread?
    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Help! Lightroom freezes after installing.

    I get this message after trying to create or open a catalog: "An error occured when attemting to change modules." Then Lightroom freezes.
    I work on a Mac and have formatted and reinstalled my systemdisk with a qlean install. I had Lightroom installed and have used it for some years. But when installing the programs again I went for the Creative Cloud solution. When I tried to open my previous catalog I got this error message. And after several deinstallings and reinstallings I still get the same message and Lightroom freezes.
    Anyone who can help?

    Thank you for answering. But I find no such file in Preferences. I think Lightroom freezes before making the preference file. Other solutions?

  • Tool Box Error

    I have both an HP laserjet 3050 and HP Color Laserjet CP1215 connected to the same computer, since installing the 1215 my tool box for the 3050 gives me errors. Any suggestions?

  • Ai CS4 tools box missing.

    I was using Ai Cs 4. It works well for me. A few days ago, I was open the Ai but the tools box missing. The window bar is blank. I clicked everything on Tools also Window but I can't find the tools box. I tried too many times but the problem still the same. So I uninstalled the program and reinstalled back again but it didn't help.
    I used Mac Os 10.6.2 with Imac Intel Core duo 2. I have researched for solution but none of them are found to be useful. Now, I am getting trouble because I have to finish my work

    First I want to reassure you nothing is wrong with your install of illustrator.
    And I am going to help you fix this but you must be willing to accept what I say as so or you will not fix it.
    I have had people with this problem argue with me about this even though this is the cause and cure.
    So here we go. You have done one of two things the first one is most likely.
    1 You attempted to make an alias of the application to a location such as the desktop, or some such location.
    In doing so you held the option key down while dragging the application icon. Holding the option nly while dragging produces a copy and not an alias.
    An alias is produce if you hold the command and option key at the same time and then drag the icon that will produce an alias and not a copy.
    2 You move the application outside of the Adobe Illustrator application folder, perhaps also thinking you were making an alias.
    The problem is that this will break certain lined coding and things like certain menu items and the tools which are in the folder will no longer be acesible to the application.
    Once again this is the only way this will happen.
    The way to fix is to trash the copy making certain that you have not simply moved it out of the application folder, if the letter is the case move it back to the application folder if it is a copy trash it and holding down the Command+Option keys drag the original application icon that is in the Adobe Illustrator folder to the location you want to make the alias.
    If you want you can also trash the preferences or rest them the by holding down the command option shift keys as you launch Illustrator.
    BTW this was covered a couple of weeks ago an about a month go and about a month before that as well.

    mf 8380cdw scan & tool box 4.9 will not work with windows 8.1; I have done all I know with drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled, updated etc. With the Tool Box software I have tried troubleshooting and compatibility tests and fixes. It will work for a while and then it won't. Gives a message that an error occured and sending a report to Windows.

    I know that being unable to scan is frustrating and I will be glad to assist you.  However, I would like to ask a few questions, if that is okay.
    How is the printer connected to the computer?  Is it connected directly with a USB cable, with an Ethernet cable to a router, or wirelessly over your network?
    How were the drivers and software installed on your computer?  Did you use the installation CD-ROM that came with the machine or did you download the drivers from the Canon website?

  • ThinkVanta​ge Tool Box - Argh!!!!

    I guess I should first say that my system drive is a Seagate XT 500GB with the latest firmware.
    ThinkVantage tool box reapeard on downloads ... so I thought it had been fixed ... how wrong could I be, what a TOTAL mess!!
    I installed it and within a few seconds my system crashed ... it would not boot up, it even crashed or froze in safe mode too.
    I had to do a complete system restore to get my machine running again ....
    ThinkVantage Tool box is not fit for public use and should be removed from downloads.

    Which version of RnR are you running?  If version 4.50, please refer to my post of Nov 22,2011 discussing incremental backups reverting to the Local, C drive.  Please go into RnR, advanced menu, and VIEW ALL BACKUPS.  And if possbile, post a screen shot of the backups listing.   
    If your base backup went to the C drive, go to the advanced menu, Top  tab, ADVANCED, DELETE BACKUPS, and delete the backups, ONE AT A TIME, going from most current, to the oldest.  Go into your SETTINGS and make sure your back up location is set to your Seagate HDD. Probably selection USB.

    I cannot install my Audigy 2 soundcard with Windows 7.
    It is a clean install of windows 7 64 bit on a new HDD. However, after installation and driver file updates after I reboot, Windows 7 just freezes.
    ?I have tried different drivers but the same problem arises. I have tried to load? SBAX_PCDRV_LB_2_8_00 as well as SBAX_PCDRVBETA2 US_2_8_00, along with the automatic updates Windows 7. Any help to rectify this situation would be?greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for your response Freddie. I just do not know how people can expect companies to keep upgrading and writing software for hardware that is YEARS old. Years old.......People (not you) clamor for Windows 7 drivers for devices made for XP, and my god, that operating system came out a long long time ago. Moving on is not just an alternati've, it is a necessity. I would never be using a Gravis sound card from 995 7 or 8 (which sounded really good back then) on Windows 7 and be frustrated as to why Gravis does not have a full suite of Windows 7 drivers. It would be nice, but it is not feasible or reasonable to expect. Creative would literally spend all of their profits writing drivers and applications for stuff that is no longer sold or worth supporting. Microsoft has even changed the sound model of Windows from scratch which means drivers have to be rewritten from the ground up, not just "slightly modified".
    I bought an HP scanner for Windows 98. Great scanner. Loved it. Windows Millenium came out, and that scanner never never worked. Not their fault really, the box it came in said, "Made for Windows 98, 98SE" not "just might be compatible for Windows ME, and whatever else Microsoft may invent."? Well what happened? HP wrote drivers and applications for that scanner for Windows ME and 2000, and that disc cost me $40........Seriously? Yes. Did I buy it? Yes.... I am astonished they are writing drivers for the Audigy's now. But I do hope you find a Windows 7 sound card, and if so, I am curious if you like it. I use my X-Fi Titanium for ) games and 2) movies. and 3) music. It works well, but I had to research which boards it works with.
    Currently Asus is quite the competitor these days, and I see they have Windows 7 drivers out. A few months ago, those drivers wreaked havoc and a lot of people's systems.
