MFA Server unable to use RADIUS

I have MFA server installed and setup per this guide (http://www.isaserver.org/articles-tutorials/configuration-security/configure-windows-azure-multi-factor-authentication-forefront-threat-management-gateway-tmg-2010.html).
I have imported the test user, and when I use the test feature in MFA Server, I get the call or text, and everything works.
I have a test web listener setup and pointed to the radius server for auth. I have confirmed the server settings and shared secret are correct multiple times (I even changed the shared secret to a simple 4 digit secret to rule that out as the issue). Every
time I try and use the web listener to auth, the MFA radius logs show the following.
*edit* I also tried a 3rd party radius auth testing tool (radlogin) against the MFA server, and I get the exact same error. So this issue is specific to the MFA server, not Forefront TMG.

The masked IP is the internal IP of the TMG server. So I'm not sure where the RPC call is failing (I shut off windows firewall on MFA server to test), and why it's saying it couldn't find a secret from the source. Any thoughts? I really need to get this
POC working today for a client.
 Thanks.

Thanks for the post. I checked both links and don't see anything that applies to my issue. I have used wireshark to capture the packets, and don't see anything wrong (but I have limited radius knowledge). So the packet makes it from TMG to MFA Server, but
MFA fails to process with the errors listed in the OP.
I even tried to remove the shared secret on forefront (to force it not to match), and tried to log on. I assumed this would cause a failure with a different error, but I got the exact same error as before. So I can't figure out what RPC call is failing,
or what secret packet is missing.
I also ruled out TMG as the issue. I went ahead and downloaded Radlogin to test using the MFA Radius Server auth. I get the exact same error from that client as I do when using TMG. So the issue is the MFA/Radius server.

  • Radius server web authentication using ISE

    Hi,
Can anyone point me in the direction of a guide to implement radius server web authentication using ISE?
I need this to be layer 3 Web Auth with all authentication requests coming from the wireless anchor controller, therefore don't think I can implement central web auth on ISE as detailed in the user guide as its layer 2 and auth requests come from the foreign controller.
The following link explains "Radius Server Web Authentication" using ACS.  I need to find something similar for ISE - http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless-mobility/wlan-security/69340-web-auth-config.html

I just bought a ipod touch. I am unable to use it because itunes tells me I have no internet connection (unknown error 306). I have tried all the suggestions I can find, including checking the firewall, the no proxy server is checked, resetting cache on itunes, I even scanned the computer with Registry Easy but nothing worked.  I use Mozilla Firefox and have a PC with Windows 7. Obviously, buying a ipod and being unable to use it for 3 days (and counting) because I am unable to register it, is pretty frustrating. Can anyone help?

Did you try all of this:
iTunes Store loads partially or returns "Error 306" or "Error 10054"
Proxies, parental control settings and software, security or filtering software, or a bad iTunes Store cache can cause this.
To address proxies, Remove Internet Options proxy settings and connect to the Internet without a proxy.
    To reset iTunes Store cache:
In iTunes, choose iTunes > Preferences (Mac) or Edit > Preferences (PC).
    Click the Advanced tab.
    Click the "Reset cache" button.
Click OK and see if the issue is resolved.
    Adjust Parental Controls in iTunes:
    Open iTunes.
    Access iTunes preferences:
On a Mac: From the iTunes menu, choose Preferences.
On a Windows PC: From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
    Click the Parental Controls tab.
    Remove restrictions on Parental Controls.

  • For 2 weeks, I have been unable to use sync & it says that server maintenance is underway & will resume automatically; need to transfer history to a new laptop

For about 2 weeks, I have been unable to use sync. I keep getting a message that says server maintenance is underway & will resume automatically. How long will this maintenance last? I urgently need to transfer my history to a new laptop and return the one I am currently. My deadline for this is tomorrow as I have run out of time to complete this process

I have reset sync and the messages have stopped coming (I hope I have not messed things up). However, I still don't think sync is working (how do I confirm?).
I don't recall all of the exact words of the error message but it was similar to this: sync operation failed server maintenance is underway and will resume automatically. To check server status (click on something). Each time I clicked on the button provided, I was directed to a mozilla page which informed me that most people are able to use firefox sync and that additional capacity was on the way.
To confirm if rectification of the error had occurred, I tried getting sync on my other laptop to update and I got a similar error.
Yes this has been going on everyday for 2 weeks. I have been given a new laptop where I work and was given some time to transfer all my files. The deadline expires today and am to return the old one tomorrow.
Is there a way I can permanently reset sync to just take in my most recent history and passwords?
    Thanks for responding

you can't bypass activation.  Your phone needs to be activated for any of the functions to work.
This problem happens often to phones previously jailbroken.  Is this the case?

  • Unable to use relay server using https configuration

    Hi All,
I am using Sybase Unwired Platform 2.2 SP 04 with iOS 7.1.
I am implementing relay server with https configuration. I have already implemented relay server with http using port 80 which is working fine. But when I am changing the outbound enabler property from http to https in Server Configuration, outbound enabler is giving error
"Could not connect to Relay Server, errCode: 57, sysCode: 11001" in the RSOE log.
Instead of public IP, I am using hostname.com URL for accessing relay server.
Also in browser the availability of the url:  /ias_relay_server/server/rs_server.dll is showing none.
    Kindly advice.

  • Unable to use Content server

    Hi experts,
    I have the following scenario.
Document Area          Storage Repository      Storage Category
    CFF                               ZCFF_01                      ZCFFMAIN
    DMS                              ZDMS_01                     ZDMSMAIN
Now, when i am checking the files from cFolders to content server it is using the cfolders storage category and happening properly. But when i want to check in the files from DMS using KPro ( indicator checked in DC10 againt the document Type), It is not happening. it is giving me an error message as " An error occured while creating the original attribute for DOC". When i have gone inside the error message, In the application log for object "SDOK" it is showing " An error occured while calling the function module SCMS_DOC_CREATE" and in the details it is using the storage category ZCFFMAIN ( it is the storage category for cFolders). Actually it should use the storage category ZDMSMAIN ( storage category for DMS).
Can you tell me whether i have missed out anything or any customisation wrongly done ?
Is this the only thing that has to be defined or do we have to do some thing for the data carriers as well? Please elaborate your answer.
Christoph Your expert help is very much needed.
    Thanks and Regards
    Bhaskar

    Hi Bhaskar,
as also mentiond in your support ticket I would kindly ask you to see the attached note 1173675 and check the mentioned entries in table SDOKPROP. Please made sure that all mentioned 22 DMS related entries are maintained and that there is no typing error for these entries.
Please note that for using a storage category in document management the document area 'DMS' has to be used. So please change this setting in transaction OAC0 and OACT from 'CFF' to 'DMS'.
Additionally I would kindly ask you to check if you have maybe maintained the storage category for workstation application DOC in a profile in the customizing under
    Cross-Application Components
    - Document Management System
      - General Data
        - Define profile
Because this could explain why an other storage category is choosen by the system.
    Best regards,
    Christoph

  • Lobby User using RADIUS Server in the NCS

    Hello,
I need to know if i can use the RADIUS to classify users such as looby and specify in these users the SSID for the guest user and the time for connection like the local database in the NCS.
Actually i'm using the local database for lobby and i'd like to migrate to RADIUS database all these information.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
Yes, you could use RADIUS to authenticate lobby ambassador users. But the information like default WLAN & time period can't be passed as attributes using attributes.
As a work-around, you could create a local lobby admin account with the same username, define the lobby admin defaults locally. The user will be authenticated using RADIUS but the defaults would be picked up based on the definitions set locally in NCS.

  • Mobile Phone App and Azure MFA Server

I currently have directory sync enabled between my on-premise AD environment and Azure Active Directory, and also enabled multi-factor authentication on my profile. I installed PhoneFactor on my mobile device and am able to use it to verify my identity when
logging into my O365 OWA account.
I recently installed and configured the Multi-Factor Authentication Server to enable RADIUS requests for VPN connections, and have successfully tested MFA using the phone call method (when I connect via VPN client, I provide credentials, and receive a call
to verify my identity, press # and connection is accepted).
What am having trouble doing is using the mobile app as a method for verification. When I try to connect, I immediately receive 'Login Failed,' and there are no indications in PhoneFactor for an authentication request.
In the MFA Server logs, I see two entries:
No device configured for user '[email protected]'
PfAuth failed for user '[email protected]'. Call status: SKIPPED_USER_INCOMPLETE - "User lacks information required for phone auth".
I have read guidelines on creating a user portal within my network for self-registration, but I was hoping I could just use the Azure-provided portal.
Anyone have any ideas why this may be happening?

At present, the MFA Server user enrollment is completely separate from Azure AD. If you want to use the mobile app with the MFA Server, you need to install the User Portal so that users can generate activation codes and set their MFA method to mobile app.
Also, for users to activate their mobile apps, you have to install the Mobile App Web Service, which communicates with the MFA Server via the Web Service SDK to validate the activation code generated in the User Portal. Here are links for installing the User
Portal and Mobile App Web Service.

  • Unable to use ASDM on 5510 and 5520 ASA

    Hello,
I have been working with ASA's for about 8 months now.  I have a 5520 that is brand new out of the box and a 5510 that I blew up last week (read as format disk, start from scratch).
I have generated RSA keys, loaded license keys, loaded IOS's and configs in the last few days.  Luckily these boxes are table top at the moment and nothingto do with production.  However, I have tried to load production configurations on to these boxes, and have determined that not all the lines of the configs will load.
To be specific at the moment, I am unable to load "asdm location 192.168.50.0 255.255.255.0 inside" on either box.  I am also unable to use my broswer and HTTPS://192.168.50.1              to access the ASA, even though I have HTTP serve enabled and HTTP 192.168.50.0 listed in the config.
Because I blew up one of the boxes and started from scratch and the other box is brand new, is/are there any other special things that need to be done to these boxes?  Like I could put in some of the "crypto" config lines in the boxes until I did the license keys, once they were lin, I could configure the crypto lines.
I am open to any suggestions as this point as I can't current get the VPN's to come up (different issue here) nor see what's going on with the VPN's without ASDM.
    Thank you!
    Tracey

    Hi,
please configure the ASDM-permitted subnets as following:
    http
and make sure that you have overlapping ciphers between the client and the ASA:
    show run ssl
    ssl encryption
if it persists, get the SSL captures at the ASA as .pcap
    hope this helps

  • Unable to use the Logo Image

    Hi all,
I want to use Logo Image at the Title of a report. But the problem is i am unable to use this .jpg file in Title Logo.
I have copied the desired jpg in these two locations :
    OracleBI\Oracle_BI1\bifoundation\web\app\res\s_blafp\images
    OracleBI\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain\servers\bi_server1\tmp\_WL_user\analytics_11.1.1\7dezjl\war\res\s_blafp\images.
Also i have restarted the Services .Then also i am unable to see the image file .
Here i have used the same process in our development server and it's working without any issues. I have done the same changes on my QA Server, but it's not working on QA.QA Server is 2 node Clustered environment.
    Any help is Appreciated.
    Thanks
    Rondo.

after the last Yosemite update on my MacBook pro I turned the FileVault on, now my Mac is freezing all the time and encrypting the drive looks like going to last forever and I am unable to use my MacBook pro what must I do???!!!

    1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
Don't be put off by the complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You do harder tasks with the computer all the time.
    2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
    3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. As I wrote above, it changes nothing. It doesn't send or receive any data on the network. All it does is to generate a human-readable report on the state of the computer. That report goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. If you prefer, you can act on it yourself without disclosing the contents to me or anyone else.
You should be wondering whether you can believe me, and whether it's safe to run a program at the behest of a stranger. In general, no, it's not safe and I don't encourage it.
In this case, however, there are a couple of ways for you to decide whether the program is safe without having to trust me. First, you can read it. Unlike an application that you download and click to run, it's transparent, so anyone with the necessary skill can verify what it does.
You may not be able to understand the script yourself. But variations of the script have been posted on this website thousands of times over a period of years. The site is hosted by Apple, which does not allow it to be used to distribute harmful software. Any one of the millions of registered users could have read the script and raised the alarm if it was harmful. Then I would not be here now and you would not be reading this message.
Nevertheless, if you can't satisfy yourself that these instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
    4. Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
☞ Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.
☞ Paste into the window of another application.
☞ Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
☞ Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.
The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. You don't need to copy a second time. Details follow.
    5. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode, under the conditions in which the problem is reproduced. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
    6. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
    7. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    8. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
    9. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "Syntax error" or "Event not found," enter
    exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
    10. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return  three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
    11. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
    [Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report what happened. No harm will be done.
    12. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
    13. When you post the results, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "You are not authorized to post." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.
    14. This is a public forum, and others may give you advice based on the results of the test. They speak only for themselves, and I don't necessarily agree with them.
