MFE Error, no automatic sync

Hi,
We are using Nokia E51 (400.34.011) and MFE 2.09.158
Our Mail Server is a Exchange 2007 with SP2
Suddenly, our Nokia devices don't sync automatically anymore...
Our profile is set to sync automatically for allways.
When you edit something in the profile and click back, it saves the profile and start the sync.
This works like a charm. But after a couple of minutes, it doesn't sync anymore.
This is the log file:

Any ideas?
Our Windows Mobile devices don't have this problem.
Please help since this is really urgent, 60 people are facing with this issue at the moment...
Thanks

well actually, i don't see what it has to do with the certificate, we have a certificate server and each 2 years we deploy a new certificate for our services. What we also did (i forgot to mention ) is that we have updated our Exchange 2007 with SP2. So it is running the latest updates now. could it have to do anything with this update? and how come that it works on the Windows Mobile devices, Outlook 2003/2007 RPC/HTTP and on Nokia E51 with sync "Every 15minutes" but NOT when syncing "Always".... it clearly has to do something with MFE, right?

Is this an iLife installation disk or system install disk?  In either case download the demo version of   Pacifist and open the install package on the disk.  Locate iPhoto and use Pacifist to install iPhoto.  Then you'll need to apply the latest updater from the Apple Downloads webpage:
Apple - Support - Downloads.  Just search for the iPhoto version you installed to get the updaters for that version.

  • Error message when syncing says I'm not authorized to play the songs

I connected my nano to my laptop via USB port to recharge the nano. The songs normally automatically sync at the same time, no problem, but this time I got an error message saying it couldn't sync some songs because I'm "not authorized to play them on this computer." What should I do (or have done) differently?
    2GB   Windows XP Pro

Play one of the songs on your computer or use the Authorize Computer command from the Store menu in iTunes; this will authorize your computer to play the music and transfer it to your iPod.

  • "iTunes has stopped working" error message during syncing

I've downloaded the latest version of iTunes, and just started to download Podcasts. But now I get the error message during syncing....almost everytime. Is there a solution out there or update that I haven't downloaded??

Same problem here! Moreover, for some reason, the pictures in my iPhone 3GS somehow have been divided into 2 folders, Photos and Medialibrary. And when I open iPhone as a folder through the explorer I can see only the Photos folder, but cannot see the Medialibrary folder which stores the photos taken before updating/upgrading the iPhone and getting separated folders!!! What the hack with all of this?!!! When I connect iPhone to PC it automatically opens iTunes and starts syncronizing it, but at the process of OPTIMIZING the photos (and according to the number of photos it shows, I see that it tries to syncronize that invisible Medialibrary folder) the process suddenly stops and error message pops out Tried the sync test, tried the button DEBUG in that pop out message, but NOTHING HELPS!!! Also, when I open the Medialibrary in my iPhone, the screen get sblack all through scrolling it down, only the video clips are shown there... >.<
So, could you, apple developers, please, explain WHAT THIS PROBLEM IS ABOUT?!!!!!! FIX IT! I am getting ****** of to spend hours at the computer and reading those lame advises which do not help at all! I have my own things to do except reading your support websites. And I payed for the product ready to use, but not a halfproduct which problems should further be solved somehow by users..

  • DEP preventing Itunes from automatic sync with ipod

I can't find anything about this anywhere so you might be able to help me!
I changed the podcast automatic sync settings on my ipod and for some inexplicable reaon, the ipod (160gb classic) started sncing manually with itunes. (i'm pretty sure i didn't touch the manual tick box!)
Everytime I unclick the manual snyc button on the ipod page, itunes shuts down and i get a message saying that data execution protection has prevented changes. I have attempted to change the DEP setting for itunes, but I get a message saying that i'm not authorised/ not safe to do so. i am logged in as an administrator.
Anyone have any idea what to do next!?!

I basically was unselecting "manually manage music and videos", ok-ed the standard do you really want to do that box and the itunes shut down.
Windows problems/solutions would then tell me about itunes not having enough DEP priviliges.
Unfortunately I'm not able to tell you what happens, as I have just tried it again to get the exact errors and it has worked beautifully!
no shutdowns, no problems. I haven't done anything differently.
Problem reports and solutions don't mention the DEP thing but say fault with stackhash_fd600.
Obviously posting on this forum in itself is enough to solve problems!

  • Unknown Error (-48) when syncing ipod nano in Itunes

I got a new ipod nano chromatic and have had it about 5 months. Then today i plug it in and the battery was pretty low -it kept saying that it cant sync and that it has experienced an unknown error (-48).
*** is this and how can I fix it. I have charged the ipod up, so surely it isnt the battery.
    Help!

Have you tried restoring your iPod? Restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions to name the iPod and automatically sync your songs and videos onto the fresh installation. Press Done and the iPod will appear in iTunes and start to sync. If you want to update manually or using selected playlists uncheck the box beside the sync automatically instruction and press Done, it will default to manual mode and you can choose whatever setting you like: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes

  • Error Message when Syncing

"Unable to sync iPod. iPod could not be found"
I then have to restore my iPod. This does not fix the problem however as I try to sync my library (5000 songs 10 movies) it nearly always stops near the end and say "a problem occured when trying to sync iPod). So I end up manually syncing the iPod which works for a while and then I have to re-format it. It's very annoying.
Anyone else encountered this and any solutions?
    Thanks

    Try these tips...
    *Check iPod hard-drive for errors*
Hold Menu+Select on the iPod for about 6 seconds until it resets, then hold Menu+Play as soon as the Apple logo appears, again for about 6 seconds to put the machine in disk mode. Open iTunes and in the Sync tab of the preferences menu check *Disable automatic syncing of all iPhones & iPods*. Now connect your iPod to the computer, wait until it connects, then close iTunes. Browse *My Computer* and right-click on the drive for the iPod, click Properties, then click Tools. Under Error-checking, click *Check Now*. Under Check disk options, select *Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors* (Optional - takes ages but a good idea if you've reason to suspect physical damage). Click Start. Mac users should run *Disk Utility / Repair Disk* for the equivalent process. This should find and correct any errors in the logical & physical structures of your iPod's hard drive. Once these have been fixed you can reset the iPod (hold Menu+Select ) and should stand a better chance of a successful restore.
And if that still doesn't help try Erase your iPod - The Super Fix for most iPod Problems. Basically a low level format of the iPod’s hard drive to get around whatever problems are stopping iTunes from restoring it.
Once you've restored your iPod don't rush to dump all the data back exactly as it was before. Complex smart playlists can sometimes trigger constant reboots or dumping of the iPod's library. In addition, larger transfers can fail leaving data in an inconsistent state. Try this technique for populating the iPod in stages.
    *Break up large transfers*
In iTunes select the menu item *File... New Smart Playlist*. Change the first drop-down box to Playlist, the next to is and the next to Music. Tick against *Limit to*, type in say 10, then change the drop-down to GB, and set the last drop-down to artist. When you click OK you can enter a name for the playlist, e.g. Transfer. Now sync this playlist to your iPod rather than your entire library. When the sync is complete modify the rule ( *File... Edit playlist* ) to increase the size by your chosen amount, then sync and repeat. You can experiment with different size increments, if it doesn't work just choose something a bit smaller until it works each time. Before long you should have all your music on your iPod. Once that's done you can move on to other media such as podcasts, videos, photos, playlists etc.

  • E71 MfE error

Hi I have a Nokia E71 with Mail for Exchange v 2.07 to connect to my business exchange account. This has been working ok, but recently I have started to get an error message with synchronising. "Calendar syncing error - Contact Admistrator." In the MfE logs files, there is an error message "Out of Memory". I have checked on the device and there seems to plenty free: 92 Mb Free 27 Mb In Use 579 kB Calendar. I have looked at the MfE log files and see the following Mail for Exch. Build : 2.07.000 Device Software Version: 210.21.006 02-0 Device Model: E71 System Error: -KErrNoMemory Does anone know what this error means, or what can be done to clear it?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I have had this in the past, what seems to be happening is that one of the calendar entries is corrupted and this is causing the sync to fail.
Apparantly this is fixed in the latest version of MfE but I wouldn't recommend the update as it has its own more critical problems.
The work around that I have used is:
Back up before you start - this involves deleting content!
    1. Enter the MfE application and in the Sync Content option switch off the Calendar sync
    2. Change the Date in the Phone to a date way into the future, say 20 May 2015
    3. Go to the Calendar and use the Delete function to Delete all Entries Before date - because the Date is set as 2015 then most if not all entries will be erased.
    4. Set the Date back to today
    5. IMPORTANT Open MfE and then change Sync Content to include the calendar, you will then need to change the inital sync setting for the calendar to "Delete Items on the phone" as there are none - then then it will delete nothing. YOU MUST change the inital sync setting of MfE will erase your calendar in the server as well
    6. Save the Settings and then perform a Synchronisation NOT a Full Resync
What should happen is the phone should then contact the server and download all the information from the Exchange.
When this happens to me - a quick 5 minutes performing this action restores the functionality.
    Shunts...
I will mostly be communicating with a Nokia E72 Zodium Black
Nokia E72-1 with Vr 051.018.207.04 Software

  • Games won't sync, ipod insists on automatic sync

I had some work done on my PC and the tech reformatted the hard drive after backing up my itunes library. After the library was reinstalled from backup, I downloaded and re-installed the latest version of itunes.
Unfortunately, when I connected my Ipod, it immediately tried to synch with the library. It gave me an error on the 4 games I had : PacMan, Sodoku, Tetris and Vortex. They have been deleted from my iPod and I can't get them to load back on.
The reason given is "Unknown Error -39".
How do I put these games back on my ipod? I also don't understand why it is automatically sync-ing every time I connect up either when I have all the check boxes set to allow me to manually sync. Please help.

Although I'm not 100% certain, this might have something to do with Windows Fast User Switching. Go to to control panel/user accounts/change the way users log on and off, and disable fast user switching. Can't hurt to try.

  • IPhone syncs automatically after restore despite 'prevent automatic sync' in iTunes preferences

iPhone 4 just restored to deal with memory issue, and after restore, it starts to sync automatically when I connect it to my laptop (OS X 10.9.5, iTunes 11.4) despite checking 'Prevent iDevices from syncing automatically' in iTunes preferences.
iTunes summary screen for the phone, under options, shows a grayed-out 'Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected' phrase, with no box to deselected to fix it.
Any idea what is going on?

This one was odd:  it stopped after the first sync was finally completed--had to interrupt several times to use the phone away from the computer before all the music and photos were fully reloaded.  Now it waits appropriately for next sync.  This is probably why no one else had seen this or replied.

    Ah, new to routers too.
Perhaps it's best to have a local computer support person come set you up?
To explain everything would require writing a book here.
But this is what you want basically.
Router, new Wireless N, firmware updated.
1: Two accounts, one admin, one guest Internet access. Random +30 plus character lenght passwords each preferred.
(guest password to max password length of any iDevices)
2: Encryption: WPA2 AES. No Ping. No remote access. No MAC filtering. Visible.
3: Guest access on devices and computers only.  Passwords written down and stored.
4: OpenDNS preferred but not mandatory.
If you get OpenDNS, you can log into their website for free and set parental controls on things like inappropriate sites for children. So whatever device is used on your network can't access a large portion of those sites (nothing is perfect) by most users who are not technical oriented.
What your doing now is running the bare bones unsecure router which can be used harmfully against you.
Even a Apple Airport router has to be very well secured. The defautl cd and out of the box setup is not a secure solution.

  • I lost my itunes after syncing and older iphone to my powermac g4.  Originally I had an older ipod nano that I would sync to the g4 and everything was fine. Lost itunes music even though preferences had been set in advance for not automatically syncing.

My itunes library had been fine.  I had been using an older ipod nano to sync with my itunes library and had been doing manual syncs, with the preferences in itunes set for not allowing "ipods or iphones" to sync automatically.  I found out that apple had a program to replace the battery on this older ipod nano, so I sent it in.  It was great, they didn't have an exact replacement and sent me a later ipod nano.  However, this ipod nano is so new - I will have to get a newer computer with a later operating system to use it.
So, I thought I'd use my old iphone to listen to my old playlists.  I thought the preferences were set for not automatically syncing iphone to itunes.
I've had problems in the past with the syncs with this iphone and my computer because of the USB port (1.1).  I'm thinking this was the problem.
The apple store did something to update the software on my iphone when it wasn't working one day. I think that when I tried to sync the iphone to the g4 cube via the old port (1.1) it basically wiped out everything on my itunes.  Whatever was my selected playlist for my iphone - that was the only music
that remained on my computer and the iphone.  I only had about 20 songs purchased on my library, but alot of music that had been downloaded, I gave away those original cds.  I did have a back up on my external drive, but that thing died a few weeks ago from some random power outtages we had this fall.
I'm not looking to purchase retrieval software or have some outside third party to retrieve it for me.  It's not that much music lost.  I just wanted confirmation that this is what happened: that my old iphone sync is what erased the music.

The old iTunes library was lost with the old PC.  However, it all that music and content is still on your iPod there are many ways you can extract this content from the iPod and import it back into iTunes.
Your iPod is designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time.  It will recognize the iTunes library on the new PC as a new library.  If you sync the iPod with this new library, all content will be erased from the iPod and replaced with what is in the new library.  So what you will want to do is copy everything from the iPod to your new iTunes library on your PC first.
See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different methods and software available to assist you with the task of copying content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.

My i phone 4s calendars have not been automatically syncing to my i cloud calendars.  I have noticed my phone apple ID is the primary one and my i cloud is using the secondary apple id.  I am able to log into i cloud using both IDs.  I believe the problem is the ID s are not the same on each.  I believe if I change my i cloud ID to the primary ID it will fix the issue but I can't figure out how to change it.

To do this you will have to go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars and delete the secondary account (this only deletes it from your phone, not from iCloud).  Then go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account to delete the primary account.  Next sign into your former secondary account ID in Settings>iCloud, making it the primary account.  If you wish, you can then go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud and add the former primary account as your secondary account.
