MI and MS Exchange

Does MI work with MS Exchange? If so what is the synchronization technology? References to any diagrams, documents, or experts would be very helpful.

Hello Oz,
AFAIK there is no direct relationship between MI and MS Exchange. The Handheld Device can use Active Sync to synchronize with the Users Outlook. Outlook can be connected to the MS Exchange Server. Active Sync is then also be used to make the Connection to the MI Server.

I HAD two accounts because of this problem. I completely removed the problem account from the Apple Mail client. Guess what is happening?? That's right - Mail is still sending from the other account that no longer exists on my computer, and I have absolutely no idea how this is happening. This is incredibly frustrating. When a recipient chooses to reply to my message, quite often I won't get it now because it is going to the other account that has now been deleted from my system. COME ON APPLE!!! WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THIS???

My exchange server at work was synced to my iphone and has worked with no issues. I then exchanged my phone because there were issues with my bluetooth not syncing properly. So with this new phone, it prompts me to enter in my exchange server password every few days. I contacted my IT department as well and microsoft to get this issue resolved because I assume that there were issues with the exchange server. They were both able to see an event viewer and it showed that my iphone was attempting to log in numerous amounts of times, which locks out my account after 3 incorrect log ins. Even when I erased the exchange account from my phone, it still showed that the phone in the event viewer was trying to log in over and over again. I then did a master clear and restore and the process was removed in the event viewer. So then I called my IT department to unlock my account after I cleared everything. I was able to sync everything again with it working properly. Now its a day later and the my exchanger server prompts me to enter in the password AGAIN and my exchange account is locked AGAIN because the event viewer at work is showing the same issues. Is my Iphone not saving the password correctly? What do I do? My IT department even created a dummy account to see if a new account would fix the issues but yet no cigar! HELP!!

The iPhone you returned is still syncing against your server and locking out your account. Someone possibly has access to your mail data. I'd recommend having your Exchange Administrator install the Microsoft Exchange Server ActiveSync Web Administration Tool (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=E6851D23-D145-4DBF-A2CC -E0B4C6301453&displaylang=en) and attempt to wipe/delete/block that other iPhone.

I have configured the same but now problem is Billing Header Exchange rate is not changing. Because of that Accounting document also doesn't have new exchange rate,.
1. Is there any another config needs to be maintain.
Example:
Sale order Exchange rate              10.45           Order date : 01.11.2008
Billing Header Exchange Rate         10.45           Billing date : 05.11.2008
Billing Line item Exchange Rate      11.00           Billing date : 05.11.2008 base on VTFL Config

i have Dsl router that connect to Tmg server
i have Tmg with two NIC
1-192.168.0.4
2- 2 Public Ip address
i want to do this
i want to split user's traffic and my exchange traffic
i mean i want to route user's traffic with one public ip addresss
and my exchange server's traffic with another public address
but when i add additional ip address at Tmg or create new NIC card
all of my traffic route with one public ip Address what should i do?

Hi Uhan,
You need to use ENAT fuction on TMG to achive this
On the External NIC assing the Second IP as Additionl IP address (VIP)
Create a network Rule to NAT traffice From Exchange server IP address to the required Public IP which you need the E NAT.
Ensure you are creating rule only from Exchange server IP and not all INternal.

New Outlook 2013 Installation - How to configure for default pop email and access exchange 2003 server for shared folders only

I have successfully installed and configured outlook 2013 to access my pop.integra.net email accounts. We have an 2003 exchange server we use for shared folders which I am having difficulty accessing.
My preference would be to set up my access to the exchange server and use the same data folders for email as are in use for my pop email account. In outlook 2003 this was simple, but in 2007 on up it seems this feature has been hobbled. Is there
a workaround to get both accounts to use the same database?
Next issue is if I use the Mail client wizard under Control Panel to set up access to the exchange server - everything looks fine but when launching outlook I receive the following 2 error messages:
"The resource that you are trying to use is located on an unsupported version of Microsoft Exchange. Contact your e-mail administrator for assistance."
"Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. Your Microsoft Exchange administrator has blocked the version of Outlook that your are using. Contact your administrator for assistance."
Obviously the optimal solution is to upgrade the Exchange Server - assuming that is not an option - are there any workarounds?
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Downgraded to Office 2007.
So now have a new Windows 8.1 laptop with outlook 2007 installed.
From what I have been told this should allow me to connect to the Exchange2003 server
I set up the pop account - works fine
set up the exchange account through Mail.exe and am unable to launch outlook.
"Microsoft Exchange is Unavailable"
"Retry - Work Offline - Cancel"
Then
"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook Window. The set of folders cannot be opened. The information store could not be opened."
The data file path is the same for both the pop account and the exchange account:
C:\Users\Scott\app data\local\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst
How do I get this to work?

Direct: X units of local currency (LC) = 1 unit of foreign currency (FC)
Indirect: 1 unit of LC = X units of FC
Therefore, considert his example:
LC = EUR
FC = GBP
GBP Rate is set as 1.23
Document total = GBP 10.00
GBP 10.00 = EUR 12.30 when using the 'Direct Method' (1.23 EUR = 1 GBP)
GBP 10.00 = EUR 8.13 when using the 'Indirect Method' (1 EUR = 1.23 GBP)

I just upgraded my 3GS to 4.3.3 and my Exchange isn't working

I just upgraded my 3GS to 4.3.3 and my Exchange email will not recognize my password. Does anybody have a way to get my email working?

This problem has been reported here a couple of times. The solution appears to be to download any new App, say a free one. This appears to resolve this problem.

Planning Average and Ending Exchange rate

Hi i need some info regarding average and ending exchange rate in the exchange rate tables.
On what factors the the exchange rates are stored ,how are they entered.

We usually take Average Exchange Rate for Revenue Accounts and Ending for Balance Sheet accounts. Depend on the nature of Account we will choose the type of exchange Rates. For ex. in Jan you've the exchange rate as 45 (USD to INR) and in Feb if it is 48 and in March if it is 50, For Qtr1 you should take March exchange Rate for Balance sheet accounts. Where as when dealing with Revenue Account, the exchange rate should be the avg of Jan, Feb & March. Hope this helps

Unity 8.0 and Migrating Exchange 2003 to 2010

In the coming months I hope to be upgrading from Exchange 2003 (sp2) to Exchange 2010 (sp3) running on Windows Server 2012. I currently have Unity 8.0(3.1) running on Server 2003. We hope to be upgrading to Exchange 2013 at the end of the year if that is supported.
Before I contact my Cisco partner about this upgrade I would like to know what to expect. Any advice and suggestions would be appreciated.

The integration is completely different than with legacy Unity. High-level: Unity leverages MAPI integration and is completely dependent upon AD and Exchange to function properly. Hence, the schema extensions, Permissions Wizard (and associated permissions), and etc. Unity Connection leverages web-based APIs for integration. Specifically it uses WebDav for Exch 2003 and EWS for Exchange 2007/2010. It is a dual message store synchronization architecture, which means that 1) it can function independently without AD and/or Exchange integration and 2) no schema extensions and 3) less complicated permissions requirements. With Unity Connection, the users have a mailbox on the server and then a copy of that message is synchronized into the user's corporate Exchange mailbox. You get MWI synchronization between phone and email and etc (hence, you get Unified Messaging). Another nice thing is that you can handle requirements for voicemail only scenarios locally on Unity Connection without having to create dummy or "resource" AD/Exchange accounts in the corporate systems. As for the fax part, OK - that's a problem in your scenario. Personally, I've never been a big fan of using Unity for that (and don't) but then again, I don't really like "fax" anyway. Personal opinions aside, I'll go with relay of facts. Unity Connection supports integration with 3rd-party fax systems. You can take a look at that here:
