Mi laptop Sony Vaio SVF14213CLB con Windows 8.1 pro tiene Soporte Miracast

Quisiera saber si mi laptop soporta esta caracteristica de Pantalla inalambrica, ya especifique el modelo de mi pc, tiene un procesador Intel Core i3 de 3ra Generacion con graficos HD 4000, 6 GB de Ram, tarjeta wifi Broadcom BCM43142 y Windows 8.1 Pro. segun tengo entendido mi pc esta capacitada para el soporte de dicha caracteristica. Cuando intento conectar con mi TV Sony Bravia, busco en mi pc en el apartado Dispositivos->Proyectar->Agregar una pantalla inalambrica, mi computador lo encuentra, pero cuando intento conectar se queda como instalando y despues de algunos segundos tira el mensaje "Algo fue mal", al igual que en el TV sale "fallo en el registro" Espero ayuda..... Seems like Sony Vaio Z - sony's premier line of laptops will not get Windows 10 driver updates which is absolutely ridiculous. Sony should be taking care of customers who buy their top of the line products. My laptop is not even 3 years old yet. Especially the video drivers for the docking station should be updated.

Hi I just would like to share my experience updating my machine to Windows 10 Pro from Win 7. Model name is SVZ1311CHXXI. Before updating online, I used Sony's driver site and applied the latest drivers on Win 8 or Win 8.1. That should have a high chance of compatibility. The online upgrade was seamless and quick. After completed the whole process, I checked and found the following points. 1) Fn Key: Volume, brightness, and zoom ---- works2) White button: Assist, web, vaio --- work 3) Dock --- Disk USB and video work. Used bit locker for a USB stick which works seamlessly. 4) Memory card slots --- work5) Fingerprint sensor --- Initially did not work but after setup on Win 10 it works when logging in.6) Touchpad --- No problem7) Graphics driver --- This is a tricky part. As this model uses two graphics drivers simultaneously, Intel's HD 4000 has a driver of 10.18.10.4252 as of July 10, 2015. AMD HD 6700M has a driver of 15.200.1046.2 as of July 15, 2015. So it looks they have the best driver but presumably because of the Sony's customized setting, the graphic experience is not perfect. (But it works. Otherwise, I cannot write this.) The issue can be observed from old software programs on x86. Video rendering and resolution scaling is not optimized so that you can see blurred menu bars on the top or fuzzy fonts on it. But you can operate it. Not all programs are experiencing this issue. I suspect relatively dated x86 ones are more likely to get this. It did not happen my other Win 10 PC that uses the same program. There is something that needs to be done by Sony to solve this video driver issue as they chose to provide this hybrid architecture that was the premium paid by users. 8) Sound --- No problem. Noise canceling headphones work as well. 9) Hard disk configurations --- The same and no issues.So that is about it. I would say compared to my previous experience upgrading old VAIO Z with Nvidia hybrid from Vista to Win 7 64, this is much seamless although a new Win 10 video driver needs to be delivered by Sony. Wish my experience helps and more strongly wish Sony guys could use my experience to respond to it and offer the updated drivers the users would like to have ASAP.

Actualicé mi laptop sony vaio VPCSB45FL de windows 7 a Windows 10 y no funciona la tarjeta grafica AMD Radeon HD 6470M, descargue e instale nuevamente el driver desde la pagina de sony pero windows 10 al reiniciarse instala automaticamente el driver para la tarjeta amd radeon hd 7400M el cual no funciona adecuadamente no puedo acceder a los juegos que normalmente ejecuto en el pc como por ejemplo fifa 15 y tampoco funciona el selector para activar o desactivar la targeta grafica AMD; alguien conoce alguna solucion para este inconveniente?Muchas Gracias

Muchas gracias por tu respuesta, yo tambien ya intente con todos los drivers y ninguno funciona, lo unico sería esperar si sony se anima a desarrollar la actualizacion del driver para windows 10 pero parece que no van a brindar soporte para muchas computadoras lo cual me parece una falla muy grande ya que mi laptop tiene los requerimientos de sobra para poder correr windows 10 por este motivo no compraria otra vez una computadora sony, por ahora en el foro de AMD me recomendaron instalar leshcat drivers que de pronto podrian funcionarhttp://leshcatlabs.net/; esta es la guia http://leshcatlabs.net/manual_chm/segun eso habria que instalar los ultimos drivers de intel y amd para que funcione sin deshabilitar el switch.

Solaris installaton on Sony Vaio PCG-F707 network not working

I am new to Solaris, I use unix as a developer no admin experience. I try to install it on my laptop Sony Vaio PCG-F707, which is an European model equivalent to PCG-F403 of american model.
It detects the display and mose properly. There is an IRQ conflict(IRQ 5) with the sound blaster and PNP device. My network card is on the docking system it connected to the USB. Window detected it as KLSI USB Ethernet Adapter. Physical address is: 08-00-46-02-91-3D.
Everytime it boots shows the message IRQ conflict. I tried to delete the device and mannually assign the IRQs, but it dectects auto metically and override that. In desktop It saying no sound device found.
Network is not detected probably. It is showing only one driver to lo0 (127.0.0.1). It successfully pings to localhost only. It doesn't ping to any other window box in the network neither to the netgear router.
I also try to check the other USB port, by connecting the sony digital camera, it didn't detected by the camera browser program.
I disable the Plug & Play from the bios and reboot no difference.
I like the Solaris software very much wish to use it, but without network and sound, it is no use. Please help me on this.

I am also new to Solaris and I have very similar problem with installation of Solaris 10 on HP Server tc2120.
In my case, there is no conflict.
Network monitor is showing only one connection; lo0 (127.0.0.1). I am not able to see and configure the internal network adapter : Integrated Broadcom NC7760 10/100/1000
Can anyone help me how to configure (to assign IP address; gateway etc..) network adapter on Solaris?

Sony VAIO VGN-FW11E - can't set brightness

I have really annoying problem with my laptop - setting brightness just don't work. I have tested many others distributions and this work only under Ubuntu 9.10 beta. I think that is connected with this. How can I use this patch in arch?

hmm, i'm not certain that will fix it for you..
do you already have a fixed dsdt for your laptop? if you do, the best way is to compile a kernel with these lines added to the kernel config file:
CONFIG_STANDALONE=n
CONFIG_ACPI_CUSTOM_DSDT=y
CONFIG_ACPI_CUSTOM_DSDT_FILE="DSDT.hex"
that will definitely fix the brightness issue. the sony-laptop module is built by default, so you don't have to compile that specifically (the module is needed to get the function-keys on your keyboard working, it shouldn't have any influence on the brightness itself).
if you don't have a custom dsdt yet, you need to make one following the instructions on the vaiobuntu blog. it's a bit daunting at first, but i assure you that it's doable.

Cannot login my Windows 8.1 Pro with my live ID, don't have the Microsoft Logon Option

My laptop was installed with a Windows 8.1 Pro, and it worked very well before, i can login with my domain account and Windows Live ID, but today when i startup my laptop and i cannot find the option "Login with Microsoft/Live ID", i only can login
with "Domain account/Local Account/SmartCard".
Microsoft Account/Live ID is a local administrator but my domain account seems is not a local administrator.
Now even i can login with my domain account, but i cannot change anything, because i'm not a administator, so how to make the "Microsoft Account" login available when i login the windows? (by the way, i cannot add a new login in the "Change
PC Settings->Accounts", because my domain account is not a local administrator)

According to your description,I would like to know if you can see "Other User" option on the login screen.
If you can see it,please click it and type your microsoft account.
If you cannot see this option,please click Switch user to check the result.

How can I get pdf files to minimize up into the upper left corner of my Windows 8.1 Pro screen?

I have both a laptop and a desktop running Windows 8.1 Pro. When I open a pdf file on my laptop, and I click on the adobe reader icon in my taskbar at the bottom of the screen, the pdf doc is minimized up into the left hand corner of the screen where I can then right mouse click and insert the pdf file left or right of any other document I pull up onto my screen, i.e. I can create side by side windows of the two documents. But if I try the same thing on my desktop and then click on the adobe reader icon, it will not minimize up into the left hand corner. Does anyone now I can get my desktop to do what my laptop is doing since they are running the same OS?

This can be a bug on Mac.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

Cuando se solucionarán los problemas de compatibilidad de photoshop cc 2014 con la tableta Wacom pro.

En Photoshop cc con windows 8.1 pro y tableta Wacom pro los márgenes de la pantalla no están ajustados el puntero se desplaza fuera de los márgenes y aparece en el lado opuesto. Pero que se ha solucionado en Photoshop cc 2014 pero que han surgido nuevas incompatibilidades con la tableta Wacom pro, en concreto: el botón derecho de la tableta funciona como si hiciésemos un click. Los atajos de teclado de shift para modo de pincel y control para selección de capa no funcionan si no se mueve el lápiz, mientras que en la tecla alt existe un conflicto entre el cuenta gotas y selección de muestra. Tras múltiples actualizaciones del programa en mi caso todavía no se ha solucionado y así no se puede trabajar adecuadamente. Estos problemas no existían en versiones anteriores.
¿ Saben cuando se solucionarán los problemas de incompatibilidad ?

windows 8 has been out long enough to have fixed this issue you would think Its bad enough my last computer hard drive went out and i lost all on it but now i cant backup my phone so if I lose it or something happens to it Ill be in bad shape lol PLEASE fix this issue!!!
