Mial Package with Attachments
Hi All,
We have setup the mail package and created the appropriate message maps where we now send emails out from XI for certain message types. This works great but we want to also send document attachments with our current message. If I check the keep attachments option on the mail package the outputted email tries to put the attachment in the body of the email and the original body text into an email attachment. This is completely reverse of what I am trying to do. I looked through several threads and used Michal Krawczyk's blog to get this far.
I noticed the documentation had this to say, "If you have selected XIPAYLOAD as the message protocol and you want to forward XI attachments in the e-mail attachments, select Keep Attachments. You use the PayloadSwapBean module to swap the application payload with one of the attachments."
I tried a couple of options for the PayloadSwapBean but my results never changed. I could have several attachments so I can't hard code what attachment type or extension.
Looks like I am getting close:
I have the following in my dynamic configuration now in SXMB_MONI:
<SAP:DynamicConfiguration xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">
<SAP:Record namespace="http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail" name="THeaderFROM">[email protected]</SAP:Record>
<SAP:Record namespace="http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail" name="THeaderTO">[email protected]</SAP:Record>
<SAP:Record namespace="http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail" name="THeaderSUBJECT">The attachments for PO are included in this email.</SAP:Record>
</SAP:DynamicConfiguration>
The MDT gives me the following error when trying to send email: Mail: error occurred: java.io.IOException: no sender address specified

Collect mailmessages with attachments (xml)
I am getting some problems to collect a mail message with a XML attachment.
For this scenario I use the Sender Mail adapter and I would like to collect several mail messages with attachments for 10 minutes and put them together in one file with the File Adapter (NFS).
To make it not to complicated I started to read one mail message with attachment.
From the mail message I would like to use the message text in the mail. The attachment is an XML file with 3 fields (Name, Adress, ID).
The output file is based on :
- Message (input is the text in the mail message)
- Name
- Adress
- ID
My CC Mail Sender settings are:
Transport protocol: Pop3
Message protocol: XIPayload
Mailattributes : Use Mail Package = yes
Keep Attachments = yes
Based on several how tos from this website, how to import mails with attachments.
When this message is send to XI the substance tells me in the monitor that I use 2 Payloads:
- Mail Message (text/xml;charset=utf-8)
- MailAttachment-1 (text/xml;name=testattachment.xml)
Because I would like to combine those 2 messages into 1 file. I use a fork in BPM.
To create relation for BPM I added after the inbound receiving for each input message a field relation, which is needed for correlation in BPM.
But my problem is, because the payload exist of 2 messages and it is only possible to reach only on at the same time..
In my message mapping I have two inputs: Mail and Attachment and my output is one message.
Is their a solution how I can combine those 2 payloads into one, before its getting into the BPM scenario or where I can use more payloads at the same time?
I already tried looking for this at post on SDN, but I could not find anything similar.
nullHi Venu,
When I try to use your suggestion, I get a problem with my message interface.
In my communication channel (CC) for the Mail Adapter (Sender) you need to set the Default XI parameters with a default interface name.
In my case I have the input of one interface of the mail message
and one interface of the attachment. But in CC you can only work only with one message interface.
When I try to work with only one, only one message will be processed. So just the mail message not the attachment, or the other way around.
Is their another solution, to prevend this?

Sending mails with attachments using oracle 8i
Hi,
Could anybody please send a sample code for sending mails
with attachments using oracle 8i.
Thanks in advanceFor oracle8i there is an example package from OTN:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/tech/pl_sql/htdocs/Utl_Smtp_Sample.html
You have to re-write the package a bit to work it with BLOBs instead of RAW attachments, but that should be no problem
Hop this helps,

Transfer of legacy open P.O with attachments to SRM
Hello SRM Folks,
Can some one let me know How we can transfer Open P.O or closed P.O from Legacy system to SRM with Attachments directly..
Need your inputs..
Thanks in advanceHi Ivy,
Thanks for the quick response. the note provided is for SRM 7.0 and SRM 7.0 EHP1 packages and currently we are in SRM 7.0 EHP2
Can you please guide me in configuring the settings required in DMS in ECC side.
1. Is it mandatory to use only document type of SRM in ECC or any Z-Document type can be used ?
2. Wat is the relevant settings to be mapped in DC10, DC20 and DC30 . If possible guide me step by step of settings for the document type to send the attachment in PR.
3. Does the system sends the document in URL or as an attachment to SC ?

Fetching email with attachments in Tomcat
I'm trying to process emails with attachments using following code and it works fine in standalone java application, but when I run this code on Tomcat it treates all messages as not multipart. Class of all contents got from messages is SharedByteArrayInputStream.
I'm using jdk1.6.0_27 and javamail1_4_5
I put mail.jar in WEB-INF/lib of my war.
Can anyone help my how to deal with this? What's wrong?
package test;
import java.util.Arrays;
import java.util.List;
import java.util.Properties;
import javax.mail.Folder;
import javax.mail.Message;

import javax.mail.Session;
import javax.mail.Store;

private static Store store;
private static Folder folder;
* @param args
* @throws Exception
public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {
try {
List<Message> messages = getMessages("...", "...", "...");
for (Message mess : messages) {
System.out.println(mess.getSentDate());
Object content = mess.getContent();
if (content instanceof Multipart) {
System.out.println("miltipart");
} else {
System.out.println("plain");
} finally {
close();
public static List<Message> getMessages(String host, String userName, String password) throws Exception {
if (store != null || folder != null) {
throw new IllegalStateException("There are open and closed messages exist");
// create empty properties
Properties props = new Properties();
// get session
Session session = Session.getDefaultInstance(props, null);
try {
// get the store
store = session.getStore("pop3");
store.connect(host, userName, password);
// get folder
folder = store.getFolder("INBOX");
folder.open(Folder.READ_ONLY);
// get directory
return Arrays.asList(folder.getMessages());
} catch (MessagingException e) {
throw new Exception("Exception while mail receiving ", e);
public static void close() throws MessagingException {
// close connection
if (folder != null) {
folder.close(false);
if (store != null) {
store.close();
folder = null;
store = null;
}But I found another interesting issue.
When I run my application everything works fine on first iteration. According to my code I get default instance of Session, get Store, get Folder and at last getMessages. After processing messages I close folder and store.
But if I don't restart my application and try to get messages again all of the SAME messages became plain (SharedByteArrayInputStream) again (as it was earlier).
If I restart my application first iteration works fine and others fails.
In both iterations used the same instance of class where I put Thread.currentThread().setContextClassLoader(BaseEmailService.class.getClassLoader());
What I must reinitialize to make it works on each iteration? -
Sending email from Oracle Forms with attachments
Hi,
Is there any package or option available in Oracle forms to send email with attachments?
Your reply will be highly appreciated.
Regds,
nonedaThere are a couple of ways to send email (with attachements) from Oracle Forms. Check out these links to some examples.
using OLE2 or CLIENT_OLE2 to access a mail-client via Mail-Api ( Get and set Outlook properties )
using MAILTO in conjunction with HOST or CLIENT_HOST to "start" a mail-client ( Re: Open Microsoft Outlook new massage with TO containing the email address )
using UTL_SMTP for database-side-mailing ( Re: Send mail with attachment )
Hope this helps,

Procedure for Sending Emails with Attachments
Hi All,
Q1. We wish to write a PROCEDURE that sends emails with attachments in SQL. Can someone please suggest the procedure code for the same?
Q2. Apart from DBMS_JOB utlity can any other this procedure be scheduled to send automatic emails picking up files from a remote filer randomly.
Regards,
Chinmayhttp://www.lv2000.com/articles/utlsmtp.htm
I do not understand what the article is trying to say when it says this:
<quote>
1. You cannot send a Subject line with your email.
2. You cannot add attachments to your message.
Hopefully, these two deficiencies will be rectified in future releases!
</quote>
The entire email sending code with attachments is freely available from Oracle (sitting on top of utl_smtp package). No need to buy additional software. -
How can i secure email with attachments using coldfusion
Hi,
I need to send emails with attachments containg word, excel or PDF documents using cfmail. However this email needs to be really secure. How is the best way to secure the entire email with its attachments.
Any ideas appreciated

ZubairHi ,
I hope the following will help you..., using the UTL_SMTP db package.
DECLARE

PROCEDURE send_header(name IN VARCHAR2, header IN VARCHAR2) AS

UTL_SMTP.WRITE_DATA(c, name || ': ' || header || UTL_TCP.CRLF);
END;

-- Open connection to SMTP gateway
c := UTL_SMTP.OPEN_CONNECTION('smtp.server.acme.com');
UTL_SMTP.HELO(c, 'acme.com');
UTL_SMTP.MAIL(c, '[email protected]');
UTL_SMTP.RCPT(c, '[email protected]');
UTL_SMTP.OPEN_DATA(c);
send_header('From', '"Oracle Admin" ');
send_header('To', '"Bob Smith" ');
send_header('Subject', 'Automated Database Email');
UTL_SMTP.WRITE_DATA(c, utl_tcp.CRLF || 'This is an automated email from the Oracle database.');
UTL_SMTP.WRITE_DATA(c, utl_tcp.CRLF || 'The database is working for you!');
UTL_SMTP.CLOSE_DATA(c);
UTL_SMTP.QUIT(c);

Can not view (some) emails with attachments
There has already been some discussion about individuals getting the "This message has not been downloaded from the server" error.
http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=4983643
Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I am using GMail and am having problems reading (some) emails with attachments. I can read the first several lines through the preview view, but can not open (some) emails without getting the "This message has not been downloaded from the server" error.
The problem appears to be completely random. The problem occurs sometimes after I open the email on my computer, and other times it occurs before I open the email on my computer. And sometimes opening the email on my computer does not cause any problem opening the email on my phone.
I have seen this problem on two different phones now and have re-created the email accounts on both phone several times. But the problems keeps (eventually) appearing--for some, but not all emails.
PowerBook G4, Macintosh 512K iPod nano (2nd Gen 8GB), iPhone (8GB)So, I think things are actually sending/downloading and it's just taking time and the iphone is defaulting to the error message.
I don't think that's the case. I have several week-old messages on my iPhone (each under 300k) that still say "The message has not been downloaded from the server."
I've been connected to wifi for over an hour now, so that's plenty of time to downloaded these few small emails. I can read the "preview" of the message from the Inbox screen, but when I click on the message itself, I get the error.
And, those messages with the attachments that I was able to open this morning? I can no longer open them now. Very, very frustrating. -
Problem with attachments and antivirus.scanners
Hi!
Problem is: Sending any attachment from Tiger (10.4.8) mail, all attachments are removed by a virus scanner at receiving end:
This message was modified by F-Secure Anti-Virus E-Mail Scanning.
Tried Windows friendly, text only, repair permissions, sending under other isp etc. no help.
If this same message with same attachment is send from next mac with Panther, it is received ok.
Receiving company is big and wont alter their virus-scanners and the problem clearly lies in Tiger.
Any help welcome.
Mac OS X (10.4.8)The subject of your message should have been "Problems with attachments and F-Secure antivirus" since this is not a problem with all antivirus software, only with F-Secure.
Check this thread for a possible temporary solution when sending attachments to those who use F-Secure.

CREATE OR REPLACE
TYPE rec_type AS OBJECT (
first_name VARCHAR2(20),
last_name VARCHAR2(20)
CREATE OR REPLACE
TYPE REC_TYPE_TAB AS TABLE OF rec_type
I am able to create the above types in oracle and used in PL/SQL packages. And like this I have somany types. I would like to if I can create a package with the types to make the life easier. Could you please tell me how to do it.
your help is greately appreciated..

When used correctly types can be the simplest solution.
For example when passing multiple values to a stored procedure. Avoiding the type in the below example would lead to further complexity and aggravation not lessen it.
SQL> create or replace procedure p
2 (
3 p_object_list in sys.odcivarchar2list,
4 p_result out sys_refcursor
5 ) as
6 begin
7 open p_result for
8 select owner, object_name, object_type
9 from all_objects
10 where object_name in
11 (
12 select column_value from
13 table(p_object_list)
14 )
15 order by
16 owner, object_name, object_type;
17 end;
18 /
Procedure created.
SQL> exec p(sys.odcivarchar2list('DUAL','ALL_OBJECTS'),:c)
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
SQL> print c
OWNER OBJECT_NAME OBJECT_TYPE
PUBLIC ALL_OBJECTS SYNONYM
PUBLIC DUAL SYNONYM
SYS ALL_OBJECTS VIEW

I recently built a new computer running Win 8.1. However, I have had trouble sending and receiving attachments with Earthlink Webmail on Firefox. I sometimes cannot see attachments to emails I receive, although the size of the file indicates they are there. When I try to send an email with attachments, the browser contacts Earthlink, and then the message reappears, but the attachments have been stripped. If I hit Send again, the message goes, but without the attachments. If I re-attach the attachments and hit send, they are again stripped. I contacted Earthlink support, and they told me it is a problem with Firefox. I then tried IE and was able to send the attachments without a problem.
I would really appreciate any help as Firefox is my browser of choice.1. Not sure how to send an email in a private browsing window... I use Earthlink Web Mail and I cannot find anything on that site about private browsing window.
2. Have not tried this yet, but will when I get a chance.
3. Not sure. My old computer ran XP. Never had the problem with it. Right now, it is not connected to the internet, so can't check it.
4. I neglected to mention... I did try IE and it worked fine.
I do have Norton 360 installed, but it was not a problem on the XP machine.
Thanks for your response. I have been so busy lately that I just now picked up your response. I have not had time t to try anything else.
As far as the file type, I was trying to send pdf files. Have not tried other file types.
Earthlink limits messages (and attachments) to 20 MB. The files were less than 3 MB. -
How to use single ant build to package with and without native extensions
Hi,
I am using iOS native extensions for Adobe air. For this I am listing the extensionid in the application descriptor file. Since the package with native extensions are meant to run only on device, I want my build script to work without native extensions too to be able to run on simulator. Is this manadatory that I need two separate application descriptors/basically two build scripts to compile and package them? Please suggest and let me know if more explanation is needed.
Thanks,
Swathi.why are you wanting to use single frames?
They allow having the initial frame address stay in the
address bar, and not
show the linked page's address. The problems they cause
usually override any
value.
Or- if we aren't using the same words the same way, please
give an example
site of what you want to do.
