Miantanence Optimizer--terminating at Step 1

Hi,
We have our maintanence optimizer in place (SOLMAN 4.0) & were initially able to download sp's.
However, now; after selecting the system,it does not proceed to Step 2.
Also, there is no error. It just displays "Procedure XXXXX saved"
SAP-OSS & SAPOSS RFC's are working fine.
Please help, since we urgently need to download the sp's.
Thanks a lot,
Saba.

Dear Saba,
Could you please implement note no. 1008717 to your system and
check, if problem could be solved?
Should note already be implemented, please read the descriptions from
note 997780 concerning actually missing configuration!
If problem still persists, let me know.
Regards
Amit

  • Terminating Activity step with error

    Hi,
I have an Activity step which task executes a method of a class. This method returns result code (and I do binding to WF) and if it is not 0 I would like to terminate this step (workitem) in error status. How is the best and easiest way to do this?
    Thank you in advance,
    Anna

    Thank you.
But I am not able to set any handling in case of error of this step - if this fails it must be possible to see in worfklow log as error. If I set an exception in method and later not catch it in workfow, would I see it as erroneus?

  • Hello I am on a macbook pro (retina IOS 9) i have installed xcodes and command line tools but codeblocks does not compile, terminal gives this message /Users/MacPc/Desktop/Untitled1: Permission denied      any one has a solution

Hello I am on a macbook pro (retina IOS 9) i have installed xcodes and command line tools but codeblocks does not compile, terminal gives this message /Users/MacPc/Desktop/Untitled1: Permission denied      any one has a solution?? please...

Back up all data before proceeding.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:
    sudo find ~ $TMPDIR.. -exec chflags -h nouchg,nouappnd,noschg,nosappnd {} + -exec chown -h $UID {} + -exec chmod +rw {} + -exec chmod -h -N {} + -type d -exec chmod -h +x {} + 2>&-
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take several minutes to run, depending on how many files you have. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if you prefer not to take it, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
              Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open. In that window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
               ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

  • ZENWSbrowser or C1 - Remote Control on a terminal server

When launching ZENWSBrowser or C1 Remote Control on a terminal server Step 1
I login as user "A" and am able to successfully Remote Control, View, ETC...
any workstation. But while user "A" is logged in to the terminal server,
User "B" or any Other user that logs into the Terminal Server and tries to
remote control, after selecting the WS then selecting Remote Control, View,
ETC... this user "B" gets nothing however User "A" who is still logged in
gets User "B" requested remote control session. Any Ideas?

I could write a small wrapper that killed Java.exe when Desktop4.exe was
    launched.
I don't know if that would help you.
If you want me to do that, drop me at note at my email craig_d_wilson at
    yahoo.
It would take me all of about 5 minutes.

  • Crazy installer issues

At first I thought this was a problem with a particular application's installer, but now I see it is endemic. I am using
    iMac 27" (Mid-2010) 2.93GHz, 16 GB RAM, OS X 10.9.2
Whenever I try to run an installer-dependent application I get as far as entering my computer password. Then I see "Preparing [application name]" and then POOF, the installer is gone. This happens even using apps that I have previously installed successfully. I have repaired permissions, rebooted in Safe Mode using an Admin test account and tried every other trick I can think of.
Here's the Installer Log for one of the applications I tried to install:

Some of your user files (not system files) have incorrect permissions or are locked. This procedure will unlock all your user files, reset their ownership, and remove their access-control lists. If you've set special values for those attributes, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
    Back up all data.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Enter the following command in the Terminal window in the same way as before (triple-click, copy, and paste):
    { sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR..; sudo chown -R $UID:staff ~ $_; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_; chmod -R -N ~ $_; } 2>&-
This time you'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it.

  • I can't save downloads to documents folder, only to desktop...

Only desktop saves are allowed.  The message states, "Word cannot save or create this file.  This disk may be full or write protected..." The disk isn't full, so I'm not sure what to do.  I'm having to save everything to the desktop and then move files into document folders in Finder.  Any advice on how to save directly to documents or what may be wrong?   Thanks so much!.

    Back up all data now.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. You can demote it back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
    sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -R $UID:20 ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ 2> /dev/null
Be sure to select the whole line by triple-clicking anywhere in it. You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. You don't need to post the warning. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar. A text window opens.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    resetpassword
That's one word with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window opens. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.

  • FileSync Failure On Mobile Account Home Directory

    Hardware
    Server
    Mac Mini Mid-2012, OS X 10.9.5, Server 3.1.2, OpenDirectory ON, HomeDirectory: /Volumes/HomeFolders/Users
    Client
    iMac 21.5-inch, Late 2012, OS X 10.9.5, MobileAccount
    Network
Server exists on a foreign subnet. Client binds to OD Replica on local network. Authentication works without issue. SSH connections to Server work flawlessly. SCP can be used to move files across the network without issue.
    Situation
User account automatically creates a mobile profile on any system used. This is set in Workgroup Manager for all users of this User's type.
The local machine has successfully created a Mobile Account for the user, and User is able to use the machine without complication, except that User complains none of his personal files are present.
Home Sync reports last sync as being "Incomplete".
    Attempted Corrections
The log file had indicated that the synchronization process was being cancelled by the next synchronization which started automatically after 20 minutes. To correct this problem, I changed the HomeSync settings to start only on "Manual" requests.
After this change, I observed that the log file that a file was missing.  I ran SCP to duplicate the home folder on the local machine, replacing the home folder that had been already created.  I no longer find the missing file issue.
I found an article suggesting that deleting the .FileSync folder from the local and remote home folders would force the system to re-evaluate the status of the sync.  I deleted these folders in order to allow the system to recreate them.  The system continues to have Incomplete home sync processes.
    Help Required
I am unable to interpret the remaining EXCEPTION lines in the log file.  I appreciate any help deciphering the next steps in fixing the Home Sync process.  I appreciate any tips or advice on what causes Home Sync to fail in these situations, and if any person has information on how to create a local mirror that would be referenced for the HomeSync rather than the main server, that information would be greatly appreciated.

Some of your user files (not system files) have incorrect permissions or are locked. This procedure will unlock those files and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
Back up all data before proceeding.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Enter the following command in the Terminal window (triple-click, copy, and paste):
    sudo find ~ $TMPDIR.. -exec chflags -h nouchg,nouappnd,noschg,nosappnd {} + -exec chown -h $UID {} + -exec chmod +rw {} + -exec chmod -h -N {} + -type d -exec chmod -h +x {} + 2>&-
The command may take several minutes to run, depending on how many files you have.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button
    Select
               ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

  • System Preferences no longer stick after 10.10.1 update

    I've upgraded from OS X 10.10 to 10.10.1 today.
The upgrade caused various system preferences to change, and now I cannot change them back.
While System Preferences.app seems to accept my changes, they are reverted after I quit and restart System Preferences.
    For example:
    Language & Region:
    - I used to have various languages in the list of my preferred languages. Since the update, only German remains in the list. Adding other languages does not stick.
    - My Region is set to Germany - English, which causes german text but english number formats to be used. Changing the number format to german does not stick.
    General:
    - When I click the scroll bar, this now causes the document to move by one page. I used to have the other setting (move to that location), but cannot reenable that.
    - Windows are now closed upon quitting applications. I don't want this, but removing the check box does not stick.
Does anybody have an idea what the root cause may be and how to fix this?
    With kind regards
    Piers Walter

    Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.

• Mac App Store, Evernote and iMovie will not let me click on anything

After I open the App Store/Software Update, anything within the App Store is unclickable (even the menu bar at the top of the screen). I have to force quit the application in order to close it. I have tried to restart the computer, to no avail. I get the same results whether I open the "App Store" or I go through "Software Update". If I get an update reminder pop up notification, I can click 'install' on that, but it does nothing after it goes away. The only available update the App Store shows available is iMovie ver. 10.0.5. Everything responds to my mouse when I hover over an item, but I can't click on anything.
Also, this is happening to one other application so far. Evernote. I have used Evernote for some time without a problem, but soon after this began to occur, my Evernote started showing the same symptoms.
    •     I have Sophos for virus software. I turned it off, no change.
    •     I checked my firewall settings and App Store connections are allowed.
    •     I don't have any Apps like Little Snitch, at least that I am aware of that would block connections

  • Am I doing something wrong or are these bugs?

    Hi All,
I have migrated my Mac from a MacPro 1,1 to a MacMini 6,2 with fusion drive. My other 4 drives are connected using a USB3 4-bay enclosure. 16GB RAM. The system is ML 10.8.2. I have run Onyx recently, but only cleared out those things that should be safe to work on (caches, monthly maintenance, etc). I have not run any MacCleaner type software.
These are some of the symptoms I am regularly having, maybe you guys can help?
    Mail:
Having real trouble receiving mail from iCloud. Sending is OK I think.
Passwords for icloud accounts don't seem to verify, and when I click OK, I often get the beachball locking the whole mail app.
When amending/checking account detials in the preferences, the order of the mailboxes in the tray changes. (is this normal?)
    Finder:
I have re-applied a new command (new email with selection ⌃⌥⌘N) but it does not work at all. It did in Lion.
Certain USB drives are showing up in the Sidebar that shouldn't be. Even when I remove them from the Sidebar they return.
    TimeMachine:
Fails at least once a day, usually compaining that it cannot create a folder. I have followed the instructions faithfully here: http://pondini.org/TM/C10.html But this does not fix things sadly.
    Overall:
Semi-general wierd feeling of inertia/sluggishness (maybe I expect more from a brand new system?). I don't know if this is to do with the fusion drive learning what to put onto the SSD? But I only have 165GB on disk, and I am trying to keep that number below 128GB.
Apps like Photoshop and indesign take a lot longer to open up than even a colleagues MacPro 1,1 with LESS RAM and a crucial SSD drive.
Can you tell me if this could (realistically) have anything to do with Migrating the system rather than starting completely fresh? It's essentially the same system I have been using since 2007, and maybe before. If this is the case, what would you recommend to help clear out the cobwebs?
Thanks for your attention and help,
    Aaron

Back up all data. Don't continue unless you're sure you can restore from a backup, even if you're unable to log in.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click the following line to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    { sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -Rh $UID:staff ~ $_ ; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ ; } 2> /dev/null
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Step 1 should give you usable permissions in your home folder. This step will restore special attributes set by OS X on some user folders to protect them from unintended deletion or renaming. You can skip this step if you don't consider that protection to be necessary, and if everything is working as expected after step 1.
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not  going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

  • Why doesn't my Mac mini retain settings?

Since I installed Mountain Lion, my Mac mini does not retain settings. Every day, I have to reverse the scroll direction of my mouse. I have to remove apps from my dock that I removed the day before but now have reappeared (this actually happened before installing Mountain Lion, too).
When I enter usernames, nothing is ever "smart" - I have to type the whole thing.
These are just some of the quirky things that are going on.
