MIB file collections

Every year or so, I download ftp.cisco.com/pub/mibs/v2/v2.tar.gz and /pub/mibs/v1/v1.tar.gz and update my Cisco MIB collection
I'm realizing that none of these files have changed over the last several years ... not, in fact, since 2008.  Has Cisco really not changed any MIB files over the last couple years?  Or is there a glitch in the process which updates these tar files?

    Hi Vlad,
So, a few times a year, I grab the latest MIB file collection from ftp.cisco.com/pub/mibs and update my network mgmt stations.
In the current collection, some MIB files reference Object Values which are not defined anywhere, as you have noted.
For example, in the IMPORTS section of CISCO-LWAPP-AP-MIB, I see:
        cldRegulatoryDomain
            FROM CISCO-LWAPP-DOT11-MIB
But nowhere in CISCO-LWAPP-DOT11-MIB (nor in any other MIB file included in v2.tar.gz) is cldRegulatoryDomain defined
Now, I can comment out this import and get past this issue ... while CISCO-LWAPP-AP-MIB imports cldRegulatoryDomain, nowhere does it actually /use/ it ... so commenting out the import has no impact.
However CtsSgaclMonitorMode is used a /lot/ in CISCO-TRUSTSEC-TC-MIB ... and commenting out all those occurrences is a bit of a bear (CISCO-TRUSTSEC-TC-MIB tries to IMPORT it from CISCO-TRUSTEC-POLICY-MIB, which doesn't contain it ... )
Nothing new here -- I've been doing this for years, and each time I download v2.tar.gz, I find errors, which I either fix or dodge around ... but this time, the extent of these errors is slowing me down more than usual, so I figured I'd post here and see if I can find a longer term fix, or at least a way to help out by reporting what I find.
Your thoughts on how I might proceed?

  • Need help to find the correct .MIB-file

    Hi.
We are using some Nexus 7009 chassis on my work and a program called "SNMPc" that receives traps from our Nexus devices.
The program do not have the new Nexus 7000 MIBs so we are only getting "pure text" from Nexus.
We need to download the right type of MIB file so we can get a better understanding of what is happening on the Nexus.
We can ONLY use ".mib" extensions but Cisco currently only offering ".traps", ".my" and ".oid" files what I can find.
This is an example message we get:
    ciscoMgmt.706.0.1 [1] ifName.437260288 (DisplayString): Ethernet3/2 [2] ciscoMgmt.706.1.1.0 (Integer): 5 [3] ciscoMgmt.706.1.2.0 (Integer): 5 [4] ciscoMgmt.706.1.3.0 (Integer): 5 [5] ciscoMgmt.706.1.4.0 (Integer): 5 [6] ciscoMgmt.706.1.5.0 (Integer): 5 [7] ciscoMgmt.706.1.6.0 (Integer): 5 [8] ciscoMgmt.706.1.7.0 (Integer): 5 [9] ciscoMgmt.706.1.8.0 (Integer): 4 [10] ciscoMgmt.706.1.9.0 (Integer): 5 [11] ciscoMgmt.706.1.10.0 (Integer): 5 [12] ciscoMgmt.706.1.11.0 (Integer): 5 [13] snmpTrapEnterprise.0 (ObjectID): ciscoMgmt.706
We can see that the trap name is: 1.3.6.1.4.1.56.12.1.1.0.1
Can someone help me get the right MIB?

Silly question but have your tried changing the file extension of the .my files to .mib  ?  I typically have to do something like that for net-snmp with Cisco MIB files...

  • AE CC 13.0.2 on Mac OSX 10.9.5 - file collecting feature does not work anymore

hi, I am experiencing issues with the file collecting feature out of AE CC 13.0.2 on Mac OSX 10.9.5. I have the same kind of problems on my MacBook Pro Retina 15'' (2014) with 1TB SSD and 16 GB Ram and on my iMac (mid 2011 3,4 GHz Intel Core i7 16 GB RAM). I open a project without any problem, then try to collect onto an external hard drive. AE gives me error message, it cannot find a certain file (never the same file, I tried many times). I hand collected a current project onto external HD from my MacBook Pro, went to my imac, opened the hand collected Project from external HD (again no issue while opening) then again tried to perform the collect command. again error message notifying me that a certain file is missing. This is the case with different AE projects!! The After Effects collect files command to me is a very important feature that provides backup safety. with this feature not properly working I feel insecure, I need to fix this  asap.

Oh yes. My bad. It is in face the one-second mark. And it is in every
    project I have tried.
The assets in the first project that I noticed this happening on (which was
also the first project I opened after upgrading to OSX 10.10.2) include:
    - Solid background with a color gradient
    - Alpha Track Matte
    - Optical Flare
    - Particular
    - Null object
But this exact same problem occurs with every project I've tried to export,
regardless of what's in the project/comp

  • Is it possible to load a dump file collected from sql server to orcle 10gR2

    Hi..
As a part of data migration from legacy systems , we need to migrate only required tables from Sql server to Oracle 10gr2 .
At present client is telling that he will give it as dump file.
My question is , Is it possible to load the dump file collected from sql server to oracle 10gR2?
    Thanks in advance ..

    yes, it is.
Using for example SQL Developer Migration Workbench even allows you to create unload scripts for the desired SQL Server tables and it also creates the DDL scripts for you to create the Oracle tables similar to the SQL Server table AND it alows creates the SQL*Loader scripts that allow you to load the SQL Server generated dump file into the Oracle db.
    Here the link:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/migration/workbench/index_sqldev_omwb.html
If you do not want to use this utility, you can also use SQL*Loader to load the content of the SQL Server dump file into the Oracle database; but in this case you have to write the whole SQL*Loader control scripts on your own.

You're likely far better off leaving the jar "jar'd" as it is, and adding it to your class path. How do you add it to the classpath in netbeans? I don't know as I don't use netbeans, but I'm sure the help section will tell you.He can do that by referencing it through a pathname if he has it in the root project directory in netbeans. The bits I added was for his benefit as he now has an idea of where to look for source code directly and for the javadoc files etc that netbeans will generate for you. NetbeansProjects is where to go look.

  • Linksys e3000 MIB file ??

I have installed Tomato 1.28 firmware onto a Linksys e3000 router.  I want to set up SNMP checks but I have no idea where to find the MIB file for this device.
Could somebody please help me locate a MIB file for this device ?

Hi routerman10! I am not too sure if you can really find that file on that device. As far as I know for some products, product information would just say it supports SNMP ver. 2.0 and SNMP MIB I and II but it's not really a file can really be found on the device itself. Since you are looking for the MIB file and you do have Tomato firmware on your router, you can try asking from Tomato Support  like what sabretooth suggested.

Hi Ram, yes the MIB can be used. The switches are essentially the same in many regards (especially on a software level).
I do not know the OID for bandwidth. If you're looking for a particular OID may be this tool helps you

  • 6140 MIB File for SNMP/6140 Monitoring

    Hi,
im looking for a MIB file for 6140 Disk Array. I found only 3510 MIB file, but nothing related to 6140.
The target of my actual task is setting up monitoring on a 6140 Array from a customer. We are using Big Sister Monitoring Software.
3510 monitoring was no problem due to the fact that it was easily getting some status infos via Command Line Tool, this has changed since 6140 is using a new kind of management application, which doesnt seems to give useable output directly (regarding to a colleague) and requires login.
Any Suggestions e.g. other ways than snmp for monitoring? Status-Sites from the web-frontend?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
I have the same problem : finding the 6140's mib to identify traps.
I guess that SUN-SAM-MIB.mib may be the good one, but I'm not sure.
to get it, I have downloaded StorageTek SAM-FS 4.6 and searched for mibs inside.
could someone confirm I found the good mib
    thanks
