MIB walk for a router with MPLS enabled interfaces

To perform some testing in an agent I am building, I need a MIB walk for a router with MPLS enabled interfaces. I would greatly appreciate help with this MIB walk

You can do a walk-through of the MIB by running a command such as getmany -v2c public mplsLsrMIB . For detailed instructions refer http://cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_2t/12_2t2/feature/guide/lsrmibt.html.

  • Cisco 7200 as managed cpe with mpls enabled

Is there any real network that is using managed CPE (CPE router managed by SP) with mpls enabled (MPLS-TE, VPN) etc.
Is anybody using cisco 7200 as a managed cpe router with mpls.
    Thanks.
    subodh

with PE router, Service provider handles so many CE routers (of customers).
Managed CPE router will be placed at the customer site and will handle only one customer.
Is there any company/customer that have so big network that they need cisco 7200 at there site and this CPE does MPLS-TE,MPLS-VPN.
could u pl. name some companies that are availing this king of services from service provider.
{as cisco 7200 is also capable of providing voip solution to customer}.

  • Can't connect to Netgear router with WPA enabled (MBP)

I just received a Macbook pro today, everything is wonderful except wireless networking. When it first started up, it detected my wireless network, showed me the SSID, and asked for a password. I entered the password, and it failed to connect. I decided to try later and did the rest of the install.
I connected via cabled ethernet and downloaded all of the updates. For a machine that shipped from the Apple store (custom config) a few days ago, I was surprised at having 13 LARGE updates to download. Grabbed them all, including a Firmware update which required two reboots. One for everything else, and another for the firmware.
I tried again from sysprefs, and asked for the diagnostics. It asks me for my WEP key, and there is no option for WPA. I tried entered the WPA key anyway, despite only three WEP options showing up, and it still fails.
Going through the Airport 'tab' and editing the connection, I get an option for WPA Personal, Enterprise, WPA 2 Personal, and WPA2 Enterprise as well.
I tried using WPA Personal and WPA 2 Personal and entering the key which works on other notebooks, still no joy.

Which Netgear router do you have? I use the Netgear
RangeMax WPN824 and works well with WPA enabled but I
think it may have failed to work the first time.
WGT624 v2. Works fine with other wireless devices from a number of vendors, and is detected by the Mac, but I can't connect. I don't want to disable WPA if I can help it, I have a number of other systems configured for it as is, plus guests that come to visit.
but some how I had to delete the connection,
let airport find it again and re-enter the password
to get it to work. One of those things I kind of did
in the process of troubleshooting and can't remember
exactly how it was I did it
I'll try that and see if it helps. Thanks for following up.
UPDATE: Sure enough, I deleted the network and added it back in by manually specifying the SSID and password, and it works now. No idea why, but there it is... thank you very much.

  • Linksys router with wep enabled

    Hi,
Im trying to use WIFI on my touch with my network secured. I have entered the password and it is accepted however the touch says it cant find the server. When I de-activate the WEP security on my router everything works as advertised. I have no idea what to put in the following items in set up
    HTTP Proxy
    Server
    Port (Http should be 80)
    Auth
i have tried entering manual username and password as i would for earthlink and this didnt help. When in un-secured mode it didnt ask and everything worked. Help

Make sure that you type in the code, rather than your username. You should be able to find it on your Linksys router under a tab that says wireless security. Type in, in your internet browser's address bar: 192.168.1.1. That should bring up the interface for you router.
For WEP, you should have 128 bit encryption, which means that your passphrase should be 13 letters long. If you have to change this, the other devices in your network will have to be changed to reflect the new passphrase. You should also power off your router when you introduce a new device into your network.
Have you thought about using WPA or WPA2? Usually this works better than WEP which is not as secure.
Power off your iTouch by pressing the button at the top. Turn it on again and see if you can get access to your network.

  • Not able to connect my Iphone to my WRT54GS router with security enabled

As the subject line states, I'm not able to connect my Iphone to my WRT54GS router when the security is enabled. When ever I attempt to connect to my network with my phone it always tells me the password is incorrect. I have double checked the password in the easylink advisor and it matches up. I have also tried both WPA and WEP with the same result, I know that the wireless is working on the router as I turned the security off and was able to connect to it. I updated the firmware this evening also with no changes. If anyone could help me with this issue it would be much appreciated.

First of all, in the router, give your network a unique SSID. Do not use "linksys". If you are using "linksys" you may be trying to connect to your neighbor's router. Also, in the router, set "SSID Broadcast" to "enabled". This will help your iPhone find and lock on to your router's signal.
To connect using WEP, enter WEP "key 1"  (found in the router)  into the iPhone, not the WEP password or passphrase.
To connect using WPA, make sure that there is not an encryption nomenclature problem.  For example, WPA is not the same as WPA with AES.  Please note the following:
WPA    =   PSK    =   WPA with TKIP  =  WPA   personal
    WPA2  =   PSK2  =   WPA with AES   =  WPA2 personal
I am not certain, but your iPhone probably does just ordinary WPA  (not WPA with AES).  Assuming that this is correct, then the router should be set to:
    "WPA personal"  with  "TKIP"
Also, in the iPhone, be sure to delete the entry for your unsecured connection to your router, before you try to input info regarding the secured connection to the router.
    Hope this helps.

  • Error message when connect to wireless router with wifi enabled phone

    Wireless router model WRT54G Ver.2
i would like to seek help on this.
I have been using a wirreless router to access the internet with my computer and it has been working fine. recently i got a handphone with wifi capability (nokia 5800). I managed to connect the phone to connect to the wireless router (it says so in the phone status). but when i tried to open the browser in the phone i got an error message "No Gateway Reply".
Can anyone help me to troubleshoot?
    I enable WEP for security.
another thing is, i tried to use the phone to connect to another wireless router at the cafe, it worked well.
    thanks

When you connect your handphone to your wireless network, whats the IP address you are getting it on your handphone, if required you can provide a static ip on your handphone i.e IP : 192.168.1.10, Subnet : 255.255.255.0, Default Gateway : 192.168.1.1, DNS1: 4.2.2.2, DNS2 : 4.2.2.1 and after this you can restart your handphone and try to check if you are able to go online or not.

  • Cisco Router 12406 MPLS physical interface problem!

I want to monitor a router interface with a NMS program, but i can't collect the data from this interface.
    I was trying with:
snmpwalk  -v2c -c community 10.100.xxx.xx 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.19 the result was that is missing the oid named ifOutDiscards for the interface that i want to monitor.
How can i fix this problem?

    Hello Flo,
what kind of interface is this ? is it a POS Sonet/SDH interface?
my guess is that ifOutDiscards may be related to LAN type interfaces
"The number of outbound packets which were chosen to be
discarded even though no errors had been detected to prevent
their being transmitted.  One possible reason for discarding
such a packet could be to free up buffer space.
Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at
re-initialization of the management system, and at other
times as indicated by the value of
    ifCounterDiscontinuityTime."
Actually from description it looks like the variable should apply also to POS interfaces
    see
    http://tools.cisco.com/Support/SNMP/do/BrowseOID.do?objectInput=1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.19&translate=Translate&submitValue=SUBMIT

  • With MPLS - No Fragmantation with MTU Size 1501-1504

Ping with MTU 1500 and 1505 is OK.
Ping with MTU 1501-1504 doesn?t work - there is no fragmantation done.
This occures on a Cisco7200 and Cisco7500 where traffic is sended via a labeld switch path: MTU-Size from the Fast/Gig Eth-Interface is set to 1500. With no MPLS "no mpls ip" everthing works fine.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
    Thanks and Regards
    Erich

    Hello,
did you configure "mpls mtu 1512" on all MPLS enabled interfaces? F.e.:
    interface FastEthernet0/0/0
    mpls mtu 1512
This would allow for as much as 3 labels.
There is no fragmentation for labeled packets, only for IP. So this could be a software/hardware bug as well.
Hope this helps! Please rate all posts.

  • How to do destination NAT in a 2600 router with IOS 12.3?

    Hi All
I have a 2600 router with two LAN interfaces which I am using for a PoC and has the following settings:
    FE 0/0 - 10.0.0.1/24 - client LAN - inside
    FE 0/1 - 10.1.1.1/24 - server LAN - outside
The direction of the flows are from the clients to the servers. What I would like to achieve is when clients accessing the web server 10.1.1.10, this to be replaced by 10.1.1.100.
I have tried the above a few times but doesn't work. Is the above possible? And If so please provide me with a sample config.
    Many Thanks
    [email protected]

Yes, you can do this.  You don't need destination NAT.  Source NAT translations work both ways.  This should work:
ip nat inside source static tcp 10.1.1.100 80 10.1.1.10 80
    int fa 0/0
    ip nat inside
    int fa 0/1
    ip nat outside
The bigger question is why you'd want to.  Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD.  Unless you have the 10.1.1.0 network subnetted or some sort of firewall/blocking in place, both IPs should be reachable by the hosts.  Why not just have them go directly to 10.1.1.100 instead of going to 10.1.1.10?  If there's a firewall or similar blocking 10.1.1.100, why not adjust your firewall settings instead?  You could have a valid reason for doing this but I can't think of very many scenarios off the top of my head where this would make sense.  If you can post more details on what you're trying to accomplish, you might get better advice on a better way to solve the problem.

  • Intervlan Routing with 6500 switch

I am designing an upgrade to our current network that will contain a 6500 switch and i wanted to setup vlans with the switch. I know that this switch has the ability to perform routing on its own so i do not need an external router to route between the vlans but if that is the case what default gateway do i give each vlan? Do i give the vlan ip address as the default gateway for the end devices or do i use an IP address in the switch somehow as the default gateway?
    Thanks.
    Pete

    Hi,
Think of the MSFC as a router with many different interfaces. Your router itself would only have one default gateway for all those interfaces. For the clients, they will sit in each VLAN that you create. The clients default gateway will be the VLAN IP address (or HSRP address) on the 6500 that they sit. So, if you create vlan100 and put an IP address of 10.10.10.1 on the vlan100 interface..the 10.10.10.1 address would be the gateway for the clients in vlan 100. If you create a vlan200 and put an IP address of 10.11.11.1 on that interface..all the clients that are in vlan200 would have the gateway address of 10.11.11.1.
    Hope that helps.

  • ROUTERS AND ADAPTERS FOR WIRELESS CONNECTIONS WITH DESKTOP PC'S

I am looking for a router with security and antenna's for 3 home based desktop PC's

    A)  All Linksys wireless routers have the option of using security (i.e. encryption).  They support WEP, WPA, and WPA2 encryption.  Additionally, all Linksys routers provide NAT (network address translation) and an SPI firewall.
    B)  All Linksys wireless routers have antennas.  Some have external antennas, and others have antennas that are built into the body of the router (i.e. no visible external antennas).  Both types of antennas seem to work OK.
To help determine what router might be best for you, please try to answer the following questions:
    1)  Do your desktop PC's already have wireless adapters?  If so, are they wireless b , g , or n ?
    2)  What do you want to do with your router?   mainly get email and surf the Internet?  play games?  play games wirelessly?  frequently transfer large files (video files) from computer to computer on your home network?
    3)  How many of your computers will be wired to the router?  How many wireless?
    4)  Do you already have a high speed Internet connection  --  who is your ISP?
    5)  Do you already have a modem ? --  please state make and exact model number.
    6)  Do your desktop PC's have an ethernet port?

  • Path Selection for Routes Across MPLS Network

Customer hub site has two CE routers with two links connected to two seperate PE routers in the Carrier's MPLS network. At the customer's remote site one CE router on a single link is connected to PE router in MPLS network.
How can I configure the CE routers at the hub site to advertised the same network across the MPLS network to the CE router at the remote site? Also, how can I configure the CE router at the remote site to select on of the router as the primary and the other as secondary? Can I use local-preference on the CE router at the remote site to selected on path over the other.
I'm not sure if this makes any sense. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Even with multiple RDs for VRFs belonging to the same VPN, you still need IBGP multipath, correct? Multiple RDs is just to get around the RR restriction.
Also, you posted this message a while back:
"If you have many VPN customers all using the same addresses (most likely rfc1918), the fact that they have different RDs and that the PE prepends the RD to the prefixes exchanged between PEs will make the same prefixes different in the MPLS VPN core
    cust1 advertises 192.168.1.0/24 with RD 1:1 therefore
    VPNv4 prefix is 1:1:192.168.1.0
    cust2 advertises 192.168.1.0/24 with RD 1:2 therefore
    VPNv4 prefix is 1:2:192.168.1.0"
My test lab does not support the IBGP multipath command, and thus even with different RDs, it still only installs one best path.
I understand that RD = make unique VPNv4 routes in SP space, and that RT = what to import into the VRF. However, I am having a hard time visualizing the scenario with mutiple RDs for the same VPN for load balancing purposes. I am trying to understand the logic behind it.
Per your example, if both 1:1 and 1:2 are received by the remote PE, assuming IBGP multipath is enabled, why would the remote PE load balance between the two links? Why would it assume that the hub subnets are reachable via two different PEs, and that it's not two different, isolated VPNs altogether?
Is it b/c you imported both 1:1 and 1:2 into a VRF at the remote PE?

  • Tracking ATM PVC enabled with MPLS

We are trying to identify a method where the ATM sub-interface enabled with Mpls shows line protocol UP but the ip reachability to the other side of the PVC is not there due to some issues in the ATM backbone.
Can we would be able to use the track 1 interface ip routing would help us . If so ,when it identifies the ip reachability on the PVC is done, will it log into the router or can it send to the management station. We are trying to deploy the same in 7600 switches running 12.2(18)SXF4.
    Thanks
    Regards
    Anantha Subramanian Natarajan

You may want to think of using OAM for PVC management. As it sends Loopback cell echoes between the end points and upon failure to receive the configured Echo Cell replies it brings the corresponding PVC down.
This may as well prevent blackholing of the traffic till the OSPF adjacency is bought down due to the failure.
Here is a link on this feature:

  • Suggestions for new router for home with Macs and PC's?

Hey everyone, my router just died (RIP WRT54G) my house is quite diverse, and I need a router that can handle it all, I have: 1) A Wii (wireless) 2) bluray player (wired) 3) internet enabled HDTV (wired) 4) a PC running Windows 7 (wired) 5) two MacBooks (wireless) and finally, 6) two iPhones (wireless, obviously) oh yeah and 7) an XBOX 360 (wired) sounds crazy now that I write it all out :P
So, I need a router that can take wired connections and wireless all at once without freaking out, any ideas?
    Thanks!

What I have in my house is an Airport Extreme with it's two (n,b or g) wireless connections for older non-N wireless connections. I then got a D-Link DGS-2208 10/100/1000Mbps 8-Port Desktop Green Ethernet Switch 8 for fast subnet sharing in the house. This speed is important for HD video sharing for from the external I have connected to the USB2 port on My Extreme.
Note: My Extreme is in "Bridged mode" because it sits behind a wired router that acts as the DHCP server.
Getting a router with Gig Ports and and USB2 port for an external to store/share files (videos mainly) to all my networked devices. The USB2 port on the Extreme was the deciding factor for the extra cost and this handy port making any USB2 external into a networked drive. Plus my older iPhone 3GS only does G it was a no-brainier because of the dual wireless.
The GIG switch is future proofing yourself for the years to come.
Plus I called the extreme but it is a Time Capsule that is just and extreme with a built-in disk.
One more thing: Use CAT6 cables in your network.

We have the latest version of leopard on our 24" imac and we have eyeconnect ver. 1.6 we need to buy a new router and i want one that is very easy(like plug it in and walk away)to use. The main priority for this is not having problems streaming media to our ps3 via eyeconnect or medialink. Wireless or wired whatever would be the best i have never actually had an airport only linksys and have been unhappy with most of them any advice welcome about the router or getting eyeconnect to be recognized by the ps3 once its hooked up. Thank you
