Mic wont work.

I cant get my microphone to work, it worked fine last week. I tried a different mic and it still wont work. So I think its my laptop.
I reinstalled my sound card and made sure it wasn't muted.

What laptop model and operating system? Also, if you know how, go into Device Manager and check for the Conexant Pebble High Definition chip. If you have that and Win 7, your microphone will continue to not function. You can work around it by using a USB microphone. HP keeps telling all of us that they are working on a "fix" and it will be out soon. I'm not sure what their definition of "out soon" is because many people have been waiting months and months.

Restore your device as NEW. Before you add any apps to it (other than the ones that come with iOS 6), try out the phone. If it still doesn't work, you'll need to go to Apple for phone replacement.

Mic wont work please someone help!

I've Creative Webcam Live Pro, and my mic wont work. I used the installation CD(webcam CD), and I tried plugging the outlet in the mic slot, and line in slot, but it still wont work. I went to the sound recording program that is installed in the XP, and it wont work. Please someone help I need to make it work.

Make sure you plug the microphone into the mic jack on your sound card.
Depending on what audio card you have, you will need to set the recording source to microphone in the audio settings. (Start, Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Volume Control, Options, Properties, Select Recording Source.) You might also selecting Mic Boost if there is an option.
Once the Mic is selected as the recording source, change back to playback (Volume Control, Options, Properties, Playback Control) and for now, make sure the microphone setting is not muted. Once that is done, try talking into the microphone to see if you can hear yourself over your speakers. If you can, then it's all set. If not, contact the company who makes your Sound card and verify the settings for enabling your microphone and specifically, what types of microphone and what range will work best (ex 600 ohmz)

Built in mic wont work with desktop version of skype

So i had skype already on the computer when i got it sense it had windows 8 well it just started to show that the skype i was using was going out of date so i decided to follow the link to download the desktop version now it wont work with my mic not sure if it a issue with microsoft end or skypes end. anyone got any ideas how to fix this problem?

Blue Snowflake Mic WONT WORK!!!

I have a MAC OS X 10.5.4 and I just got it last week. I bought Logic Express to do some recording. I know the computer comes with a built in mic but I wanted a semi good mic. So Logic Express 8 doesn't read the Blue Snowflake mics. I have read one blog about fixing this problem its just that the person that posted it was not very thorough. Can someone help me with a step by step solution so I can use this microphone to record and be able to change back to the built-in microphone when I am on Skype. My built-in microphone works as a charm. Just the microphone I paid money for doesn't and no one seems to have a concise was of explaining how to fix it. Thank you!

Mic wont work for skype

Will a few days ago i was playing this game called league of Legends and i was on skype and team speak and then suddenly my mic just stped working and i didnt do anything to the setting. It just stopped working.....Please help me.

I saw one post where a user said dust was in the small mic hole. Used a vacuum to remove and restored the audio.
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

SoundBlaster PCI 128 Crackling/Popping, Mic Wont Work Now Eith

Hello everyone, im kinda a noobie here so give me some leeway, gonna take a shot at this.
Okay, so yesterday i felt like messing around with my graphics card which led to...problems of course.
Anyway, i had to uninstall Windows XP SP and SP2, which were both on my system, i reinstalled SP2, but noticed my mic would now make large pops and crackles, and i could BARELY be heard on ventrilo. My speakers were also the same way. So, i uninstalled SP2 and put SP back in hoping something would fix itself. Still didnt work. Not sure what i messed up, but everything was perfect beforehand, there were absolutely no pops or crackles in my mic or my speakers, everything was fine. Anyone know what i can do to get back on track again?, Im going to install SP2 over SP like before tonight, but anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks alot!

I just want to suspend, and have the ability to control freqs, any suggestions?

Hey, i got the new Catalyst 8.1, and suspend works, well, only when i have to manually run " echo -n mem > /sys/power/state" it works, but if i press suspend on my keybord, or go to system>shutdown>suspend it wont work.

Usb & sdcard port wont work in windows 7

Hi all,
my usb & sdcard port wont work in windows 7, also i cant install drivers for coprocesor and the sm bus controller, I have a macbook pro 13" A1278,
I have tryed to install the drivers from the osx cd, but to no avail it just wont work,
Please can anyone help

the reason i ask is base system device can be a few differant things but about 90% of what i have seen it show up is the card reader. try to uninstall anything in device manager that has to do with the mic and restart the laptop. this will allow windows to try to find and install the correct drivers. also open realtek HD audio manager and make sure the mic is not muted.

An external mic that works with Mac? (without iMic)

Recently I bought a Cyber Acoustics microphone so I could record audio easily and quietly for my upcoming YouTube videos. The only problem is I found out about how mics that need power wont work without the iMic accessory.
So i was wondering, are there any guarenteed products that will work on an iMac for voice recording, without having to buy the iMic accesory? (And i dont want to use the internal mic as I dont want to talk to loudly to record)
Please let me know any products that will work, please see if you can find reasonably priced ones, not ones above $70 please.

Rear mic not working

The rear mic on my iphone 5s doesn't pic up sound.. wont work on siri, audio message and memo. The sound gets picked up but very muffled. did a full restore to iOS 8.1.. no luck.. any suggestions?
Have already tried cleaning the mic.

I have the same problem with my Audigy 2 ZX Platinum under WinXP SP2 with quadraphonic speakers. It appears to be a problem with the newest (or newer) drivers. For me, it happens every time I change the volume using the Creative Volume Control (or the volumn control in any Create application). I changes my Windows speaker volume settings so that only the front two speakers are set to anything but zero (channel 8 is also set to full, but I have no idea what that is for...).
My current workaround is to set the proper volume settings in Windows. For XP, I get to the control by Control Panel->Sounds and Audio Devices. There is a button there (on the Volume tab) called Speaker Volume... There are sliders for each channel there. Once I have gotten them to what I want, I DO NOT touch the volume using any Creative option (Creative Volume Control, MediaSource, etc.). That seems to work so far. Though my remote control has become pretty much useless.
?Hopefully someone can update this email on how to do this in Vista.
I will be reinstalling my older drivers if this makes me too crazy. Other posts seem to indicate that will work as well. Otherwise, I guess we just have to wait for Creative to figure this out.

My Microphone wont work on my x

I recently reformated my pc and i installed my sound card drivers etc, i use a head set with a mic, before i reformated i just used the soundcard for the most obvious reason why i bought it but i kept my mic connected to the cpu, but since i reformated i cant use either the soundcard or the cpu for my mic as it wont work, i tested another mic but that didnt work either. And MSN doesnt detect any sound in the mic when i talk in it.
