Micro battery only for asia?!

OMG! i know eventually my zen micro battery is going to die, it wont last me forever. Unfortunately, none of the local stores near me sell the zen micro battery, except wal mart(but im sure after a year, they wont sell it anymore since nobody where i li've has a zen micro, except me and some other guy i know. THEY DONT SELL IT AT BESTBUY, CIRCUITCITY, GOOD GUYS, FRYS. AND GOD!!! on the creative website, they only sell it in ASIA?!!! omg wth?! how the devil am i gonna get a muthafreakin battery?!

I have had your exact problem with my old 3GS, now I cannot even get it to turn on, I still see that it is supposed to be charging though, but it never charges any so it seems.
I replaced the Lower Dock Connector Assembly back when it still charged while hooked to my PC, and it found it made no real difference.

At this point I am not sure if I should replace the battery and hope for the best, or just junk the phone, I cannot really sell it if I cannot reset it...

Battery only lasts for about 7 hours after Update to IOS 4.2.1

Hello folks,
after I have updated my Iphone 3G to the newest firmware (4.2.1) may battery only lasts for about 7hrs in standby-mode (no tethering, umts, wifi, whatsoever), while it has been much much better before.
Does anyone of you have the problem or a solution for it?

I'm happy to tell you that the problem, at least for myself, is gone. I checked around on the forum and apparently it could be so that something went wrong when updating to 4.2.1 so restoring the phone from itunes could be the fix. I did so and the problems seams to be solved.

I've two iPod Nanos (4th gen - 8GB). I'm facing a severe problem with both of them. For both iPods, I tried to do this method Simultaneously press the top button + home (central) button. But of no use.
1. My first iPod is showing a white screen. I could not see anything. But I can listen to songs by blindly pressing the play button twice. The battery comes only for an hour.? How do I get the display and longer battery?
2. My second iPod is facing more severe problem. None of the buttons are working. When I connect it my PC it showing "CONNECTED- eject before disconnecting". But it is not ejecting with all the usual methods. When I manually and physically disconnect it from the PC the same "CONNECTED- eject before disconnecting" is still showing till the battery goes off. After that if i press any button it is showing low battery signal. And when i re-connect it to the PC the same process is repeating. When I tied to restore it to the factory settings I'm getting "Error" report.
(I'm using windows 7)

Sounds like some hardware issues, meaning you'll want to take or send the iPods in for service or repairs. You can choose to have Apple do an out of warranty exchange for the prices indicated in the link below or find another third party service perhaps even local to your area.

Be sure that the battery is fully charge then try the following:
Hit the ESC key after power on to bring up the Start up Menu and then select System Diagnostics (F2). Now run the battery test.
If the battery is OK then try the below suggestion:
Go to the Control Panel ----> Power Options and then select the HP Power Manager on the left column. You can then select one of the power plans and see the effects on battery life.
Depending on the power plan selected and what applications your are running, you may not get more than one hour on battery.

How old is your MBP? how many cycle batter do have ?
I will also recomend to use the software http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/24141/battery-health-monitor
to monitor battery life.
You should be able to read everything from the software.

MBP not charging till 100%, and the battery lasts only for 1.5 hrs

I have a MBP which I purchased in 2009 July, I have noticed when I charge my MB the last goes up to only 97% and the battery lasts only for about an hour and a half. I am still under warranty till 2012.
How much is to to change the battery at apple, or is it covered under the warranty and how long will it take.

I bought the unit a day before I left the country, and then to my surprise it does not have the internal battery that Lenovo is boasting about. Fn+Spacebar doesnt work in lighting up the keypad and the 3-cell external batter is no way near to 4 hrs!

1. Information about battery capacity for laptops with fixed configuration (i.e.not CTO) is provided in PSREF (for not all countries), on Lenovo support site in laptop model short description. It looks like the strings below:
6c Li-Ion
3c front battery and 3c rear battery
3c front battery and 6c rear battery
The 1st string is for 6 cell rear (external) battery.
If laptop is CTO the battery information is available in the purchase order or in the parts data base.
2. Keyboard backlight capability is optional feature. This information could be found in PSREF, in support site parts data base by laptop serial number.
3. ThinkLight feature is absent in Haswell based Lenovo Thinkpads.

Micro Battery flatlined TWICE...any ideas about w

here's the story. had a fully charged battery, listened for about 2 hours, had 3 bars when i turned it off, let it sit overnight, turned it on the next day...NO BARS! almost completely dead. ok, weird, so i recharged it. the next day, used it for about /2 hours, turned it off, next day TOTALLY DEAD. no bars, couldn't turn it on. it's now charging again. i've never had any problems with this micro before.
here are some of the specs
i'm using the BETA firmware 2..
listening to 28k mp3s at volume about 8, no backlight
normal operating temperatures (no extremes)
it's never done this sort of thing before and now it's done it TWICE in 2 days and i'm weirded out. any ideas?

This is more or less what happened to me two weeks ago. Had the Micro for a month without any problems, then the battery went to hell. I called Creative and they all but admitted that the battery power on these gets drained even when the unit is not in use. Here's the only solution .. what I've been doing is after I use the Micro, I remove the battery. I still carry my unit around in the little black pouch that came with it, but so if you remove the battery and just keep it in the pouch with the player, it's not a problem. Just slip it back in when you want to use it and your battery will be exactly where it was when you last used it.

Frost: There's lots of information on this in the FAQ post. If you aren't getting the full life then something is different in your setup to the test specification, which is 28kbit/s CBR MP3s with no EQ, Smart Volume etc.

I'm posting this for my little brother, who purchased a 4gb zen micro a month or two ago and is currently having some issues with the batery life. He seems to keep it on the computer much of the time, i don't know how charging for lithium-ion works (weather it only charges when it needs it, or weather it charges by timer), so i don't know if this is bad for it. I tested it out the other day, it started from a full (yes i'm completly sure) charge. After about 30 seconds of playing a song it droped off a bar... I was fiddling around with it and noticed even when the power is off i get signal thru the headphones, does it really ever power down all the way? if not, is there a way to shut it down completly? it seems stupid to have it always running memory if your not gonna use it for a while, it would just deplete the battery...
anywho, if anyone has an idea to what the problem is i'd appreciate a reply

ok, so new firmware should fix that. as far as the current battery only lasting a minute or two before dropping bars, is that battery just shot? also, i've read the battery sections in the read this before you post and stuff, and searched the forums, and i've heard mixed oppinions (top off charging being good vs. not), here is my question: say the battery is 75% full, is it bad to put it on the charger say, over night? because from what i understand it will put it thru a full charge cycle, and putting charge thru a full battery is deadly (or so i understand). some insight would be appreciated, thanks

I've had my new Green Zen Micro for 2 weeks now and it's great, I love it! I've got about 000 songs on my Zen and they are mostly CD rips at about 28-92kb

I been doing a battery test for the last few days and I just leave it on continuous play from when I go to work and when I come home from work. I can get aboout 0 hours out of the thing, but would want the 2 hours as Creative have told us. I think the battery bar indicators are very inconsistant, the first bar will drop after 2-3 hours and the last bar can last for 3-6 hours. I think it's to do with the songs the player is playing during the time.
What I'm going to do tonight is to fully charge my Zen up, rip a cd at low quality (64kbps) and see how long that lasts. I will be posting here tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

Well i just tested my brand new Micro, using SSR's wise advice and I am pleasantly surprised.
When I opened my new micro, there was a small charge in the battery, so I ran that down to empty before I did anything (as advised by CL).
I charged for 4 hours, making sure I left it after the lights went out and showed as charged.
I actually left mine off overnight, to test for battery drain when switched off, turned it on 9 hours later and still had 3 bars, so I hope this means mine is not one that acts like its on when its off )
Started my test at 8am, 28kbps MP3, EQ off, SV off. Lasted till 6.50pm, so a decent 0hrs 40 mins from the very first charge. So that is looking pretty decent. Have to admit about half way thorugh I kept playing wiht it and set EQ to on, so even better results )
so far I am pretty happy mine already ahd the .0.03 firmware installed.
Only had one glitch, on the first switch on, it did not track the progress of the tracks, the indicators just stayed at zero even though the track was playing...........so tried to switch off micro, but it wouldn't switch off, stayed on the now playing screen. It wasn't frozen as I could get round all menus okay.
Removed battery instead and switched back on and it had resolved itself, the track indicators worked fine and it switched off okay, so seems to be a minor glitch easily solved.
So far I am very happy, no sign of any dreaded things happening yet, and my battery life seems to be great too, almost hours on first charge is more than I expected, hopefully that will rise more over the next few charge cycles. i will be fully charging and disacharging it for the next 4 cycles at least....
have just done a second charge for 4 hours, will see how long it lasts this time............
BTW on first charge the blue light switched off when full, on second it stayed on, constant not flashing, I remember someone else saying this happened too....................odd but no problems )

Charging Issues - Green Battery only goes half way.

I paid to have my battery replaced. They say that the could not duplicate my issue. Apparently my cc was not charged at all.
My issue is: the battery won't do a complete charge. I have 3 different white cords to plug my ipod into my new mac book pro. I have a car charger as well.
The green "battery" only fills up half way.
I rode the battery into the red this weekend listenig to audiobooks. The battery will charge, but not get "full"
I must admit when the ipod came back from Apple the green "battery" was full.
Last night was the third night in a row(aka 3 different wires) that my ipod was plugged into my macbook pro with the sleep function turned off.
My car charger actually seems to drain the battery rather than charge it.
Any ideas?

I believe its the first generation 16 model.

It's my understanding that on many of the older model Ipods, the battery indicator is faulty. It will show a half charge even if it is fully charged. Some of what I have read says that it will correct itself after using the device for a short time. Leave it on overnight and it should be fully charged. Use it a while and see if it shows a full charge or close to it. If not, and the battery runs out quickly you may have another issue.
