Micro SD format

I am wanting to buy a Micro SD card for my Lumia 1520 and Amazon has a nice one but it says the phone needs to be "SDXC enabled" and I wonder what that means and is the 1520 SDXC enabled? I don't want to buy the wrong card.
Thank you all for the help.

I checked the SanDisc website and it is compatable with my phone. Sorry I didn't look before I posted.

• IMovie09 and Micro MV format

I just got iMovie 09 and it seems like this version doesn't recognise Micro MV format. In earlier versions I could import just fine as long as I used a firewire cable. 09 says it doesn't matter if you have a USB or firewire, both work fine. Only problem is I can't find my firewire cable.
My question is, can iMovie 09 be used to import from a Micro MV camera (with firewire or USB) and if not, what are my options?
Thanks for any help.

If your camcorder uses tape you must use FireWire. USB works with flash memory and hard drive camcorders.

• CREATIVE ZEN MICRO and WINDOWS VI

I hope this question has not been repeated.
I have a Creative Zen Micro and have attempted to install it on my current computer that uses Windows Vista 32-bit. However, it was unable to install or find the driver necessary.
I've already looked at the 'driver release plans'?for this product and there is only a page regarding 'Nati've Support', which says 'The MP3 products ZEN Micro, ... require the latest firmware to ensure Nati've Support in Window Vista'.
I've searched for firmware for the Zen Micro on a Windows Vista 32-bit in English, and found nothing.
How can I make this product work with my Windows Vista 32-bit computer ?
Thank you !!!

Robby & Lizzy
First of all for a little background information, the problem lies in a problem between Creative's firmware installation program and Windows Media Player . WMP is standard in Windows Vista. As a matter of historical information, Creative has not developed any drivers for Windows Vista, therein the rub; Windows Vista does support the Microsoft PlaysForSure initiati've, and many of the older players like the Micro series does have PlaysForSure firmware available to enable the player to be used in Windows Vista.
Now for an outline of the necessary ste
ps.
Back up all of the content on your Micro. The firmware that you will install includes a disk format that will erase all of the content and change the way that the disk dri've on the Micro is formatted.
You'll need to find a Windows XP system that does not have Windows Media Player installed. You or the owner of the system should also be knowledgeable in the use of Windows XP System Restore feature so that you can return the system to it's previous state after you are finished with it.
Create a Restore Point on the XP system. Download and install the drivers for your Zen Micro to the XP system. This will enable the player to be recognized by the computer.
Download the PlaysForSure driver for the Micro, V2.2.02, to the desktop of the XP system.
Connect the player to the system with a USB cable and execute the program.
When the firmware installation has completed, the player will reboot. You may disconnect the player. After you have confimed that the firmware revision is correct on the Micro, do a System Restore to put that system back in the condition that you found it.
Connect the Micro to your Vista system and it should recognize the player and install the nati've Windows PlaysForSure driver and pair it with your Micro.

• Transforming Micro MV to DV

Is there a way to transform Sony's Micro MV format to DV format? I tried using a Sony FX1 but it didn't work. Can DSR-11 do the job? My cousin borrowed my DSR-11...

Sounds like the DV recorder is actually recording DVCAM, which will give you 40minutes on a 60minute tape. You'll have to check the settings on the deck or camera and set it to DV, not DVCAM.

• Still having problems with Yahoo's Music Service and my Zen Mi

I think I did a pretty good job searching the forums for a solution to my issue, so please don't flame me if I missed something
I'm having major licensing issues with Yahoo's Unlimited Music Service, even after doing the following:
. I'm running Windows XP SP2 (all updates accounted for and installed)
2. I'm running Windows Media Player 0
3. I installed the Windows DRM patch for this issue: KB8922
4. I upgraded the firmware for my Zen Micro from the factory setting to .02.05
I'm still getting errors in MediaSource stating that a license is required to transfer the file I downloaded from Yahoo Unlimited. I get similar errors when trying to transfer in Yahoo's Music Engine.
I read in the forums that firmware version .02.05 is more recent than 2..02. Is this correct? If so, shouldn't version .02.05 have all the enhancements and functionality found in v2?
In any case, this was a gift to my wife for her birthday, and it's currently useless to her at the moment, so any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
T.

Thanks for the quick reply, Jason.
I've tried updating from .02.05 to 2..02 several times (although other posts on this forum suggest that this shouldn't be possible). After the dri've on the Micro is formatted during the upgrade process, I get an error when the unit tries to reboot stating that the unit 'can't be started correctly', and that I should reboot and start the process over. The update process fails in the same place every time.
I've tried disabling the Enable Detector feature in MediaSource before updating, but that doesn't help either.
Now, I'm guessing that the only way to upgrade to 2..02 was from .0.03, but I evidently chose poorly. Is there anything I can do, or am I stuck with crippled functionality?
Thanks again for your help!

• Images not oploading from SD card

Hi all just a quick question ,has anyone ever experienced the problem of images not uploading to lightroom from an sd card. The card is good as the images uploaded no problems to my alternative "Corel" editing package

I believe the clock is behaving properly. The driver should connect at a slow clock at first then increase to the highest clock that the driver thinks the card can support. If you see this clock speed change, the initialization must be getting past the first few SD card messages. You could try to adding printfs in the card driver to see which message failed.
I've had problems switching from 14.7 to 2014.3 FSBL. The later driver dropped support for older SD card and stop on very first message to the card. Maybe try a different card.
In going from dev board to custom board, did you switch from full size SD to micro SD? The micro SD format does not have a WP signal. Maybe no CD signal either. The FSBL driver cares about both.

• Many Problems with iTunes

Recently, I have purchased a new external DVD / CD burner to replace my faulty one in my Dell Laptop. After updating to the latest version of itunes, I have encountered many problems.
1 - I cannot burn a CD. Whenever i create a playlist and attempt a burn, it will read the playlist, start to initialize, then the hazard sign in the top right corner closes, the disc ejects, and it says "An Unknown Error Has Occured (2122)" This happens on every attempt, both trying to burn purchased music or music i've already imported onto itunes.
2 - I cannot import a CD or play a CD. When I put a CD into my drive, itunes will recognize it and go get the track names, but then when i try to play the tracks, it just skips down the list one by one, and no audio comes out. When trying to import songs, it'll import then rapidly (one after another, obvious that it didn't work) and then they have no length in my Library.
Ran CD Diagnostics, here's what came out:
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)
Dell Computer Corporation Inspiron 5150
iTunes 6.0.1.3
CD Driver 2.0.4.3

UpperFilters: GEARAspiWDM (2.0.4.3),
Video Driver: NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200\GeForce FX Go5200
Found aspi32 running.

Hi, I'm attempting to install a 4 gb Micro SDHC card into my Blackberry 8330 but I'm not having any luck. I can see and work with the card from my PC but not the BB. Here are the details:
BB software v4.3.0.127
Carrier = Verizon Wireless
Media card is a SanDisk (not purchase from Verizon) 4gb micro SDHC
Formated card in PC, no problem
added directories (recommended by another thread) for pictures, voicenotes, video, blackberry and ringtones
Changed Media settings on blackberry to match recommendations from other tread:
media card support is on
encryptions mode = none
mass support mode = on
auto enable mass storage = yes
The BB still tells me the media card cannot be read. If I try to format it from the BB, it says the "Media Card Format Failed".

• Will my sony dcr-ip55 work with imovie 08?

Sorry, I'm not up with all the formats but imovie hd 6.0.3 would not import footage shot with a sony dcr-ip55 which records in the micro mv format. Will iMovie 08 work with this format or do I need some sort of converter?
Mark

Probably.
"iMovie supports standard and high definition video, as well as the most popular formats, including DV, HDV, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and even AVCHD."
microMV is recording in MPEG-2.

• What bitrate you rip your music at?! (please po

Come on, everybody post your rip settings:
- Player: [your player model/models (inculde size)]
- Format: [what format you rip to]
- Bitrate: [what bitrate you rip at]
... this came up the other they. Was wondering what quality wich is supose to be close to CD, and before I start ripping my whole cd collection, I whould like to hear whats the usuall settings.
Anyways, I'll start by post what I used so far:
- Player: Zen Micro (5gb)
- Format: mp3
- Bitrate: 28kbs
... now, your turn!

Player: Zen Xtra 40 GB
Format: MP3
Bitrate: 28 for pop/rock, 92 for classical, 320 for stuff I'm still going to edit and then save at a lower bitrate, always encode everything with LAME at quality 0 (highest)
Rap seems to have the highest tolerance for bad sound quality -- it even sounds good over lousy headphones. I'd encode rap at around 96 kbps, though I generally don't listen to it anyway. Classical is the most sensiti've to sound quality. Classical simply doesn't sound right unless it's reproduced with very high fidelity.
I generally consider 320 kbps to be excessi've. LAME can do very good with almost any recording at 92 and quality at 0. I only ever use 320 when I'm recording something I'm going to do more editing on but won't edit for some time, say an LP I want to remove skips from. I'd normally use WAV, but the files are too dang big to reasonably store many of them.
WMA can supposedly achieve better quality at lower bitrates than MP3. However, it performs best at low bitrates, making it a perfect codec for streaming audio but not so good for storage of high quality music. Also, they suck up a lot more battery life than MP3s.

• E71 Yahoo email - Still Having Problems

I followed the instructions in the other thread(s) and I am still having problems. I get most of my Nokia Messaging push e-mail and then I get a bunch under the date 1/1/0000 and their subject lines are blank. Some of them are new, some are old. Any suggestions on how to fix this? As previously stated, uninstalling this e-mail address, deleting an inbox email from a computer and reinstalling the email address on the phone doesn't work. Neither does completely uninstalling and reinstalling the Nokia Messaging app.

k8n Neo Platinum
each of these has different onboard devices present
standard k8n will have the bare essentials

• Zynq custom board not booting from SD-Card

Hi all,
I have a custom designed board woth a Zynq XC7Z100 SoC and try to bring it up. The schematics are based on the ZC706 board so the MIO connections on the PS are the same.
Now I'm trying to boot just the simple Hello World example from XSDK (Vivado Version 2014.3). Booting from JTAG and from QSPI Flash is working but booting from SD-Card fails. The FSBL is producing the following output:
Xilinx First Stage Boot Loader
Release 2014.3 Nov 5 2014-17:42:52
Devcfg driver initialized
Silicon Version 3.1
Boot mode is SD
SD: rc= 0
SD: Unable to open file BOOT.BIN: 3
SD_INIT_FAIL
FSBL Status = 0xA009
This Boot Mode Doesn't Support Fallback
In FsblHookFallback function
I've measured all data pins and they are toggling. What I've found out is that the SDIO Clk is somehow strange. When starting the FSBL it is a very slow clock (kHz) and afterwards it's speeding up to 41.6666 MHz. I've already changed the SDIO clock in Vivado from 125 MHz to 50 MHz but nothing changes, when I'm measuring it. Do I miss something out?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
