Micro SDXC Supported?

Hi there,
I'm on a mac and try to format a ScanDisk ultra 64 GB card, as well a Lexar 633* 64 GB Card. Both are not supported by Passport in terms of not recognised by my Passport.
Anybody a clue whats going on?
THX for help. I'm a bit lost on this.

it is best to format in the BlackBerry device
you need to enable USB mass storage mode to use it like a USB drive after every reboot

  • SDXC support in 13-p111 nr X2 notebook?

Does the onboard card reader in my my 13-p111 nr X2 notebook (Win 8.1) support SDXC cards in one or both slots (standard and micro)?  Win 8.1 supports the file system, but my 64GB micro sd card is not being recognized in the onboard slot, making me think that the card reader hardware may not support that format.  If the onboard reader does not , should the notebook still recognize a 64GB SDXC card in a USB card reader stick?
I've looked in the service manual for this X2 notebook and it is not specific about SD 0r SDHC or SDXC support.  Where can I find detailed system specs for this machine?
Thank you for any help you can give.

  • FORMAT 64GB MICRO SDXC PROBLEM

I can't format  64GB micro sdxc  for window xp, i try windows update for exFAT,but still have problem, error message is windows was unable to complete the format.I try use windows 7 32bit or 64bit  to format still have problem.

TL;DR - skip to the last line. How stupid of me. I bought two SanDisk Mobile Ultra 64GB USH-I cards. I find SanDisk to be a very reputable brand - I haven't had any problems before with USB flash drives and other MicroSD cards. In fact, I've only ever used SanDisk MicroSDs. I have a 64MB (yes, megabytes), two 2GB, a 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and a 32GB MicroSD card, all of which perform very reliably. This streak was broken when I intended to purchase one for my phone and one for my tablet. Initially all was fine with the cards; they both mounted properly, were formatted using exFAT by default and showed a 59.46GB capacity. Misleadingly enough, SanDisk's 64GB "Mobile Ultra" MicroSDs don't actually work on any Android device. They only work on a select few, namely those with unlicensed exFAT support such as the Samsung Galaxy S3, Note 2, Note 10.1 and various others. Knowing exFAT doesn't work on either of my mobile devices, I then proceeded to format one of my cards to FAT32 so it would actually mount in my devices.  The first card died immediately when I inserted it into my Samsung Galaxy S2. My phone would say "Preparing SD Card...", then it would disappear very soon after. The card still showed up on my computer, so I tried to format again. Windows said that it was unable to complete the format. The card disconnects itself whenever I try to format it or copy files onto it. I have tried multiple readers, multiple computers and multiple OSes, all of them yielded the same "Automatic Unmount Syndrome". So, I sent this one for replacement. The second card I didn't risk formatting to FAT32. To my surprise, my second device, the ASUS Eee Pad Slider, could mount and read the 64GB exFAT card. I then copied about 30GB of data to it, all seems well. The card didn't disconnect itself, so I tried to copy more data onto it. But the second time I connected it to my computer, it suddenly switched to read-only mode. I couldn't rename, delete, move or copy any files on the card. So I had no choice but to format it again, but this time to NTFS. I could copy data to it, but it wasn't detected by my ASUS Slider. This is unexpected, because the Slider can mount 2.5" portable external hard drives formatted to NTFS. So I format it to FAT32, and copy the data once again. Luckily for me, the card didn't disconnect itself. My luck soon ran out when the card wasn't detected by my Slider (again), but this time it was much worse than my two previous attempts. I formatted the card to its default filesystem exFAT, but this time when I started copying my data, it disconnected itself in the same way my first card did. Formatting it will show the error "Windows was unable to complete the format". No third party formatting software could format it. That's the end of the road for both cards. So from personal experience: The SanDisk Mobile Ultra 64GB UHS-I MicroSD cards have a 100% failure rate within the first 5 file operations. Do not buy.

  • Z30 - Music & Neutron App do not see music files in micro SDXC card now and then

I have my Z30 about a week now. So far so good. This morning, all of a sudden the native Music & Neutron App do not see the music files on the 64 GB micro SDXC card. The files are there when I checked with file management. I restarted a few times and the problem went away. I like to know if any one of you out there encountered this problem and how do you resolve it.
    Thanks.

hi i had the same problem i asked an expert and told me the connection between card and phone was not good at the moment took it out and put it back didnt have a problem ever since

  • Can the Droid Charge read/write 64GB micro-SDXC cards?

Can the Droid Charge read/write 64GB micro-SDXC cards?
(or any micro-SDXC card, for that matter)
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi SandraW,
Thanks WCMack for your posting. I have been able to verify that the Samsung Charge has an onboard memory of 2GBs and a capacity to carry a 32GB memory card. It cannot old a 64GB card. I hope this helps.
Thanks and have a great day!

  • My Sandisk Ultra Micro SDXC 64 GB stopped working properly

I have a Sandisk Ultra Micro SDXC 64GB card which I use in my Samsung s4 phone for adding lots of music.  All has been working fine for 18 months or so.  I load / remove music onto it using Windows Explorer. Then as of this week I couldn't copy new music onto it, nor could I delete old stuff.  Or actually it seemed I could (it looked like all had been done fine, but then a few hours later it restored itself to its original state: with the old music still on, and not the new music).  I went through this quite a number of times coz I thought I was going crazy.  Anyway I finally realized I was not when playing a new song actually played one I had supposedly deleted.  So I realized the drive had got its directory file allocation tables screwed and probably needed to be reformatted. So I tried this using Windows.  However Quick Format failed, so I tried the full version.  Well after waiting 30 mins or so (grr) it finally said it cannot complete the formatting process ("windows was unable to compete the format").  So I downloaded SDFormatter to see if this would help.  But trying to format with that, I just got the error: "The Memory Card is write-protected. Please release the write protect switch".  But it is not, I set the write-protect on the card adaptor 10x to forward position.  So then I tried another card adaptor, but no luck here.  (I also tried this with another micro SD card on the same adaptor, but did not get this error) I thought then to try chkdsk /f h: from the command line, but I got the really useful statement:"The volume has been successfully checked, but Windows was unable to mark the volume as clean.Windows has checked the file system and found no problems." No viruses found either.  Has this card just died?  Or can I use some other method to reformat it?

Hello, in that case the card seems to be write protected, in that case there is nothing you can do and the card needs to be replaced. So you can go to the place of purchase and replace the card or you can replace it directly through Sandisk under this link http://kb.sandisk.com/app/rmaform

  • Player supporting 128GB micro SDXC cards?

I find it ironic that Sandisk makes fast 128GB microSDXC cards, yet none of the players they make support these. It seems like with the Sandisk firmware all cards faster than class 4 may be problematic. None of Sandisk's players support microSDXC cards, although with Rockbox installed, people use microSDXC cards formatted as FAT32 on the Clip+, Clip Zip, Fuze, and Fuze+.

    JK98 wrote:
Also the speed is probably a problem as well, as Sandisk firmware seems to have issues with cards above class 4 . . . .
Very variable, depending on the card--some are just fine, others less-so, apparently.  Of course, going in knowing is a good thing . . . .

  • S850 Micro USB support

I would like to buy S850 smart phone and it has quiet good attractive features loaded with in much lower price, but before buying i want to have some clarrification to get cleared. As far as the specifications of design by Lenovo is concerned that it doesnot have a support of micro USB and have internal build memory of 16GB,to this case how to transfer the photos and others data storing in mobile to either LapTop or any other accessories when data become overflow and doesnot have space to accomodating further in the event of having more data.Correct me if i am wrong perception about the specification.
Recomment your valuble suggestions on this  and appreciate if Lenovo personel would reply sooner as possible would enable me to buy this product.

    Hi
The S850 dosen't support OTG...But that dosen't mean you can't connect your S850 to your Laptop or PC to transfer files (The Micro Usb charging cable can also connect the device to any 2.0 USB PC port).
You can use the built in SHAREit app to wirelessly share files with a PC or any other compatible Android device.
....There are also other methods to share and receive files.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers.

  • Sandisk 64gb micro sdxc card works in 701

Following on from user Roveel's post about his use of this sdxc card in the N8 I got one for my new 701. Once formatted to Fat32 in my pc (used the same utility that Roveel used) the card works in the phone.
The phone saves pictures to the card, views them, and also plays back music stored on the card fine. The only bug I can find is that the phone will not format the card, fails with an error message. Formatting the card reduces the capacity a little to 59gb but that is still better than my old 32gb card. See picture attached.
Now running a 701, beautiful phone to handle and use...now that it has stopped sending my personal information to Nokia via 360Panel [rolls eyes]

    64 000 000 000 bytes isn't 64GB
it was some fight some years ago... i believe than we shoud try fight back again becouse
    64 000 000 000 bytes is:
    64 000 000 000 / 1024 = 62 500 000 KB
    62 500 000 / 1024 = 61 035 MB
    61 035 / 1024 = 59.6 GB
that is the reason of 59.4 GB
    i hope that explain
    but resuming it works
and i like this news, at least for my N8
waiting for my 808 PureVision (as soon sells begining)

hi I'm just wondering if my Nokia 5230 would be compatible with this micro sd card?
    -Thanks!

Yes. As per the specs sheet you can put a max. of 16GB card. And this one is 8GB. It won't cause any problem as far as you are using a local card, but this one is KINGSTON. You could also try sandisk. I personally use sandisk 4GB.
Please thank me by giving 'KUDOS' star. It will help me to serve you better.
Currently using N82 and 5230. Next would be N?
