Micro usb doesn't work!!! (no charging, no pc connecting, ecc)

Hi!My micro usb connection deosn't work on my z3 compact! If I connect the phone to charge it, nothing happens (I've already tryed to change usb cable and also to connect it to a car charger...nothing!!!)And if I try to connect the phone to my pc, it doesn't work!!! How can I solve it? I tryed a factory reset and nothing changed...Can you help me, please???

Hello,
I have almost the same with my phone. It's been 3 days and I've tried everything that came to my mind!
First, the phone (Xperia Z3 Compact) was ok, then I noticed I'm low on battery (about 3%), I tried to charge it, connected to charger via micro usb port. Nothing happened, (like it has never been attached at all!) I did it several times, tested the charger and cable on other phones, worked properly on them.then I tested with several chargers and cables, and tried to charge it with my laptop, even when connecting to the laptop (on Windows), it's like nothing even detected, nothing at all, and on the phone nothing changes (no charging, no data connection, etc.).
Then I tried to restart the OS to see if it solves the problem, but due to the battery-low situation, I couldn't boot it back on! (the battery icon kept coming on the screen). The thing is, on the state before initiating to load the OS (Only the battery icon, big(!) on the screen), it SEEMED to be charging (the charger LED turned on and connecting and disconnecting the cable made difference!). but everytime after several seconds, the SONY logo appeared, and then the smaller battery icon with a 1% text appeared, then the LED turned off and it seemed to be not charging. (I tried it several times, even with 3-vibrate resets, etc. no change)
But when I tried to load it in the Fastboot mode or Flash mode, my laptop detected it without problem. (And did some getvar commands via fastboot, no problem in that state). then I provided a magnetic charger, and charged the phone without problem with that to 100%. But still, in the Android OS, USB does not work at all, no charging via usb, no data mode, no usb detection AT ALL.
Long story short, I even tried these:
Resetting completely to factory settings,Wiping cache partition,Flashing (via flashtool) the stock ROM.
and I even flashed the phone with a third party ROM! Still no usb charging/detection! The USB only works in Flash and Fastboot mode!
What do I do?!

  • Zen micro USB doesn't work with car ra

My zen micro can't connect to my car radio or my teac reciever chr-255. Neither can connect to the USB. It reads for a secund and then just give up. Has anyone got the same problem or even bette, has anyone solved it's?

I suspect the problem may be that your car stereo and Teac receiver are expecting a USB flash dri've type of player and not a PlaysForSure MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) player.
With USB flash dri'ves, the car stereo and the receiver are expecting what looks like a hard dri've which they can just browse and play files directly.
MTP players don't look like hard dri'ves, despite what you might have come to expect because of the Creative Media Explorer interface. CME is performing MTP operations and presenting a view that just looks like a hard dri've.
MTP is used, in part, to manage playlists and to enforce DRM (digital rights management) licenses.
I keep hoping that Microsoft, Creative, and PlaysForSure/MTP compatible players will come up with a standard for operating the player like an iPod so integration will be as seemless for non-iPod players as well.

by the way sorry for my english.))Message Edited by EXrate on 2-25-200704:38 PM

Mee too... I tried for hours to switch it on...
Using the switch... NOTHING! It loked like completely dead...
    ALSO AFTER a LONg charge...
Finally I tried the reset and it works!!!
Try it... You won't lost any contents or media files...
Or probably you have another problem...
My sister wasn't able to charge his Apple iPod... I do some researches and I discover that you should not use ANY hub USB, any USB ports on the keyboard or oth er cables...
Use the original USB cable provided with the player, and connect it DIRECTLY to the USB port on the case...
Many digital players won't charge if they aren't connected directly to the PC...

I even tried on a fresh install and aplay -l shows the exact same output of my first post here...
Anyways the udev rules it installs are:

  • IPhone 5 contacts local sync via usb doesn't work - updated

    Syncing an iPhone 5, AT&T 64GB, with Macbook Air 11" mid-2011, 1.8GHz / 4GB.
    OS X 10.10.2; iTunes 12.1.0.50; iOS 8.1.3.
I am trying to sync my contacts from my OS X Contacts App to my iPhone 5 via USB. The contacts do not sync. The contacts are local, "on my mac". I am using a usb cable through iTunes.
The iPhone 5 was just restored by Apple Configurator, set up as new iPhone, and is supervised by the MacBook Air.
I am also synchronizing my local Calendars from the OS X Calendar app; these transfer just fine. This makes me think it is probably not to do with the entire setup of the iPhone, i.e. that it is managed by apple configurator, since some of the sync works correctly.
Under "info" in the iTunes sync dialog, I have selected the "sync contacts" and "all contacts" and "sync calendars" and "all calendars" options.
Interestingly, while the Calendars sync options displays options of "selected calendars" and a list of my calendars available to sync, the Contacts section "selected groups" is grayed out. I have one group in Contacts, and it does not show up by name for "selected groups". Instead, the area where groups should be listed for selection is empty. Perhaps iTunes does not have access to my local contacts? It is not listed under apps with access to my contacts under security and privacy, and it has not requested access to my contacts.
I created a fake contact on the phone and synced it with iTunes. I then turned off contact syncing in iTunes and told it to remove previously synced contacts. The fake contact disappeared. When I turned contact syncing on again, the contact was again pushed to the phone. However, the fake contact did not appear at any point in the OS X Contacts App, and none of my OS X Contacts appeared on my phone -- only the fake contact I had created on my phone and then synced with iTunes.
I also created a (different) fake contact in OS X Contacts. iTunes sync did not transfer this contact (or any others) from OS X Contacts to iPhone.
    SUMMARY:
    - syncing iPhone 5 via USB with iTunes
    - Calendar sync works
    - Contacts sync doesn't work
    - iTunes appears to have no communication with the OS X Contacts app; in system prefs > security and privacy > privacy > contacts, Pages and Word have access to Contacts, but iTunes is not listed. iTunes Contacts sync "selected groups" does not display my OS X Contacts group names.
    - Contacts created on iPhone sync back to iTunes and are restored back to the iPhone if deleted and resynced.
    - Contacts created on iPhone do not sync back to OS X Contacts; Contacts in OS X Contacts do not sync to iPhone.
(apologies for premature posting to "Using iPhone"; I accidentally submitted and now can't delete or edit).

Here's the resolution: I went to my local Apple store and spoke to the guy. After some discussion it turned out that one of the staff had had a similar problem. He suggested this course and I can report that it seems to work. So, (1) open your system preferences and then the print & fax setting and delete the printer in question (2) disconnect the USB between the printer and the TimeCapsule (3) shut everything down and turn off power to your modem, your TimeCapsule and your whole system (4) power on each item in its normal sequence (5) wait for your iMac to complete its boot-up, (6) re-connect the USB between the printer and the TimeCapsule (7) open system preferences and search for and install the relevant printer (8) try printing.
This is hardly elegant, but it worked. I am told (by the same Apple store) that hitting the "reset" button in the TimeCapsule might also work. If this is intuitive or obvious to anyone else then my compliments to them ...
    Cheers

  • Terratec dmx 6fire usb doesn't work on my mb pro 13 i5 2011 please help!

After installation driver of my soundcard terratec dmx 6fire usb on my mb soundcard doesn't work. But on mb pro 15' i5 2010 it's work's good. I think the problem is in the new sandy bridge chipset. If anybody have same equipment please help.

Thank to Terratec support for Help. My problem is solved. Now i can mixing with my soundcard terratec 6fire usb. Sound is good!
Answer of support terratec:is your Mac OS working in 32 bit or 64 bit mode ? The DMX 6Fire just work on
    32 bit..
Normaly this can be the only reason, when you say, that the device works on
    another Mac system without problems.
Also with the installation there is nothing you can do wrong. The device
must work, when you just have connected it via USB to the Mac. The DMX 6Fire
USB software is just installing the additional ControlPanel for the DMX.
All new macbook pro works at 64 bit mode at default. I change mode to 32 bit of my macbook pro type command in terminal :sudo systemsetup -setkernelbootarchitecture i386.
Nowi work in 32 bit mode and my soundcard works too Thank you for Help terratec support

  • Booting BIOS from USB doesn't work (890FXA-GD70)

    Hi all,
in case of BIOS crash, recent MSI motherboards should be able to boot using a BIOS provided from an USB pendrive. I have tested this function by calling it directly by BIOS option, but it fails after BIOS is loaded getting a blank screen (debug code: 09) or the monitor off (debug code: 31). Does any of you know whether the problem is fixable or any hints? Is it working to you?
    890FXA-GD70 (either BIOS 1.0 and 1.6)
Verbarim Store'n' go 4GB USB pendrive (tested with FAT32, FAT16 formats, partitions smaller, bigger... nothing)
BIOS save function doesn't work as well. Some bytes are different comparing the saved file to original one.

it's probably m-flash issue, what's current bios version installed?
Yes, you can say: "Flash your BIOS to the last version released some days ago, and retry", but that is the last chance for clear reasons. The problem hasn't been fixed flashing from 1.0 to 1.6, and I guess likely this code with the bug is in non flashable part of BIOS.
I wonder whether Boot 2nd BIOS from USB Drive (or Backup BIOS to USB Drive) is working for someone, it looks impossible it is entirely broken...

  • Woke computer from Sleep: USB doesn't work

So, I woke my computer from sleep, and now all my USB ports are dead.
I tried restarting, resetting the CMOS, removing the D-Bracket, which I had just installed (it didn't work either.).  Any thoughts?
EDIT:  All ports get power, none get signal.

Okay, with your front panel connectors, do they have a wire for pin 10 on the USB connector?  That would be the one next to the blocked out keying pin (pin 9).  If so, that could be causing your problem.  If you remove the pin from the connector that could clear up the problem.  I haven't personally had the issue, but I've seen it talked about.  If your internal USB connectors only have 8 wires on them, then I don't know what to tell you...

  • Question Mark Folder on start up on an iMac; USB "doesn't work" unless...

I am having a very difficult time with an old Indigo iMac (slot-loading). The symptoms are as follows:
Blinks between Smiley Face and ? on start up
Keyboard doesn't work unless in the Developer mode(? mode with the white screen and some command options. I think it's developer mode...)
I do not know what to do really. Even using alternative methods to try and get the computer to boot such as hooking up another drive from a different computer to it via an IDE to USB and trying to get it to boot, but to no avail. Is there anything I can do in the Developer mode that would help?
    Power Mac G3 800 mhz   Mac OS X (10.4.2)

    Hi, Lezard -
If it is a 333MHz model, it is not a Slot-Loading model; it is one of the last of the tray loader models (designated as the Five Flavors models), as indicated in the right-hand column for that model (fourth one down) in the KBase article you linked to, Article #58669.
In that case it is not USB bootable.
Is there a way I can possible change the start up disk through Open Firmware?
Not that I'm aware of - Open firmware is not that flexible.
Have you tried booting it to an OS Install CD, one valid for that model? Such would be the original Software Install CD that came with it (OS 8.5.1), or any retail OS 8.6 or OS 9 Install CD. If you can get it to boot to a CD, you can change or reset the boot volume using Startup Disk control panel.
Also, if you can get it to boot to an OS Install CD, run Disk First Aid from the Utilities folder on the CD - let it have a look at the drive, and repair whatever it can.
While booted to the CD, take a look at the System Folder on the hard drive - does it show the Mac OS glyph superimposed on the folder's icon, or is the folder icon plain? If it is plain, that System Folder is no longer blessed, which is relatively easy to fix.
Note - when using keyboard startup commands, for most of them be sure you press the key(s) early enough, usually about the time the startup chime sounds; and keep them held down until you are sure the command has been accepted or been invoked.
