Microcell stopped working after working fine for over a year

Hi everyone, My Microcell stopped working after working fine for over a year
What happens now is that when it boots up all is green but the wireless network bars LED keeps flashing forever.
I know that as part of the normal boot process it first scans all 3G channels to pick the least conflicting ones before it initializes the internal 3G radio. Typically that takes good 10 minutes. However now it never finishes that scan and gets stuck there blinking green forever. Obviously nothing has changed on my side of things; I don't know whether something has changed in the neighborhood in terms of AT&T area controller or what not. Any help will be very much appreciated. Thak you!

Answer ALL the questions below as best you can and we'll try to help you.
MicroCell™ TroubleShooting Questions:
Have you read the Tech Guide first? 3G MicroCell Technical Guide by Otto Pylot
Do you have an active postpaid AT&T mobile account?
Is your MicroCell white or black?
Who is your ISP and is your service ADSL, cable, wireless or satellite?
What are your suscribed download and upload speeds as stated by your ISP?
Have you tested your internet speeds (http://www.speedtest.net/)? Please run the test and post your latency, download and upload speeds.
Have you tested your connection for VoIP quality (http://www.voipqualitytest.com/)? Please run the test and post the results that are listed under the "Advanced" tab.
Are you using the basic connection (modem -> router -> MicroCell) or the alternate connection (modem -> MicroCell -> router/computer)? The alternate connection is not possible with the black (DPH-154) MicroCell as it has no Ethernet output but it can be connected directly to the modem to temporarily test the Microcell without the network connected.
Are all of the cables firmly in place?
Do you have a combined modem/router (gateway) or a separate modem and router? What are the makes and model numbers for your equipment?
Have you met the minimum requirements for router settings as outlined in the Tech Guide?
What other equipment (access points, switches, computers, WiFi components, gaming consoles, etc.) do you have connected to your network?
What does the light pattern look like on the MicroCell (power, ethernet, GPS, and 3G)? Are they all a solid green or is any of them blinking green or red, and if so, which one?
Have you done a hard reset of the MicroCell? See the Tech Guide for instructions.
Have you deactivated and reactivated your Mcell using AT&T's MicroCell website?
Does the ac adapter feel warmer than the top of the MicroCell where the vents are?

  • When we try to use apple tv there is no sound.  It was working fine for over a year.  Stopped working after we installed a new wifi system in the house - any suggestions?

It was working fine for over a year.  We installed a new wifi system - could that have anything to do with it?  It connects fine but will not play any sound?  Any suggestions

Thank you...I did try that and it did not work.  I've tried just about everything.  Today I tried hooking up to a different TV that does not have a receiver and it works fine.  I guess it has something to do with my receiver but I just can't figure it out.

  • After working fine for over a year, 160 quits working and goes into recover

So, I've had my 160gb iPod for awhile, and it has basically worked fine for a while.
Occasionally, it skips, but I just said whatever, and let it be.
Anyway, today I listened to it frequently, and it started to take about 15 seconds to actually start a song that I picked. So eventually, I became tired of it.
I went to play one song, and it skipped it and the other tracks after it.
I had this problem before, but after converting them to .m4a they worked fine.
However, these songs were already .m4a, so there wasn't too much I could really do.
So, I decided to restart the iPod with the standard Hold on off, select-center button at at the same time thing.
And then I tried to turn it back on, and when I did, it informed me that I needed to restore the iPod.
It showed me a snazzy picture of the USB cable, and explained it to me in a few in a few other languages.
So, I plugged it into the computer to try and get around it, and it informed me that the iPod was in recovery mode?
I've never heard of this, and I ultimately have no idea what to do. I don't want to have to restore, but I guess I'm going to. I'd really like to know why it freaked out on me though.

    See if this helps.
iTunes has detected an iPod in "recovery mode".

  • Cannot get mail, was working fine for over a year

I have used yahoo mail on iphone5c for over a year. Three days ago I stopped receiving mail and pop up Cannot Get Mail. I have deleted the account and added the account as instructed by Apple's and Yahoo's advise numerous times and it still doesn't work. Anyone else having this issue or know of a fix? Thanks and GOD bless!!!

Yahoo email is notoriously bad, you can do a search and see all the threads about yahoo email account.
Try using the yahoo app for emails.

  • SG500 POE issue on one port, worked fine for over a year!

    Hello,
I have 2 SG500 52 port switches in a stack. One is non-POE and the other is POE. I use the POE switches primarily to drive our Yealink T22P and T46G phones. They have worked flawlessly for about a year.
This weekend I updated the firmware and boot for the switches to the latest release.
    SG500#sh ver
Unit SW version Boot version HW version
    1 1.4.0.88 1.4.0.02 V02
    2 1.4.0.88 1.4.0.02 V02
Now all of a sudden a port that is being used to power one of the phones isn't working correctly, and the behavior is VERY odd (I will explain in a second). I have 20+ phones on this same POE switch that have no issues. I'm WELL under power budget since each phone draws about 2.5W.
Any phone that is plugged into this bad port at first looks like it works fine. It is in the right VLAN, auto smartport correctly identifies it, LLDAP-MED works as it should. The phone looks to be operational. It even might work fine for a while. But eventually when making a call the light in the screen starts flickering like crazy and you get a "static" sound on both ends of a call. It sounds like electrical interference. I can make a call and it will be fine for 1 minute and the next it starts doing this. It is NOT the phone. The same phone in a different switch port does not do this (in fact 20 others phones on different ports don't do it). ANY phone in this port shows this behavior.
The port in question (port 36), is showing Local POE as 0 Watts, Remote POE 2.9W (in Administration -> Discovery-LLDP -> LLDP Port Status). All other phones show Local POE as something like 2.5W. All settings on this port (36) are exactly the same as the rest of the ports on the switch that work fine with the EXACT same phones. I know it is the port on the switch that is causing the issue as well because I was able to isolate it. I tested the phone by plugging the phone that appears to be bad into a different wall outlet. I tested the wall outlet by switching the cables from the patch panel to the switch ports. I changed the patch cables as well. It is the switch port for a fact.
I did some searching and found some similar info related to the SG300. So I ran some of those commands and found some more info.
    SG500#show power inline gi2/1/36
Port Powered Device State Status Priority Class
    gi2/1/36 Auto Searching low class4
    Time range:
    Power limit: 30.0 W

Port Status: Port is off - detection is in process
    Overload Counter: 0
    Short Counter: 0
    Denied Counter: 2
    Absent Counter: 0
    Invalid Signature Counter: 1
Notice the port status (it shows this all the time) and the Class.
    This is compared to the same phone in a different port showing this;
    SG500#show power inline gi2/1/22
Port Powered Device State Status Priority Class
    gi2/1/22 Auto On low class2
    Time range:
    Power limit: 30.0 W
    Inrush Test: Enable
    Legacy Mode: Enable
Port Status: Port is on - valid capacitor/resistor detected
    Overload Counter: 0
    Short Counter: 0
    Denied Counter: 0
    Absent Counter: 5
    Invalid Signature Counter: 0
I am afraid to make any changes across all ports on the switch since they are working fine. So I am trying to make changes on just port 36 of this switch. I tried turning off EEE settings, didn't help. Tried turning off the VLAN and auto smartport settings, didn't help.
Is the port busted (if so I'm pretty upset with the purchase of this switch)? Is it something caused by the latest firmware?
In 15 years I haven't had a single faulty piece of hardware. If this is I sure hope Cisco is easy to deal with.

  • IPod not recognised after working fine for over a year

I got my mini ipod Christmas 2004 and it has worked beautifully ever since, until recently.
I plugged in my ipod to my laptop which is the computer I usually update and use itunes on and it states “USB Devise not recognised”, the usual “do not disconnect” sign didn’t show on my actual ipod. • Why is my wifi looking for a network all the time after working fine for over a year?

My wifi is connected but it's running slow, it drops completely, netflix runs so slow than it drops..etc. I've had the cable people here twice, once I updated my speed to more than doubled my speed and then I bought a very expensive router. Why does my computer wifi keep looking for networks when its already connected? Also, I've notice that my computer is acting like I've had it for 10 years and I've only had for 1.5 yrs. It's slow! It crashes! I have to sign in twice! It takes for ever to load, then it falls asleep after only a few mins even when its plugged in with full power. I'm so sick of this mac! I'm ready to run over it with my mini van and go back to HP for good!
Oh and the screen is unstable! willy nilly all over the place!

  • After using PayPal for over a year to make in-app purchases, now I can't. I changed my payment method to credit card but still can't. Anyone have suggestions/info?

I have been making in-app purchases with PayPal for over a year. Now I cannot. I changed my payment method to Credit card, but still can't. I can purchase music in itunes but no game purchases. My ID was disabled after a paypal dispute but after an entire evening on the phone with support and security, that was resolved. Any suggestions? If I have to spend more time on the phone with support, I will. But I would rather not.

  • Firefox will not work on this computer despite the fact that it has worked fine for the last year...

latest version has been added ... does not fire up...
using windows 7 service pack 1

    Hello,
'''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)''
    * You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
'''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article for that.
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.''
''When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.''
    Thank you.

My iPhone has suddenly stopped working. It now says the battery is dying and to charge it. After charging it for over an hour, there is no change. The power won't come on, and I am left with a blank screen advising me to plug my phone into the charger.

Try different USB Cable, try different Charger. Clean iPhone charging port with clean dry toothbrush. If still problem and you have Warranty or AppleCare, make Genius reservation and take iPhone to Apple for resolution. If no coverage, most likely it could be battery or charging port assembly that need replacement.
