I just bought a creative audigy sound blaster SE and i installed everything
first: problem: where do i have to put the cable of my microfone? in the blue or red bus?
and if i have putted in the blue or red one, do i have to change something in my configurtation of my soundcard?

UNRECONIZED PROBLEM WITH SB AUDIGY SOUND CARD

Hi, you all. Pls help me with this problem of my SB Audigy Platinum (SB0060). In Windows XP or even Windows Vista, they can find out my sound card as an Multimedia new hard ware, but when I install sound card driver from CD (original CD driver) fail to install and a message like this: "we cannot find any support products in this computer, pls make sure that is is plugged in your computer already...". I am very disappointed with this 'cause i really like the quality of this Creative sound source. Pls help me. Thanks a lot! That is quite odd. Your Audio HQ should look like this: http://img23.echo.cx/img23/8494/hqdecode7kl.jpg. If not, then you should uninstall you drivers (using the CTZAPXX.exe app on the CD) and reinstall them.
2. When I choose to calibrate my speakers -> basic, FL, FR, RL, RR, C plays ok BUT after that a low freq sound plays for 3 secs then my SL and SR starts to play a high freq beeps respecti'vely...
The program does the same thing on my old T5400 and my current Cambridge MegaWorks 550. My brother has the Audigy 2 ZS also and his Logitech Z-5300s do it as well. I think the program is funky, not your speakers.
3. Since I want to enjoy DTS, I downloaded Windvd, cofigured it to 8 channels (7.). But the SL and SR wont play anything... So I tried Windvds test and all goes well until it is SL and SR turn, they dont play anything... Almost the same as the speaker calibration app. BUT note that in the Creative THX setup console everything works well...

Go into the Options for your DVD software (this applies to any player, not just WinDVD) and set it to S/PDIF Passthrough. This will send the digital signal to your card, which will see it and decode it. Setting WinDVD to 7. mode will try to have the CPU decode the signal. If it doesn't work with WinDVD, then try using Media Player Classic 6.4.x.x and setting the decoder settings to Digital Passthrough. Note that you need to make sure the that decoders are enabled in the Audio HQ (for which you may need to reinstall your drivers.
Note: DTS-ES supports 6.. Dolby Digital EX supports 7., I think.

Computer Crashes with Creative Labs Sound Blaster 5.1 Live Card

Several weeks ago when I booted up my computer a msg apeared saying new device found(the sound blaster card mentioned in the title) even tough it had worked for months beofre then and even the night b4. Shortly after I get a beep from the mother board and the computer crashes several seconds after start up.
I thought maybe their could be some conflicting driver issues or something so I checked the BIOS and it said the onboard sound was disabled. Restarting the computer several times it kept crashing. I removed the card, booted up the computer and everything worked fine (except the sound) and it did not crash. I tried putting the card in the other PCI slots thinking that was the problem but it crashed each time.
Right now the card it ploped on the desk and I have the Creative 5. speakers running off the onboard card on my Is7-E mobo but the sound is **bleep**ty as hell and the speakers are ligned up corectly and I am having all sorts of trouble with that. I am getting basic sound though. I havnt had time to pursue the matter untill now. Do you guys think the card for some reason is damaged or Its an issue on my computer Crashing it's

Heh, srry about using the S word. Ah, I whiped all the audio drivers etc...from the guid in that link. I poped the card in, booted up the computer...alas it still crashed. So now I have to get my temp sound working again. Is their anyway to tell if a compenent is phsicly dmged? I can not be shure if this is a software issue(which I dont think it is because I followed your whipe guid) or a hardware issue. I dont understand what could of hapened to it, it simply stoped working. Im not shure why my computer crashes at start up as mentioned above and doent simply not work. Any more thoughts would be great.

Pc shutdown problems with Creative audigy 1 (irewire 1394) on nforce2 chip

Hi! Please help with advice to a user in Ukraine.
I experience a hangup at pc shutdown with my creti've audigy card - i think the problem lies in it, I use winxp sp2 (english version), latest driver for a card. Moreover, when computer hangs at shutdown (deadly hangs)and there is no other option but to power it off or reset, after reboot every time when i have this situation my audio Hq preset are gone and there is a dark blank space where used to be rock, pop etc. presets in a creative task tray icon. after just fersh driver reinstall and reboot presets appear and i have to configure every time mannualy.One more thing in hq audio presets setting original sound amount is always at zero.
I have recently upgraded from intel i845e cipset with celeron ,7 willamette, where i had no such problems even at overclocking
My present day pc is Abit an7 (lupgraded latest bios .8) nforce2 ultra, it has onboard audio realtek alc658.
Amd athlon xp 2,6 Barton (,5 by 66)
Jetram transcend 400 Mh 52 Mb - spd 2,5-3-3-8 (currently at 2-3-3-6 on 333 Mh )

I switched off extra onboard devices to free irqs - so every device has a separate irq
i tried taking out modem thus leaving sound card the only device in pci slot - the problem remains.
Only when i take out the sound card and use onboard codec i have no such problems.
I tried using standard ide microsoft drivers instaed nvidia ones - it didn't help.
THis hangup at shutdown happens randomly time per 5-7 shutdowns (but mostly after gaming or watching movies).
also there are two 394 ports - one supported by a southbridge of my mobo and another on the sound card ( i disabled both in windows device manager)
I like the sound of creative better then alc 658 and i don't want to get rid of my card.
is there any way to solve my trouble ?

Sound problem with the Audigy 2 va

Hi, I have asound problem with the Audigy 2 value. most of applictaions I played got sound. however, when I play FS2004, the sounds come on only the ATC voice in game playing, 5sec after the voice over, the sound is gone, and only when another voice is playing, the sound comes out. please helps out.

Optical Input on Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCI-E with Logitech z-5

So i plugged in my Optical cord into my new sound card the Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCI-E and it worked only in the Front right, Front left, Front centre, and the subwoofer. Now i hear i need a external decoder... but then again that my sound card should decode it as well... the place i bought my card recemended a optical cord for my card?with the?speakers i have?(the?Logitech Z-5500) How much are decoders? What should i do next? Creative seams to have limited support especialy on optical inputs.

I must have answered something like that in another thread sometime ago, but here goes:
A single SPDIF connection, optical or coaxial, will only transfer stereo in analog form; no rear or centre channels!
There are two ways you can get all speakers playing via such a connection:
() Get your speakers to upmix the audio source to play on all fi've of them
(2) Output a Dolby Digital (AC3) or DTS signal. These contain the multichannel information encoded in the stereo signal. A suitable decoder (such as the one contained in the Z-5500) will be able to analyze the signal. Unfortunately, this is something you can mostly find in movies.
So, to sum it up, no natural everyday multichannel sound over one SPDIF (e.g. no EAX, directsound3d etc.)

Problem with Creative Audio Control Panel

) Heya, I just bought a SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio and I've encountered a problem with Creative Audio Control Panel. My OS is Win7 x64; I have installed the newest drivers for SB. The problem is that I can't set my setup for headphones. I mean I can do that and it's working untill I turn off the PC or restart the system. After that it always sets for 2/2. Speakers. Any ideas how to make this thing to remember my settings the way I want it's Thanks!

Problem with SB1240 USB sound card

I'm pulling hair here! I've just bought a SB240. Windows (XP Pro, SP3) detected it and I can select it fine for listening. But when I open Sound and Audio Device Properties and select Sound Recording/Volume, I see the Capture panel with the three inputs, but all the controls are greyed out and immovable. I also use the application "Total Recorder" by High Criteria, in which I can select the SB240 device but the only input line it sees is SPDIF Interface.
I'm stumped. Can anyone help?

Thank you. I did a complete uninstall, including the device itself (from Device Manager) as well as all drivers and any SB related software. As recommended by Creative, I had previously installed the driver software from the supplied CD and that seems to have been the problem.
I let Windows re-detect the SB, but? got a "problem ... device may not work correctly.." during the detection, so I was not hopeful (this had not happened the first time I installed the device).
Nevertheless it now does work fully and is properly configured in "Total Recorder" too.
So I would suggest not using the supplied drivers and software - at least not in WinXP. But it's not very confidence inspiring.

Hi all, I have a weird problem with my audigy 4. When I install the Nvidia IDE and Sata driver for my motherboard, I get sound problem in BF2, It glitches, I don't here my gun, well it's all ****ed up. Does anyone know why?Thanks in advance.

I have had every iphone model ever made. I have never had a problem like this before. It appears that there are small spots all over the screen. Not to be confused with the "yellow spots" other iphone 4 user have been reporting due to the glue not drying before they reached the customer. This is a different type of spot. I would compare it to a petrie dish that scientist test for things in.
The only thing I can think of is something is happening with the coating over the glass (oleophobic coating maybe braking down?). It only happened on the front screen and not the back glass. You can get the spots to go away when you use a micro fiber cloth to remove the natural oil from your face against the phone. The minute you start using the phone again, they appear. They are kinda annoying and make your phone screen look dirty and have a weird glare in it when your in the sun.
I made an appointment tomorrow to go to the apple store to see what they can tell me. Hope fully its nothing major. The worst thing that could happen is the phone gets replaces by another. Ill keep everyone update.

Change the player to mplayer or something in the control panel (Sound and Multimedia - System notifications - Player Settings).

I'm trying to install the software included with creative Zen V Plus but it is not possible - it stops at 63%
I get this following error:
"CTIntrfu.dll can not be installed"
"DoInstall fails to launch E:\PDE\CTXInst\Setup.inx"
I'm using "Windows XP 2002 home edition - serivce pack 2"
I'll appreciate any help.

Hey Guys,Here is a link to instructions on how How to obtain and to install USB 2.0 drivers in Windows XP Service Pack . http://support.microsoft.com/default...;EN-US;Q329632?Win2000 and later have the capability to support USB 2.0, but USB 2.0 was released after XP was release, so there weren't any drivers installed before Windows XP service pack 2. Make sure you've installed all your windows updates including service pack 2. You can check if you have SP2 by right-clicking on my computer and choosing "properties", it will say on the general tab. Also the way to tell if you have USB 2.0 drivers installed is to right-click on my choose "Manage", then choose "device manager" look down to "uni'versal serial Bus controllers" and click on the + . This will expand the USB devices. Look for the word "enchanced" (USB enhanced host controller). If you see it, then you have USB 2.0 support. If not, use the link above and get the drivers. - Try insering and removing the headphone plug a dozen times or so.
- Try cleaning out the headphone jack in the iPod.
- Resett he iPod. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restoe to factory defaults/new iPod
If yu still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem, likely a bad headphone jack. Yu can make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store to confirm.
If not underwarranty Apple will only exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for:

I have this problem too, but it is intermittent. Sometimes the lock/unlock volume will drop to barely-audible, even though in settings the volume slider hasn't changed. If I then move the volume slider, it fixes the problem and the lock sounds jump back to normal, but then later on the problem will happen again.

Problem with Creative Zen Touch DAP-HD0014

I have the Creative Zen Touch DAP HD004 as listed in the subject. Version .0.03
In the "Information" part of the player, it lists it as having GB of music available, but in the menu only the 59 default classical music songs appear. (These are not knowingly mine!)
I was wondering whether there was any way to turn the player into Hard Dri've mode to retrieve these songs, or to use some sort of program to view them and put them back onto the player? Everytime I use My Computer to browse the MP3 Player, all that appears are the same 59 songs.
I hope this information can help someone to solve my problem!!

EDIT: I downloaded a trial version of "Notmad Explorer" and I can now see 2590 Data Files. Once I download a full version, is it simple to just conver Data Files into Audio Files?
