Microph

I am using a Sound Blaster li've 24 bit and my microphone doesn't work anymore. Sometimes it just decides to work and some other days it doesn't work. The microphone is new and there is no problems with the cord. I made sure the cord was plugged in the right spot. It worked before on this computer and does work on other computers. My microphone is not muted the volume is up on the microphone and it is selected under properties in the advanced. I did just about every microphone walk through there is to do. I reinstalled the drivers. I even reinstalled windows still nothing seems to work. It doesn't run on anyprogram I try even windows microphone voice test. My sound is working fine and I have been to the control panel> sounds and audio devices> to the voice tab many times and can't seem to figure this problem out. The microphone boost is checked. Again it worked less than a day ago now just stopped working on this computer.

Hello, anyone who got problems in plugging in a microphone to a soundcard will experience some kind of difficulties figured out below. First, most soundcards allow only monophonic operation and not stereo. This is necessary, due to main operation on headsets does not need stereo using a minimum of wiring on sockets etc. Second, microphones?are covering a?great area?in connectors and electrical specifications. For instance condensor studio mircophones cannot work anyhow on soundcards directly, whilst needing a so called phantom voltage supplied by the?mixer, externally, or?an inbuilt battery sholud be switched on at least (mostly forgotten). Dynamic microphones should work without any separate supply voltage, however the?impedances are varying,?that is why not any microphone maybe suitable?just to plug and play in soundcard operation.
But, there is a good solution for those problems, just?by using the basic "line-in" input of the soundcard. You may get featured stereo sound, basically. However, an input amplifier is always needed to fit the desired input voltage level of the sound card and adjusting to the correct impedances.Make sure on the windows mixer panel now you have to activate on recording panel the "line-in" and not the "total-input" mixer. And set the correct tick boxes. Best regardsK.-H. B.

  • PLEEEEEEEZE!!!!! HELP!!! I am trying to find this particular product/microph

I have a particular microphone that is about 8-0 inches in length...it sits on a very small stand, and just plugs into the back of the PC where the mic jack is. I think it is to be used with a web cam, so people can hear the person on the other side of the camera. On the stand it has the Creative Logo, however, when I go to the Creative web site I can not find it anywhere!! It is in the normal "computer off whiteish color, with the platform of about3-3 /2" wide&4" or so long, then the chord comes out the end of the mic, which is a very skinny flexible, bendable tube, and at the very tip(the actual mic) is just a little bit bigger around, and that part is probably about an inch&/2 long...i hope I've actually done a good job explaining this, and not completely confused everyone!!! LOL!!! Anyways, my problem is this... I can not find it online to download any software (if I actually need to, and if I don't than I'm hoping someone will let me know that too)If I do need to download the software, can someone kindly tell me where to go, also, I need to know if there is something special I need to do to make it work. PLEEEEEEEEEEZE!!!!! ANYONE OUT THERE..... I'D BE FOREVER GRATEFUL IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME GET THIS WORKING BEFORE MY MOM WHO LIVES IN TEXAS 2,700 MILES AWAY, KILLS ME...CUZ SHE WANTS TO BE ABLE TO SEE AND HEAR ME&HER GRANDKIDS!!! I succesfully downloaded the web cam, but am not sure if I got this darn mic working!! You can email me at [email protected] or [email protected] or yahoo instant msg at screen name kimmyann07 Hope to hear from someone ANYONE SOON!!! Thank you and Merry Christmas!!!
    Thanks Again!

    1. test online or
    2. adjust your local security settings, http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.htm l
if that does not solve your 2060, post the url to your embedding html.
you also have other errors that you'll need to fix including defining all your functions and using embedding code compatible with externalinterface.

  • Updated to usb 2.0, having issues with the zen microph

basically, put a new usb 2.0 card thing in my computer and when i plug my zen microphoto to it i get a message saying that i need to install the drivers for it, which i can't find online and don't have the cd for anymore.
My Zen Nano Plus works fine on it and i didnt have to do anything, any ideas what i can do?

I had the issue and read almost every blog on the net in order to fix it.
RESTORE the iPhone as a NEW phone, and the issue will be resolved.
I read that pictures on the phone itself can also be a cause of the issue so deleted all of the pictures off of my computers before restoring the phone also. (not much of a pic guy)
My camera is now fine. PLEASE email me if you have issues, i know little tweaks can help/hurt an issue, so feel free to ask me

  • Problem with digital output and microph

Hello! I recently bought a new motherboard MSI K8N SLI Platinum that have onboard Sounblaster Li've 24bit, with coaxial and spdif and also the standard outputs. I ve connected via a fiber optical cable to my amplifier and i checked the digital output only box to the advanced settings on the mixer. I am hearing sound very well from my amplifier but when i connect headphones to with microphone to my soundcard , i don't hear anything at all from my headphones. Also i cannot speak via microphone. If i uncheck the box digital output only i hear sound from my headphones and also i can speak to microphone. Is there some way to have them both enabled? In my previous motherboard i didn't have that problem. I could hear sound from my amplifier with pcm signal and from my headphones and microphone analog at the same time.
    Thanks!

    Thibaud,
The clue is here: " i take acquisition with one sample on demand."
You are apparently using software timed output. To maintain accurate phasing at 80 Hz you need timing which is accurate to better than 4 milliseconds. This is not likely to occur with a desktop operating system. Sometimes it will be good and other times OS latencies will throw the timing way off.
If your board supports it, use hardware timing. The timebase sources on most boards are far more precise and accurate than software timing.

  • RE-Installing os for ZEN Microph

I never updated my firmware before and erased it from my Microphoto. I can't download drivers, new firmware, anything. HOW DO I RE-INSTALL the os/firmware to my Zen Microphoto!!!
    Does anyone have any solutions...Pls.

If you chose "Reload OS" in Recovery/Rescue mode, then you should be able to load a firmware update to get that sorted again. What happens when you run the firmware update file? Do you get an error message?

  • Zen Micro Recording with built-in microph

    Hi,
is there any way i can adjust the recording volume of the microphone built in the zen micro?
and is there any way i can record using my own microphone instead of the built-in one?
    thanks..

The answer to both those questions is no. You get what you get with the built in mic.

  • Problem with Zen Microph

    Hi all...
I have just bought a Zen Microphoto and have installed everything on the CD, but when I connect it to my computer, it can't find a driver for it - even though the CD still is in the dri've...
I have also been trying to charge the battery, but when I connect it to the PC with the USB Cable, then the light starts flashing over the battery on the display.. After 3 hours it doesn't seem like it have moved... Should the microphoto be turned on or off when charging?
Hope you can understand my English..
    Kind regards,
    Mike Larsen, Denmark

I'm having the EXACT same problem. I've looked through all the forums and nothing seems to help. I'm getting severely pissed off and this is fricking ridiculous.

  • TV shows and podcast for Zen microph

My son had to get the Zen microphoto. He couldn't be like my girls and get the apple photo. He claims Zen is so much better. How /where do I go to get tv shows and 'video' podcast for the microphoto The girls have tons in their itunes account. I guess I can't drag the tv shows out of itunes and into zen? There has to be a way to get video on this thing, after all it has a beautiful screen which I hope can be used for more than looking at song titles.
Thanks in advance for your help.

The Zen MicroPhoto does not support video playback. The only players that do are the Zen Vision and Zen Vision:M.
As for podcasts, goto www.zencast.com and download ZenCast. You can transfer audio podcasts to the player this way.

  • Some quick questions about Zen Microph

    Hello,
I just received my Zen 8GB Microphoto today after recently purchasing it and I love it so far, but I have a couple questions.
. The pdf manual that came with the installation disc makes it clear that you shouldn't jog with the Zen Micro since continuous shocks aren't good for it. This is a bit of a shock (no pun intended) for me since I planned to use this quite a bit while running, and I know that micro-dri've MP3 players are susceptible to shock which results in skipping, but this seems a bit extreme. Is this statement just "extra-precautionary" so Creative can say to you, "I told you so" just in case it breaks, or has anyone actually have one of these things break pretty quickly from jogging with it's
    2. This might be a stupid question but according again to the pdf manual you have to be using the supplied headphones to scan for radio stations as well as recording radio stations while listening to them, but nothing was mentioned about simply listening to FM radio. Will I be able to use the FM radio feature without using the headphones that came with my Zen Photo. I'd test but I haven't had a lot of time to mess with it yet and it's still charging, but I would really hate to have to not use my Shure E3cs in order to be able to use the FM radio.

  • Downloading photo directly from digital camera to zen microph

Is it possible to download photos from my digital camera to my zen microphoto without my computer? Or is there another (small) hardward that would work? I'm traveling to asia and would like to store my photos but I'm not taking my computer.

I don't think it's possible to do it with a Creative player, but I've seen a few relati'vely low-cost portable hard disks that transfer directly from a camera or flash card.
Another possibility is just buy one or more large ( GB+) memory cards for your camera.

  • Strange sound when switching on the microph

    i use a "sound blaster li've! value".
i don't remember when this strange signal noise had appeared but later found out, that you can hear it only, if you turn on the microphone input.
the noise appears and disappears and it doesn't change if you use or do not use the microphone jack.
my english is too bad to find the right word for the sound but it think this is the most accurate description for it: if you fry an egg in a frying pan you'll get this cracking sound, sometimes it gets louder an if the pan gets colder the sound volume decreases. if you plug a connector into the output jack very slowly you could hear a similar sound.
to solve this problem i tried to change the audio driver, i tried using the "kx project". the problem appears with this driver as soon as i turn on the ac97 chip.
therefore i assume the ac97 chip is broken.
if there isn't a way to solve this, is there a way to use my onbord c-media audio chip parallel to my soundblaster? the c-media chip is crap and i would just use the microphone input, the output should be done by the soundblaster, is this possible?
if somebody has an idea, please answer me!
    thanks, uli

    You are quite welcome.

  • Xfi xtreme gaming - problems with microph

hi, i just bought the xfi xtreme gaming sound blaster. but in the teamspeak, other mates hear there voice with hall, my voice and everything that?s happening on my pc, for example the music i ?play on my computer and the soundeffects in my games and sounds in windows. another problem is that, if i change the sound mode (for example from entertainment mode to gaming mode and back) my mixer settings reset. so what can i do?

i have already checked 'micrphone' in the recording settings. when i go to the xtreme gamer mixer settings, and i select the microphone under 'rec', another line with microphone appears and i don?t know what that mean. a buddy bought the same soundcard and has exactly the same problem. i can fix it for my daily usage (setting the teamspeak voice activation volume a bit louder and the record volume some quieter. but i think if i will record some music with the microphone (i play in a band), the problem will still be there (record all that i hear through my speakers / headphones)
the problem is still there, so i didn?t solve the problem! i just decrease the symptoms!

  • Firmware & connectivity problem in ZEN MicroPh

I really need some help...i bought yesterday a zen microphoto and i spent a lot of ours to configure it but i failed. Some months ago i had i zen micro so i'm not completely irrelevant with the subject. My Zen micro worked fine. But zen microPhoto does not!My computer recognizes it as a removable dri've but not as Zen player.Windows also recognizes it as a MTP player, but when i choose to organize it with media source,it says to connect my player even if is connected. I've tried to fix it in many ways:install-uninstall the device and the drivers, restart again and again my pc,put in and out the battery but nothing. Then i thought to get it in recovery mode and choose the 'reload firmware' option.(Maybe it was a wrong choice, but i could'n find anything else to do). The firmware was deleted and when i tried to run the new one,the window of the 'Plays for sure firmware update' prompted my to connect the player with my PC(even if it was recognized by windows). Now i have a useless zen device without a firmware. What can i do?Try another PC maybe?
I would appreciate any help... Thanx!
p.s. When i had the Zen micro,i didn't have these kind of problems. When i was connecting it,media source automatically recognized it and prompted my to organised it. I had no prompt from Windows for MTP player etc.

maybe i did the same thing i don't know..... i never ever got my damm microphoto to connect to my computer so a friend let me borrow her laptop, and?i took the advantage of ripping a large part of my cd collection onto my zen... awesome?so i was deleting some of the photos that come with it, when it froze... i took the battery out, and put it back in.... and waited for the library to rebuild.... now the screen says "select music to play from music library"... but there are absolutely no songs or albums, in my zen now wtf? no pictures either.... i go into system information and it says that there's "85MB free space"... so my songs are still in here and not deleted.... and now i keep connecting it to the usb, and the media explorer says "device not connected".... arrgghh i'm getting so frustrated someone help me please what happened? i've just about had it with this piece of junk so many problems with it from day one... i don't know why i didn't return it when i had the chance.....

  • Found nice cheap leather case for my MicroPh

    See attached link:
    http://www.daydeal.com/Oval_Belt_Clip_Leather_Pouch_-p-8568.html
I had a nasty spill with my ZMP last week which rendered it broken. I was listening to it while it was in the Micro cradle and clip and my headphone cords got stuck on something and the player flew across concrete and slammed into a wooden fence. The headphone jack broke (could only hear out of left side, not right).
Anyway, I bought a new ZMP and wanted a nice sturdy case and found the one above at daydeal.com. It was only $9.99 with free shipping in the US so I figured what the heck. It's perfect for me ... yes, I know you can't access controls through the front but the whole flap opens up easy (magnetized) and the ZMP slides out effortlessly. I use Sony EX5's so it is a right-angle headphone jack and it fits perfectly (if you use a straight plug, you may have to cut a hole in the case. Another thing I like is that I can wrap my headphone cords around the open flap where the magnet is and it takes up the extra slack so it's not dangling to get caught on things. Lastly, the beltclip part on this case is big, tight and sturdy ... it shouldn't fall off or get pulled off of your belt or pants (not easily anyway) but I love how wide and tight this beltclip is.
Also, I wrap my EX5's wires around the magnetized flap when not in use so it has on-board earbud storage.
Great deal for $9.99 ... it's leather, too ...Message Edited by mdscriber3 on 02-2-2006 0:58 AMMessage Edited by mdscriber3 on 02-2-2006 05:43 PM
