Microphone doesn't work , can someone help me ?
I have an ipod touch 5g, running iOS 7.1.1 . I think i have a problem with my microphone as siri does not work (it can't hear my voice) neither can the dictaphone or even shazam. Is there any solution to make it work or is it that my mic is broken or damage ?
- Make sure the mic hole is clear and unobstructed. It is the little hole on the back by the camera lens(if has back camera). For the 16 GB one without the back camera the mic hole is on the top edge near the center.
- Open the Voice Memos app and see if you see movement on the VU meter needle or changs in the moving waveform graph with changes in noise level trying to be recorded.
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

By the slide to unlock screen, are you talking about the slider at the bottom of the screen after taking out of sleep mode?
And by trying the sleep/wake button and home button, are you talking about a reboot by holding both the power/sleep button and the home button until the apple logo appears and it reboots? And that does not help release the issue with the slider?
Are you sure the iPhone is well charged?
If none if this helps, have you tried syncing/backing up to a compter and then restore by iTunes on a computer?
If you cannot do any of this it would be good to schedule a visit to an Apple store genius bar and have the techs try their hand and diagnostics. -
Bluetooth Mouse and keyboard STILL Not working can someone help me?
i have an apple Bluetooth Keyboard and wireles mighty mouse. Since i have installed leopard months ago it was working fine but then my mouse and keyboard stopped pairing with my Powerbook it recognises the devices but the refuse to pair i changed the batteries and installed the software that cam ith the keyboard and mouse and still nothing works.

Faxing to multiple fax numbers ...it doesn't work, can you help?

I need to send one fax to multiple recipients. In the Help section, it says that once I've opened the FAX window, I can open the address book by clicking on the address book icon. That works, but when I click on a group or even just one address I get a beep sound and no results. So it's not letting me. I tried on another Mac and got the same thing. I CAN type in a fax number , but I don't want to sit there and type in all the fax numbers every time. The fax help SAYS I can, but I can't. Does anyone know why this isn't working? Can someone help? Thanks!!!!!!
KarenTry resetting it. Hold down the Sleep and the Home buttons until the Apple logo displays on the screen. This will not have any effect on your data.

Apple Stores are not the only place to have Macs repaired. You can take your comp to your local AASP. First you should call AppleCare like the previous poster stated.

I can't get my brand new IPOD Nano to work - can someone help?
I have donwloaded 7.3 but when it gets to the point it is supposed to launch I get an error message saying it is on a locked disk taht I do not have permission to write to - I don't know what that means. I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall 7.3 multiple times but I still get the same message . . . can someone help?

The usual cause for errors is that the security question responses are case sensitive. If case sensitivity is not an issue with your answers, see the last step in the attached section of the article below.

Simon in U/Knevermind, managed to sort it although i have now lost everything, never again will i have a sony phone, pile of junk is probably the nicest term i can think of for them, this happened with mine, and my partners was broken (somehow screen smashed without any assistance) within 2 weeks of having it. samsung all the way!

IPhone 4S microphone doesn's work! Please Help!
My IPhone 4S is about a year and a half old and I got it last february. Now my microphone is not only not working in calls, but it doesn't work in apps either. It only works some of the time in my camera when i'm taking videos and in speaker phone during calls. I don't know what's wrong with it but I guess I'm not the only person with this issue. Also apparently Apple does absolutely nothing about it and just tell you to buy a new one. It seems like all IPhone 4(S) users have this problem eventually. Recently I took my phone off of insurance because of the cost before realizing that it doesn't work properly. Does anyone have suggestions or ways to fix this issue? I definitely cannot afford a new phone right now and i will definitely not be looking into another IPhone when i get an upgrade. Also, does anyone with the 5 have these problems after this long? Apple needs to fix this or they will lose me and possibly many more as a customer.
