Microphone Error, anything to

Hey folks
I don't know if it is possible to fixs this, or if anyone is going to help me. But i have now had this problem in a year, and now im pretty fed up so i have lately been posting on every board to find someone who might could help.
Anyways, to the subject. To say it stright and easy, my microphone doesnt work. Nothin. Not at all. Everything else works, my mic on my webcamera(which is connected via USB and is installed) works, this seem to be because it has its own 'program' which i need to install to use it. And since im gaming i cant use that mic. I have a brand new Icemat now, black. So i know that the mic is allright, and that i also have plugged it right.
Im not 00% sure about what short of hardware i have, it seem to be SB X-Fi XtremeGamer. All i know is that in my sound setting, the standard unit is named something like this: SB X-Fi Audio [DC00]. I've also checked the Audio Console for settings, seems to be allright thou.
I really hope anyone has a sulution to this, if not what can i do? can it never be fixed? We will see

A few weeks ago, I bought a new mac mini. I recently tried to use a microphone that I used on a previous computer, but the computer isn't reading it.
Any ideas?

Get a usb microphone. Just about any one will work.
The Mini expects an amplified mic signal thru the microphone port -- and most mics designed for PCs don't provide this.
But using a usb mic gets around this.
Or you can get a converter for your old mic like the iMic:

I have error anything pause

many time my screen go gray and error massege with multi language appear , that I must restart my system.

Restart holding command and R keys down to get into recovery mode. Or hold down the Option key and choose "Recovery HD" from the Startup Manager
From Mac OS X Utilities you can directly select:
Restore From Time Machine Backup
Reinstall Mac OS X
Get Help Online (wired or wireless internet connection required)
Disk Utility
Open Disk Utility and select the Mac hard drive then repair permissions and also verify/repair disk.

Microphone records anything but not voices

Hi,
Okay so here's my problem.
I have a MacBook Air 11'' and the built in mic has always been great.
But now it seems to 'hear' everything, it's very sensitive anyway, but NOT VOICES. I wanted to record a text while reading and it doesn't hear voices, or hear them so low even with the volume up to 100% you can barely hear a whisper, no matter how close I am to the mic or how loud I speak.
Anybody has an idea ?

Hi, I am hoping someone can help me.
I want to add a logitech microphone and use that instead of the internal microphone.
I have purchased a standard desktop microphone with a jack but when I plug it into the "audio line in" on the left side of the computer it does see there is something plugged in but cannot recognise its a logitech microphone it just calls it a "Line In Realtek high definition audio default device" and it cannot hear an noise.
I have tried looking at the settings but there doesn't seem a way of changing it and when I try to add another device it wont find it.
Any ideas?

That would be what would be expected, there's no way for the OS to identify which kind of microphone you've installed, the mini-jack does not transmit any data. You may have other issues such as needing to set gain, etc, but it will never identify a microphone as anything more.

Everything works fine, but I get an error when I restrict access to my web
service with a declarative security model by implementing steps provided in
help doc:
- Define the web resource you wish to protect
- Define which security role is required to access the web resource
- Define which users are granted the required security role
- Configure WebLogic Server security for my web service(Compatibility
Security/Users)
I launch the service by entering the address in a web browser. When prompted
to accept the digital certificate, click Yes, when prompted for network
authentication information, enter username and password, navigate to the
Test Form tab of Test View, invoke the method by clicking the button and I
get the following exception:

I have a simple Hello method as well in my WebService (which is also
restricted) and it works fine, but remote EJB access doesn't. I tested my
prototype on Weblogic 7.2 and 8.1 platforms - same result.
Is that a bug or I am missing some additional configuration in order to get
that working. Has anyone seen similar behavior? Is there a known resolution?
Or a suggested way to work around the problem?

Note: inter-domain communication is configured properly. The Web Service to

whereas you should not be specifying the "t3:" protocol.
The URL should be like
jndi://secuser1:[email protected]:7131/AccountDelegatorEJB
Please do let me know if you see any issues with this.
Note that this will only allow you to access remote EJBs in the same WLS
domain. For accessing EJBs on another domain, you need to configure
inter-domain communication by
following a few simple steps as mentioned at

been provided in the EJB Control Workshop documentation.

How do I distribute my xml error code file?

Hi all,
I am using labVIEW 8.2 Prof. on a RedHat Linux.
I built an application where I made the tick in the labVIEW build specification "Advanced->Copy error code files". Nevertheless when I start my new application and force an error which is actually defined in my error code file I get the message "This error code is undefined. ..."
My error code file is saved twice:
1. in /usr/local/lv82/user.lib/errors which works as long as I am using the VIs and not the actual application and
2. in <project-folder>/errors
Anything I missed?

It will not let me install Itunes 1.6.1 on my Windows 7 OS and keeps coming with an error and rolls back, what can i do?

Everytime i tried to update my i tunes to 1.6.1 it wouldn't let me and came up with this error.
I'd hit OK then it would roll back and start again and end with this error

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also 80070002, or some other number? (If they're another number, what number are you getting?)

Pavilion 14 TS b157TU Inbuilt Microphone not working.

Hi,
My HP Pavilion 14 TS b157TU runs on windows 8.1.The inbuilt microphone has stopped working. I have gone through all the options in Skype: have enabled internal microphone, updated for latest drivers, made sure correct mics are selected in Skype Options, checked Permissions for the Skype app, restarted the computer but in vain....When I use an external headset I am able to record my voice and it works fine but with the internal/inbuilt microphone Skype test call records nothing when I speak. I can hear and see my friend on Skype, and she can see me; but she cannot hear me.
Please give me a solution to this problem.

Welcome to the HP Forums!
I see the internal microphone is no longer working in your Pavilion 14 notebook.
Have you tested the microphone in anything other than Skype? If not please follow the steps below:
Press Windows Key + C.
Click Search at the top of the Charms bar.
Type Sound Recorder.
Click on Sound Recorder.
Click Start Recording.
Make some noise for about 10 seconds. Sing a song, clap your hands, yell random nonsense. Have some fun.
Click Stop Recording.
A window will open to save the file.
Click Desktop on the left.
Enter Test for the File name.
Click Save.
Make sure your volume is up and open the file on your desktop.
If you can hear things properly in here the microphone is working and I would suggest contacting Skype support.
If you cannot hear anything on this recording try restoring the original drivers with the HP Recovery Manager. To see how to restore drivers follow this guide: Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 8).
If that fails, try restoring the computer to before the issue started. To do this follow this guide: Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8).

hi guys, sorry for late reply. i have had the broadband connected to the test socket like you sadi for 30 mins. my downstream now is even worse and so is my download speed. how can i get bt to put my downstream back to 6mbs and reset my ip profile to 6 mbs. i was getting 5.38mbs i am now getting 4.1 mbs.

BC4J Error hangs around

Hi... can somebody tell me why when I get an error (say Primary Key error), anything I do after that causes an exception until the browser is shutdown and restarted...
Do I need to clean up some stuff?

I'm having the same problem.
I've deployed my BC4J project to Tomcat and there seems to be a problem when many users are trying to insert records into the same table in Oracle. When someone gets an error ( say unique constraint ) then the error hangs around and the other users start to get the error too.

javax.sql.DataSource) in type com.bea.p13n.util.jdbc.SequencerFactory.

The class is available, but the method is not. Putting the class in a file, and
using workshop's method completion facility, the method was not listed. Neither
is the method listed in the javadocs for the class.
If you are convinced that the method does exist, but workshop won't let you compile,
you may want to clear the workshop caches stop/start your dev environment and
see if that helps. In our experience workshop's cache sometimes interferes with
compiling.

False Alarms?

Hi,
We have noticed alarms being displayed on Cisco Prime Collaboration for endpoints that seem as if they are false.. Has anyone experienced this before?
For example we have a Cisco C90 Codec that is displaying Microphone errors on inputs that are utilised and inputs that are not however upon using the system it seems fine.
Below is an example error we are getting
Would this have anything to do with the version the endpoint is on maybe?

Problem sending a standard landscape SSRS report to a printer

I have successfully used the Printer Delivery Extension sample (_//msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms252091(v=vs.100).aspx) in a vb.net winforms application to send a 28” X 17” rdlc report to a specialty printer.
However, I cannot seem to successfully send an 8.5” X 11” landscape report (rdlc) directly to a printer without preview or printdialog using the same approach.
I have tried setting the paper size to “custom” in Report Properties in the report design (this automatically reverts to “Letter” due to the dimensions). I also tried reversing the width/height dimensions in the report design and in the “PageWidth”
and “PageHeight” settings in the <DeviceInfo> configuration info for the output emf file. I have tried various combinations of PrintDocument settings (including setting DefaultPageSettings.Landscape=true), with no success. I also tried setting
the DefaultPageSetting pages size to one I created programmatically with the correct dimensions (1100/850). Even though it is defined as a landscape report, I get either a report broken over 2 portrait pages, or a report squeezed into a smaller area on a single
portrait page.
I don’t know if there is a device setting that would “tell” the emf file that this is a landscape report, but it’s almost like that information is not being passed, despite of all the settings I have experimented with.
Does anybody have any suggestions? I have researched this online and tried every suggestion I have read. According to other posts, some others had been unable to get this to work also.
UPDATE: This problem is still unresolved. The report now prints in landscape mode, but the intended 10"X9" report is being compressed into an area 8.5" wide. This is an excerpt of the code I am using:

When stepping through the code in PrintListPage using debug, ev.PageSettings.Papersize shows a width and height of 1100 and 850, and ev.PageSettings.Landscape is set to True. However, the rectangle shows a size corresponding to 8.5 X 11. In

I have tried swapping ev.PageBounds.Width and ev.PageBounds.Height, and actually hard coding numeric values for width and height, and the rectangle still appears to be dimensioned as portrait. Does anybody see what I am doing wrong, and how to fix
this?

With active debug i got following information:
The first mail in the debug-log is with the source code as quoted in my first post, the second mail is when i cut out the part which generates and adds the attachement. I had to make the adresses anonymous, but the second mail contains a lot more adresses then the first, although they both use the same query with same parameters, etc.
Have i done something wrong with the attachements? Overwriting headers, syntax errors, anything? I'm out of ideas...
edit: Had to cut out the debug-log because it is too big. It just said that everything was working ok, but the first mail contains too few adresses and the second (without attachement) the correct number of adresses. I can mail the log, if you like.
