while i make a call, all goes smoothly. but the opponent may hear some noise sometimes.where to service this problem.my location is india.i asked to blackberry service center, they told that they cannot have support for this model.how to redolve my problem?

Also to add now to the microphone fault above and I now experiencing problems with the in-built video camera not working it is the same issues as above as in you have to move the laptop screen backwards & forwards to get to work..i.e. there is fault with the hardware connections matrix for the device.

This definitely sounds like a hardware issue with the webcam/mic in the notebook. I would recommend calling HP phone support at 1-800-474-6836 to have it repaired or replaced.

Sony ford audio system in the Focus zetec

Have just purchased a new ford focus and currently have a N76 handset whcih does eveything to link to the cars bluetooth system but the receiver of any call made cannot hear me? I know this handset is not listed as being compatible, but is there any tricks to get this working?

Have you tried using a different phone to eliminate a microphone fault in the car?

Microphone and speaker no longer working after update to 4.3.3

2 hours ago i have updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 4.3.3
It is a standard, never jailbreaked or whatever, iPhone 4, which was running 4.3.2
After the update suddenly i heard no sounds when pressing any buttons.
I checked the settings, but everything was still the same.
I then tried to call a friend, but when the connection was made i neither heard him nor did he hear me.
After that i tried :
1) changing the ringtone, to see if any sound would come fromt he speakers : nothing
2) running the dictafoon, but when pressing record i get : no micophone available. Connect a microphone to record memo's
3) connecting a headset to see if that would work : nothing
4) connecting a bluetooth headset : nothing
5) restoring files and trying all again : nothing
6) restoring all and trying again : nothing
7) starting iPhone in recovery mode, resetting all (like it was a new iPhone) and trying again : nothing
Anyone got any bright ideas left ?

If you have restored in iTunes on a computer and the problem remains then it's a hardware fault and it needs to be repaired. When you update the iOS version on an iOS device it checks the hardware components, this is when it'll detect un-diagnosed hardware faults and the components will stop working... even if they were working previously

Microphone too low on G780 in Windows 8

When I used Skype, I heard complains, nobody could hear me. So I checked my microphone settings and they were set... to minimum (microphone 0, performance 0 dB) so I set it to maximum (microphone 100, performance +40 dB) and... with very weak results. Tried to use Skype or windows internal voice recorder with the same result: extremely loud background noise and very weak voice in the back, not possible to decipher, muffled and on the edge of hearing. Sound on the laptop works fine so this is not a speakers issue.
Essentially built in microphone seems to work, however so weak that it is not usable at all. Did I miss something? Can I improve it? System shows that drivers are up to date and everything is installed.Or is it a technical fault and I should send it to technical support?

I've run into something similar - except it was a different machine and different operating system...

SB X-Fi XtremeGamer - Microphone doesn't work

Hi. Help me solve this stupid problem with microphone. I have been experimenting with all kind of settings in Creative Audio Console, but unfortunately no luck. However I noticed very strange bug, when activating microphone there is some strange annoying noise coming out of the speakers when playing music and it disappears after microphone mute. Ok, then I open MS Sound Recorder and what I see ? this peace of s*** reads signals from wave out instead of the microphone. There is some activity of microphone when enabling +20dB boost, but it is no good to use.
If there is some tricky setting please let me know.
The other thing is that drivers that came on CD with this card don?t even support it. That was quite disappointing. Updating from creative website to SBXF_PCDRV_LB_2_09_0007 solved that problem but something tells me that microphone doesn?t work because of driver fault. When will creative write drivers that at least work...

G I have owned an X-Fi Extreme gamer card for almost 5 years now. I have experienced this issue off and on, ever since I purchased it. The OS did not matter. Over the years, I have found different methods for fixing this. Unfortunately, none of them work every time. As I am not familiar with this card on more than a user level, I can only begin to guess what the cause is. Many times, a simple reboot is all that is needed. I have a labrador retriever who is insatiably curious about the taste of the various electronic devices that I own. Consequently, over the years, I have purchased, used, and replaced a wide variety of microphones and headsets. My sound card is connected to a?seven?year old set of Creative 5. speakers which might be my oldest and longest lasting piece of PC hardware.
Try removing the microphone plug from the input jack and disabling your sound card in the?windows?hardware manager. Reboot your computer and insert the?microphone plug back into input jack on the sound card. Then re-enable the sound card in the windows hardware manager.
Alternati'vely, you can try shutting your computer down, removing the?microphone plug, rebooting, and?then?inserting the?microphone?plug into the sound card input?jack after windows has completely rebooted.
If all else fails, you can try using the microphone with your on-board sound card while still using your x-fi for output to the speakers.

Microphone and speakers died

I broke my iPhone 4 screen about 6 weeks ago.. it's not terrible and the phone was completely fine otherwise so I just kept using it. About 2 weeks ago my microphone quit working completely and the external speakers now output at about 50% volume. It has made the phone pretty unusable as I can't make any calls. Nothing happened to my phone to cause this to happen and I'm pretty sure that it wasn't my fault in any way. It cracked from the top right corner of the phone so neither of those things would have taken too significant of a blow when I dropped it six weeks ago. If I go into the apple store and ask them to look at it will they not be able to help me because my screen is broken?

You could always try at the Apple store, the worst that can happen is they say no.
If you have never made backups (to itunes or icloud) that include the photos you want, then there's just no way to get them back (if Apple can't do it).
The "app" you mention that had information, was this an Apple app, like Calendars or Contacts? If you had the device logged to an icloud account, then all that data would be available for download on a new device. Otherwise that data is gone unless you had made a backup when the data was still on the phone.

Microphone not working. (Mac)

As of two days ago my microphone on Skype has not been working. I did everything that skype.com told me to do but it still won't work. I am starting to get annoyed because my microphone works on everything else but not here and the help they suggest doesn't fix anything. I need help! What do I do?!

Unbelievably bad support from Skype...
I have the same issue - it just stopped working one day. Microphone settings on the Mac are fine and work with everything else. Skype support dialled into my mac and could see for themselves.... it is 100% obviously an issue with Skype as the input microphone does not create any volume. They took no responsibility and simply raised an issue with their developers team (?) We pay for Skype and at this point in time CANNOT USE IT!! (Is that Legal?)

H7000 Bluetooth headset - No audio from microphone in Windows 8

Recently I bought a new HP H7000 Bluetooth headset. After I successfully paired it with my laptop (HP EliteBook 8470p, running Windows 8 and the Broadcom Bluetooth driver downloaded from Broadcom's site), I can hear audio from the headphones, but the microphone part doesn't seem to be functioning, it doesn't pick up a signal no matter how loud I speak.
When trying the same headset on the same laptop running Windows 7 SP1, the microphone is working perfectly.
In Windows 8, the Headset Microphone is Enabled in the Sound settings' Recording devices, and is set as Default Device. The Internal Microphone Array device (the laptop's built-in mic) is picking up audio no problem, so that part of Windows 8 is functioning properly. So there seems to be no issue with any of the settings, I went them through several times.
It's just the H7000 headset's mic under Windows 8, that is having the problem.
Anyone met this scenario, or even have a fix?

I managed to narrow it down to the Broadcom Bluetooth chipset driver in Windows 8.
Finally I ended up disabling it, and buying a USB Bluetooth micro-dongle with an Atheros chipset. With this, the headset works fine.
It is still ridiculous, to solve such a problem with additional investment, but this is not HP's fault it turned out.
I'll try to contact Broadcom's customer service, and keep an eye open for any Win8 driver updates on their support website.

If the iPhone works correctly on the other port, then the fault lies within the MBP. Bring it in for service.

T60 soundmax built in microphone records all the time, again! Vista

When using Audacity 1.2.6 and source set to "stereo mix", the soundmax drivers are again constantly mixing the microphone into the streaming audio, or other sound playback, such as VLC playing an .mp3 file.
When using Audacity 1.3.13 there is no "stereo mix" option to choose from, and again microphone is always recording when recording streaming media or other sound playback.
Using microsoft update this last week, for some reason microsoft has removed the 2009 update which corrected this problem. Microsoft update says the 2007 drivers are now the latest soundmax drivers for my computer, and has changed them back.
I can't roll back or forward to the 2009 update. I did not do any manual changes, all updates from microsoft are set to automatic.
Audacity only uses the system drivers, this is not their programs fault, this is a driver fault between vista and soundmax
please fix ASAP as my compute is now useless to me until its fixed!
BTW turning on stereo mix from Vista did not fix the probem, the microphone records even under selecting the input to CD. If I mute the microphone, then there is no sound input under any input setting.

uninstall the current audio drivers that you have. let windows install its generic drivers.
then test with audacity and see if you're able to use it as how it should be.
later on, visit http://support.lenovo.com and update your audio drivers accordingly

I have also tried to use an external one but still having problems with the other person not being able to hear me, is there a setting which I can adjust its been back to Toshiba and they said that there is no fault.

I have even tested Skype and it seems that everything works properly.
Furthermore I miss some important informations You write nothing about your operating system, notebook model, Skype version, headset, drivers, etc.
Maybe its still enough if you enable the microphone boost. Check the Windows sound settings (input devices). There you configure the microphone volume and enable microphone boost.

I have just purchased a Vado HD 3rd gen & was looking forward to using my Sony ECM DS70p Microphone,but after a couple of tests, the recording is extremely low & barley laudable.
The Microphone works fine on My Kodak Zi8.
Is there an internal setting I have to adjust, or is there a fault with the Vado

This is happening to me too, I don't know if this is an Adobe Flash Player 11.5's bug or it's just my computer. All my browsers, chrome, IE9, Fox, doesn't even load anime videos. I tried reinstalling 11.5 many times, it have no effect but I use IE9 64-bit to run the videos that couldn't run. I waited 25 min for a JW player to load an episode of anime and I'm sick of it.

Speaker phone microphone

I can hear the other party in speaker phone mode (iPhone 4) but they can't hear me. Is this a H/W failure or a software glitch?

A friend had the same issue in reverse... after replacing cracked glass and touch-screen digitizer, the microphone would only work with speakerphone enabled. During one of his repeated attempts to take it apart and troubleshoot it, another friend broke his Home button by man-handling it and damaging the little copper leaf contacts inside.
He tried wiping the data, restoring the firmware (2.2 or 2.2.1 IIRC), etc but it did not appear to be a software issue. He could not do a restore-mode or DFU-mode FW restore because his Home button wasn't working, but that should not have been needed. Anyway, he's not stupid, so he was testing before and after loading his data backup and nothing he could do would fix it.
Using a Bluetooth headset, he suffered with it for a month and a half until iPhone OS 3.0 came out, which MAGICALLY fixed it, meaning it somehow WAS a software issue after all and his phone was not getting fully restored. He is very angry that iTunes or whatever is at-fault would claim to be doing a real restore and was not.
That said, my phone still reboots when deleting pics from Windows XP even in iPhone OS 3.0, so it doesn't fix all my problems.

Lenovo Y50 Microphone Issue

I started using my Lenovo Y50 about a month ago and have been having an ongoing problem with external microphones/headsets.The issue is that when I plug in a headset, the sound defaults to the headset's speakers, but the default microphone remains the one in my laptop. I have not been using a USB or the S/PDIF plug; just the normal audio jack. So far I have tried three pairs of headphones: A TekNmotion Yapster Blaster headset, a pair of apple earbuds with the mic attached, and finally a Razer Kraken Pro headset. Based on that, I don't think it is the fault of the headsets.Additionally, my brother got the same exact laptop at the same time, and he is experiencing this issue as well.We figured out a temporary fix:Open the sound menu, go to the "Recording" tab. For us, there are three items present: "Line In" for the Razer pro headset, "Microphone," which I assume refers to the laptop's mic, and "Stereo Mix." By setting the default device to "Microphone," then unplugging and plugging the headset back in. It will now work, but only when the "Sound" window is open. As soon as the window closes it stops working. I have tried splitting the speakers and mic, plugging in just the mic by itself, but it will only work with a combined jack. I have limited knowledge of the S/PDIF input, but from my troubleshooting experience I found that it does not work with the split mic or speakers, or combined audio jack. to me that looks 100% and the program just got frozen on the exit part of it
if you can't type or use the pc, restarting it is the only option, it displays the please do not remove when the update progress is under 100% but as it has goto 100% it should have completed
