Microphone HELP

Hello, I am wanting to by a Microphone for my Canon GL2 but there is so much slelection and i cant find a microphone that will work wirelessly on my Canon GL2. My budget is $200 CAD and I want the microphone to be wireless and be able to work with my Canon GL2. If you have any ideas of what i should be please reply ASAP.
I was looking at the Rode M3 but it doesnt say much. I think it will work with my camera if ibuy a transmitter thing. But it looks like its out of my price range. If you know more or this please just reply with links of what i should buy to make the M3 work. If you dont know than focus on above.

Will using a microphone help my ICD-AX412 in this occasion?

So I understand that using a lavalier microphone helps improve the quality of the sound, mostly because you can attach it to your collar to better capture the voice. However, would it improve the quality of my voice recording if both the recorder and the microphone are together in an enclosed space?
I ask this because I need to record while having my recorder in my backpack, for reasons. It works decently enough but I am wondering if a microphone in there would improve the quality or not.

Just take note of these general guidelines in order to get audio quality recordings from the IC Recorder:
Verify that nothing is rubbing up against the microphone when recording.
Verify that the unit is not placed near an AC power source, fluorescent lamp or a cellular telephone when recording.
Ensure fresh batteries are installed.
Use a can of compressed air to blow into the built-in microphone to remove any built up dust or dirt.
If an external microphone is being used, verify that the microphone is clean by wiping it with a dry, lint free cloth.
Reset the unit by removing the batteries for at least 1 minute.

USB Microphone help

I have a Blue Snowball Mic that I can't get to work with Logic Express (and I want to think it worked before). It works wonderfully in Garageband. I plug it in and then go to Audio Preferences, and the mic doesn't show up. The only devices that show up are Built-In Microphone and Built-in input. Please help as I don't get a good sound out of the built-in mic.

I bought a Samson R10S microphone to use in garageband on my imac, and i can't seem to get it to record through the microphone, help?

Need help recording on Garageband with a mic I bought.

How are you connecting the mic to your iMac?
Is it a USB microphone or does it need an audio port? The newer iMacs don't have a line-in port, so you'll need an audio interface to turn a USB port into an audio port, eg., the iMic as the most simple solution:

Fatality Headset HS 1000 Microphone help

I just bought a new fatality headset. I am trying to figure out how to use the microphone. Is there a way to make the microphone work? Is there a way to troubleshoot this problem? Please reply to this. I have windows xp if that helps.

If you had tried all the steps and your headset is still not working then I suggest returning the headset to the store where you purchased it and asked for replacement if your are still within the store's return period or you can contact support for further assistance.

IPad 2 Microphone HELP!

Okay so I got my iPad 2 Today (black, 16gb, wifi) and am amazed by it. However, when I recorded a video, there was no sound. I recorded again, this time SHOUTING into the mic hole at the top, then turned the volume to full. When I replayed the Video, I could *Barely* hear myself. I downloaded a sound recording app, wuth the same results. I rebooted. No Sound. I Restored to the original. Made a vdeo, NO SOUND AGAIN. PLEASE HELP! I have iOS 4.3.3

I got mine yesterday and haven't tried recording a video, so I'm just guessing!
Do you have a Skype account? Skype has a test server that lets you test your audio. The iPhone version works on iPad, and is a free download from the iTunes store. My voice returned at a reasonable volume when I tried it using the factory volume setting.
Have you tried playing music to see if the speaker is working? If the speaker doesn't work, you might plug in earphones and try that.
When you rebooted, did you hold the home and sleep buttons until the Apple logo appeared? I can't think of anything else to try if that didn't help.
Whether your problem is speaker or microphone, it sounds like you may have a defective iPad.

IPod mini microphone help

Does anyone know if the mini can support a microphone? I contacted Belkin and received a reply saying they no longer make the mic, but the model of it was Belkin F8E478. Anyone know if it will work? I was able to find them for sale for about $20.

Microphone Help with Audigy4

I have the Sound Blaster Audigy4 7. and need to set up a mic with in order to use Team Speak. I have it plugged into the mic jack and have muted the mic in the settings but still cannot get the mic to work when using Team Speak. Can anyone help? This is driving me nuts, I have a 9 year old pc and my mic and Team Speak work just fine on it.

Here is why I said I had the mic "muted", this is a forum discussion from the Team Speak website;
"As I said, your settings regarding your soundcard and the recording are not correct. Most probably it is not really the local test that you are hearing but rather the direct input of your microphone. While your recording settings are set wrong, your soundcard is set to directly playback everything which is "spoken" into the microphone. Make sure that you have set your microphone to "mute" in the playback options and set as source in the "recording" options."

Also, I checked the recording device and I do have the microphone as the recording device.

You need to post your system details and the creative sound card you bought to the forum and someone will tell you what scoket to plug it in and how to use audio console (blue one) to get microphone to work, default is mircophone off. krishan

MICROPHONE HELP! plea

Hello,.... I dont even know what to ask or?type in so..... here it goes
I have a Creative SB X-Fi sound card(Creative X-Fi Audio Processor (WDM).. whatever that means. My headset is a Zalman Theatre 6m plus a microphone, 6 speaker headphone.. anyways... The microphone is in the optical jack. It works on my laptop just fine.
I am running Vista 64bit. I do have onboard sound.. um crap i dunno... give me some questions so i can answer please. I need help! heh

Try a second App to be sure the problem is with the microphone. One way is to download the free Skype App. You can connect to the Skype test server, speak a test message and Skype will play it back.
If you can show the iPad to an Apple Store Genius, you may get a replacement iPad if the Genius can not fix it.
If there is no Apple Store near you, look for an Apple Authorized Repair Center. There may be one in your city. <Apple Authorized Repair Centers>

USb Microphone Help - clicking so

About two months ago I purchased a USB Logitech desktop microphone (as seen here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E683660). It worked fine up to two days ago... Now, everything it records gets overlayed with a persistent clicking sound.
I saw another user post a similar problem, but for a non-USB microphone, hence my separate post as USB takes the sound card out of the equation. Just for kicks though, I'm using a SB X-Fi. I have tried muting the input options on that, but don't see how that could conflict as the USB microphone installs itself as AK#### and that is what is selected as the recording device.
Anyone have any idea?

If your iPod headphones aren't working, try connecting them to your computer's audio output or another audio device that has a 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack. If the issue persists, use the form below to order replacement iPod headphones.

Microphone help with Presario F700?

Hi there everyone, I have a Presario F700 notebook that uses Vista. I recently learned that it comes with a microphone in it but despite my best efforts I can't seem to get it to work. The computer is telling me the microphone is active and enabled yet it doesn't seem to pick up any sound.

I am also an amateur but I had a similar problem with my HP. I bought a set of headphones and that worked for me- try to borrow some and test your computer.

Array Microphone Help?

Can anyone give advice on how to verify the array microphone is working. Mine appears to be muted or hardly picking up sound. Any suggestions or advice woud sure be appreciated.

- open sound by clicking the start button , and then clicking control panel. in the search box, type sound, and then click sound.
- click the recording tab, click microphone, and then click properties.
- click the levels tab and and select an option bigger than 80.

Microphone help needed

I have a relatively cheap AKG D 60 S microphone. I'm using it with a MicPlug which lets me plug it into a usb port. It works, but I'm getting a low input signal. Can I get a better signal or have I wasted more money.

Mics plugging straight into your mic will normally need some kind of pre-amp. If this device you purchased has no way to boost your mic signal strength then there's probably not much you can do. If it's not for professional use try your built in mic if you have one and apply the noise gate. The results are pretty good!
