Microphone on htc butterflyS not working

When calling or receiving calls, the other party can't hear me. I can hear them perfectly. Is there a fix for this?

I've updated my os to 7.02 and ever since, my microphone has completely stopped working. It doesn't work when I am recording a video using the camera app, doesn't work on Skype or magic jack or any app that uses the microphone. Before you tell me to go Settings>Privacy>Microphone etc.,, been there, done that. Besides, i resetting it but it doesn't work . Has anyone else noticed this? Can someone help me to fix this please? Thank you!

but resolution does not work for me.
I have created a mimemappings.properties file in BEA directory BEA\user_projects\domains\myDomain\config\mimemappings.properties with following content:
    htm=text/html
    gif=image/gif
    jpg=image/jpeg

Stop / Start of server, Redeploy of War, this does not work.
    Any idea ?

    Thanks Ben!
That helped. I also was using that
from the examples, and it did not play well in the HTMLPanel.
I appreciate the quick assistance, as I am pretty new to Spry. I have been creating version 2 of my website code, and one of the conversions has beenfrom JQuery to Spry for almost everything. Spry is a lot easier to conceptualize, except I completely missed the setting you gave me.
One of my problems is lack of knowledge on how to see what is happening, or not ahppening with javascript on a page.  I have firebug, and that seems to give me some info.  But when I tried to look at stuff with scripts running on the HTMLPanel, I was unable to see anything.
    Thanks again,

  • Bluebird Microphone and Audiobox USB not working

I just got a MacBook Air for my music and already have a Bluebird microphone and a PreSonus Audiobox USB. These used to work together on my old laptop (not apple) and worked great, but when I got this laptop, the external microphone does not show up in System Preferences->Sound. It's just not showing up. I have tried everything, plugging everything in in different orders, using the other USB port, turning the phantom power on on my Audiobox, but absolutely nothing works. This was an expensive mic and Audiobox so they should be appearing in System preferences, but they're not. How do I fix this so I can record my music again?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Amazon listing says that's compatible with Mac 9.2 and higher. If it doesn't work, send it back. Maybe somebody else here can confirm that they have one that works, or recommend something similar which is working.

  • Microphone of the headset not working properly

Hi, Looks like another issue in the BB passport. The Headset provided with the phone doesn't seem to work properly. I can hear music etc however when i speak the listener is not able to recieve my voice clearly or not at all. Any suggestions ? Microphone looks to be buggy. I have used the BBVE, cleaned the socket etc etc but doesn't seem to work. On BBVE i can replicate the issue.

Probably the headset microphone is defecive. The only way to know is to try a known working one on the phone. There is also a possiblity the headset jack or sound input circuit in the phone is at fault, but this is an uncommon type of fault. Over 95% of the time the problem is with the headset. This is not unusual with these cheaply made headsets.
I myself prefer using a Bluetooth headset. There are no wires or plugs to be concerned with. I charge mine every night along with the phone. Most of the time I use my Bluetooth headset because I don't like holding the phone to my ear. With the Bluetooth system I can put the phone down on my desk, and the wireless headset will work for a bit farther than 30 feet from the phone.

  • Solution For Microphone - Low Volume or Not Working

I just read pages of forum discussions trying to fix extremely poor microphone volume on my Macbook Air. I tried to change all kinds of microphone settings, doing hardware resets, and uninstalling software. I even made an appointment to the Genius Bar because some people posted that they had to replace their microphones.
However, I finally found a simple solution. It turns out that after some time, dust gets inside of your microphone and blocks the holes through which it captures the sound. You need to take a tiny needle or a wire and poke each tiny hole of the microphone located on the left side of the macbook. After taking out some dust, my microphone began working as new.
Hope this helps to someone in the future.

    Thanks a million! PlotinusVeritas!
A needle was to big as the holes are so tiny.
I took an old toothbrush and used one of its hair. They're made to be thin and quite tough.
This made the trick and my Macbook Air's microphone works like charm now

  • Internal Webcam and Microphone not working after Screen Fix

I own a HP Envy Spectre XT Ultrabook, and last week I tried to use the webcam and the microphone for the first time in a few months.
However I was shocked to find that Skype kept saying that the webcam was not detected. The microphone also could not register any sound.
Device Manager did not show any imaging devices or the webcamera, even after setting it to view non-present devices.
A check using msinfo32 did not review the webcamera either, and there were no problem devices.
Control Panel >> Sound showed that the Internal Microphone using IDT High Definition Audio Codec was enabled and working, however it could not detect any sound. All drivers are checked to be up-to-date.
I suspect this has something to do with the screen repair last month which a HP on-site technician came down to replace my screen, although I cannot be 100% sure. Although the screen is now working, the technician did not do a good job reassembling the screen - the bottom left corner of the screen cover has not be able to attach properly to the screen.
I have gone through my BIOS setup to make sure that there is no webcam disabled.
I have tried rolling-back and reinstalling the drivers for the microphone but it did not work.
I have tried uninstalling CyberLink YouCam (laptop preinstalled webcam software).
Please help, these two components are very important to me as I am going overseas soon. The laptop is still under warranty.

    Hey ajun,
Thank you very much for the information!
For troubleshooting your Webcam, I would suggest taking a look at the document Webcam Troubleshooting (Windows 7). I would suggest the two options Video does not appear in your webcam software (such as YouCam, Skype, Messenger, ect.), and Webcam is not listed in Device Manager.
For your internal microphone not working either, please take a look at the document Resolving Microphone and Line-in Problems (Windows 7). From this document, I would suggest following the top two symptoms.
Please let me know the outcome of these troubleshooting steps.
Good luck, and have a great day!

  • Intergrated microphone array not working

I have an Hp elitebook. I went through are various directions to edit the properties concerning my microphone, but it will not work. I use headphones, which are in the correct jack. I enabled the device, went to my system bios and disabled and re-enabled it. Nothing is working, please help

    Hello @Rilsere
To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since the EliteBook is a commercial product. You can do this here Notebook - HP ProBook, EliteBook, Compaq, Slate/Tablet PC, Armada, LTE
When you put your post in that forum be sure to include the full product number and operating system for your notebook to save time.
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?
    I hope this helps!

  • Satellite C650-197 Built In Microphone and Jacks not working

As the title, I tried to use the my microphone that comes inbuilt on this model (integrated VGA Web Camera with built-in microphone) and found its not working. Tried to plug in an external microphone via the mic jack and still not recording.
I cant seem to find the drivers for the inbuilt or the jack anywhere.
    Any ideas?

    Hi
    > I cant seem to find the drivers for the inbuilt or the jack anywhere.
Such drivers dont exist. The sound card driver controls everything.
I think you should firstly start the webcam software and should test the mic because the internal mic is a part of the webcam.
The webcam software provides an tab; settings and properties. In one of these tabs you would find settings for audio.
There you could increase the mic volume and could record small audio session.
Additionally I recommend checking the settings in control panel -> sound.
Be sure that mic volume is set to max. Don't forget to check hidden and disabled devices there...

  • Microphone and Webcam not working/Webcam not recognized by YouCam

    Hello,
I have a dv7-6c95dx and my YouCam  program tells me that it does not recognize my integrated webcam. I have read all of the webcam forums on this site and clicked on all of the links people have posted in the forums. I have uninstalled the CyberLink YouCam program and it still comes up with the same messages. The webcam also does not show up in my device manager. The microphone is malfunction as well, it will not work any any programs including skype.
I have heard that the webcam can come unplugged internally, will that also cause the microphone to stop working? I have run out of options and I do not want to pay anyone to fix it. I would appreciate any advice on this subject.

    Hi DillOrNoDill,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP Pavilion dv7-6c95dx Notebook and sound and microphone issues and Webcam not working correctly. I would be happy to assist if needed. Try these steps first.
    1. Right click speaker icon (right hand corner)
    2. Select Playback devices
    3. Right click Speakers
    4. Enable it and set as Default
    5. Click Apply/Ok
You could also try Microsoft troubleshooter located on your Notebook.
Here is a document on WebCam troubleshooting. The Webcam will be listed in your device manager under Imaging devices. You should be able to click the action button and scan for new hardware.
    Hope this helps.

  • After downloading iOs 7 to my iPad 2 Skype application mic and video is not working? any advice?

I downloaded iOs 7 to my iPad 2 and updated Skype app.  After this,m microphone and video are not working.  My called party is not able hear me nor see me. Any guidance from the Community?
    g.k.fromind

After updating IOS many people have the same problem that the mic no longer works and Apple say it is a hardware problem. Rubbish! Plug in an apple earphone and then try it. (Apple earphones have 4 sections on the jack plug, must be this type.) Mic works fine so obviously it is a problem in the new IOS and this is a way around it!
    Hope this helps other people,
    Chris.
