Microphone taking output as in

I have already comleted all of the thing in the FAQ above. My problem is that whenever I use my microphone, if I have output at all, the mic takes it in as input. I believe that it is doing this internally, as well. I believe this because it happens even if I have headphones on, or if I have the speakers turned all the way down (IE: there is no ambient sound in the air).
I have tested this using various output methods, such as using winamp, mediaplayer, etc. and they all produce the effect, so I'm thinking that it has something to do with the card.
I have also used various microphones and both microphone ports on my computer.

In the Surround Mixer, make sure the red slider (for Recording), is set to Microphone. If this is set to What U Hear, then it will record all sound that is played back, and not just the microphone.

Microphone plays output audio

I am running on Windows Vista Home Premieum 64bit with a Sound Blaster Audigy SE. I have been running the card fine for about a year, until I had switched over to a new ventrilo server the problem had occured.
The problem I am having is when using my microphone in ventrilo, my microphone is some how picking up any output audio that my headset is receiving, thus stereo mixing any audio that is coming from my computer weather it is music or games, back into my microphone when using it in ventrilo.
I dont understand how my microphone is some how stereo mixing any output audio, but I know for a fact this shouldnt be happening. I use ventrilo everyday, because its a crucial part to my gaming, yet I have had to stop because I can not find out what is causing my microphone to pick and transmit any output audio.
Now I am sure some may think its a virus, or driver issue, but I can assure you it is not. I have reformatted my computer 2 times and the problem still occurs, I have updated my sound blaster audigy SE to its current driver which is .4.77 and it is still occuring. I have no idea what is going on, but I am begining to believe their is somthing within my windows registry that is enabling my microphone to pick up all output audio and stereo mix it when using my microphone in ventrilo. This problem even occurs when I had switched to my onboard sound, something within windows registry is stereo mixing my microphone (input device)
I use a headset mic and have also muted my mic in the speakers tab. If anyone out there could help me find a solution to how/why my microphone is picking up output audio and stereo mixing it, I would be greatly thankful. Hopefully someone with the knowledge of knowing how to edit also window sound registry's would be a great thing as well, because I strongly believe that their is a line of code within the Vista registry that is not allowing my mic to be either muted when picking up any output audio or thier is some audio registry that is using my microphone to stereo mix when in use.

This is a known problem with Ventrilo + Vista + Creative SC (mostly reported for the X-Fis). Do a search in the forums and you'll find lots of thread on it. Or you can follow Jmacguire's advice on muting the mic as a temporary solution.

Labview Graph Palette Taking Outputs

Hi,
is there any way to take the output of Labview Graph Palette i.e. when I zoom in can i access the minimum and maximum values of the zoomed in scales.
What I am trying to do is scanning a square and displaying data on an intensity graph. SoI wanted to add a feature which enables me to zoom in on the graph then take the values of the new scales and scan the zoomed in area again in the instrument.
So, is this possible?

In LV8.5 (not sure about 8.2) you get "scale change" events, so with an
event structure you get new ranges every time they change.
In <LV8.5 the only option is to poll the range properties of the graph.

Microphone output sound delay

Hello,
I'm a musician. Often, I plug my headphones into my laptop and listen to music. Then I plug my guitar in the microphone jack and enable the microphone sound output so I can play along with the music on my laptop. In other words, I use the laptop as a mixer.
Now with Windows 7 RC x64, the mic in output has quite some delay, between 0.5 and 1 second. The laptop is an HP 2510p with ADI SoundMax HD integrated audio.
With Windows XP, this has not been an issue.
The driver is the one that Win7 automatically got via Windows Update. I also tried the Vista x64 driver provided by HP, no difference.
As you can imagine, such a delay makes playing along songs impossible. When I strike the guitar, half a second later I hear it from the speakers.
Is there any suggestion what I could try? Change settings, regkeys, drivers?

I am using a recording software by the name of Reaper (I'm thinking other softwares may work too, I haven't tried Audacity but that's the most my friends use). I went to Options> Preferences > Audio > Devices > and Selected "ASIO" for my driver.
The default option selected was "WaveOut" which gave me a HUGE DELAY.
It gave me no ASIO drivers are found! But a quick search online will tell you you can download ASIO4all. Restart Reaper and go back to Devices menu to select ASIO.
If you are still having problems after selecting ASIO, I highly recommend this forum:

There was a huge difference between "WaveOut" and "ASIO" and I can record now.

ALSA / pulse redirects output to input on microphone mute

Hi guys,
I got a problem with my sound setup.
For some reason, when I mute my microphone hardware-sided (my headset has an automute when I raise the microphone) my output gets redirected to my input, i.e. people on Teamspeak etc. can hear what i hear.
For some reason I am also missing the front microphone column in alsamixer, i only get a front microphone boost.
If I disable "capture" in alsamixer in the playback area, it also disables it in the capture area - I am not sure what to do
Please let me know what kind of info you need to troubleshoot

HP ENVY 17 microphone and sound output problems

Hey i have a HP ENVY 17, and i have been having some problems with the microphone, sound outputs and the sound in general. The microphone output haven't been working ever since i got the notebook in November. at first i thought it was problems with the settings, either on the computer or on Skype, which i used for communication. I tried with other Voice Chat programs such as Mumble, Ventrilo and TeamSpeak - neither worked. I got a friend over who knows a little bit about computers, and the only thing he could think of was that the microphone output was non working. I am using Steelseries 7H headset. Now i have to use the integrated microphone which often gives background or typing noise.
Lately i am only hearing sound on the right ear, i have checked my headphones with an iPod, so i know there is nothing wrong with them.
The third problem occurs when i turn the volume over 20% on the computer. It starts to make a background noise, almost like a waterfall, both with headset and without.
Another little problem i have is nothing to do with sound, but since I'm posting this already, i thought i could atleast ask. When i play games the top left side of the computer, right over the fan can get hot while the fan is working on hardmode. If i play really graphic-focused games, like Crysis 2, it gets super hot(i burn my hand if i hold it over the fan). Is this just because it's a laptop and the games demands too much? Or is it dust in the fan or something? And what can i do about it? That last question counts for all the problems

Need info on Billing Outputs

I need info abt billing Outputs - The language is maintained in Bill to party (Customer master), Its maintained in Condition record, It can be changed while creating the invoice.
Now my question is, which of the above three cases has got highest priority.
Could some one provide me some info on this?

By default, we will maintain language in Bill-to-Party & also Condition record. But if required, it can be chaged at Invoicing level while taking output. Priority will be Bill-to-party, followed by Condition Record.

Output error - partially picked status in delivery

Hi All,
im getting an error while taking output for the delivery.Scenario is like, i have created STO with about 600 line items(10 interval). created outbound delivery for the same. Two deliveries have been created one with 500 line items and other with 100 line items respectively. in the first delivery i have picked all the quantity(manually w/0 WM) and did the PGI. system shows the status as partially picked and when i tried to take the out put, it is giving error " No data exists for the delivery" and in the long text " Place holder for the batch input error text, this message is not output"
for the second delivery again i picked and did PGI, status shows fully picked and out put is getting generated.
im using std LD00 output type
In the output procedure i assigned the requirement '1' which is delvry GI posted which says system checks the goods movt status and if the status is fully picked and PGI is done output will be generated.
so i have created a new routine where in i gave goods movt status to accept partially picked or fully picked and PGI is done to give out put. even then it is not working.
i want the output for the partially picked deliveries too.
pls help in this issue as this is happening in production client.

Welcome to SDN forum
As you are using LD00 output type only , and for this output type as you have assigned requirement 1 , because of this only output is not coming . So firstly check wheather output is coming correctly or not by removing the requirement 1 .
Secondly , also check wheather any Smartforms are assigned to LD00 output type or not. If any Smartform is assigned then go to smartform and then check wheather any sub-routine has been written or not
Finally also check the access sequcne and the condition record you have maintained

Using the MXL USB.006 microphone with logic express 7.2.3

When I have the USB audio codec selected in logic express 7.2.3 (macbook pro, intel dual core) I cant get any sound from my speakers on the laptop, or the headphones I use with the laptop headphone jack. I can record vocals but can't hear playback. If I switch to the built-in audio driver for the macbook pro, I can hear the vocal I recorded on the MXL, but with the built-in driver selected, I can't record with the mic.
Is there a solution for this?

I think if you look up Aggregate device in help it's what you need. You create one in Audio MIDI set up which allows for input via the USB microphone, and output through built in audio. Then Select it in Mac Sound Preferences.

Microphone problems with Audigy 2 ZS/win 7 x64

Hello.
I have very common problem with my soundcard audigy 2 ZS on windows 7 x64 with 8gb RAM. A week ago installed win 7 (was xp before) and noticed that my mic is not working. When I turn on microphone in output device i hear crystal clear sound from headphones, as input device it is not working properly. After reboot it don't work, no reaction on any changes. Usually after 5-20 mins I can hear signal from it (even when I'm not doing anything). Still sound quality is terrible, lots of noises and bugs. So I can't use it. After reboot mic not working again.
My microphone is fine, soundcard also worked on XP without problems (almost all A2ZS users have same problem). The latest drivers was installed on clean, fully updated Win 7 Ultimate. Tried danielK pack. Still no results, this is about 2 years old problem with drivers and I want to know any realistic way to solve it. All post on forum are outdated, or don't have any useful info.

Microphone jack and Dragon Dictate

Hello,
I occasionally use Dragon Dictate and yesterday I turned it on and it can't find the microphone.
When the mike is pluggrd into the USB adapter there is indication it is working but no indication that it works when plugged into the Audio line-in port.
Either way the dictation software no longer finds the mike.

Creation of DME medium FZ205 There is no source data found

We are executing payment runs using F110 and then creating data medium - a file to send to the bank.
In the variant for the program I am putting C:\ however when I have several users executing payment runs at the same time, the data medium is not creating and I am getting the error message that the source data cannot be found
Can anyone help me with this issue - should I leave the file name as blank?

In order to avoid FZ205 please review your selection parameters and F1 help for the print program when creating the file:
1. If you are taking the Output to file system:
If required, the file can be written to the file system. The created file can be copied to a PC using data medium exchange management. You should be looking for downloaded files here, since the data carrier is not managed within the SAP system, but is already stored in the file system by the payment medium program. The file name should be defined by the user. You should make sure that existing files with the same name have already been processed, because they will be overwritten.
Note:If a file cannot be found using the data medium exchange management the reason could be that the directory that was written to at the start of the payment medium program (in background processing, for example) cannot be read online.
You should then select a directory which can be recorded and read by several different computers. Due to the problems described above and the resulting lack of data security, we advise against writing to the file system. This method is only beneficial if the data carrier file is taken from the file system by an external program, to be transferred to the bank.
2. If you are taking Output into TemSe:
If required, the file created can be stored within the SAP System(store in the TemSe and not in the file system),thus protecting it from unauthorized external access. You can download the file into the user's file system via the DME manager. The name of the file to be created during the download can be determined when running the payment medium program: the contents of the
file name parameter are stored in the management data and defaulted when running the download.
Please check the corresponding files in the DME administration for all files and check if the output medium 'File-System' has been
chosen, that means output medium '0'. In order to use the TemSe you have to use the output medium '1'. Furthermore see if the PC-file- paths, like c:\filename.DAT, instead of application file names. The FDTA has difficulties to find these files, especially by using 2 application servers.
To avoid problems with the files SAP recommends you to use the TemSe with output medium '1', or the file system with output
medium '0'. TemSe is always a better option.

Can't create a movie file (wmv)

Whe I try to create a wmv file the process freezes and eventually gives an error message saying the file cannot be created. Then it closes the program.

As a first step, you can try running Organizer directly from its exe in c:\program files or program files x86\adobe\elements organizer Ver\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe by right clicking it >> run as Admin. Now try taking slideshow output. Keep all background processes turned off from Edit >> Pref >> Media Analysis, while taking output.

Report in PDF Format is Very Small , Why?

I run the report in browser , it is ok, but when taking output in PDF display is also ok , but when prints the report, it prints 3/4 size of actual report, means very small.
How to over come this problem.

Is your reports executed on UNIX or on Windows ?
If it is executed on UNIX, do you generate a PCL output or a Postscript output ?
There is a known probem with PCL with the decimal separator used in the output.
In this case, the variable LANG can be used to fix this problem.
Example ::
LANG=en_US ; export LANG

Audio Line-In Port Not Working

I plugged a Shure mic into the Audio-In Port and is doesn't work. I'm using FCP Voice-Over but I get no audio on Soundtrack either. Worked with all the settings and preferences for audio. Also tested a second mic which also doesn't work. I read some people had problems with Audio-In Port after upgrading to 10.4.10. I ran a check for audio updates, there are none that I haven't installed. Why can't I seem to make a simple mic work when it's been so simple previously?

Your Mac does not have a microphone input, only a line-level input (in fact, no Mac has included a microphone input in quite a while). So you'll need 1) a self-powered microphone that outputs line level, 2) a USB microphone, or 3) an external audio device that supports microphone inputs, either a mixer that will give you line-level output or a USB audio input device. One possibility for a USB device that works for many people and that is relatively inexpensive (ca $40.00 US) is the Griffin iMic. It works with any standard personal computer microphone.
