Microphoto doesn't have license to play songs today-played them yesterd
I have a Zen Microphoto 8 gig-just bought it two weeks ago-today it says it doesn't have license to play songs I purchased from Walmart downloads. It played all the songs yesterday and still plays most of the songs downloaded at the same time. It just picked out a few to lose the license on. Help please!
Sync a select playlist.
iOS: Syncing with iTunes - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1386 - You can sync everything or selected playlists. "WIth iTunes 10, when automatically syncing, you can also manually drag items to the iDevice. These will show up in Manually Added Songs at the bottom of the Music tab after Playlists, Artists Genre, Albums." - https://discussions.apple.com/message/18919754

Does anyone know how to recover songs that itunes has "lost"?
I downloaded them, synced my ipod, songs were added and I was able to play them.
On a recent sync the songs are suddenly "not found" according to itunes. I can't locate them in the itunes folder, so I have no idea where itune put them. BTW-this is not the first time itunes stored songs in a random directory...... Since itune can't find them, they were deleted from my ipodLook, I understand I still need a card attached to the account. The problem is, it won't accept my card because I only have 87 cents in my bank account right now.
If I had known there would be so much trouble with the iTunes card, I would have just put the cash in my bank account in the morning instead of buying an iTunes card (I didn't expect the banks to be open on Thanksgiving of course).
Apple will only accept cards that have a balance. The balance is so small in my account that it won't accept it as a valid card.
I'm going to have to contact Apple anyway to reset the security questions. That's obvious. Your answers were not exactly helpful. You didn't tell me anything I don't already know, but thanks for trying to be helpful. -
I am not able to play youtube videos. No picture no sound
I should have explained further. The game opens in a new window over to the upper left of my screen, leaving the original page underneath. I tried minimizing it so that I could get to my toolbar and did the View > Zoom > Reset. This has no effect. The lower portion of the game is still not showing. Using other browsers the window or frame of the game is much larger, therefore everything shows.

I wanted to listen to some new music i added to my itouch, but when i looked, it said no content in the music section. So i connected to the computer and opened itunes. My device showed up and everything, my playlists and songs where still there, but my itouch still showed No Content. Then i tried to sync it, and there's always an error popping up, so now i have no idea what to do! I have too many songs to start over again! And the iTunes i am using now was not my original one because my old computer broke so i got a new computer and new iTunes, so this iTunes doesn't have all of my songs. i'm sick and tired of being afraid to update my itouch because it says it won't save my songs so when it updates my songs could be deleted. Could someone please help or tell me how to contact the Apple people?
iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

My iPad doesn`t have cameras.I bought it today. What`s wrong?
If it doesn't have cameras, one on the front and one on the back as shown on this page http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/, then you've bought the older first gen iPad, not the iPad 2

Why do I have to re-buy songs that i have as Ringtones?
I don't understand why we have to re-buy songs to make them into RIngtones. This seems really lame and feels like i am being ripped-off. If i already own a song (purchased from iTunes), shouldn't i be able to use that as a ringtone if i like.
What's up with this?
Is there any way around that?If you already own a song and it is able to become a ringtone you pay .99 to make it into one. Most ringtones purchased through cingular or at&t cost 2.99 (sometimes more) so this isn't such a bad deal. You can choose which part of the song you want as the ringtone (unfortunantly the gain is wrong on all itunes ringtones) and I wish I could make songs which I own on CD (and are unavailable from itunes) into ringers as well like I could on my old sony phone (Irish Catholic Boy by Seanchai) which isn't even on a label.. and defiently wouldn't care if I used his song as a ringer

My brothers creative zen micro always says donot have a license to play this tr
I use Rhapsody to go for the music.. and all the time it just freezes, then rebuilds the library, then everysong that i have on there says i dont have a license to play the track.. is this a rhapsody problem.. or my zen micro has a problem ?
sorry, just to back from vacation
i got a few songs from Music Match, and most from Napster, I don't have the "to go" deal with either of them... I just pay as i go, 99 cents per song, so I'm kinda irked cuz I've paid pretty much 0 bucks for these songs n they won't play. I hardly use Music Match anymore and haven't gotten any notices from Napster to update my license... -
My iphone 4s will no longer sync music from my music library on my Macbook Pro. I also have a bunch of songs that now have a red circle with a box in it next to the song on my phone and those songs will not play. They are present in my itunes library and I can play them on my Mac but they will not play on my iphone. I have tried unchecking all the music and applying those changes and syncing and it does nothing. All the same music remains on my phone, unchanged. Help! What do I do? I have read to uninstall iTunes and reinstall it but will I lose all my music?
Hello Courtney,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing when syncing your music to your iPhone. It sounds like iTunes is not able to locate the original file for the song to transfer it to your device. I recommend reviewing the following articles to locate you music files on your computer:

I have the iPhone 5 and have with 6.0.1 software version. Although I had them when I moved from iPhone 4 to the 5 (could play them), the latest update has most of my songs on the phone listed in grey (over 95% of them) and I can't play them. They are still listed in the iTunes library. When I look in the Summary for the iPhone, it shows Audio as only .16 GB - I have over 5 GB of songs, so what gives?
P.S. When I look at my Playlists most of the songs are greyed out. However, at the bottom of the list there is a cloud icon with a downward facing arrow. When I click on it each song starts to "load" and after a few minutes I have the songs back on in the list. I have to do this to all my playlists (I had over 100) in order to get access to all my songs. Then I did a sync and it happened again!
I use iCloud for documents and some other things (calendar, contact, etc.) but am not aware that I have anything music-wise in the cloud. Any thougnts? You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Why cant I create a playlist for my music/song videos? Continuous play is also not possible in the video app on the phone!!!! previously, prior to IOS 6, it was possible to have both music videos & songs mixed in the same playlist in the music app
I am back with an update. I turned off Match on both the ipad and the iphone 5. By doing so I was able to sync my Iphone and ipad to itunes and store the music on my devices rather than the slow streaming. So far this has fixed my problems with the iphone I have all my music, playlist, most of the album art and so on. But the ipad is a different story. I have the music and artist but not one playlist I am sure Apple will have an upgrade soon that will address these issues they are usually very good about this.
Now have any of you experienced another problem that has existed as long as I have used faces in Aperture.
I have over 200 faces and they are organized a-z problem is I have this going on A-Z folowed by a few that start over A-Z followed by another few A-Z and again a 4th time A-Z. Imagine how difficult it is while I am showing someone the great features of my iphone, ipad and imac. Which I do talk highly of all the time. But how do I explain that even though their name starts with a or b or what ever they are not important enough to me to be in the first list of A-Z or even the 2nd or 3rd list of A-Z someohow they are in the 4th section of the list!!!!
I have managed to get the Imac to fix this but for some reason the IOS devices do not. Any ideas?
Thanks Al -
I recently purchased songs from my iphone. All good... But I then went to put them on my ipod touch. They seemed to have downloaded but the songs wont play and the song title/the text, appears in a grey colour and there is a downlaod symbol in front of the song title. what do i do next?? They play on my iphone and from the itunes library but not from my ipod touch.
If the songs are still on your ipod, make sure autosync is disabled in iTunes on your computer, connect and right click on it in the device list, then choose "transfer purchases" to copy all bought media and apps from your ipod to your computer.
If the songs are not on your computer and got deleted from your ipod as well, you can't get them back, unless you have a backup of your iTunes library as part of your computer backup. -
How can I transfer the songs from a CD to iTunes if my computer doesn't have a CD drive?
I have iTunes installed in my personal computer and that's the only computer where I connect my ipod touch (5th generation) and where I have all my music. But the problem is that this personal computer doesn't have a CD drive. I was thinking about installing iTunes on another computer (that does have a CD drive) and transfering the songs from the CD here and then connect my ipod to transfer the album. But will my ipod synce in this new computer and make a security copy and delete all my previous songs (from my personal computer)? And also, will I be able to transfer the album from my ipod to the iTunes library in my personal computer? Or is there any other solution for this? Thank you.
Or is there any other solution for this?
Be careful, the method you describe will indeed delete the contents of your iPod.
Instead, after you rip your CD on the other computer, copy the resulting song files to a flash drive. Then copy them from the flash drive to your main computer, and add them to your iTunes library. -
I recently did the update for iTunes and after I did that I got the error message: MSVCR80.dll file not found. I followed the suggestions from someone in this community to fix it and now some of my songs aren't playing. And they are the ones that I purchased from iTunes not CDs that I have and ripped to my iTunes library. I can see the songs listed in my iTunes library as well as on my iPod but yet they won't play. On my computer I get the message that this computer is unauthorized to play them and to authorize it. I only have one computer, so I have no idea why I'm getting this message. And does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get all of the iTunes songs to play again?
Hello Angel82co,
It sounds like you have some songs in your library that are not playing, and when you try to play them you are being told the computer is not authorized to play them. I would start by verifying that your computer is still authorized, and take note of the Apple ID that you sign in with:
To authorize a computer, follow these steps:
Open iTunes.
Choose Store > Authorize This Computer from the menu bar.
You may need to show the menu bar to see this option in Windows. In earlier versions of iTunes, you can access this option from the Advanced menu.
Enter your Apple ID and click Authorize.
If your Apple ID uses an expired MobileMe account, you can still authorize your computer.
From: iTunes Store: Authorize or deauthorize your Mac or PC
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1420
If the issue persists, next I would use the following article to double check that these songs were purchased under the same Apple ID you used to authorize the computer:
Recovering a forgotten iTunes Store account name
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1920
Open iTunes
Highlight one of the items you have purchased (You can find your purchases in your Purchases playlist).
Choose File > Get Info.
Click the Summary tab.
The Account Name area will list the account used to purchase the item. Unless you have changed accounts, this is your iTunes Store account name.
If it is the same Apple ID then I would next delete the song, and re download it from your purchased history, with this article named:
iTunes 11 for Windows: Download previous purchases from the iTunes Store
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12491
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
All the best,

Is there any way that I can have songs in an iTunes Playlist without having the songs play in my regular music list. For instance: can I have a Playlist of Christmas songs without having them play in the routine shuffle of my music library? Thanks -Rog
Select the songs, press CTRL+I to Get Info, on the Options tab set Skip when shuffling to Yes.
If you want to the hide the songs from your main music view you could consider changing the media kind to audiobooks or podcasts if you don't mind the side effect of them showing up there instead.

I have more than 300 CDs that I have downloaded to my computer and have purchased hundreds of songs from the iTunes store on my Mac. I cannot play any of this music now. How can I restore my iTunes library? I can see the music files, but they will not play. The message I get is that the file cannot be found. I have stopped purchasing any music from iTunes, and will not do so in the future unless this can be resolved. Why buy music if in the future you can't play it? I have not connected my ipod to my computer for months because of concerns that my music will disappear from there too.
What you see in iTunes is not the music but a pointer to the file that contains the music. Somehow these pointers have become broken. You may have accidentally deleted the file, or moved a folder, or moved a file, or renamed a folder, or renamed a file, or... iTunes is very unforgiving of you doing things to the iTunes folder unless you have it set so iTunes does not manage your music for you (in which case you really need to know how iTunes works)
If all your links are broken, or a large number are, then there are various options, none of them easy (unless you're lucky). One is when it asks you if you want to find the file that you say yes and then guide it to the file (which will probably be in a folder by artist, and then a folder by album name). Gets old fast if you have 300 CDs. Another is to undo what may have caused the links to become broken, if you can remember what it was that you might have done such as renaming a folder. Another is to just forget about your old library, ratings, and playlists, etc. and start afresh. Trash the library file in your iTunes folder, start iTunes with a blank library, then drag all your files to the new library. Another is to restore itunes from a backup you may have made before this happened.
Do you keep just media on an external drive? If you start iTunes without the external being switched on then it thinks the links are bad. Quit iTunes and start the external before restarting iTunes. You may have to scroll down through the tracks to "tickle" them into re-reading the link.
How do you have itunes set in preferences to manage your music? Have you done any changes to preferences recently, or moving folders, files, etc? Do you keep iTunes on an internal drive, or external?
In the many years of people complaining about broken links I don't think any way has been developed to mend them automatically. I saw one attempt to use Spotlight, but it didn't really work.
None of us work for Apple so it's up to you if you won't buy from them until it is fixed. We will try to help you fix it, because we're nice.
