MicroSD support in E-7??

MicroSD support is not mentioned in E-7 specifications. Is E-7 really lacking microSD?

From what you can see it looks like it's lacking support for micro SD. And most likely it will not have it too.
It will have a 16 gb mass memory and 1 gb nand memory which should be plenty of space for most users. It will also have the USB OTG feature where you can connect most USB memory sticks to a cable and to the phone.
So for me, the phone will be absolutely perfect when it comes to storage. Plenty of enough space and OTG feature.

  • E65 and N95 microSD support

    Hello,
simple question. I have E65 FW ver. 2.0633.65.01 03-10-07. I have 2 Giga Sandisk SD card. I have some maps on the SD card but when I want to download whole Europe its bigger than card. What is the maximum SD support for E65 please? Is it possible to use with this new FW bigger SD card? I asked in Nokia Care point and there told me that max is 2 GB, so Im asking you about the true of support.
And one more question I want to buy my girlfriend N95 (not N95 8GB) and what is there the maximum SD card support?
    Thanks for answers

    Hi petrr
For your E65 largest size is a maximum of 2GB microSD unfortunately.
For N95 the largest size currently available is 8GB micro SDHC although technology supports larger sizes.

  • 6300 Max capacity for MicroSD?

I've queried everywhere, and there is no absolute substantial data - which I'm extemely dissapointed with.
So I'll ask here: What EXACTLY is the maximum capactity of the nokia 6300's microSD support? Is it 2gb or more?
(I've read 2gb, but then O2 told me any microSD card would work, and I highly doubt the amateur-like knowledge of their workers

max capacity is 2Gb. It states this on the Nokia website under the 6300 tech spec, under the "Memory functions" section.

  • Maps on the SD card for Lumia 820

I've just ordered an 820, and now I see that apparently it's not possible to install maps to the SD card - is this true? So when what's left of the 8Gb is full with maps of Europe and apps and games, I have to uninstall something, even if I have 32Gb of empty space plugged into the phone? Please tell me you're going to fix this... I'm upgrading from a 5230 that was already an old design when I bought it, and I could store maps wherever I wanted. I know that microSD support has only just come to Windows Phone so I don't expect perfection right out of the box, but please consider fixing this, for me it's a major bug. If it's not going to happen I guess I should cancel the order and buy the HTC 8X, doesn't cost much more than the 820 and has double the storage, and now you released Drive+ for all Windows Phones...

    Go to Solution.

You are correct about not being able to install map data on the sd card. I travel overseas regularly and havent seen the need to download more than just the maps I need for the next few months and remove them when not required. This is because the data is updated a couple of times a year anyway, so even if I already have the data downloaded a few months previous, I'll probably need to redownload it again to get the latest updates just before I travel.
However, if you should want to download all the map data anyway, then the 820 is not for you and there is always the Lumia 920 with 32gb storage.

  • 5700 vs N91 8GB

Well looks like N91 has had its day until now it has come to an end lol..
I think the 5700 will beat N91 when it comes to music now due to the following:
    5700
    - Symbian 9.2
    - 2 Mega Pixel Camera with Flash
    - Supports A2DP
    - Dual Stereo Speakers
    - 240x320 16M Colours (24-Bit)
    - MicroSD Support
    - 35 MB of user memory
    - 64 MB SDRAM, 128 MB ROM
    - ARM 11, 369 MHz CPU
    - 18 MB FREE RAM
    - 2GB Max Supported
Well this device beats the N91 hands down oh n another thing lol the audio via the headsets will be same as N91 with 8 Equalizers n use the same audio chip as N91 but slighty a bit more advanced.
Also Nokia are working on new firmware upgrades for the Support of Large MiniSD Cards (4GB) for most N-Series & E-Series handset...thats why there aint any firmware upgrades recently.
    N91 Owners goodbye lol..
Well what do you lot think will be the best phone for Audio?
    5700 or N91 8GB?

I have an N91 8GB and I don't think my upgrade path is a 5700 no matter what the specs.
Even the recently announced N81 seems better than the 5700 for music. But the fact that it's an N8x series and not an N9x series should tell us something.
There's also the N95 8GB but sources say that the audio department is the same as the regular N95 so this is not the N91 successor.
I think very soon there will be some N9x series device that will have the audio of the N91, the camera of the N93/N95, the screen of the N95 8GB, et c.
This is the one I'm waiting for.
Until then I think that the N91 is good enough.
I've installed a few add-ons that work really well. Plus it looks really good in the black dashboard of my car. The only thing I'm not too happy with is the screen.
    Good add ons for N91:
    - Nokia BT GPS adapter + Nokia maps
    - Portable BT stereo speakers
    - Wireless keyboard SU-8W
    - iNigma Bar code reader
    - Opera mini
    - Yahoo Go!
    - Microsoft Live!
    - Google Maps
    - eBuddybeta
    - Quickoffice
    - PDF reader
    - Handytask manager
640K Should be enough for everybody

  • Ext4 format support for microSD cards on Galaxy S5?

Can we get ext4 format support for microSD cards on Galaxy S5? New permissions that come on KitKat break some of my apps that need local storage. The enhanced permissions available with EXT4 should fix this as that is the internal Flash format. "Use the cloud" is a non-starter so don't even suggest it.

Not directly, but as a large customer they have a big say in what gets loaded in the ROM as evidenced by the many (unwanted) preloaded apps. Adding EXT4 file system support to restore Verizon's end customer user experience is something they can insist on. It is a simple requirement to add when the end manufacturer builds a custom ROM for Verizon. The underlying system already supports it and alternative ROMs (CM) have been created with that feature. I'm just not ready to install alternative ROM code on a phone that was just released, and only a week in my possession.

  • Does the N96 support 32GB microSD card?

Can this phone support SDHC cards with >8GB of space?
If not do you know of a phone that does have large capacity (or upgradable) for music, and supports tethering in addiiton?

It can accept 16gb cards without any issues and in theory it should accept 32gb cards.
I'm sure we will find out for certain once 32gb cards become widely available to the consumers.

  • Sony Xperia Z2 maximum supported write/read speed for MicroSD Cards

I am looking to buy one microSD card for my Xperia Z2 Phone (6503). My question is:  how fast it can write data to an SD card. For what I know, these speeds depend of SD Card controller. If I will know approximative numbers I can acquire adequate microSD card. Right now I am trying to decide between: SanDisk SDSDQX-064G-U46A Extreme Plus 64 GB - 80 MB/s SanDisk SDSDQUA-128G-G46A Ultra 128 GB - 30MB/s Writing speeds for these microSD Cards are half of indicated reed sped numbers. I like 128 GB capacity of Ultra Card, but will not hesitate to buy faster 64 GB Extreme Plus Card.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

If you use 4K recording like features, you might need to get a high speed SD!(go for the Maximum speed you can)
So I think Extreme plus would be better in this case, but if your phone is everything for you (just like me) use the maximum capacity (Which has a better speed as well, otherwise useless) I use a class 10 128 GB!
As far a I know, I think even 30 MBP will be enough for a 4K video!

  • Does Thinkpad 8 20BQ000KXS support UHS-I microSD cards?

Does it make sense to buy a fast UHS-I micro SD card to Thinkpad Tablet 8? Will that make a difference against a standard Class10 SD cards? (meaning, if the SD Card controller in the device supports the fast UHS-I cards)

As stated above, with 20MB/s when the card can odo 80MB/s, it means the intergrated SD card reader on the Thinkpad 8  does NOT take advantage of UHS-I cards! That's a real pity! Thus the original question reformulated:how could we get a real support of UHS-I cards?Driver update? OS update? On windows 10?Or is there any hardware limitation?
