Has anyone tried this mouse on the Macbook Pro? I'm wondering how it compares with other mice and looking for a portable yet functional solution. I need something that allows 3 button functionality for use with Autodesk Maya but also works well with OS X Leopard. Currently the Mighty Mouse while functional doesn't really meet my needs and is not as ergonomic as I would like in a portable mouse.

I haven't tried that one but the first thing I bought to expand the function of my new MacBook pro was a Logitech VX Nano Mouse.

I thoroughly endorse it and there are Mac specific downloadable drivers which are great (I quit using USB Overdrive in favor of the Logitech drivers.
I purchased mine from PC Connection as it had a $30 rebate offer which cut the final price in half.

I should add that I also have used a Microsoft Wireless Optical 3000 which I also liked a great deal but the Logitech has a tiny receiver which goes into a USB port and stays there even in tight fitting sleeves, five programmable buttons as well as a tilting scroll wheel with a very nice action and there's a little embedded On/Off switch on the bottom of the mouse to save battery life. It is an extremely well engineered mouse.

  • If I use my bluetooth mouse with my MacBook Pro will it drain more battery?

Bluetooth mouse (Razer Orochi) paired with MacBook Pro with Retina Display. Will it drain my battery drastically?

Not drastically but wil use at the minimum around 30 mins of battery life.....Depending how much you're using your mouse....

  • Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse 5000 with Leopard

    Hi All,
First post here, so be gentle!!!
I bought a MS bluetooth optical mouse 5000, after i saw MS were marketing the same mouse on their website for mac (exactly the same product as the windows version) in a diff box.
I seem to have issues with the intellipoint software, as such that is doesnt know the mouse is connected.
The mouse is paired, and works OK, but just as a 2 button mouse.
If i plug in my Wireless MS mouse, there is an option to select the mouse model i have, and the machine knows the mouse is connected, but using the bluetooth mouse, none of these options are available.
My leopard install is fully up to date with system updates, and am using latest intellipoint software
    Any ideas??
    Thanks

What version are you running? 6.2.2 is the latest according to versiontracker.com (http://versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/14205).

  • Unable to connect to bluetoothe mouse (microsoft notebook mouse 5000) because of missing passcode

whn i pair my mouse i need a passcode. i do not have the box of the mouse becuase it is really old, how do i connect without a psscode or what is the passcode?

    See Microsoft KB952818
A Microsoft Bluetooth mouse does not require a passkey to connect to the computer.
If you are prompted for a passkey, select No passkey. If you do not get the
No Passkey option, try to enter 0000 as a passkey by using your keyboard.

  • Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse Thumb Button

I'm the new owner of a MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz that I just bought today. Along with it, I purchased the Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse which moves and operates beautifully. The only thing is that I can't figure out a way to program the thumb button. I've seen some complaints on the web from people from a few months back who were unable to resolve the issue. I was hoping someone here could shed some light for me.
Thanks for your thoughts and time.

I don't know what is happening with the forum but the images are not opening and I'm unable to edit my post, so I'm uploading them again:

  • Can I use Bluetooth earphones with my Macbook Pro?

Can I use Bluetooth earphones with my Macbook Pro?
If so, are there any problems and/or limitations in doing so? (i.e. no stereo sound, or anything else?).

Can you use Bluetooth earphones simultaneously with the Magic Mouse (which is also Bluetooth)?
And, just out of curiosity, why can't you use the Bluetooth earphones on an airplane?

  • Solution for MS Bluetooth Mouse 5000 pairing problem

I had a problem with my MS bluetooth mouse 5000 pairing with my MacBook that I thought I should share. When I first bought the mouse, it paired with no problem at all. But after about 2 weeks it disconnected for some unknown reason. Thinking it was a problem with the mouse, I replaced the batteries, and even exchanged it for a new mouse. After going through the Mac bluetooth pairing process and trying out a number of solutions I saw posted on various bluetooth subjects, I could not get it to work - during the pairing process, it came up with various errors indicating that the pairing process failed.
Finally, from another post, I did the following:
    - removed all references to the mouse in the bluetooth list under Open Bluetooth Preferences.
    - I then did a PRAM reset per Apple's suggested procedure (Command-Option-P-R during start up).
Once this completed, I was able to get my mouse to successfully pair with my MacBook.

I had the same problem. The cure is to boot off of the OSX DVD and when it attempts to find a mouse hold down the connect button on the bottom of the mouse. Keep holding it down until OSX recognizes the mouse. It may take a minute or two. After the mouse has been recognized you can exit before the installation requires software to be transferred. Then just select a normal reboot on the exit menu option.

  • Microsoft bluetooth mouse & satellite P30 series

I bought a microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer for Bluetooth with an adapter USB BlueTooth.
I put the adapter and bluetooth connection works ok. I was able to communicate with my mobile phone.
But not my new mouse. On another computer it works fine. On mine I can'y install the driver. When I search for mouse, on bluetooth devices, it is recognized, but when I open again bluetooth devices, it isn't show.
The driver for TouchPad is overwrited with PS2 IntelliMouse ... and my mouse is not working.
    Can anybody help me?

    Hi
Unfortunately, its not easy to say why it doesnt work.
Does the other computer has a touchpad or a extra mouse driver?
Maybe there are some conflicts with the touchpad driver. You can try to remove the touchpad driver (Alps Touch pad Driver) and then try to test the Microsoft Bluetooth mouse. Maybe after this procedure the mouse will work properly.
    Bye

  • How can I download Microsoft office excel  for my MacBook Pro Mac OSX version for free. Please help me!

How can I download Microsoft office excel for my MacBook Pro  for free?

You can't. Excel is a commercial product sold by Microsoft in an Office "package" and not as a stand-alone product.
If you need to be able to open and save Excel documents on your Mac, however, you could try the free LibreOffice.

  • Bluetooth not working on Macbook Pro

The bluetooth functionality on my Macbook Pro is no longer working.  It has been intermittent for some time, but now does not work at all.

Make a Genius Bar appointment or see an authorized service provider and have the Bluetooth hardware tested.

  • Plugging a mouse into a Macbook pro

I have just plugged an Apple Pro mouse into my macbook pro and although the red light is active under the mouse it does not move the curser - any ideas?

what surface do you have it on, ive noticed some things will not work as a mouse "pad" with the IR mice.
things like white paper and some glossy surfaces and some surfaces that have a lot of printing, patterns, etc are also bad
oif that doesnt work check the other things that were already suggested
