Now i enetered LION os.. and i installed office communicator and installed all updates and currently i run 13.1.3 in my LION os 10.7.4 ... now when i enter my credentials, i get a warning message.. saying :-
"either dat and time settings are incorrect or the digital certificate is not valid or installed on your computer. IF date and time are correct, see your network administrator to verify that your digital certificate file is valid and installed"
i have attached the screenshot of the above error in the attachments too... now i dono anything about these digital certificates and all.. when i tried browsing thru net over this issue, i saw that once people migrated to lion os almost all have this certificate issue... i tried understanding their language on the certificates., but couldn't understand.. can someone let me know how to fix this issue ?? how to do and what to do., in simple english in detaile

This is NOT a Microsoft issue... this is caused by the OS X upgrade to 10.7.4 in which mac no longer trusts existing Security Certificates.  Does anyone have a resolution to that?
Yes it is...it's their software that' run into a compatiblity issue.
If you would have searched the MS forums as Tom already suggested you would have found the answer.

now I'm at the end of my knowledge....
can anybody please help, please !
    Thanks

    Hi Simon,
As suggested by “TP” check where the certificate is stored. The certificate must be installed in the personal certificate of the computer account and not your personal account. Also you can check by running below command in command prompt to check
where the issue is going wrong as stated by “Alan” in this thread.
    certutil -f –urlfetch -verify <your_certificate>.cer

  • Does microsoft office 2011 work with lion

does microsoft office 2011 work with lion

...since upgrading from a Macbook pro to a retina pro (with the latest OS) I cannot get Outlook to work, it freezes when I try to add my email accounts info...
The latest OS is 10.8.2. You've posted in the Lion (OS 10.7.x) forum.
...I don't have a clue what can be going wrong, it was all working fine on my macbook pro with Snow Leopard and the same setup is not working with Mountain Lion on the retina, ...The only reason I upgraded from Office 2008 was because I couldn't get it to stop closing down every few seconds with 'a problem'...
Different operating systems canNOT be the "same setup."
In my original installation of Office 2011 on a 2007 MBP with OS 10.6.8, I followed the guidelines Tips for a Successful Install. In launching Outlook 2011 for the first time, it recognized that I had Entourage 2004 and I was chose the option to have all the data transferred to Outlook 2011. While that was well over a year ago, I'm fairly certain that I did not need to manually set up my multitude of existing email accounts. Subsequently, I've added new accounts. A couple of months ago, I got a new mid-2012 MBP (non-retina) with OS 10.7.4. I used Pondini's advice , which I found here in the Apple Support Community for OS 10.7, to setup the new MBP from the old MBP with Setup Assistant. Afterwards, I manually installed my applications. I am certain that I did not need to manually setup any email accounts when I launched Outlook 2011.
That said, if you did not fix the problem that you were experiencing with Office 2008 (and more specifically Entourgage 2008) but migrated that data to your new rMBR, then your problem may lie within the old data. You have not provided information on how you installed Office 2011, if your setup of Outlook is as new or datea ported from Entourage, and what troubleshooting steps you have tried. As Kurt Lang suggested, the Microsoft Community would be best with your specific issues as stated.

  • Windows certificate problem - at least for a better description

I'm not sure where this should be posted.  I believe it's actually a Windows problem, so i'll try here first.
Okay, I was installing SQL 2012 express server and I ran into a problem during the installation.  It's been too long ago, and too many correction attempts since to remember what the original problem even was.  But, anyways I uninstalled the installation
and tried again, and again and again.   I was getting these errors:   Well damn, I've uninstalled my latest attempt and the error logs are gone.  Anyways it was failing on a certificate issue and then unable to find a start-up handle for the
database engine. After this I tried all of the suggested fixes put forth on msdn,  Stack OverFlow and several blogs, nothing worked.  One of the suggestions was to create a new account/profile and try installing with that account. At that point I
discovered that I couldn't create a functional new profile; every one failed when trying to log in.  That's why I think it is a Windows 8.1 problem and not a SQL installation problem, although it's likely that created the original problem. Anyways, I'm
stuck.  Any ideas, beyond re-installing (I'll probably wait for the April 8th update and see if that happens to fix the problem before suffering the inconvenience of a complete re-install) win 8.1?  I can recreate the error logs by going through
the installation again if they could help or I can pull the logs from one of the other blogs.
    Thanks,
    Ray

After more digging around I found another instance of this problem reported here:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/43cb5946-9d82-4973-b8a1-4053aa688ba8/user-profile-service-failed-the-signin-user-profile-cannot-be-loaded-for-any-new-accounts?forum=w8itprogeneral
( it won't let me post a link, so we get plain text)
As suggested in the mentioned post, checking my Event Viewer showed basically two type of Errors:  Event ID 1500 when trying to log in to Windows 8.1 with the newly created profile or creating a new profile; and Event ID 1511 when trying to install
SQL 2012 Server Express.  Later on in the error logs, errors with certificates are mentioned.  Further digging showed that in each case the errors occurred when an attempt was made to copy files from the Default profile, specifically files in the
\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VSCommon folder, to a Temp folder during creation of the new profile.  I copied these files to another temp folder and removed them from the offending location. After doing so, SQL 2012 Server Express installed properly and I
was able to create a new user profile which could log into Windows.  I haven't seen any other problems since the files were removed, VS2013 works fine, but it did before these issues popped-up too. (VS2012 was upgraded several months ago, so maybe the
    files were left from that?).
Hope this might help others who run into certificate problems when creating profiles, either during installation of programs or when creating a new user profile.

  • E3200 - frequently disconnects from Microsoft Communicator 2007

I have installed a E3200 with a wired connection from my laptop to the E3200.  Most of the time I can tell is it dropping connection because my connection to Microsoft Communicator 2007 and HP Virtual Rooms will disconnect, and I will become unavailable.  I frequently will get kicked out of conferences and out of the Communicator connection.  It will always reconnect, and seems to work ok until the next disconnect .  The disconnects seem very random and it is not long enough most of the time to drop my VPN.  However, if I by-pass the E3200 and connect directly to the cable modem, I never get disconnected.  I have tried not connecting with VPN, and it does't affect the problem.  I have also tried a new cable, and new port on the E3200.  I lowered the MTU to 1400.  Has anyone seen this issue?
My firmware is 1.0.01 on the E3200.

Over here, can you please confirm it to me that when you are facing issues of getting disconnected with your Microsoft Communicator 2007, is it just about getting disconnected from this very application or the overall internet disconnects?

  • Unified communication certificates  (UCC) : SSSLERR_SERVER_CERT_MISMATCH

    Hello ,
We are using UCC (unified communication certificates) which allows us
to include multiple domains controlled in a single certificate.
    http://help.godaddy.com/article/3908
We are trying to setup a secure connection from SAP ECC6 (Abap stack
    7.01 SPS6) to the adress : https://serverA
When using IE, and examining the certificate installed at this adress, CN=serverB,
which contains several domains including serverA.
The ICM is in the client role
The following entry is displayed in the trace:
    [Thr 1] Tue Jun 28 15:30:06 2011
    [Thr 1] TRACE FILE TRUNCATED
    [Thr 6] Tue Jun 28 15:30:14 2011
    [Thr 6] MatchTargetName
    ("serverA", "CN=serverB OU=Global IT, O=****, L=****, C=FR") FA
    [Thr 6] SSL NI-sock: local=160.92.204.42:53988 peer=160.92.209.8:443[Thr 6] <<- ERROR: SapSSLSessionStart(sssl_hdl=0x6000000005ce4510)
    ==SSSLERR_SERVER_CERT_MISMATCH
    [Thr 6] *** ERROR => IcmConnInitClientSSL: SapSSLSessionStart failed (-30): SSSLERR_SERVER_CERT_MISMATCH [icxxconn_m
There is apparently a certificate mismatch issue, SAP ICM is expecting
the CN to be "serverA", instead of "serverB"
I had a look at sap note "Note 1318906 - Trace analysis of SSL
    problems" which states that
"the certificate that is returned by the server is issued for a
different server name and is therefore rejected"
But by definition, when using UCC, several domains and hostnames are
secured within one CN. It means that serverA domain is
    included in CN=serverB
Therefore when accessing the application with IE, there are no errors.
Is there an option on SAP ECC to be able to handle such certificates?
Thank you very much for your help.
    Best Regards.

    hi
Do you mean Lync or older version of MS Communicator ( Luns is also know as Microsoft Communicator )
I agree with Rajesh, that syntax it's ok for lync, and maybe should work for older versions of communicator.
Check this official doc for Lync

  • OS X Safari and Hotmail Certificate Problem

Hello Apple discussions,I Am having problems accessing part of a microsoft hotmail account which explains below
I Have a problem with my hotmail Web account Using OS X 10.6.4 Safari 5.0 when I Try adding another email account to my hotmail account where it says: Add an e-mail account on the left side pane of hotmail. when I Click on Add an e-mail account I Get the error message for a Certificate problem: safari cannot verify the identity of the website ¨col0-sec.mail.live.com¨ I Am using OS X 10.6.4 and Safari 5.0. I Have tried using a earlier version of safari but the same problem occurred so I Tried using Google Chrome (most recent) and Opera Browsers for MAC and with no luck, the exact same problem. so I Tried adding an email account using a windows xp machine, it had no problem adding an email account so the problem seems to be OS X problem. It seems to be something wrong with the certificate for validation on the Microsoft website I Think.I Can send a screen shot of the entire message that popped up for the invalid certificate if needed to fix this problem.

Thought of something else you might try.
Open Keychain Access (Applications/Utilities) Select "My Certificates" or on the left.
If you see a Microsoft/Hotmail certificate, double click that. Click the gray disclosure triangle so
it faces down. Click the pop up menu next to: When using this certificate and set it to: Always Trust.
Relaunch Safari and try logging into your Hotmail account.

Many years ago synced iCal with Microsoft program. Since installing Lion whenever I try to create an event in iCal it flashes up message "Unable to open Microsoft sync services Power PC applications no longer supported." How do I get rid of message?

Lion no longer supports PowerPC apps. If this is Microsoft Office 2008 (Entourage 2008) then you should disable the syncing services.  (I don't have Office 2008 installed anymore so I don't know exactly what it's called anymore.)  If you have Microsoft Office 2004 or earlier, then it can't be run on Lion at all since Lion removed Rosetta, which is what allowed a PPC app to run on an Intel based Mac.
Also, I believe Microsoft removed sync services from the current Outlook 2011 (which replaces Entourage) so even upgrading to a newer version of Microsoft Office will not get you back that calendar sync feature.  Supposedly Microsoft is working on a new syncing system, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
