Microsoft DBF Drivers issue with Windows Embedded 7

Error while running application "ODBC Driver, Microsoft dBase Driver(*.dbf) no found.
Is this the bug with 32 bit of Windows please help me on it

is "Windows Data Access Components" part of your image? This is required for generic ODBC support (and also may provide drivers for some basic ODBC database types).
DBF seems to be related to FoxPro databases, check your configuration in ODBC administrator:
My "common" WES7 has a "Microsoft FoxPro VFP Driver (*.dbf)" -> VFPODBC.DLL. Is this driver present in your image (is part of the component I mentoined before)?
Next: Did you set up some data sources for such databases? Check the settings for "User DSN", "System DSM" and "File DSN" and verify them against a system that does not have this problem.

  • Major Issues with Windows XP and Sound Blaster Audig

As mentioned in the post title, I'm using a Sound Blaster Audigy 4 card (recently purchased) and am having issues with Windows XP apparently because of it. When the card is physically installed, but the drivers are not, there are no problems. However, when the drivers are installed, Windows XP's "explorer.exe" crashes on boot, locking up the start menu and any other open windows. Now, I can manually end the explorer.exe application and then reboot it, and things will work... however, I cannot imagine that that is the intended functionality of this card. Additionally, I suspect the card in the failure of a game (Eve Online) but I would assume the issues are related. I've already narrowed the issue down to the Sound Blaster drivers. I've tried booting with the SB drivers but without the video card drivers, and the problem recurred. Every time I boot with the SB drivers installed, it fails. Without them, things seem to run normally. If it helps, I'm using an Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 processor, with GB of DDR800 RAM. I've installed Windows Service Pack 2 and all the other updates. The video card is a Geforce 7950 GT, with the latest NVidia Forceware (93.7) drivers. I've had this problem with both the Audigy drivers on the CD that came with the card and the newest ones downloaded from this website. My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3, which includes onboard sound hardware, but I have disabled it at the BIOS level. I can provide dxdiag information or anything like that if necessary. Does anyone have any advice, suggestions, or have you encountered a similar problem?Message Edited by DerekKatz on 2-04-200603:2 AM

Thanks for the helpful reply Dan
I ran the file, CTZAPXX.exe, like suggested, and it ran without a problem. It installed the files and even required me to reboot my computer!!
However, after a computer restart, I am still in the same boat. Codecs are installed, but the location of the device is "unknown". In Device manager, there are no unknown devices; it shows the codecs in the sound tab, but no actual hardware; as if my sound card does not exist.
I use my computer for music, and my buddy needs me tomorrow night to play some music stored on my computer. I really do appreciate the help I am offered. I do not mean to sound impatient, but I really need this device fixed, or I will have to have him buy me a sound card....

  • URL issue with Windows 7 Internet Explorer 11 and SAP NW PI 7.

    Hello SAP community,
I am facing a strange issue with Windows 7 - Internet Explorer 11 and SAP NW java services (I hope I am in the correct discussion) ...
When I try to open URL http://sapserver.hosters-name:port it is working so far with Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 11.
But when I click than on NWA (example), I am getting "http 500 server error".
I don't have the issue, when I start-up a VMware Workstation with Windows XP and Internet Explorer 8.
But now the strange part: In our network DNS (Domain Name Service), we can also open the URL by http://sapserver.our-dns:port.
Than it is working without problems with Windows 7 and Internet Explorer.
I would agree to state the comment - it is just a Windows 7/Internet Explorer 11 issue, if it wouldn't work for both URLs (http://sapserver.hosters-name:port = problem URL; http://sapserver.our-dsn:port = working).
We are using a SAP NW PI 7.x system. Some URLs for PI are using http://sapserver.hosters-name:port/java service.
Do you have any hints what is cause the issue - I suspect some with Internet Explorer and Firefox (because with Google Chrome at least the URL for NWA is opened, beside the issue, Google Chrome can't display NWA content)?
    Thanks for your help.
    Best regards
    Carlos

    Hi all,
I think I found the solution.
The reason seems to be, the domain name for http://sapserver.our-dns:port, "our-dns" was already added to the compatibility view settings of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
That seemed to be the reason, why it was working with http://sapserver.our-dns:port.
When I now added for http://sapserver.hosters-name:port the domain "hosters-name" to the compatibility view settings it is now working.
Internet Explorer Options => Settings for compatibility view => Add domain
    Best regards

  • SSLVPN connectivity issue with Windows 7 x64 All browsers.

I think that I have tried everything to get this working but whatever I seem to do I cannot connect to my SSLVPN using Windows 7 x64. The 32bit version is fine. I have installed the Microsoft C++ Redistributable 2010 and 2005 for both x86 and x64. I have tried clearing the cache in the Browser. I have installed Chrome and Firefox , I even started my laptop using the 'Disable Driver Signature Enforcement' from Advanced Boot options but nothing is working.
Does anyone have anything else to try. This is a bit of a showstopper for us because not do we have this issue with Windows but we have Mac users as well and that is also an issue.
Cisco really needs to fix this issue fast...
    Please help.
    Thanks

Try using both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Internet Explorer.  Sometimes one of the two will work.

  • Weird issue with Windows Server 2008 R2 Print Server

I have an issue with Windows 2008 R2 (VMWare Hosted) running Windows Print Server.
Prior to a small network change, the print server was working well, hosting about 80 different networked printers from various vendors.
We made a change (that we ended up rolling back) to the Client's DHCP Scope OPT 006 (DNS Servers). The DNS servers never quite worked right and broke AD authentication to different servers, and was just a mess.
After rolling back we are not able to keep the printers online. If we ping them from the print server, the printer(s) never wake up, when a print job is submitted. If we ping them from one of the access switches, they work fine (until they fall back asleep),
to prevent this, if we start a ping on the server AFTER waking them up from the Switch Ping, they stay online and no problems.
If we stop the ping, they fall back asleep at some point, and again, won't wake up without intervention/switch side ping.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? Any tips on how I could possibly resolve it?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
According to your description, the issue seems to be that the printers can't keep online. Sounds like a power managerment issue. Why these printers fall into sleep? Have you consulted this issue with the manufacturer of these printers? Do these printers
fall into sleep if them lose the contact with printer server? Have you tried to reset the printers?
    >>We made a change (that we ended up rolling back) to the Client's DHCP Scope OPT 006 (DNS Servers).
DNS client will cache the recently queried records. If the DNS server has replied with a wrong records, communication issues will occur. To clear the DNS cache on a Windows device, please run the command below:
    ipconfig /flushdns
    Best Regards.

  • Itunes issues with Windows having to do with Apple's patent

I had a thought and am not sure if it's right. I was wondering if myissues with Apple Itunes store on Windows 7 has anything to do with the Patent laws and all with Apple and samsung and all that.

I had the same issues with Windows 8 Consumer Preview. I installed on a fresh system and still had issues.
I experienced extreme lag, with pretty much everything, and iTunes freezing once I attempted to change the currently playing song.
I had a mess with compatibility mode and found out that running it in with Compatibility mode enabled for Windows XP (Service Pack 3) and as an administrator fixed it. It works now, however, there is a popup message that comes up on launch telling you to change the compatibility settings, but pressing "OK" makes it go away.
    How?
Open Windows Explorer, and navigate to: "C:\Program Files\iTunes" (For 32bit) or "C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes" (For 64bit), unless you changed it.
Right-click on "iTunes.exe", select "Properties" from the context menu, and click the "Compatibility" tab.
Under "Compatibility mode" check off "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" from the drop down menu.
Further down under "Privilege level" check off "Run this program as an administrator".
    Click "Apply" and "OK".
Should fix any issues, I have my default iTunes Media Folder Location within an external hard drive so unplugging all of my USB's wasn't an option.
    Hope I helped!

  • ITunes and iPhone 4 sync issues with Windows 7 64 bit

I am getting several errors with sync'ing iTunes to my iPhone on windows7 64bit. I reinstalled iTunes, I did a repair on iTunes, even tried a RESTORE on iPhone, but it gives me so many errors one after another after another.
    1. Some of the items were NOT copied to iPhone "iPhone" because one ore more errors occured.
    2. Attempting to copy to the disk "iPhone" failed. An internal device error occured.
    3. The iPhone "iPhone" can NOT be synced. An unknown error occured (0xE8004006).
    4. The iPhone "iPhone" can not be synced. The required file can not be found.
    5. The iPhone "iPhone" can not be synced. A duplicate filename was specified.
    6. The iPhone "iPhone" can not be synced. An internal device error occured.
These errors keep appearing one after the other.
I have fully uninstalled iTunes and ALL Apple programs from my PC, rebooted, disabled antivirus/firewall software, etc.
I have tried changing time zones.
I have created a new user account on same laptop and still have same issues with iTunes.
Restore fails with error "Unable to read file or file is corrupt".
Yet iTunes works fine on a 32bit operating system of Windows 7.
The problem is that I upgraded my laptop and the new laptop is Win7 64bit. I have ALL the newest drivers, and I checked to ensure it was not a BIOS or CHIPSET driver causing issues. All windows updates are up to date and current.
I have been trying for over a week with every piece of trouble shooting I can find to make this work.
Any help or further information would be VERY GREATLY APPRECIATED.
    Thanks in Advance

I too am having the exact same issues on the same laptop! I spent an hour last night with "supervisor" in tech support who didn't solve my problem but did close the ticket (210757099 for any Apple people that might read this). Thanks a lot Ben!
I have seven ipod/iphone/ipad devices so I am very familiar with how to sync. In the last few weeks, version 10.2 of iTunes (I'm up to 10.2.1.1) has gotten less and less reliable in successfully sync'ing to the devices. It started out with my 3GS, but my iPhone 4 was fine. Then I got an iPad2 and now NOTHING will sync properly. Every time I plug one in (or press the sync button) it wants to do a restore from the backup made the last time it sync'd. It does that, reboots the device and sync's.
    I've gotten a ton of errors, here's a sample.
iBooks couldn't be installed on my iPhone unknown error 0xE800000C
Textie couldn't be installed on my iPhone, unknown error 0xE8000013
"failed required file not found" - This is one of my favorite error messages. It demonstrates how Apple is becoming like Microsoft. It is 100% accurate and totally useless. It would be helpful if it told me the NAME of the file that was not found...
    unknown error 0xE8004006
"duplicate file found" - Again, in true Microsoft form, it didn't tell me the NAME of the file that was duplicated.
I tried everything discussed in the following thread but it did not work.
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2401822
Stopping the enhanced USB controller didn't work. Mine is the Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller (version 9.1.1.1020).
A few days ago I got hundreds of errors in a sync. When it completed, a dialogbox came up asking if I wanted to send this crash report to Apple, I said yes. So, crash reports are now automatically being sent. You can see evidence of this in the %appdata%\Apple Computer\Logs directory.
This section of the log looked interesting because it says it couldn't connect to USB mux port 32498
[4404 @ Tue Mar 22 09:05:05 2011] [(unknown facility) iTunes.exe] AMDServiceConnectionReceiveMessage (thread 4232): Could not receive size of message: 0 No error

  • ITunes sync issues with Windows 7 64k Bit

I am beyond frustrated! I have attempted for the past 3 days straight to figure out why iTunes keeps having syncing issues with all my devices- Nano 8GB, Touch 8GB, iPhone 3G 8GB. When I first connected the devices for the first time iTunes froze up and I had to hard boot. I then had to "restore" the devices as they were messed up. Since then I have had syncing issues. It says it is syncing but then it stops and freezes before it is finished and is unresponsive requiring me to end the program. Then my computer does not recognize the iPod is connected so I have to reboot my computer and it all starts over again. I'm not trying to sync a million song, 600 songs less than 2Gig.
Called Apple, they had me uninstall iTunes 9 and reload it. That did not fix the problem. Called back and they told me to go to the Apple store and have them check my devices (they did not as they said they were pretty sure it was not iTunes or my devices) that it was probably Windows 7. MS points the finger at iTunes 9, Apple points the finger at Windows 7... all the while me (the customer) has no resolution. I don't care what the issue is... I would just like to figure out how to fix it (if it's my computer fine...I'll take it in to have it fixed) but I just cant get anyone to help figure out what/where the issue is.
I have tried many of the "tricks" that are posted when you google the issue.. ie reinstall drivers etc. The "Genius" at the Apple store searchd and found something that said it might be my motherboard needing an updated driver (I updated that and nothing changed).
Would REALLY appreciate it if someone could help
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Does your PC have a NVIDIA USB Enhanced Host Controller Interface (EHCI) chipset?
If it does, you may want to try the Microsoft hotfix available here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976972.

  • Is this an issue with Windows 8.1 Enterprise Main theme or with my Laptop Screen??!!

    Hello,
I currently found a strange issue happening with my display and it only occurs when I am setting my desktop background as the Main Windows theme or any picture I set as a theme.
When I click inside any open folder as shown in this recorded video and when I click on Desktop, doing this back and forth and I notice quick flickering inside the open windows.
You will see this at second 0:26 in the video.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-8z8Ef2DcY&feature=youtu.be
It is also obvious in this video, I am doing this with the Intel Graphics Control Panel window.
The issue occurs at the time 0:10 and 0:25
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntqNC1gUtHU&feature=youtu.be
Note: This only occurs when I switch between themes for the first time.

Well, here are my latest results.
Now, I am 100% and I can guarantee you that there is a still issue within Windows 8.1 theme.
I installed Windows 8 again, now see how the Device Manager looks like, see the Display Adapter driver.
    It's Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.2)
And now before I install any drivers or programs when I switch between themes and then switch back to that Main blue theme, no single flickers happens, so that means Windows 8 has no problems?
Looks like when you released Windows 8, you included graphics drivers for each system to install automatically after Windows install. Now the Windows Main Theme is a blue flower.
I installed Windows 8.1 again, now see how the Device Manager looks like, see the Display Adapter driver.
    It's Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.
And now before I install any drivers or programs when I switch between themes and then switch back to that Orange color theme, I get screen quick black flickering, so that means Windows 8.1 may have got issue when switching back to the Main theme.
I have also read this in this link
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/dn344644.aspx
Windows 8.1 x86 and x64 graphics driver availability status
Windows 8.1 graphics driver deployment changes (x86/x64)
Windows 8.1 doesn't include in-box, third-party GPU drivers. Instead, drivers are provided via Dynamic Update during the operating-system (OS) installation or upgrade process, or via Windows Update after the initial boot of the OS. Customers installing
Windows from a USB flash drive or ISO image while not connected to the Internet get the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter driver with limited functionality. Customers are encouraged to install Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL)-certified third-party drivers
from Windows Update, OEM, or independent hardware vendor (IHV) websites when available.
Now, I thought of an idea. I thought that if replaced that Microsoft Basic Display Adapter which is in Windows 8.1 with that in Windows 8 (Intel HD Graphics 4000 Microsoft Corporation WDDM 1.2) The issue might be fixed.
So I reverted back to Windows 8 and used DriverMax to make a backup of the graphics driver.
Now, I reverted back to Windows 8.1 and used that DriverMax software to restore that graphics driver which was pre-installed in Windows 8 but still the issue isn't fixed. :(
I am sure the issue that causes this black flicker on screen when switching back to the Main theme and then closing down the
Personalization window isn't related to the graphics hardware or the driver.
I am pretty sure Windows is causing this.
I think you should get a fix to this please, work on a fix for this flicker that happen when switching themes I am pretty sure the other issue that causes flicker on my open window when clicking inside it and outside it will fade away.
