Microsoft lifechat lx-3000 headset microphone broken?

I bought this headset about a month ago and it ran completely fine on windows 8, but then i changed to a new computer with windows 7 (the one i currently use). it worked fine for the firs couple of weeks but now the microphone seems to be playing up. it
will only work on the rare occasion but otherwise it, according to my friends makes a "crackling" sound whenever i try to speak. this happened vry suddenly and i dont know what has caused it.

I found the solution ...
To enable my USB headset, I had to disable my motherboard
built-in sound card in my PC BIOS.
When I did so, PRESENTER 6.1 is using the only microphone
avalaible : the USB one ...
But it is strange that PRESENTER 6.1 does not provide the
input card choice ...

I got the Lifechat LX-3000, and when I move the volume slider down in the volume controls, it gets quieter, but when I get to 0% I still hear sound, and I cannot make it get any quieter than it gets at that point. If I click mute, the sound goes off, but
I want to be able to use the headphones at a lower volume than what it is at 0%. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

Firstly, please test the issue using another headphone.
If that one works fine, based on my research, please download and install the
driver and see how it works.

Lifechat LX-3000 issues

Hello, I recently bought a Lifechat LX-3000. After plugging it in initially it did not work at all, then I figured since I am running Windows 7 I would need to find some drivers. Well I downloaded the drivers from this link:

After installing that, I now could get sound, but my mic is not working at all. I can't hear myself through the headset and nobody through a ventrillo server can hear me either. I have tried setting the device as the default device but that didn't fix it either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
Note: The headset works fine with windows XP, so it's not the headset itself that's he problem.

First of all, I suggest you to check the volume of the microphone. If you mute the microphone, anybody can’t hear you.
After that, you can do a troubleshooting to detect what the problem is.
The specific steps are below:
1. Type “Troubleshooting” to open Windows troubleshooting software.
2. Choose “Troubleshooting audio recording” and click “next” to do the troubleshooting.
After the troubleshooting, you can see follow the order to fix the problem.

It is possible to transmit voice from a Headset Microphone to Iphone5?

I am planning to run Yoga classes in the near future and will need a headset microphone so my class can hear me clearly. I would like to use my Iphone5 in a speaker dock and was wondering if I could transmit sound from a (preferably) wireless headset with built in microphone through to my iphone and out of the speaker dock?

Copy the movie to your computer, Then you can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

I have Web App in which I am connecting to MS SQLServer 2005. I have created a datasource on the server and used Microsoft's free JDBC drivers i.e. msutil.jar,mssqlserver.jar,msbase.jar. Now every now and then I am getting the following error when trying to connect to the SQLServer

Plz Help - Issue with Microsoft Comfort Mouse 3000

Hey everyone..
Lil story to begin this one. I am a mac user for 2 years, and I love it. I recently got a job doing digital artist/retouching working at a big photo studio in my locale - they use windows xp. After working there for a while, I realized that the mouse control/acceleration on windows is far superior to mac os x (in my opinion, and others as well).
I went out and bought the Microsoft Comfort Mouse 3000 on recomdendation because it uses the mouse drivers from windows (different acceleration curve). It works fine for movement, yet the software that allows me to assign expose features to the wheel button DOES NOT WORK. Nothing will make it work - it only shows the active windows. If I try to assign dashboard to that button and click ok, it doesnt' work. Even after restarting, it still doesn't work.
Any suggestions?!?!? (i know it's MS, but this should be working right)

installing the drivers was the first thing I did. Still does not work - I then uninstalled everything - went snooping on the microsoft site and actually found the intellipoint 6.2.1 drivers, installed those, and the mouse wheel button does still not work

Can not pick up sound through the Bluetooth headset microphone.

I use a Plantronics Bluetooth headset M55 connect new IPAD (IOS6.0), long press the voice dialing, SIRI from Bluetooth headset microphone can not pick up sound, still or IPAD comes with a microphone to pick up sound, SIRI does not recognize, but canfrom the earpiece of the Bluetooth headset to hear the SIRI feedback sound.Want to be able to solve this bug.

Same issue on my wife's iPhone 4S. I suspect it is related to the recent 6.1.2 iOS update (Note: I have a 3S and the update did not cause any issues).
I've tested both bottom and top mics on the 4S using video recorder and both mics work fine. Speakerphone and headset during calls also work fine. The issue is only related to the bottom mic while making calls. I can hear the caller but the caller cannot hear me. If I hold the mic very close to my mouth, the caller can hear a very low level signal.
The problem appears to be software related, not hardware.

Gigaworks T20: Headset/Microphone

Hello, I plugged in my headset/microphone into my speakers system gigaworks T20.Problem is that my microphone doesn't work. When I'm calling someone over the internet they can't hear me. I already dit several checks en tests but I can't find what the problem is.
I think dat the speakers doens't have the possibility to use a microphone.

If you want to use a microphone with your computer software, you need to connect it to your computer sound card instead. The Aux In on the speaker isn't meant for connecting microphone.

Fatal!ty HS-1000 headset microphone

Just recently my Fatal!ty HS-1000 headset microphone stopped working. The red light on the headset is lit up but as soon as i start a game that uses a mic or connect to a ventrilo server or use any program that uses a mic, the red light just goes out and I cannot use the mic. As soon as i close the program the light turns back on. Any info that could help me get my mic working would be great....
Winxp 64 is my os and the mic worked just fine for a year or so just until yesterday. I can provide more system info if needed.

Problem with Microsoft LX-3000 Headset

I just got a Pavillion DV7 A1T85UAR#ABA. I love evrything about this system, but I can't get my Microsoft LX-3000 USB headset to work. I have installed the audio drivers for both 32bit x86 and 64bit x64. When I go to the sound and check the headset out I get good audio in both channels. when I try to play itunes I get audio fro the system speakers but nothing through the headset. Anyone have any ideas?

It may just be defective. If you have access to another, I'd test that out. Otherwise you might want to look into returning it from where it was purchased or looking into the warranty.

WIN 8.1 and MICROSOFT LIFECAM HD-3000 compatibilty - Preview screen "blacked-out"

It seems that there are hundreds of Users with Webcam issues since WIN 8.1 has been downloaded. I have trawled sites and Forums for procedures to ensure that my LIFECAM HD-3000 will work otherwise it a waste of £14.99. No solution has worked. Drivers and
software have been re-loaded from official MS site, and/or Safe Starts undertaken, and/or uninstalling and then re-installing and nothing works.
I think that the problem is that the CAMERA APP built-in with WINS 8 or 8.1 is "always on" in the background and stops other programs/programmes using the webcam output. Is one definitive answer to get webcams working in WINS8.1. Even the MANYCAM
software fails to work with WIN8.1.

This could be driver issue. Please contact the manufacturer to ask for the latest driver for your Webcam in Windows 8.1, and reinstall it to check the results. If there is not, we need wait for the updates from manufacturer.
Meanwhile, to use webcam, we need to get it properly set.

Lifechat lx-3000 sides click in and out distorting audio

Upon purchasing this headset, I noticed the sound was awfully different from the last pair of these headphones I previously had. The sound was much lower in the right ear than the left ear. As I lifted the headset up the audio clicked back and was fixed.
But now, if I put down the headset or lift it up to scratch an itchy ear, the audio lowers again, and the ear muff makes a click sound. It seems if I click the outside of the right ear muff in it makes the click sound again and goes back to normal audio.
It is really irritating as I have had multiple of these headsets which have broken over the years and I have never had this problem. I can't take it back to the store I purchased it at as the faith I had in it not being faulty as they never have been so
I threw out the receipt.
What do I do, what can I do to fix it. Please help, it's really irritating...

Meanwhile, I suggest you try the headset in another PC, then test the sound effects again, we should first find out whether this is a PC issue or a headset issue, if this is a headset issue, then you can go back to the store to replace it with a new
one if it is still under guarantee.
If this is a pc issue, then please make sure to keep the latest driver for your audio device, you can manually view the manufacture website to find the driver.

Sound Blaster Arena Gaming Headset: Microphone not working. Please help.

I am using Vista. I have used Creative Software AutoUpdate and all my drivers are up to date.
So I had the set for about month before tonight I plugged the detachable microphone into it. Its as if it doesn't exist. When I go to sound/recording It shows: Headset/SB Arena Headset/Working. It is set as default. But it doesn't specifically say microphone. Just the headset stuff. The line volume is at 00. But when I talk into it... Nothing.
A look at the Arena FAQs turned up this:
"Are there any indications that the microphone is working?
You should see an orange circle light at the Inline controls. If this orange light blinks, it indicates that the microphone is switched off."
Google searched for Inline controls and I'm still not sure what they are. I've never used a gaming headset before so the trick to this could be overly simple and I'm just not seeing it. Its really starting to tick me off though. Did I just get a brick set and now its to late to return?
I even tried uninstalling my mobo audio drivers. That didn't do anything. Tried using windows audio recorder. Nothing.
Please help me.
