Microsoft M60 Mouse

I recently got the bluetooth version of the Microsoft M60 IntelliMouse explorer, but the forward and back buttons on the side wont work in Safari (or FireFox for that matter). There isnt any option to program those buttons anywhere that I can find, including in the software that came with the mouse. anyone have any ideas about how I could get these buttons to work? It would be a big help and make this otherwise great mouse worth the money. Thanks in advance.

Scroll wheel on Microsoft Comfort mouse 4500 not working in Framemaker 7

Hi folks
It is another scroll wheel not working in Frame 7 question. I have just attached a Microsoft Comfort mouse 4500 to my machine, downloaded the software, IPx86_1033_8.20.468.0, for this mouse as required by Microsoft and the scroll wheel does not work, this is the fourth type of mouse installed of different makes. Is there a fix for this new mouse so I can scroll in Frame or can anyone recommend a mouse that will work?
Microsoft are saying the mouse is not fauly as it works in all other programs and PDF as well.
I have removed and reinstalled all software as recommended by Microsoft, and even tried installing in different configurations still to no avail.
Any suggestions would be appreciated,

Microsoft Wireless Mouse Wheel working upside down

I just installed OX 10.7 Lion yesterday. I have an Intel based Macbook and I use a Microsoft Wireless (non-bluetooth) Laser Mouse with it and ever since I installed Lion the Wheel Button funtion scroll up/down and left/right is backwards (down/up and right/left) from the way it is supposed to. I tried every setting and switched to another Microsoft Wreless Mouse and it is doing the same thing. I have updated to the latest version of Microsoft Mouse software but to no avail. It is very frustrating when I'm scrolling (which I do a lot). Has anyone else run into this problem. I've tried everything I can think of to correct this but I have been unsecussful up to this point.

Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse Thumb Button

I'm the new owner of a MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz that I just bought today. Along with it, I purchased the Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse which moves and operates beautifully. The only thing is that I can't figure out a way to program the thumb button. I've seen some complaints on the web from people from a few months back who were unable to resolve the issue. I was hoping someone here could shed some light for me.

Microsoft bluetooth mouse & satellite P30 series

I bought a microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer for Bluetooth with an adapter USB BlueTooth.
I put the adapter and bluetooth connection works ok. I was able to communicate with my mobile phone.
But not my new mouse. On another computer it works fine. On mine I can'y install the driver. When I search for mouse, on bluetooth devices, it is recognized, but when I open again bluetooth devices, it isn't show.
The driver for TouchPad is overwrited with PS2 IntelliMouse ... and my mouse is not working.
Can anybody help me?

Unfortunately, its not easy to say why it doesnt work.
Does the other computer has a touchpad or a extra mouse driver?
Maybe there are some conflicts with the touchpad driver. You can try to remove the touchpad driver (Alps Touch pad Driver) and then try to test the Microsoft Bluetooth mouse. Maybe after this procedure the mouse will work properly.

whn i pair my mouse i need a passcode. i do not have the box of the mouse becuase it is really old, how do i connect without a psscode or what is the passcode?

Microsoft wireless Mouse vs Razor Naga

Hi all and sorry for presenting you with what is probably a very simply remedied problem i am experiencing.Today i purchased a Razor Naga Gaming Mouse - for that reason - gaming. I got home and could not wait to test it out however after i had tried
it out i then wished to return my trusted Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000. After unplugging and putting away my new Naga I was quite alarmed to discover my trusty old MS Mouse had stopped responding.
Any idea's fella's??? (please) :)

IPhone trying to mate with Microsoft wireless mouse.

I know this is hard to believe, but when my iPhone is within 2 feet of my Dell PC, I can move the cursor on the computer. But once the iPhone realizes that it has a captive audience it starts moving through menus, clicking, moving to new items. I thought I was under attack or that the microsoft wireless mouse was going ballistic.
This doesn't happen on any of my apple products. The fix is just to keep these two animals separated.

If you drag to another folder it moves. If you drag to another disk, it copies.
This can be modified by certain control keys:
Command key while dragging
Move dragged item to other volume/location (pointer icon changes while key is held--see this article)
Option key while dragging
Copy dragged item (pointer icon changes while key is held--see this article)
Option-Command key combination while dragging
Make alias of dragged item (pointer icon changes while key is held--see this article)

I can't say for sure about a 3000 mouse, but I recently bought a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 to use with my Mac mini running 10.6.4 and I found that the disc supplied did not have the most up to date software. The 'check for new software' (buried in the Microsoft mouse preferences, not the Apple 'Software Update...' ) claimed there were no new versions available.
However, when I went to http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/ and looked in Download Software I found a newer version. After downloading and installing it the mouse works well.
There are several types of 3000 mice listed, 'IntelliPoint 7.1 for Mac' is recommended for the ones I just checked on (also my 5000, which came with 7.0). Have a look there for your exact model, and see if the download is different than the supplied software.

Plz Help - Issue with Microsoft Comfort Mouse 3000

Hey everyone..
Lil story to begin this one. I am a mac user for 2 years, and I love it. I recently got a job doing digital artist/retouching working at a big photo studio in my locale - they use windows xp. After working there for a while, I realized that the mouse control/acceleration on windows is far superior to mac os x (in my opinion, and others as well).
I went out and bought the Microsoft Comfort Mouse 3000 on recomdendation because it uses the mouse drivers from windows (different acceleration curve). It works fine for movement, yet the software that allows me to assign expose features to the wheel button DOES NOT WORK. Nothing will make it work - it only shows the active windows. If I try to assign dashboard to that button and click ok, it doesnt' work. Even after restarting, it still doesn't work.
Any suggestions?!?!? (i know it's MS, but this should be working right)

installing the drivers was the first thing I did. Still does not work - I then uninstalled everything - went snooping on the microsoft site and actually found the intellipoint 6.2.1 drivers, installed those, and the mouse wheel button does still not work
I can't make it use ANY other feature other than 'show all windows"

Microsoft Explorer Mouse and Illustrator CS4

Hi,
Has anyone had experience using the Microsoft Explorer Mouse with Illustrator CS4? The mouse wheel barely seems to work. Using your finger doesn't work, I need to use my other hand just to give enough rotation to make it work.
It worked fine on CS3.
And it continues to work fine in Photoshop and every other application of tried, just not Illustrator. I can't imagine what the problem could be.
Any help or even suggestions for solving this would be appreciated. Trying to do anything in Illustrator without a mousewheel is a nightmare!!!

Microsoft Arc Mouse bug?

Hey forum,
I just thought I would report a rather interesting "bug" in OS X.
When using the original Microsoft Arc Mouse plugged directly into my Macbook's USB Port, it has an incredible amount of lag. Installing the official drivers actually does not help, but makes it worse.
Interestingly enough, using a Rocketfish USB hub (no other kind works), these problems go away. I wonder why that is. Drivers also cause problems.
Anyone else have this issue? Only a bug in 10.6.xx. I suppose going to the feedback pages for Apple and MS would be a suggestion but won't do much.
Just wondering what you guys think of this.

I'm having the same problem with same mouse too (Microsoft Arc Mouse). I though it was because my computer is very close to thw wireless hotspot and both use the same frquency (2.4 Ghz), but, when I use it on Windows it works very well. I don't know what is happening.

G'day, just brought a new Microsoft laser mouse 5000 and can only find very basic preferences for it. I would like to be able to push the tilt wheel and go-to dashboard.
Any ideas?

Microsoft Arc Mouse not working with my Windows Xp home computer

I bought the MS Arc Mouse yesterday and plugged the USB into my home computer and nothing happened. I didn't get a popup saying "new hardware recognized" or anything and the mouse did not work. I tried the mouse in my mom's laptop and it worked instantly... does this mouse work for home computers? Why isn't it responding?

Unplug mouse.
Download driver: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=MK (You need to select operating system, etc).
Install driver, and replug in mouse.
If it does not work at that point, establish that you are plugging it into back USB ports rather then front (as sometimes front USB ports are not powered). Also, try rebooting and changing ports.
