Microsoft Navision issue

Hi Navision Expert,
We are running Navision 2013 R2. we would like to export data from Navision database into the Hyperion. however, no matter how we export into certain folder in windows, always have access denied issued. Looks like it is permission issue, however after we
check we have login as the domain admins. Our server is using Windows Server 2008 R2.
Please advise.

Financial Reporting and Microsoft OLAP - issues with MDX

We have installed Oracle/Hyperion Financial Reporting 11 for a client. They are using a Microsoft Analysis Services 2000 'cube' as the data source. The cube has an Account Dimension with 9 levels in its hierarchy. We have found Financial Reporting truncates the MDX when querying Accounts at the lowest level (around 100 characters in the length of the MDX string) or when querying multiple account groups at a higher level (and displaying descendants). Does anyone have any workarounds or solutions? Is there a better way of doing things? Is there any documentaion on the limitations of using FR over MSOLAP? We have have built the cube with an Account No as the Short Name (Key) and the Account Description as the Name but FR insists on only displaying (and using in the MDX) the long Account Descriiption - whereas using Essabase you can drill down on the Member Names [Account No] but display the Alias [Account Name]

I don’t found the similar issue, please confirm your hardware compliant with the server 2012, update your BIOS at last release.
Please rerun the validation test then post the error or warning part, that report will quickly locate the issue.

Select Data Source and Microsoft Security Issue

Hi,
Tool- Xcelsius 2008, QAaWS
When I open dashboard, it gives message "Microsoft Office has identified a potential security concern" "Data Connection have been blocked. If you choose to enable data connection, your computer may no longer be secure. Do not enable this content unless you trust the source of this file." with <Enable> and <Discable> buttons.
If it Enabled then leads to "Select Data Source" screen and asks details for DSN.
At every open it shows same messages.
Please, help if anyone knows or faced this issue.

Microsoft Office Issues! :/ Help!!

I recently installed Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac on my Macbook Pro, and I'm having ISSUES!!! :/
1st Problem: With Microsoft Office installed, my dock is cluttered, so I want to remove the Microsoft icons from the dock and put them on the desktop. However, when I try this, none of the Microsoft Office programs will open! Instead, I get an error notification giving me the option to "relaunch" the application. Relaunching doesn't work, though. The same error notice keeps popping up, and the program never opens even when I click "reset and relaunch". The only way to get Microsoft Office to work again was to reinstall Microsoft Office. Why does this happen?! Must the icons stay on the dock?! Is there a way around this??
2nd Problem: I want to save my word documents as .doc files not .docx, and I want to save my Powerpoint files as .ppt not .ppx. However, when I try to save my documents/powerpoints as .doc/.ppt, the Microsoft program quits unexpectedly. Why can't I save my files in the old Microsoft format??!!

1. Do not clutter your desktop with icons. It will eventually cause slow start ups. You can make the dock smaller to accommodate the icons if you wish or not have them there or not have all of them there at all. When you drag an icon out of the dock it goes "puff" and disappears.
2. Make sure you have the latest updates of Office.

September 14 2010 Microsoft patch issue

Hello all,
I am about at the end of my rope on this one, I have a variety of HP printers at my office and I print to them via their static IP addresses. The patch that Microsoft put down on September 14, 2010 had a adverse affect to the printing to any PC's that were updated. The PC's can ping the address fine with no issues, but when you try to print their is always a error in printing. The PC's that were not updated do not have this problem. All of the PC's in question are running Windows XP, I did have a Vista machine running with it also but I was able to resolve the problem on that machine and the Windows 7 machines do not seem affected with the issue.
I am running out of ideas on how to resolve this issue, I have deleted the ports and drivers and reinstalled them. I have uninstalled the patches and also have done system restores to earlier dates in history. I have shutdown the firewalls on the machines and I have updated all the machines with the latest drivers from HP's website. But still when I try to print a test page nothing happens and it errors out. I took a machine out of storage with a clean install of Windows XP and updated it with all the patches and had no problem with adding the printers on the machine. I really don't want to reinstall all of the XP machines to correct the problem though. I did have on PC that was running with a laserjet 1160 connected via a USB port that had no IP printers setup on the system that I was able to update with the patch and easily install a laserjet M3035xs with no problems.
Also with this new patch the "Network Folders" feature of the Laserjet M3035xs cannot connect to any of the machines that were patched. So this machine that I just bought last week for the accounting office is pretty much worthless till I can find a way to resolve the issue.
Any and all ideas would be welcomed at the moment.

If you use mcafee total protection service, this may help. I had this problem involving windows xp, hp printers and mcafee total protection service. printer showed ready, could be pinged, right drivers, etc. To resolve, I launched mcafee console, selected view application list from the drop down and for some reason, spooling was being blocked by the firewall. Once I changed it to "allow" subsequent print jobs printed just fine. Good luck.

Microsoft Powerpoint Issues with OSX Mavericks

I ran a clean install of OSX Mavericks upon its initial release. Since then and the fresh installation of Microsoft Office 2011, I have encountered an occuring issue where upon opening the application, a message appears stating "There is a problem with the Office database". The message suggests rebuilding the damaged database, however I have done that multiple times with no success. I have also tried other methods suggested on the Office Support site to no avail. I have even gone to the trouble of removing and re-installing Office multiple times and the issue still persists. In the past week the issue has developed into Powerpoint crashing whenever a task is undertaken, such as copy & paste. I am running Version 14.3.9. Thanks for any help in advance.

SBS2008 Client for Microsoft Network issues

Hi Everyone,
I'm working on a client server and was called in after some strange IP issues. I found that Client for Microsoft Networks was missing and am unable to get it reinstalled.
Originally, I got an error that a Timeout occurred (I don't have the exact error because it isn't what I'm getting anymore).
After a bunch of reboots and a few attempts to reset the network stack with netsh (ipv4, ipv6, winsock), I'm now getting an error when I try to install the Client for Microsoft Networks that the RPC call failed.
The RPC service is running.
I'm at my wits, end, and at a total loss.
Can anyone think of any way to magically reinstall Client for Microsoft networks? Powershell? anything? ha.

Well it looks like it found and repaired one thing. Lets reboot and take a look at the network settings. If you can't install the Client again we're gong to go through a little more advanced diagnostic which should be fun :)
Download the Sysinternals tools procmon,
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx this will capture everything the system does so it'll give a ton of information. The steps are as follows.
1) Open procmon
2) DONT FILTER ANYTHING, when prompted to click the 'cancel' button on the filter window
3) Stop the capture (Ctrl+E on the keyboard)
4) Get to the Networking Properties and do every step to install the Client EXCEPT for the step that throws the error
5) Start the capture (Ctrl+E)
6) Trigger the error
7) Stop the capture
Save the PML file and upload it.

Transfer data from SAP R/3 to Microsoft Navision

Hi gurus,
This is my first post here. I'm wondering what the easiest way is to transfer mainly master data (customers/materials) but also historical order data (sales- and purchase orders) out of SAP. I need to get the result in .txt files that then will be used as base for the import to the Navision system.
I've read about this and several people are talking about ABAP Queries, transform data to complete IDOC's and pass-out, use BI etc.
Will we end-up creating a new customized ABAP program or is there already an existing tool or another easy way to solve this ?

Hi,
You have various methods for getting the data to flat files for uploading into another NONSAP system.
Some of the methods are BAPIs, IDOCS, .
Simple method for downloading data from tables to textfiles is as follows:
GOTO se11 --> table name --> display all entries --> EDIT MENU --> download .
here it will give options for downloading to text files, spreadsheets, rich text etc.
This is the case if you want to download data from tables . if you want data regarding the transactions (which affects more than 1 table) then you have to go to IDOCS or BAPIs.

Microsoft word issue

Hello everyone,
I have one small bug with the latest version of microsoft word 2011 on OS X leopard. Sometimes when I have already opened a document and that I want to change the font color, my computer freezes for several minutes, until it defreezes and the color palette is not visible. Usually when I open the color palette on a blank document immidiately after having created it, there is no problem.
It is actually quite annoying because sometimes i forget it and am unable to work for several minutes.
Does anybody know why is this happening?

I installed Lion on my computer and now microsoft Office is working properly. I have Microsoft office 2011. I can not send mail in Outlook. I keep getting an error.

Microsoft Publisher Issues

For some reason our client, using the latest Filr updates and patches, is unable to edit publisher docs through the Filr web interface. They can create and share via the windows client but when they open from the Web interface they cannot edit them. Is this a known issue?

Probably totally unsupported and unsure if it works (have not personally tested) but here is a document how you could probably solve the issue: https://www.novell.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=7013243
The document is for Vibe but I believe it could also work for Filr since they share a lot of code. Try in a test environment and report back.

Microsoft 'Surface' issues with Adobe

ICROSOFT "sI have just puchased microsoft 'surface" windows RT. I have tried accessing 2 fav websites and both inform me I need to download adobe flash player but from what I can establish this is already downloaded. Is there something I can do that will will allow me to resolve?

I do not know Windows RT - does it have Internet Explorer 10 on it? If so, Flash Player is preinstalled on IE10.
Search Google for windows rt surface flash support to see the limitations of Flash on Windows RT.
