Microsoft Office Home or Professional

Question

I need to purchase Microsoft Office for my four home computers, but I have a server at my house for an intranet, and email.
Which Microsoft Office edition will work with this setup? And do I have to purchase 4 different softwares to make this work?
Seems dedundant if there all my computers, and I'm the owner to them.

That depends on which Office programs you need to use. Home/Professional come with different options.
By the book, yes you need to purchase separate copies, especially for professional. Unofficially, I've installed my own copy of Professional on multiple machines without any ill effect.
