Microsoft Office not running ok

Hey guys, I need some help!!
I just installed MS Office Mac onto my MBP, and sometimes the programs will open just fine... sometimes when I try to open them then they appear on the dock and then disappear with out any warning... then sometimes it would appear that I'm about to get in but I don't. Instead there's a message that says it closed unexpectedly and asks me if I want to retry, quit, or report the error.
I have done the updates from the installation. Can anyone help me out?!

I don't believe Office 2004 is Universal yet so all Office apps must run under Rosetta on an Intel Mac but this should not cause this problem.
Select the Entourage application via the Finder and use Get Info. This should be automatic but check if run under Rosetta is selected.
If so, use the Office uninstall feature to remove all Office applications and try re-installing Office.

I was given advice to re-install these programs, but that ended up deleting iPhoto, which is another issue I am now dealing with. I tried re-installing iLife09 from the receipt file but it told me that I must have Mac OS 10.5.5 or higher, I have 10.6:
This is really bugging me, not sure what to do. Everything was working fine up until the Snow Leopard install. I also do not have the entire computer backed up anywhere, just my music and important documents so using Time Machine isn't an option unfortunately.

IMO, you have only one realistic option if you want to try to fix things as they stand (ignoring iPhoto) (i.e., without doing and erase and install and having an original iLife install DVD). Try a repair install of Sno by installing Sno over Sno as in an upgrade install. Such an install, while usually very safe, still is an install so be appropriated backed up if you proceed. You will need to reinstall the 10.6.2 combo updater.
If this approach does not work, then I think that you have lost the iLife apps unless you have a related original install DVD. If you do, then you can do an erase and install of Sno and reinstall the iLife apps.
Another possibility is to do an archive and install. Generally speaking, such an install is not very likely to yield an acceptable installation. Under your circumstances, I would say their is only a tiny probability that you would end up with a decent install.

How do I resolve a confict between Acrobat X Pro and Microsoft Office 2010 running on a W7 Pro 32bit

After I use Acrobat X Pro, and particularly if I have Acrobat X Pro running, the Microsoft Office 2010 programs (Outlook, Excel and Word) become very unstable.
Outlook has a real tendency to crash when I try to add a file attachment to an email.
Word gets mad while trying to find files across a local network.
and Excel almost always crashed while shutting down (the Excel program).
The problem is getting worse (more frequent crashes) as time goes by.
I am not "pointing the finger" at any specific software. I'm just looking for some things to try to resolve my problem with my setup.
If this is the wrong forum for this question I humbly beg your forgiveness (providing you give me a suggestion as to where I should go for help).

Mac Lion and Microsoft Office Not Supported

I just updated my Mac Pro with 10.7.2 and now won't support Microsoft Office 2004. How come or what can I do? I can't access documents, spread sheets, power point.

Lion does not support Rosetta which is required to run PPC-only applications. You can upgrade to Office 2011 that works with Lion. Or you can try a free suite similar to Office 2007 for Windows - Libre Office.

When I open a link to a doc file, it opens in Microsoft Office 2010 as a .bmp file. I opened Firefox options to change what application should be used to open doc files, but it only gives me the option of the general Microsoft Office, not Microsoft Word.

This did not happen on my laptop when I installed the Microsoft Office home & student edition, and my laptop also has Windows 7 and I use Firefox. Please help!

IMovie and Microsoft Office NOT WORKING! PLEASE HELP!

Just recently, out of nowhere, my iMovie and Microsoft Office stopped working; they won't turn on. I have Leopard 10.5, and they had been working on it since recently. Whenever I start iMovie, the "This program has quit unexpectedly" window comes up. Here's what I did. Firstly, I reported the problem to Apple and tried relaunching the program. That didn't work. Then, I deleted anything I had downloaded recently that may have affected it. Nothing. Next, I tried going into Library>Preferences and deleting all files with "iMovie" in the name. Nada. I then opened up disk utility and repaired disk permissions; yup, you guessed it, it didn't work. Finally, I archived and reinstalled Leopard, but it's still not working.
As for Microsoft Office, I have only reported the problem and deleted recent downloads. I haven't tried anything else (excluding the Leopard thing) to fix Office.
Please help ASAP! I need both of these applications for an upcoming project... and I may have to see a Mac Genius after this...

Well, that tells us that it's most likely something in your user account and not with iMovie or Office in general. If you need to get your videos edited right away and don't have time for troubleshooting, you can transfer them to the other account by copying them into the Users -> Shared folder. That would allow you to have access to them from the working account.
As to fixing the problem, you might try asking in the iMovie forum. It's possible that you have a corrupted project that iMovie keeps trying to open by default and that deleting that project might fix the problem. I'm not an iMovie user, though, so I'm not sure. Asking in the iMovie forum will probably get you more informed suggestions.
As to Office, what version is it, and do none of the applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Entourage) launch, or is it just some and if so which one(s)?

Microsoft office (2011 version) is not working in my Mac Air 11' (I bought it last year) and I did not find a way to fix the problem. Anyone had the same problem?

I got my macbook in March 2010 and have been able to use microsoft office until now. Whenever I open work, powerpoint, or excel, I get the message " check with the developer to make sure that microsoft word works with with this version of mac os x. you may need to reinstall the application. be sure to install any updates for the application and mac os x." I have updated my computer with the most recent version of os x. Now what? My office suite is still not opening. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Microsoft office not working after upgrade to Mountain Lion

Since I've upgraded my macbook pro to the latest software my microsoft office is no longer working. Message says it is no longer supported. Version was 2004 I think but it was working fine. Don't have access to any discs at the moment as they are in shipping with the rest of our stuff coming back to the uk from NZ. Can't open existing documents and doesnt convert downloaded docs into pages either. Any ideas anyone? I'm job hunting so pretty frustrating and urgent.

Right 2004 office doesn't work with Lion or Mountain Lion.

I have just installed microsoft office for mac, but when i try to use word etc the welcome screen pops up but i cant click continue. The colour wheel spins next to my cursor and i cant use the toolbar at the top of the screen. Any ideas?

Microsoft Office Not Connecting to AD RMS Server

HELP!!!!
I recently Deployed AD RMS to my Network and all configurations completed.
When I try to protect a document, I select Manage credentials and select the option to Use a Microsoft Windows Account as shown below
It prompts for my credentials and the dialog box shows that it is pointing to the deployed server.
upon entering my credentials it displays accessing Rights Management Server for a couple of seconds and then returns
"A problem occurred while contacting the restricted permission service. please try again later or contyact your administrator for more details...
Please Helps as this is delaying the completion of this project. Below are my Servers Info:

I am facing the same issue as mentioned by loadedleke.

I use my microsoft outlook almost daily on my imac, but for some reason the last two days I cannot get the application to open. I logged into the imac under my husband's account and have no problems accessing the application. Help please!

Open Office not running.

I've installed openoffice-base. and when I run the soffice command in the terminal it returns:
I18N: Operating system doesn't support locale ""
I18N: Operating system doesn't support locale "en_US"
when I run ps aux, it shows that openoffice is sleeping.
what's going on and how do I fix this? I need this program for work.

You probably didn't set the locale correctly when you installed (I've done it, too).
From the wiki (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Locale): "First you have to enable the locales you want being supported by your system. To enable or disable them, the file /etc/locale.gen is used. It contains every locale you can enable, and you have just to uncomment lines you want to do so." Then "After you've enabled the necessary locales, you have to run locale-gen as root to update them."
