Here is the *real* answer to this question that everyone is looking for:
Missing sku1a1.cab file
1) Get your OneNote product key off your computer.
There is a little free program that will do this for you here:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/produkey.zip
2) Uninstall OneNote
3) Download the trial version of OneNote here:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/onenote/prodinfo/trialoffer.mspx
4) Install the trial version and enter your product key when prompted
5) Check "install updates" at the end of the installation process and it will install SP2 and put you back where you were before the sku1a1.cab file disappeared.

I am re-posting this topic.
I just wanted to clarify one point, the reason I included the "key application" was because most questions I've seen regarding the missing *.cab file have been from people who own the product but can't find their CD or key number.
This is what happened to me, and this is the solution I found that worked, when none of the forums I searched provided a workable answer. My solution will not work if you do not own the product in the first place, because the key application won't be able to find a key on your computer for this program.

But I dont think that the using of any key showing programs is necessary.
In my knowledge you should receive a CD cover with the activation key for OneNote.
You should check the back side of the cover.

OneNote2003 needs SKU1A1.CAB file

I recently had a problem with my virus software end ended up having to reinstall it. Part of the process was to clean the virus software from the registry. Now every time I boot up Windows installer wants to reinstall OneNote2003 which came pre-installed with my computer. I get an error message saying that the file SKU1A1.CAB is missing and I need to insert the product CD.
Obviously I don't have that since MS OneNote was pre-installed and I cannot get round this. My theory is that this file accidentally was deleted when I re-installed my virus software. Have tried MS support site and they say to use the product CD, which I don't have.
Anyone have any suggestions?

J2SDK instalation failure- missing sd142000.cab file

I am trying to install JDK1.4.2 on Window xp but installation gives error message "sd142000.cab file is missing in Documentandsetting\EI5\Temp folder."
I tried searching my machine but could not find the above stated file. I would appreciate someone's help.

First of all, download the complete unpack file rather than the on-the-fly installation kit. In other words, download the big one. Now go into internet explorer options, click the advanced tab and scroll down to the options for Microsoft Virtual Machine (VM). Uncheck the VM boxes (3), apply changes, and restart your computer. Now run the install package. It should work. The micosoft java emulator doesn't like the real thing apparently.

Error 1311 - missing Data1.cab file

I have researched this problem and still need help because I think my problem is different. First off, here's what happened...
I purchased and legally own CS4 Master Collection. I had it installed on my desktop. I ended up uninstalling Adobe Acrobat 9 pro. A week after doing that I had to do a system restore to a restore point BEFORE I uninstalled it. So the program obviously showed up again but with the error. Because of the error I uninstalled CS4 completely, thinking I could reinstall it again. Well when I went to reinstall, it already said that Adobe Acrobat 9 was installed already so I wasn't able to select it again to reinstall. All of the other programs installed just fine. And then when I go to try repair Acrobat 9, it doesn't even show as being installed with the other CS4 collection. And when I double click to open it, it does open and when I go to repair it, it will open up an installation box saying it's going to install and then gives that error 1311 saying the Data1.cab file is missing. And it is missing.
So my question is, how do I uninstall it when there's no option to uninstall it. Or how do I get the needed Data1.cab back in place to see if it will indeed install properly?

Sorry about that, my desktop is running Windows Vista home edition.
I can uninstall every program through the add & remove programs feature except for Adobe Acrobat 9.0 pro. It doesn't show up as even being installed. Same with when I uninstalled and reinstalled it. It didn't give me the option to select it for installation.
Ok, I'm just uninstalling the programs again and will run the cleaner tool. Fingers crossed that it removes it!

CRXIR2 SP5 missing m32.cab file

On Saturday i planned to upgrade our Crystal reports server from sp1 to sp5 (Crystal reports XI Release 2). Note Monthly Hot Fix 1 had been installed.
I installed SP2 and everything went as planned. When it came to SP5 it was missing the M32.cab file so rolled back and wouldn't allow it to be installed. I verfied that the m32.cab files wasn't in the temp directory. Why does it not extract this file?

very strange as this service pack works on our test environment but doesn't on our live one. the m32.cab file doesn't extract in the Temp folder for either environments but only asks for that file when installing on live

Missing M182.cab file when installing Crystal Reports XI Professional

I am installing Crystal Reports XI Professional onto a Windows XP Professional machine and it gets as far as the m182 cab file and then says that cannot complete as the file is missing. I browsed the CD and the file is missing. I am wondering if I can download this file from anywhere

Preinstalled MS OneNote can not be updated to Service Pack1. During an update or reinstallation of Microsoft Office OneNote on the Notebook, the following error message may appear:
"Microsoft Office OneNote Setup cannot continue because the installation source has been corrupted."
Try re-installing Microsoft Office OneNote from the Toshiba Recovery DVD. OneNote is present on a later release of this DVD, but not on the first release. If Microsoft Office OneNote is not present on the Toshiba Recovery DVD, then follow these steps to resolve the problem:
1. Locate the Microsoft Office OneNote Product Key, on the Certificate of Authenticity which is provided with your computer.
2. Un-install Microsoft OneNote, through the Add/Remove Programs applet in the Windows Control Panel (Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs).

Can I install OneNote 2003 from the recovery disk?

I need a clarification (both my local Toshiba dealer and Microsoft helpdesk have proven to be equaly useless)
I have a Toshiba Satellite and product recovery
Recently (per mistake) I uninstalled Microsoft OneNote 2003
It is still on my recovery CD, I have licence number but I cannot install it without reinstaling whole system and formatting my hard disc?
And I really don't want to do that.
Is there any other way?

It seems you didnt understand the whole thing
The point is that you get the software (for free) in connection with your notebook.
Its is not a full licence. Its an OEM licence this means that you can use this software only on this notebook.
Because of that you have to use the Recovery disk if you want to use all the additional (non-Toshiba) programs.
The Toshiba tools and software can be downloaded from the Toshiba page but you will be not able to download non-Toshiba software.

2003 to 2008 R2 file cluster migration - shares fail to migrate due to missing client access point

Hello,
I need to migrate my 2003 cluster to 2008 R2, but am having difficulty doing so. I have a 2003 2 node disk and node majority cluster which has 3 groups (2 individual file shares) and a separate group for the quorum.
I'm trying to migrate my 2003 groups to a 2 node 2008 r2 cluster.
I've ran through the cluster migration wizard as

In summary:
- I ran the 2008 r2 cluster run migration wizard and connected to my 2003 cluster
- Once the wizard completes, I left the the newly migrated group on the 2008 r2 cluster offline
- Took the appropriate file share and disk resource group offline on 2003
- Ensured the iSCSI disks for my migrated data are showing correctly on the 2008 R2 node (I'm using the same drive letter which my 2003 node used for the moved disk)
- I then brough the resources online. Resources fail to come online as client access point is missing, so I add a new access point (http://blogs.technet.com/b/askcore/archive/2010/08/24/using-multiple-client-access-points-cap-in-a-windows-server-2008-r2-failover-cluster.aspx)
- Restart my 2008 r2 cluster node
- File share is missing! The file share has not been imported
I then tried the registry key export and import:
- On my 2003 active cluster node I export HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Shares
- I take the appropriate cluster resource and disk offline on my 2003 node
- Attach the disk to my 2008 R2 cluster node
- Added the new disk as a cluster resource (again keeping the same drive letter)
- Merged the 2003 registry key with the share information (note examining regedit shows the newly imported key)
- Restart the server, but the share doesn't show up in the cluster administrator or share management tool on my 2008 R2
1. Is it even possible to transfer file shares using the cluster migration wizard from 2003 to 2008 r2? Maybe I'm missing a step with the client access point (or do I need to transfer all cluster resources over at once).
2. Should the registry key export import work, when the shares have been created under the cluster administration console (as opposed to windows explorer)?

Currently there is no such a tool which could help transfer Sharing permissions to a new server or a new cluster.

From this article, share permission of a Windows Server 2008 R2 failover Cluster will be stored in HKLM\Cluster\Resources\<GUID>\Parameters.
You can test to export that keys to new cluster to see if shares will occur however as it is GUID involved, it may not work on a new cluster.

Have you downloaded 1.4MB file that you run or you set it running from the beginning? I recommend to download this web installer and run it with higher privileges (Run as Administrator)
Before doing it make sure that the Microsoft or its partner site from which you download is among the trusted and that you deleted the cache (INTERNET EXPLORER: Tools -> Internet Options -> General : Delete (all))
Also look into Event logs for traces (errors and warnings) and share your findings.

I am unable to install jdk1.5.0.07/jdk1.5.0.11and while Copying files this error is generated.
"Data1.cab file is missing or corrupt.". I have tried to download the same from Sun's download centre as offline installation.

I have tried downloading it again and also used the installer which was successfully able to install on Windows XP.
Also, a few days back I was able to install jdk1.5.0.07 but then my system was attacked by some trojan and I had to format it. Since then I am unable to install it using the same exe.

KM Image file name for Microsoft Office 2003 documents

We want to change the images which display for Microsoft Office 2003 files loaded into KM to something more recognizable, but we CANNOT find the image files for .XLS, .DOC, .PPT, etc.
Any Ideas what they are called? Are they in the standard image repository?

Hi Brian,
the icons are saved under /etc/public/mimes/images.
You can go to KM Content and upload there your own icons, You can either replace the SAP standard ones (ie: document.gif for .DOC) or you can change the KM Configuration (Content Management -> Utilities -> Icons) so that your own icons are associated with the MIME types you want to change. The second solution should be more upgrade safe in my opinion.

Frankly, this is outrageous. This issue has been open for close to 5 months. Rather than simply updating the SP4 incremental update with the correct files, SAP's brilliant response is to tell us that the file is STILL broken, but ***** you, whenever we fix it it will be the full build only. Well, thanks! That makes it so much easier. Rather than looking at Crystal Reports 2008, maybe it's time to suck it up and look elsewhere,

   Yes, I am downloading it from a Win2003 machine. The browser is IE7.
   I can even see what's inside the m293.cab, and it is not the file mentioned on the error message...
   This is the m293.cab content (one file):
   tslv.dll.7ADA0B91_68E0_4E90_AD3D_23C9E3079BAB
   The file doesn't seem to be corrupted, it just doesnt have what was expected by the installer software.
   I tried downloading it again and had the same result... These are the installation files that I've already tried with the same result:
    - crsxir2win_sp4.exe (from [https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100009887052008E/crsxir2win_sp4.exe])
