Microsoft Outlook 2010 Calender Permissions

Hi,
Iam using Office 365 email and outlook client on my computer, I have been trying to setup a calendar were a colleague can also access it and add events and delete if required. I've tried setting up a shared calendar but this does not work as they cannot
edit the events. I've also tried to delegate control using the options in outlook however this gives an error message. I've been told that this could be done via powershell however I haven't been able to find this online. If someone can give me some help please
it would be appreciated.

Microsoft Outlook 2010 cannot connect to exchange server

I have just got Microsoft Outlook 2010 and I cannot open it.
When I click to open it I get an error message saying that "the connection to microsoft exchange is unavailable. Microsoft must be online or connected to complete this action"
I have checked my connection www.testexchangeconnectivity.com
and everything is OK here. I can connect through owa and I use the exchange server on my ipad and my phone so I have no idea what is going on.
I have tried lots of other solutions that have been on forums but none of them have worked for me. Please can you help?

If you test on www.testexchangeconnectivity.com is ok.
Maybe it has some issue on Client setting.
So please check if client setting is correct and if you fill the DNS server on client and can resolve the Exchange URL.

Exporting Palm Tungsten E2 contacts and Calendar to Microsoft Outlook 2010

How do I export Palm Tungsten E2 contacts and Calendar to Microsoft Outlook 2010. The normal suggested methods do not seem to work. I have part of the contact list in the Address Book area of Outlook, but have been unable to open the window.
I would appreciate any suggestions you might have.

If you sync with Palm Desktop, you should be able to do it directly on your computer:
Start Button > All Programs > Palm > PIM Conduit Sync > Sync with Outlook
On my Windows 8 installation, when I have the Start screen show all programs, there is an icon for Sync with Outlook. I haven't tried it, because I don't like Outlook.

Microsoft Outlook 2010 email stuck at outbox, the mail will successful send out after you restart the outlook

Dear Mdm/Sir,
I've a problem on Microsoft outlook 2010 with service pack 2.
Sometime it cannot send out email, the email will stuck at outbox. It only work after you restart the outlook and resend.
I've add the 2 email account into this Outlook profiles and running at Windows 7 professional Operating system.
I've try run the Outlook into safe mode, but it can't solve the problem too.
I also create a new email profile and user profile, but still cannot solve the problem.

Can you please check onto the Exchange server, the Outbox folder size and Items in it. Use the below command to verify the Outbox folder.
Get-MailboxFolderStatistics -Identity <Alias> -FolderScope Outbox
Look out for ItemsInFolder and FolderSize. If it displays content in it, you would need to remove the emails from the Outbox Folder. The Outbox folder can be accessed from the OWA light version.

Problems with contacts in Microsoft Outlook 2010, when sending emails to a contact from Outlooks adressbook

I can´t send any email directly from Contacts in My Microsoft Outlook 2010 Swedish 32 bit version (Computer has Windows 7 professional 64 bit Swedish system).
When I type the email address directly in the field all functions well.
When I take the mailaddress from Contact its looks like:
Firstname surename ([email protected])
I Think it has the wrong format
Earlier the adress from Contacts was
Firstname Surename <[email protected]>
How can I make the Contacts addressbok back to the earlier format?
I hope someone has an answer to my problem!

Any symptoms when you can't send emails from Contacts? Any error message?
Based on my research, Firstname Surname <[email protected]> is specific to the contacts in Global Address List (GAL), while for other contacts in Outlook Address Book, it displays as Firstname surname ([email protected]).
If a contact is stored in both GAL and Outlook Address Book, it follows the rule in GAL which means it displays as Firstname Surname <[email protected]>.

Setup icloud email address uner Microsoft Outlook 2010

I had followed the instruction given by Apple to me to setup my new icloud email address under Microsoft Outlook 2010. It did not work!
I try to use the configuration for my me.com, it still failed.
Can somebody show me the details to set it up in detail.

Is there any way to use microsoft outlook 2010 on ipad? Or is there apple app or program that will copy over all of the existing structure, folders, etc... and sync?

I recently received a gift of a new ipad. Unfortunately I can't really switch from my Windows lap top until I figure out a way to use the ipad for my business emails which I use Outlook 2010 for. There are a singnificant amount of folders and history, with various attachments, that I have to have access to and I have been unable to find a way to move all of this over to the ipad. I use Yahoo mail for my primary mail server and can get the Yahoo mail on the ipad with no problem. But I do not have the full folder structure set up on Yahoo that I have on Outlook 2010 and to do so would be very time consuming...and I'm note even sure how I could move all the folders back to Yahoo and all the emails contained in them, many of which have been long deleted form Yahoo, back to Yahoo. Ideally I would just install Outlook 2010 on ipad and export all the files over. But there doesn't seem to be any Outlook 2010 program for ipad...if there is, please tell me about it. Otherwise, I need a relatively quick alternative that will not force me to recreate my entire Outlook 2010 folder structure and copy emails over folder by folder. If anyone has had the same issues, and was able to solve them, I would very much appreciate knowing how to do this. I like the ipad and want to use it for my main platform. Thanks

Microsoft Outlook 2010 Error "Another version of Outlook is currently running." when clicking on a mailto link

Our company recently upgraded from Outlook 2007 to Outlook 2010. The mailto links on an intranet work fine on local computers running Outlook 2010 but on the terminal servers, users are getting the following error:
"Another version of Outlook is currently running. Close it and try again."
I have made sure that Outlook is the default mail client.
Home & Business Click2Run has never been installed on the terminal server.
The error happens in standard as well as safe mode.

What program is set as default for mailto?
Have you installed Home & Business Click 2 Run before? There is a limitation in click 2 run version that the mailto is trying to use your older version of Outlook.
If this is not the situation, try to test this issue in the safe mode.
Click
Start, point to All Programs, and then point to
Microsoft Office.
Press and hold the
CTRL key, and then click Microsoft Outlook.
If the problem does not occur in the safe mode, this issue might be related to some third-party add-ins in the Office program, we can try to disable them.
Please also set Outlook as the default email client on the computer.

Now click Set your default programs.

Microsoft outlook 2010 not working after installing proxy server and ForeFront TMG firewall

I am trying to have Outlook 2010 work though proxy server recently installed on internal network, I have configured IE to use the proxy settings, but I cannot find the
same with Outlook 2010, I want to clarify that we use Outlook 2010 to connect to internet email and we installed ForeFront TMG firewall on the proxy server and as a result of that we changed the IP settings and after that Outlook stopped sending and receiving
mails and gives error: “receiving reported error (0x800408fc): 'The Server name you entered cannot be found (it might be down temporarily).”
So please help us by sharing how to fix this issue to make Outlook work though proxy server

Are you using Exchange account? If you are changing your Exchange account to use a proxy server, I suggest we can create new profile and automatically re-configuring your account with autodiscover service to have a try:

If the account can’t be configured automatically, please manually configure the account and change the settings for procy server:
1. In the Account Settings dialog box, click the
Email tab, click to select the Exchange account, and then click
Change.
2. Click More Settings. On the Connections tab, click
Exchange Proxy Settings.
3. In Connection settings, type the proxy server FQDN under Use this URL to connect to my proxy server for Exchange, click OK to have a try, and then click
OK to save all settings.
4. Restart Outlook.

Nope...the device OS 6.0 has only been released so far (I think) for the Torch. And device OS 6.0 and Outlook 2010 are not linked as far as this issue is concerned.

Synchronising to microsoft outlook 2010

I have an iPhone 4S. I've downloaded the latest version of itunes today (3 March 2015). Don't know what version it is because I can't find anywhere on iTunes where this is located.
I use MS Outlook 2010 and wish to synchronise my iPhone and Outlook contacts. Previous versions of iTunes enabled you to select MS Outlook contacts as the syncing location. The latest version doesn't give me that option, or it's buried away and I can't for love nor money find it.
How do I do this please with the latest version of iTunes?

Icloud and microsoft outlook 2010

Hi i just got a new computer and trying to set up outlook mail with my gmail account.
i have worked with Microsoft every day setting up the email account to the data file. i have icloud for my contacts and calendar only NOT my email. every time micorost fixes the email account it disappears and gets replaced by the icloud account and I can not receive mail. it has happened 5 times. i have worked with level 2 guys in microsoft and
it still happens. i can not get help with Apple because i do not have a mac.
why would the icloud interfere with my mail in outlook to download it and wipe it away.
when this happens i can not get my mail in outlook
any suggestions? is it outlook, icloud or my computer

I was looking into what may be casing this issue and found a bit of info that may be helpful. In an article called iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3999
I recommend starting here:
Turn iCloud Calendar off and back on:
Close Outlook.
Open the Windows Control Panel:
In Windows 8, move the pointer to the upper-right corner of the screen to show the Charms bar, click the Search charm, and then click the iCloud Control Panel on the left.
In Windows 7 and Vista, choose Start menu > All Programs > iCloud > iCloud.
Remove the checkmark in the checkbox next to Mail, Contacts, Calendars & Tasks, and click Apply. Wait a few seconds, then replace the checkmark, and click Apply.
Open Outlook and test to see if the issue has been resolved.
Ensure the iCloud Outlook Add-in is active within Outlook.
Outlook 2010:
Open Outlook 2010.
Click the File menu.
Click Options in the left panel of the Outlook window.
Click Add-Ins in the left panel of the Outlook Options window.
Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins" and verify that the "iCloud Outlook Add-in" is listed.
For Outlook 2007, follow these steps to verify the iCloud Outlook Add-in is active
Open Outlook 2007.
From the Tools menu, choose Trust Center.
Select Add-ins from the left column.
Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins" and verify that the "iCloud Outlook Add-in" is listed.
For additional information about managing Add-ins with Microsoft Outlook, see this Microsoft support document.
Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it does reinitialize your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.

Microsoft Outlook 2010 Has Stopped Working

I contact you regarding an Outlook 2010 (Windows 7) problem that I am having. In the past Outlook has constantly closed after I send an email and then reopens on its
own. It didn't occur every time but has happened since I started and often several times a day. Now I cannot open Outlook at all and get the below error message. I have tried opening Outlook in the safe mode but without success. Do you have

Does outlook crash before sending email or after sending email? We could go to Outlook Web App(or Web-based access) to check the email sending with success.
First make sure that you have Microsoft Update configured to also check for Office updates.
Then when you use a data file, it could be that an issue with that data file is preventing Outlook from starting correctly. You can use scanpst.exe to scan the mentioned data file for errors. The location of scanpst.exe depends on your version and language
of Outlook. When the scan is done and errors have been fixed, run scanpst.exe again until no errors are found anymore. If after scanning the file more than 3 or 4 times errors are still found, you might want to copy over your data in a new data file.

All the above methods don't work. You could recreate your mail profile in Control Panel > Mail applet. You could first add a new mail profile without deleting or otherwise affecting your current configuration just to see if it will indeed solve your issue.
If so, you can easily migrate your Outlook data file from the broken mail profile to the newly created one.
